Connie Cramer Personal Trainer - Personal Trainer for 60+ Strength training for everyday life

If you want to save money, have one to one training in a bright and well equipped work out gym, and…read moreget diet help along the way, try Connie Cramer, personal trainer. No more wasted gym memberships. Money is saved by not fulfilling the membership fees and "conveniently" having a fee removed from your checking account every month. One class available as a consult, basically to introduce you to the many circuit machines. Memory fades, training moves forgotten and there is a default to elliptical or treadmill. I wanted to have a longer training class, and if I chose to do that at the gym, member trained you, that is a separate class, and more money per hour than Connie. I am so happy to have one to one training session for 1 hour three times week. She knows when to encourage you to do a little bit more on the exercises,to help reaching your goal. She never leaves your side, she counts, and is likely to be more accurate than you. Adds exercises as improvement is seen. Will give diet tips, with a journal, if weight loss is part of your program.Rest periods as needed, but no slacking off. You get her attention for 60 mins, not 58, 59.. This is exactly what I needed, and the improvement is already being seen in 3 weeks. Connie is very nice, and very accommodating. She is the discipline I didn't have.

The Peekskill location of Planet Fitness is a convenient gym to get a good workout in. For the…read moreprice that you pay, you are able to get a good amount of machines and equipment to work out with, especially if you want to workout on the treadmills and ellipticals. There are an abundance of machines to get your cardio in. When it comes to weights, the dumbbells only go as high as about 65 pounds. That is perfectly fine for the workouts that I do, but advanced weightlifters will want to skip this gym if they require heavier weights for their workouts. The staff here are very nice and are helpful in answering questions. One thing that has surprised me is that the staff greet each person as they walk in and leave the gym. I was surprised by this because it adds a personal touch, when most gyms seem to not care who enters or leaves the premises. This small action helps to build a sense of community within the gym. One downside to this gym is that it does get pretty crowded during peak workout times. I do wish there was more space at the dumbbell area, because I like to have some elbow room when I am lifting weights. What I do love about this gym is the amount of diversity that I see within the gym. Every person is respected regardless of their walk of life or gym level. This goes a long way to feeling like a welcomed member of the gym. Overall, this is a good gym to go to if you are looking for a cheap and convenient location to workout in.

Very bad customer service…read more Today I visited this location to get assistance with my membership. Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience. The employee at the counter, named Rafael, did not greet me or offer any help when I approached -- he was just standing there and seemed unsure of what to do when I asked for assistance. Thankfully, another staff member stepped in and was able to help me with my membership. However, this was my first visit, and it left me with a very poor first impression. I truly hope the level of service improves over time, as I would like to continue coming here.

I've been a member for several months now and I have to say this is one of the cleanest gyms I have…read moreever been to. There are lots of machines so I seldom have to wait, whether it's a treadmill, bike or weight machine. There are plenty of free weights, both fixed weight and barbells for adjustable weights. There's also a studio where they hold classes but I have not taken any yet so no comment. Compared to some of the other facilities around here, this seems to be a good deal!

To Management IN YORKTOWN…read more I have been a member for three years, and unfortunately, I feel the overall quality of the gym has declined, particularly regarding staff punctuality, building maintenance, and access to the private studio. First, staff members are frequently a minute late or barely on time when opening the gym at 5:00 AM. As members, we expect the facility to be open and ready to use at its advertised opening time. Even a small delay can be frustrating for those of us who plan our mornings around our workouts. Additionally, trainers are frequently speaking or shouting loudly into microphones during their classes. The volume seems unnecessarily high, especially when the classes are not particularly large. Other members should not have to hear the training sessions across the entire gym. I would appreciate it if management could address the microphone volume to create a more comfortable workout environment for everyone. Another concern is the private studio access scanner, which has reportedly been out of service for nearly two months. Members pay an additional fee for access to this space, yet it has been left accessible to everyone. This raises a serious question: What is the point of paying an additional fee for private studio access if the space is no longer restricted to paying members? Shouldn't members who pay for this privilege receive a credit or adjustment for the period during which access has not been properly controlled? Finally, I am very concerned about the ongoing leaks throughout the building. Rather than addressing the underlying problem, it appears that additional buckets are simply being placed beneath the leaks. This is not a long-term solution. For a gym in the Yorktown area charging members for access to its facilities, I would expect management to take building maintenance seriously and ensure these issues are properly investigated and repaired. As a member of three years, I am disappointed to see these issues continue without what appears to be a meaningful resolution. We pay for a facility that should be maintained properly, operated professionally, and provide the services and amenities promised to its members. I would appreciate a response addressing the following: Staff punctuality: Ensuring the gym opens promptly at 5:00 AM. Class volume: Adjusting microphone levels so trainers do not disrupt other members. Private studio access: Providing a timeline for repairing the scanner and clarifying whether members will receive a credit for the period during which access has not been properly restricted. Building leaks: Explaining what steps are being taken to identify and permanently repair the leaks rather than simply placing more buckets underneath them. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and provides a clear response regarding how and when these issues will be resolved. I would like to continue enjoying my membership, but the current situation is disappointing.
