Really cute café with all the cozy fall vibes! I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was actually pretty crowded, so just something to keep in mind if you go on the weekend. I tried the "IT" drink (strawberry lemonade with strawberry popping boba) and "Cuddle Weather" (hot chocolate with hazelnut + caramel) both were fun and perfect for the fall theme. The Pesto Panini and Avocado Toast were solid too, nicely made and fresh. The staff was super nice and helpful even with how busy it was, and everything in there is decorated so cute definitely a great spot if you're into fall-themed drinks and cozy cafés.
This is he first time I've been to a coffee shop and the actual coffee used for the drinks ruined the coffee for me. First off, it's a really cute spot - the decor is eclectic, and the seating is ample. The baristas are friendly and welcoming. I visited based on their offering of coffee flights, and I liked that they change their flights based on the season. I ordered the Valentine's Flight for I believe around $17 - to me, it was not worth that. The coffee used was very watery; it reminded me of what hotels offer for free within the rooms. The flavors of each drink was nice and unique, but it still didn't mask the watery coffee. I wish the coffeehouse well, but this was the most disappointing coffee flight I've ever had.
Very cute coffee shop owned by two lovely women who are LGBTQIA accepting ! This cute coffee shop is a fun October themed cafe with great drink options. I got a traditional iced coffee and loved it! My only small note is some of the chairs are not very comfy, but there is a good amount of seating! Parking is street parking and this is also right by the Metra stop so it's very easy to walk to.
What a beautiful coffee shop! Fall vibes all year round which I am here for. Plenty of seating, fast wifi, and great music. The coffee itself was fantastic. The October Cafe PSL is vegan! Plenty of vegan treats such as donuts and cinnamon rolls.
Everything about this place is absolutely LOVELY!! The people are so friendly. The food is incredible and the coffee creations are so good!
A fall themed cafe in Norwood park. There's pumpkins and Halloween ish decor everywhere. I appreciate the variety of syrups they offer. They had more sugar free syrups than the usual vanilla or hazelnut that you find in cafes. I had the iced matcha latte with sugar free mango syrup and an oat cold foam. The pricing on the receipt does not make sense and honestly I'm not sure I was charged correctly. The drink was rather expensive after adding the syrup and oat foam. The foam is not worth it at all. It just melted into the rest of the drink so it didnt feel like anything different. The sugar free mango syrup was tasty and made the drink a nice summery treat. Don't waste your money on the oat milk foam!
Yummy, cute, & welcoming. Doesn't get any better. Great service, I enjoyed my beverage & the calming ambiance here. Looks like they have tons of cool events, and I love how they bring in local artists to share their work. So glad I got to check this spot out.

This is such a cute cafe!! Exactly what you'd expect with the decor based on the name, it's so dreamy in here. I got the avocado Toast and a mango smoothie and it was very reasonably priced. It wasn't out of this world but it was exactly what I wanted!
This cafe is Latinx, LGBTQ owned and the atmosphere from employees and other customers feels very accepting. Every customer is greeted at the door with a genuinely enthusiastic "Hello Pumpkin!" The menu is on the wall but also a print menus are available. We came on a Sunday midday and the place was bustling but we had no trouble getting a table and ordering at the counter. When we picked out some sweets from the counter, the employee offered to heat them for us and set them on plates with a little side of fruit. I almost never have sweet drinks, preferring my coffee black. But decided to try the St. Patrick's day sampler as a splurge. When the drinks came, they rang a bell to celebrate the order and brought it on a platter decked out with shamrocks and gold. The green tea and lemonade was refreshing. The lattes could come with any percentage fat of cow milk, or plant milk: almond, coconut, or oat milk. I ordered it with oat. The whipped topping is non dairy and optional. I loved the pistachio latte and the caramel one. The hot chocolate had mint in it and was satisfyingly creamy. The vegan GF brownie and the vegan GF blueberry cookie were amazing. The brownie is the soft gooey not cakey kind. The bagel tasted soft and fresh. I suspect the vegan egg is what I've had as a frozen pea-protein egg - quite good. Overall, everything about this place is outstanding. Seating is simple which befits a cafe. There are slots of decorations for the fall theme but also decked out for St. Patrick's day. Can't believe it took us this long to go - we'll definitely be back.
You know that feeling where you walk into a place and it feels like family? That's October Cafe. It's such a feel good space. The flights are my favorite. So creative, beautiful and fun. The perfect coffee date spot. The recent Christmas ones were delicious!!!! I'm obsessed with the chocolate chip mocha. The owners are the sweetest people, and I think that little touch of being called pumpkin and then announcing a flight has been ordered with bells ringing is just so precious. Can you tell how much I love October cafe yet? I'll be back! Can't wait for their newest flight creation!
Not only does October Cafe have the best patty melt I've ever eaten (it's vegetarian, and I'm not even vegetarian, so that's syaing something!), they are the KINDEST people who truly went out of their way to make our day special. They conspired with me to help make "the luckiest day ever" for my girlfriend before I proposed to her, by pretending that someone "paid it forward" to cover our food, and they even comp'd us free popcorn on top of it. The food is delicious, the latte was amazing, the location is picturesque. (Also, oh my God, the TATER TOTS. Don't skip the tater tots. They're so perfectly crunchy.) I couldn't be more grateful and we can't wait to come back again and again. THANK YOU!

Perfect for an impromptu mother daughter afternoon date. Enjoyed the "cozy sweater" with a shot of espresso and pumpkin toast. She was so happy they had the Defloured gf df whoopie pie. Found a nice spot to enjoy our treats and play some cards. Always a pleasure coming here read more

Tried out this cafe with my sister, and it was pretty good! It felt very cozy and comforting, and it truly felt like October even though we're in August and it's humid outside lol. I got the chaga matcha, which took me by surprise because I'm not much of a matcha drinker, but I really enjoyed it. My sister went for the PSL, and she was very much a fan. We shared a patty melt with plant-based meat and tater tots as our side, and both of us were satisfied. I'll definitely be coming back once it gets a little chilly out! Such an awesome spot! I was lucky to visit during October and it definitely captured the fall spirit. The staff who took our order was friendly and patient, encouraging us to take our time while deciding between all the fun Halloween themed menu items. They also offer a great selection of pastries. I ordered the Terrifier, a red velvet and vanilla latte . It was delicious and the red velvet flavor was the perfect touch. They also have a Fright Flight, which lets you sample all their specialty drinks. The decor really sets this place apart with plenty of cozy seating to hang out and enjoy your coffee. read more

A friend recommended this coffee shop, which is close to my house. It's absolutely darling! I've tried a number of drinks, both the fall ones and others, and they're all delicious. The shop is so cozy and cute, and it's a great place to hang out for a while, either to catch up with a friend or read a book. The staff are all so sweet, too. I will definitely be back many more times! read more
After hearing so much about this cafe, I decided to pay it a visit. But I really wish I didn't. We ordered the Fall Specialty Drink Flight (it's called We Fell in Love with October), and each drink on the flight was so so awful. The flavors were weak, everything tasted watered down, artificial, and just disgusting. The Chai Tea Latte, for instance, tasted like straight up marshmallow water. There's a different of not liking something based off of personal preference and not liking something based off of the fact that it's bad. October Cafe is just bad. I have to give it to them, though, they really bait you with how pretty the presentation is. read more

Super cute cafe in Norwood Park. There is outdoor and indoor seating available. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. They do have a fall flight that includes two coffee drinks, a hot chocolate and a chai. They are 4oz and can be vegan if you order it with a milk alternative. Personally I thought it was so fun to try. The cuddle weather is delicious and caramely. The maple forest has a strong maple flavor which was exactly what I wanted. The PSL I was a bit disappointed with because I felt like it was a sweet latte but was missing a prominent flavor and really any fall flavor which is what I want in a psl. The vp chai was alright but a bit watery for my preference. Overall the flight was a good choice because I was able to taste more drinks and have some I was super happy with. They are also open later so it is a great place to go if you are working or studying later in the day! read more

Such a cute cafe but DEFINITELY needs some quality improvements. We got the flight and it tasted so water down. I ordered it iced, but some of the coffee was lukewarm and it tasted very off. There was also no mention of the nondairy whipped cream being coconut-based and the person I was with had an allergy. We could only finish two of the four coffees. I also got cookies and they were allegedly just taken out the oven but when I bit into it, I almost broke my tooth. The menu definitely needs an overhaul and a lot of improvements on the quality of the coffees being made. A cafe should not have ramen on the menu stick to the items that cafes are meant to have! read more

I really really want to give October Cafe 5 stars. The environment and presentation is everything you'd want in a neighborhood cafe but... I've purchased 2 drinks from October Cafe and both have tasted like nothing. A few weeks ago I got a pumpkin latte and I think they forgot to put the flavoring in today I got a pumpkin tea and it was pretty much hot water. I'm at a loss. So why 4 stars? Because my daughters got other drinks (ChiTea Latte and a seasonal latte) and both her just right in flavor. Not too sweet and tasted natural. I'll take my chances and try once more. read more

I traveled from Schaumburg to try out October Cafe last weekend and was pretty disappointed for the hype surrounding this place on social media. When you walk in, the place is very aesthetic and comfy inside. It's pretty small, but there are a few tables, a window ledge with some pillows to sit on, and then towards the back of the cafe is the ordering counter. Everything is decorated with pumpkins and feels fall festive, and they welcome you with "Hi Pumpkin!" My husband and I came on a Saturday, and the place was pretty busy. Initially, I wanted to try their iced coffee flight because that seems to be trending, but I decided I wanted to just try a coffee and leave with it. I ordered a "large" iced pumpkin spiced latte and my husband ordered a "large" lemonade and then the owner persuaded him with a new Halloween drink called Hocus Pocus that was lemonade with strawberry flavor, whipped cream on top, and sprinkles. For these two "large" drinks, it was about $15, which is pretty standard nowadays for 2 large drinks... however, when we got our drinks, we thought they were wrong because they were such small cups with not much in them. I didn't see sizes on the menu, but looking at the bottom of my cup, I guess a large drink is only 16 oz here.... for like $7. I wouldn't have minded the price either if my drink was delicious, but when I actually tried my drink, it didn't taste like pumpkin spice at all, and it had a bitter taste. It wasn't disgusting, but it wasn't something I'd ever crave again. It was definitely nothing special. I don't know if it's the fact it's made with real pumpkin, but I wasn't a big fan. Both drinks also came with too much whipped cream that took up a lot of the cup space since they didn't have the raised whipped cream lids for cups. Basically, a large drink ended up being like 14 oz of bad tasting, bitter coffee with 2 inches of whipped cream. Later that weekend, my friends went here for the first time to get the flight, and HATED it. They mentioned it tasted like if they were drinking dirty water, and I could understand what they meant by when I tried mine the day before. My other friend just tried the flight yesterday and said the same exact thing and that she hated it. All 3 of my friends paid $10 for flights they didn't finish, and the cups only have 4 oz of coffee in them each, and they didn't even want to finish that much. Overall, I am truly rooting for this place to get better. The idea is so cute, and the owners are so sweet, but because it's so new, I think there is definitely room for improvement. I will come back here sooner or later, just not for a while. I think it's just a bit overrated right now for the quality and quantity. read more

Any place with a good coffee flight is a place to visit. Add to that the fabulous selection of homemade pastries. A whole case of the tastiest vegan options. The staff is crazy welcoming and maybe a little pumpkin crazy, but such fun. It's small and cozy and inviting plus outdoor seating and a fabulous window seat. read more

October cafe is a year round speciality cafe. They have plenty of plant based items and gluten free too. So exciting that there's a place you can get pumpkin lattes year round! I tried the iced matcha, tamales and vegan panini. The panini was my favorite! I went on a weekend and it was pretty packed but the service was moving. They do not have a lot of seating and when it's packed the space does feel small. I went with my mom and she uses a walker and it was pretty difficult to navigate in and out of the cafe. read more

Thrilled isn't the word. Norwood Park desperately needed an indie coffee house. In a sea of Starbucks and Dunkin', I would find myself driving outside the neighborhood to find a coffeehouse home. Now, I have found it. I work from home and this is a lovely third place to caffeinate and indulge. I have been gluten-free for over fifteen years, and used to travel to Andersonville to the bakery defloured. Now, I can walk to October and treat myself. I love that they cater to special diets here. It's incredible to have options. Defloured bakery treats will even impress those who do not have dietary restrictions, like my husband. From one small business one to another, you all have created something special here. Your coffee is amazing and I will be here early and often. read more
