I've taken more than my fair share of yoga classes with a variety of teaches, many of whom are stellar - however, Jen is by far the best. She starts off the class with just the perfect thing to say to you midweek - something inspiring yet relatable in her cool soothing voice. Every class I've taken with her is different and every class is great. She mixes it up enough to keep you on your toes but as a regular one can pick up on her style, whatever that is. Her music choice also flows with her class and you can honestly tell she really cares and is having fun while teaching. I can't ask for a better yoga class.

My favorite part is the different types of classes you can take, so it's not just original hot yoga but other types as well along with HIIT of course! This makes it fun to switch it up and also take a couple of classes in a row if you wanted, since they schedule different ones back to back. Another hugeeeee plus for me is that they have early morning classes and late at night if you slept through the morning ones like I often do LOL (along with late morning/ mid day, early evening etc). Additionally, the staff is nice & welcoming and I oftentimes see instructors paying extra attention/TLC to newcomers If you're a hot room lover then deff come to Yoga Freak ASAP!!!!

This studio prioritizes rigid policy over customer care, and I want to be specific so others can…read moremake an informed decision before booking. Their late policy is absolute: arrive even one minute past your class time and you will be locked out and charged -- no exceptions, including unforeseen circumstances. They do not answer their phone and do not accept voicemail, so there is no way to reach anyone in real time if something goes wrong. If you have time blindness, executive function challenges, ADHD, Cptsd, or a highly sensitive nervous system, this studio is not designed with you in mind. It is not trauma-informed, and the environment does not accommodate neurodivergence in any meaningful way. For those who need consistency and predictability, it's also worth knowing they have modified the traditional hot yoga sequence -- so what you practice here may not be what you expect. The waitlist system is also poorly communicated; you may not know you've been moved from a class you reserved until it's too late to plan around it. Beyond logistics, the atmosphere feels cold and unwelcoming -- though I'll leave it to others to determine how much of that is the studio versus the region. This studio is BUSINESS FOCUSED rather than CUSTOMER focused, which contributes to the stressed, unfriendly state of the world today. There are wonderful yoga communities out there that lead with warmth and genuine flexibility. This one, in my experience, is not among them.

I want to get strong now to prevent any of that happening in my future and I am so glad I decided to try some classes. I am currently taking Zumba Gold and Tai Chi and really loving both. I have absolutely noticed how my legs have gotten stronger and I feel more confident walking with improved posture and balance. Molly Roffman, the owner and instructor at StepWISEnow, is a physical therapist. She is so knowledgable about balance and fall risk and gives talks to medical professionals about its importance. Molly is an excellent and patient instructor. Her enthusiasm is infectious and when we're doing Zumba Gold, it's so much fun, you don't even feel like you're working out. Tai Chi class has made me stronger and feel so graceful, which is something new for me. If you have been thinking about your balance or have friends or relatives you might be concerned about, you need to come here. It's a warm, comforting and supportive place. Molly also offers a separate workshop on balance training, which has been very popular in the studio. Our neighborhood is so lucky to have StepWISEnow. Support your local business and come take a class. Or like me, take two! Oh and I did I mention that your first class is FREE? Come to the studio and let's get stronger together!

I didn't know any yoga prior to taking my first class at Dragonfly Wellness Yoga Studio, but it…read moredidn't matter because owner Kendra Rossney explained and demonstrated everything in a way that was easy to understand. Kendra stresses the importance of listening to your body, and not straining to hold a pose if your body is struggling. "I give bonus points for falling out of a pose," she often says. She also suggests that if she leads the class into a pose, it's okay to do something different if that's what your body needs. I took a few prenatal yoga classes at the beginning of the summer, but there was not enough interest to continue the class. Instead I go to regular classes, but Kendra always gives me modifications for things that I can't or shouldn't do while pregnant. I have heard that doing prenatal yoga poses and practicing the deep-breathing techniques that we learn in class will help ease labor, and I can't wait to experience this. Dragonfly Wellness offers more than just yoga, and I have been getting regular prenatal massages from Julie Johnson since my second trimester. At first I went once a month, and now that I'm in my third trimester I'm going for a prenatal massage every other week. I have been able to avoid much of the back pain that is typical in pregnancy, and I appreciate that Julie is able to adjust my massage each time based on what particular complaints I have, such as by focusing a bit longer on my shoulders if that's where I have tightness. She can even feel problem areas I may not even realize I have. And my unborn baby loves our massages too, if her kicking is any indication! I've now been taking classes here for over a year and getting massages for more than 6 months, and I know I'll continue coming to Dragonfly for years to come.

I've been training with her since 2023. I came in plateauing, constantly dealing with neck/back pain, and getting hurt despite working with plenty of trainers at the big, established gyms. I'd seen dedicated physical therapists too, and honestly, she understood what was going on with my body better than some of them. She noticed my hypermobility and realized I wasn't properly using some pretty important muscle groups--my core and lats especially. She actually went and researched all of this, thought of new exercises, and kept trying things to see what worked for me. Heavy weights + a balance challenge can just mean I do both badly, so she figured out how to separate those things and work on them properly. There's so much thought behind what she does. I'm stronger, understand my body better, and now ask her for workout plans on vacation, which I would not have predicted. She also keeps me from getting bored. We have ongoing arguments about exercise names (some of those lateral lunges are clearly a "dance move," sorry), and she tolerates my (nonexistent!) expertise. She gives it right back, which I love, and still gets me to do the workout. She checks in when something hurts, remembers what's going on in my life, and gets excited about the little wins. I once got a "SO PROUD" for going outside during the workday, immediately followed by a request for my step count. She'll push me, but she'll also tell me to go get some sleep when that's what I need. Basically a therapist and a trainer in one?? Don't tell her or the rates will go up.
