Came here this afternoon for afternoon tea with my friend and her son. Nice little and cozy place. Enough room for about 30 people comfortably. We started of with an amuse - a tiny cup of tomato soup. Next we ordered out teas - we went with the white peony, Madagascar bourbon and the traditional English tea. Out tower came out and it all looked delish! We started on the bottom and worked our way up! Chicken salad, egg salad, cucumber and turkey and Swiss started us off. Next we went to the chocolate chip scones and Irish scones with jam, clotted cream and lemon curd. The piece de resistance was the top tier - a chocolate chip cheesecake and a brûlée banana on a chocolate cake. It was all delish!

View of high yea from the top down.

Located in charming uptown Park Ridge is this gem of a Tea Room. We had high tea, and it's a wonderful experience. The food is so nicely presented - it's almost like a miniaturists dream. Forget about Downtown Chicago and slow your pace and linger through a relaxing old timey experience here at Tea Lula.

Lily took my reservation and Anne was our server... very impressed by the afternoon tea! I have had a fair share of afternoon teas at various fine dining hotels in the city but I was very pleased with the generous selection and limitless choices of teas to try by the pot during our 90-minute experience. The owners are tea connoisseurs, travelled extensively in india and Sri Lanka to learn about the teas. They are lovely and accommodating. My aunt and I wanted a window seat and they arranged for it without hesitation. The menu was curated by a chef and I liked most of the treats, especially the pear sandwich but I am traditional when it comes to cucumber sandwiches so wasn't wowed by the feta cucumber sandwich that was served. I loved the tea room, I am sure it will get busy over the holidays. I will be back for sure!!

Truly a one of a kind experience! This is a hidden gem tucked away in Park Ridge, IL. My family and I were looking for a special experience to celebrate before we welcome a new baby. We had trouble finding high tea in the suburbs, and happened to come across TeaLula. I don't know how we were just finding out about it! Afternoon tea is booked by reservation only, and there is an adjacent room for people walking in for tea. Parking can be a bit limited out front, but we were lucky enough to find a spot around the block. Every staff member we interacted with here was extremely kind. We were seated right away at a table reserved with our name. The aesthetic was on point with cute napkins, and Easter eggs for the holiday weekend. Our waitress was very attentive and constantly checking in on us. They were able to accommodate our dietary restriction of no ham. The tea was bottomless which is really nice to try a variety of flavors. My favorite was Tea Royale. The rest of my family loved South Beach Peach. Madagascar Fine Bourbon was too sweet for my palette. It was really nice to be able to try as many as we wanted. The 3 tier serving piece was super cute and had the perfect amount of portions for 4 people. We started with the tea sandwiches and my favorite one had tzatziki. The next tier had little scones. They were tasty dipped in the jam, lemon curd, and clotted cream. Our favorite bite was on the top tier! The mini apple crisp was out of this world! This was a super special tea celebrating family. It was also cool that the owner (I think) stopped by and checked in with us. We learned a bit about the history of TeaLula. I definitely recommend booking a high tea experience here!

Razzamataz iced, wellness warm, and sugar and spice warm to go

It is very aesthetic when you get inside, and it is very large. The staff is very friendly. This is my first time there, so I inquired about what kind of drinks I should try as a newcomer, I was recommended the sugar and spice and my mom got the wellness iced and I also selected the razzmatazz, of the three- the sugar and spice was probably my favorite, it also had this pink color which was super cute and it was sprinkled with cinnamon on the top. Overall, great staff and interior of the store and the sit down area is very large and roomy. With that said - I felt there was a lot of room to grow in the tea quality. The razzmatazz tastes kind of medicinal, or capri sun esque, it is hard to describe. The wellness tea was for us a bit watery, I think I was expecting something a little bit darker. And the sugar and spice was also really watery. **edited to say that as you reach the end of the drink both hot drinks got darker** I'm sure the sit down portion is a lot better because that is what the place is known for, but in terms of the carry out it was underwhelming. However, it is hard to find great customer care these days and the ladies who work there are incredibly warm welcoming and friendly. I would recommend to try it out, but maybe just stick to the teas they stock on the shelves or sitting down in the restaurant area. **edited to note that if we got a smaller size I think the drinks would have tasted better so we might ask for that next time

TeaLula, Nice Tea Meet you! TeaLula, a tea shop in downtown Park Ridge, has been brewing quali-teas for 15 years but recently renovated to start offering afternoon tea. We made reservations (mandatory) for afternoon tea (Wednesday- Sunday only). The tea shop offers products, drinks to go (see their Great Wall of Tea) and more. Step through the shop and enter the charming and bright dining space with marble topped tables set with blue china. Afternoon tea includes finger sandwiches, fresh scones with clotted cream and house made curds and jam, and a selection of sweets. There is a curated list of teas to complement the menu as well as alcoholic drinks. Our par-tea chose Tea Royale (white tea champagne and raspberry notes), Lilly Rose (white tea with roses and lemongrass) and Madagascar Fine Bourbon. We received individual pots and our server let us know we could also try other teas. The chef sent out a delicious amuse bouchée of hummus and red pepper. Then they brought out a silver three-tier server and we got to mul-tea-tasking. Tea sandwiches included: lobster and truffle mayo on tiny profiteroles, curry chicken, English cucumber sandwiches with tzatziki and feta, and strawberries and cream sandwiches with candied basil. Delightful! The second tier included Foxmont Country House Irish Scones and orange and chocolate scones. These were smaller and harder than I prefer. We would have enjoyed a softer scone so they could be better enjoyed with the clotted cream and jam. The top tier had a lovely assortment of fresh fruit (grown by the chef), French macaron with bright blueberry filling, two bite key lime tarts and little domed cheesecakes. The fruit was like little jewels, fresh and sweet. Our favorite was the key lime tarts. The service was friendly and non-intrusive. Portions were small, yet well curated and high qualitea. The ambience was charming and refined. This was a lovely setting for our mini-celebration and our guest had a very nice time. Afternoon tea is best saved for a special occasion but I am intrigued by the drinks that I could order for another visit. I'll be back before oolong. I'll chai again.

We just enjoyed a birthday tea for my daughter at TeaLula. I can't say enough great things about it. The atmosphere was beautiful, quaint and warm. The items on the tier were amazing, presented beautifully, and the tea was so good. Victoria, our waitress was so kind, and made this a wonderful day and experience. The owner, Shelia went above and beyond to be sure my daughter felt special. Thank you for a special day. We will be back!

What a cute little tea shop! I've seen this shop but never had a free moment to stop in while in town. Upon walking in, it feels homey and cute. An assortment of teas on the walls as well as tea cups and pots for purchase. Customer service is on par and they answered any questions I had about their iced tea. I went with the Guava iced tea. It's light, refreshing, and sweetened just perfectly. Afternoon tea is available Thursday through Sunday from 12-2pm for $55. I definitely will be back for that! Their May menu for afternoon tea looks delicious.

The tea selection at this local gem is incredible. Tealula is a local favorite that everyone hits frequently. There are so many options and you can buy ready to drink tea variations or leaves and pots and gear to make your own at home. They recently began full afternoon tea service with a full meal. Additionally they have scones available too. I personally love the razzmatazz with lavender syrup.

I called ahead to know if high tea could be an option and I got an informative answer of how much it cost and how they need 3 days advanced notice for it. I was also told that tea can be ordered and enjoyed in their tea room. When we had gone, we'd been greeted and given details about teas we'd shortlisted. They had 2 scone options. We picked chocolate chip. The lobby had such a variety of unique teas to select from. The bathroom was clean with character. The tea room was nice with plenty of seating available indoors and outdoors. We got served on tea from individual teapots and served the cutest tea cup and saucer and scones on the tray brought out. That place is a great place to catchup with a friend and I'd highly recommend coming here again!
