I am so excited we have a decent milk tea/boba place in Gilroy!! We moved to Gilroy about two years ago from San Jose and really miss having a nice boba place to go. TeaLeaf definitely hit the spot for my cravings. We got the taro shake with some basil popcorn chicken and both were very yummy. Restaurant is very clean and the decor is modern and inviting. The product is good but the service is the complete opposite. The girl taking my order seemed like she was stoned, so I asked her to repeat my order to me. The drinks here are no good and the employees attitudes are the worst. I even tipped them but I just can't stand the employees attitudes here. We came in and ordered two drinks. I believe I tipped them good. Two drinks plus tips almost $20. However, when we were sitting there and waiting for our drinks. The short guy I believe he is the owners or owners relative screaming our names for several times while I was in the middle of something and already knowledge them. In stead of just walking a couple steps and hand the drinks to us, no, he decided to tell his employees and himself to tell my name several times even though he knows I was sitting there. I feel it's kinda rude because I told said yes and told them to wait a little bit. Besides, this place doesn't offer internet. Walked in to employee and customer not wearing their masks, unprofessional, slow service, not very friendly staff, pricey, and messed up on my drink. Yesterday I decided to take my little sister out for some tea and since this place recently opened up again I figured I'd bring her here, this place usually has some good boba tea flavors so I was excited to show her this place. For starters we walked in to a man in front of us in line not wearing his mask, and the woman who attended us at the registers (I presume she's the owner) was also not wearing her mask. Keep in mind that the register area and kitchen are literally in the same space, so this did make me a little uncomfortable. Once it was our turn in line, the woman at the register didn't acknowledge us right away and when she did she didn't really give us a friendly greeting, she was just talking to herself about her mask. After a while of her looking for it (didn't seem like she was in much of a rush to find it and also didn't make an effort to at least look like she was trying to protect herself), she finally attended us. We ordered our drinks and waited outside for about 10 minutes despite it not having been busy at all when we got there. I will mention that if you order your drinks in person here the wait is significantly longer than the wait at other places, so try and order ahead of time online. When we went to check and see if our order was finished, one of the guys working asked us if we were there to pick up our drinks, I was explaining that we came inside a while ago to put our order and as I was gonna give him my name for the drinks he cut me off and just asked if I had ordered so and so. I found the way he cut me off rude, but whatever. After answering yes he said our drinks weren't finished yet, so my sister and I waited a little longer. When we received our drinks they weren't labeled at all and to top it off my drink was made incorrectly with no toppings, despite me having asked for it with everything and even added an additional topping. The owner and employee who made our drinks had a little discussion on why my drink was made incorrectly, and afterwards went ahead and corrected it. I will say that they fixed the problem fairly quick so I do appreciate that. Overall the tea was okay but you can go anywhere else in town and have a quicker, more professional and friendly experience. The tea is also expensive for what you get and not worth it in my opinion as there's nothing that really sets it apart from other places (I paid $12 for 2 drinks, the only additional topping I added was boba to my drink which they messed up). I don't mind paying more but the quality and presentation has to be there in order for me to deem it as reasonable, their drinks contained no labels describing what they contained at all and the service they provided yesterday is not service worthy of the price they're charging. I've noticed that other reviewers here on Yelp have been mentioning similar things, so hopefully they can take the criticism and make the changes they need. read more

I think 50% sugar would have been a little nicer, but I think this was a perfect amount for me! My friends ordered their roasted oolong milk tea which they think it was a little too bitter and the mangonada which was a slushy type. Not the best boba I've ever had, and truthfully I'd make the trip to Morgan Hill to get a boba if ever craving one again. The honey boba had a funny taste to it and was hard. Forgot to take a picture! But my friend and I went here for their soft opening and received a lightbulb drink container. Too cute! The garlic fries were light, crispy, and on point. Popcorn chicken was perfectly seasoned and the Boba drink to wash it down wasn't crazy sweet like some other Boba places. Needless to say I've been there about 3 times already in the last two weeks.
