- delicious!!! best coffee in the santa cruz area - pretty quick service - lots of indoor and outdoor seating - cute vibe inside, love the decor !

Green Bee (Oat Milk)

Before my work event in Santa Cruz, I needed a caffeine pick-me-up! My coworker who went to college here recommended giving 11th Hour Coffee a try. Glad I took up her suggestion, cause it was a watering hole. The space is gorgeous! I love how airy and bright it is inside. It's such a calming place to work or catch up with others. I'd come to do so. They also have outdoor seating. I found the service to be okay, a bit passive, but oh well, I had minimal interactions. I ordered ahead and got the Iced Green Bee but substituted Oat Milk. My drink was ready when I got there. It was sweet and floral, thanks to the lavender. I enjoyed it and sipped it up! I am quite curious about their other drinks and foods. There is a nice variety of cafes in Santa Cruz. 11th Hour Coffee seems popular. Their downtown location is easy to find with metered parking out front.

Came for an espresso. It was smooth and not too strong. Took longer than expected but it was a Saturday afternoon. Nice outdoor seating area.

Classic Santa Cruz coffee shop - the missus and I stopped by last weekend. We parked a block away and stood in a fast-moving queue to order drinks and an Earl Gray cookie to share, then sat on the side patio outdoors. The order took a few minutes. My hot matcha was good, and she seemed to like her iced maple syrup latte, then confessed that she could not taste any maple flavor! The cookie was tasty and crunchy but didn't taste like Earl Gray either!! Service was prompt, and bathrooms were adequate. Bill was over $20 before tip. Happy to check out other locations next time we're in Santa Cruz.

The lattes were 5/5. Tiramisu Latte (iced): was exceptionally delicious and not overly sweetened. Maple latte (hot): the spices, the salt, and not overly sweetened made this hot drink so enjoyable to sip through. Breakfast burrito and pumpkin chia pudding were amazing. Husband and I also noticed other food coming out looked amazing, so definitely take note they have a great food menu alongside phenomenal lattes! We cannot wait to be back next time we are in Santa Cruz! Service was super helpful and accommodating. Everyone seems super friendly and eager to be there, which contributes to a nice atmosphere! The atmosphere was covered in plants with ample ample AMPLE seating throughout, both inside and out. No one feels rushed to grab a table and no one is sitting on top of each other. Tons of lighting with skylights and the entire cafe feels huge. Highly recommend for your morning cup o' Joe when you're in Santa Cruz! And if you're a local? I'm certain you're already a regular!

11th Hour Coffee might have just given me the best brunch I've had in a while. The space is beautiful, calm, plant-filled, bright, and almost healing. It feels like somewhere you could sit for hours without being rushed. Surprisingly, there's also a full bar, which I didn't expect from the outside. We ordered two specialty lattes, two bowls, and a loaded avo toast and the total was right around $100 for two people, so this is definitely not a casual quick bite price-wise. That said, the food was incredible. The potato bowl was cheesy, rich, and perfectly cooked. The potatoes had that ideal texture: crispy edges, soft centers. But the star of the table was the loaded avocado toast. Genuinely the best I've ever had. The bread was thick and substantial, the avocado was generous, and the toppings were layered in a way that made every bite balanced but bold. It felt like someone actually thought about how it should taste instead of just piling things on for aesthetics. The lattes were the only slight miss for me. The mocha mushroom had a much stronger turmeric and mushroom flavor than I expected. Not bad, just not what I was prepared for. Alternatively, the maple oat milk latte was smooth but didn't have the maple-forward sweetness I anticipated. Both were fine, just not as memorable as the food. Staff were kind and the food came out quickly, which I appreciated. Overall, I would absolutely come back, with the knowledge it's a bit of a splurge. For the quality of the brunch itself though, it feels worth it!

A very popular place for locals to do work at with beautifully designed coffee bags, clothing, mugs and flowers to buy. The seating is extensive and high quality with very comfy chairs. We tried a matcha latte and it was decent. Perhaps the coffee will be better here.

Super cute coffee spot with seating inside and outside, I had the tiramisu latte and it was so good! Service was fast and friendly! Cant wait to try the other coffees!

Slice of Gluten free cardamom cake

I ordered the mushroom mocha, but unfortunately it tasted like watered-down chocolate milk. I asked to add a shot of espresso and was given a look like I was asking for too much and was told I'd need to get back in line to pay for it although there were 2 registers opened, which felt a bit inconvenient. On the bright side, the gluten-free cardamom cake was really good and definitely the highlight of my visit. Coffee: 3/5 Cake: 5/5 Customer Service: 3/5

Cozy and welcoming spot! 11th Hour Coffee has such a comfortable, inviting vibe. I had the maple oat milk latte, which was smooth and comforting, and the rose cardamom cake--perfectly sweet with a delicate rose flavor. It was unique and absolutely delicious. Definitely worth trying if you're looking for something a little different in a cozy setting

Salted caramel lattes

Stopped by this coffee shop because I was in the area and found it on Yelp. The space is huge! It shares the space with a bar and a few other food businesses. There were lots of people hanging out, studying, and enjoying the vibe, and it felt like a great place to relax or get some work done. I ordered the salted caramel latte and it was absolutely delicious. Smooth, perfectly sweet, and super comforting on a cold day. I'd definitely recommend this spot if you're nearby -- I'm glad I stumbled on it!

Avocado Toast w/ side of smoked salmon

While I still think it's a little expensive to come here everyday, I finally tried their pastries and thought they were delicious. I got their cranberry rosemary blondie which was buttery and the orange/cranberry flavor really came through. I was skeptical of the rosemary in a baked good but it actually worked really well. I love how they are always something new and interesting and how they taste even better than they look. I will say that I feel like the avocado toast got a little bit smaller while remaining the same price, but it still tasted really good and the smoked salmon on the side tasted great as well.

The location is unique, set behind a church, which gives it a quieter, slightly off-the-beaten-path feel. It's a great stop if you're walking from nearby hotels or just exploring the area. The space itself is cozy with a relaxed, peaceful vibe. There's indoor seating, and on a nice day the patio is a great option. It's not a huge shop, but there's enough seating to sit and enjoy your drink. Drinks were really well done, my favorite was Our Frother. Everything tasted balanced and thoughtfully made. The atmosphere feels calm and welcoming, perfect for a slow morning coffee. Overall, a charming little spot with great coffee and a unique setting. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Santa Cruz.

I was looking for something heavier than a pastry and found out they had breakfast sandwiches and their own bagels! Score!! To my surprise, they also had specialty drinks so I had to get the Blondie latte with a plant-based milk. I asked the lady if it was sweet and she said it came with a tablespoon of brown sugar. But they could switch it and make it a teaspoon instead. Perfect! As I got my latte it was amazing!! The espresso used in the latte was actually a mild roast coffee so I really liked the flavor of it roast and it was Organic!! Win-win!! Since I'm trying to avoid dairy at the moment, I asked if I could get the lox bagel sandwich without cream cheese and replace it with avocado. The lady at the register asked another barista behind her and she said it was fine! Perfect!! You also get to pick out what type of bagel you want, so I wanted to try something different and got the sun-dried tomato and basil or something like that! The sweet flavors of the herbs in the bagel and then the juiciness of the tomato baked into the bread once simply wonderfully with my breakfast sandwich!! There's a cute little waiting area inside with at least 10 tables or seats along the breakfast bar counter and a couple of tables. There's also a very large outdoor seating area, but I was cold so I wanted to sit inside to warm up my body since I was going to go to yoga on the beach. I had only planned on eating half the bagel sandwich but honestly, it was so good when it came out. I sat there for a good 20 minutes until I ate the whole thing!! Lol so funny!! I was so stuffed I had to walk an extra mile before I could start my yoga on the beach! As I sat enjoying my breakfast sandwich, I got to overhear the two barista's talk about music!! One of the baristas allowed her device to search new genres of music while the other barista specifically looked up different genres of music she liked and then would tell her device to find music of that era. So interesting to hear their discussion!! I honestly loved everything about this quaint little coffee shop, and I will definitely be back again and again!!
