What everyone said about this place is true. It is the place to grab coffee and light breakfast. There's tons of parking, even with church services occurring. This place is huge and it needs to be since the lines often go outside the door. I love all the natural light and the tall ceilings. We tried a breakfast sandwich an a muffin. I tried the flight. The staff member we had was super nice and fun to chat with. This place had good vibes written all over it. There's also tons of seating and they even have a loft. We sat for a bit because I had that flight to finish, which I enjoyed. It's a great place to start your mornings off slow. That's the goal isn't it?

I love going to this cute and beautiful coffee shop since I used to take classes at Cabrillo. Their pastries, coffee, food and service are amazing. This is one of the most beautiful coffee shops in Santa Cruz county. Recently I stoped by to meet a friend and had their matcha for the first time. It's delicious I highly recommend it.

Delicious coffee, unbelievably delicious sourdough bagel, and friendly staff! Got the Santa Cruz Fog, hot 7/10 Sourdough bagel with plain cream cheese? 100/10 That was a life changing experience, will be back for jalapeño cream cheese. Fun place to study and banging music.

The moment you step through the door, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. There's plenty of comfortable seating, and the service is incredibly kind and attentive. Our cappuccino and Americano were excellent, and the pastries were absolutely to die for.

Located at Cabrillo College across from the recital halls where many concerts are held. Truly a beautiful coffee shop. There's a good amount of couches and tables, with plenty of outlets. There's an upstairs area you can sit too that overlooks the entire shop. Baristas are all amazing and super kind. I tried their cappuccino which tasted great. High recommend to order for here rather than to go, just doesn't taste quite the same. Definitely a great option to stop by fora drink if youre on campus or passing through!

Their breakfast sandwich really surprised me! It wasn't like those frozen fast food ones. This was the freshest biscuit sausage, egg & cheese sandwich I've ever had.

I love coming here when in Aptos! I think they have an awesome variety of food and snack options which entice me to come in to get an extra bite with my drink. The space itself is massive with tons of indoor and outdoor seating. I love all the natural light you get and of course, the seated loft upstairs. My drink was definitely on the very sweet side and I was tempted to have them remake it but was in a rush. However, that's an easy fix! The workers were super friendly. Lovely spot if you wanted to work remotely.

Really nice place, open atmosphere friendly staff beautiful landscaping outside. In summer they open the door so you can walk outside to the nice seating. They also have a loft where you can sit upstairs. Overall a wonderful coffee experience

Loft coffee is a newly opened space that caters to people who want a relaxing and semi-quiet vibe to work or study. With plentiful seating options both inside and outside, you should always be able to find a comfortable space for yourself. The menu offers your staple coffee shop items from espresso drinks to drip. Prices are really competitive compared to today's inflated rates. Service is really friendly and fast. The location itself borders Cabrillo community college as well as a nearby church. There are bike racks out front as well as a permanently affixed bike repair stand which is totally rad and appreciated by a cyclist such as myself! This was my early morning stop on my way to Forest of Nisene Marks State Park for some off road riding. I ordered a latte which was really well balanced between their espresso and the milk. The foam was tempered really nicely and had a glassy sheen to it. Well done! The person who handed me my drink was friendly and struck up a conversation when I picked up my cup. I'll definitely visit again during my next ride through the area. It's especially nice to know that there's that bike repair station there if ever I should need it!

We ordered a raspberry "pop tart" (filled pastry with frosting), plain croissant, and avocado toast. All were very good. Their fresh breakfast sandwiches "weren't available yet" (not sure what that meant) and the avocado toast did take a while to make. Service: Service was a little aloof but fine. Ambiance: Only a few indoor seats, two outdoor tables and kids toys though next to the road. Very modern and new interior. Would recommend trying, be prepared for a short line / wait.

They were in the middle of making sandwiches, which did look appetizing. Got in line at a perfect time because it quickly grew behind me. I always go with the basics... purchased a true French baguette, and a delicious looking chocolate chip cookie. Solid 4 stars for the French baguette. Great crispy crust, nice airy inside, not dense at all. Awesome for dipping in coffee. My only downside is the price. $6 for a French baguette... why? I'm waiting to see if it gives me any super powers. As for the chocolate chip cookie... perfect example of how looks can be deceiving. I know it's all preference, but it was just a basic cookie. No sea salt added for that something extra and no browned butter to be found. Just an ordinary, overly priced cookie. Sadly, does not win a spot for my top 5. Also, the gentleman at the counter was pretty frigid. Maybe a bad morning? Perhaps that's his personality. Who knows, but I wouldn't expect much at the counter as far as hospitality goes.

I don't get bagels locally because, well, just because. I happily ordered us coffee and bagels. Now, bear in mind, we roast our own coffee, so to us, the coffee was on the "good" side of Ok. The bagels, on the other hand, were delicious! And boy, do they pack on the cream cheese (maybe enough for 3 bagels depending on one's preference)! Service was friendly and fast. And all the people coming and going were very pleasant - there were plenty of them. The sitting area outside next to the road is pretty small (next to a dumpster, I think), and my guy was having some mobility challenges (on crutches, etc.). Folks in the neighboring table were so kind and accommodating, voluntarily standing up so that he could maneuver into a seat. We went back the following week (yes, another medical appt), and this time they were out of the bagels we wanted, so note to self... get there early if you want a favorite bagel. We will definitely be back to Firefly for the bagels! Have I said "bagels" enough times already?

(The meat pie and pastry we ordered were not warmed all the way, but the bagel was good) Then inside seating area was also sticky and slightly dirty looking. Our second visit was yesterday 6/20, and it sounds like we weren't the only unhappy customers based on other reviews. I'm not surprised to hear the lady in charge that morning rudely made customers leave because she "needed a reset". We asked about getting pizza around 10:45 am, which we acknowledged was early...but just asking to see what was possible. Instead of a real explanation, we got a snarky look at her watch and just an "um, noooo" with a bad attitude. If there was a real reason, like the dough wasn't ready or the oven wasn't on (it was, we could see the flames) I would understand. However, the lady was complaining to a coworker about an issue with the manager or something while we waited in line so there was already some unprofessional behavior beyond the lack of customer service. We left without getting anything at that point. We won't be back to Venus, The Pixie Deli down the street has good food and friendly service.
