Chicken noodle and a meatball sub
Tony A.

If your mom made you lunch! That's what this place is like. Everything is made on site! The BLT this week is absolutely delicious. Garden ripe tomatoes and the house made chicken soup is something like my grandmother made. Literally my favorite restaurant in Morgan Hill

Lemon cheesecake, banana chocolate cookies, double chocolate cookies, expresso and m&m's cookies
Tammy X.

Went in today with my son for some cookies! We picked a few different things, not a fan of the m&m's and the expresso one. Seem dry and normal. Not overly sweet tho. We did however go pretty late so they probably had them out for a few hours. The mix of chocolate chip cookies and the banana white chocolate was still good! We had them probably 4-6 hrs after baked since we went after school about 3pm, but still good. Warm it for 15 sec in the microwave if you want it moist. For $1.50 it's decent pricing. I'm looking forward to trying different things, pricing is fair so we can try different items without paying an arm and a leg. Had the lemon cheesecake too. Not so sweet with a lemon tart cream on top. It's good and a full sliced is a good amount to fill you up. I'm looking forward to trying different things. They have different varieties baked for the day.

I wasn't sure what else was around in the bakery department, so my husband drove me down town to see what we could find. I spotted GVA and ran in right before closing as a last-resort, hoping they had something I could bring as a dessert to a friend's house. I caught the cashier while trying to get a quick bite, but she hurried to help (even with her mouth full, which I appreciated, being in a rush myself). She was very friendly and I got the chocolate chip cookies and biscottis I was hoping to find. The cookies were impressively big (my daughter told me they were as big as her head). We cut each cookie into 6 pieces so everyone could try the different types: chocolate chip, chocolate chocolate, and oatmeal, and then almond and chocolate biscottis. Everyone was happy with the cookie assortment! Thank you for being open when no one else was GVA! You saved the day~

Coming from Westminster in the OC then moving to San Jose, those two areas I was always around viet food so coming to this place I tried to give it some leeway since I know since moving to Morgan hill there is not many places to gather Vietnamese ingredients to cook at home The banh mi itself needs work. The baguette came out pretty dry. For their selection, it seems like they try to add multiple variations of banh mi meats into one rather than the way other banh mi places do specific meats per each sandwich. (Thịt nướng , chả lụa, heo quay) The pate and mayonnaise were lacking. The đồ chua or picked daikon and carrots were kind of lackluster. That being said it seems like one of the few places to get banh mi in Morgan hill, I do feel that they should not be charging such premium price for their sandwiches. If it was cheaper then I wouldn't be so harsh as "you get what you pay for". Not the case here

This viet coffee is legit, as in it's super strong, not too sweet (which I like) and just overall STRONG. I was surprised at how strong it was, I couldn't even bear to think how crazy the Jonty coffee is with double caffeine. If you are into some real, phin viet coffee, they got it here!

You're always asked if you have any questions before you order which is super nice if you aren't sure what you're going to order. I tried the cardamom fig cappuccino (winter special), hot mocha and ice almond milk latte. The cappuccino was so delicious, though I didn't taste the fig as much as the cardamom it was still a super well balanced cappuccino. The mocha wasn't to sweet, which I enjoy because the espresso still comes through and you can taste the rich chocolate. Lastly, the almond milk latte was really smooth, you can tell they use great quality almond milk. Food wise I got the buttered croissant and two different cookies from Bake That Dough (which they sell inside to the left of the register when you walk in). The buttered croissant was incredibly flaky and buttery. It paired so well with my cappuccino and I look forward to my next. The cookies were so cute and perfectly paired with the coffee drinks as well. Overall great experience, I am excited to try their other baked goodies and fun beverages.

There is NO drive through. It is an old gas station converted into a coffee shop. The parking is scant and right next to the building but plentiful just across the side street for the train and bus stations. What this place does have is CHARACTER and a laid back vibe I don't seem to find in chain coffee shops. The service is top notch, the prices reasonable, and the coffee is excellent. You are called to the counter when your order is ready. There are some nice looking pastries available (I haven't tried any yet). There is a retro record player and some vinyl records, but there has never been any music playing there when I am there. It is across the street from a train station and near the downtown shops.

My favorite sandwich is the buratta - roasted cherry tomatoes, basil, pesto, and balsamic vinegar on a ciabatta roll. (I always split it with my dog.)
