WTF? Cheaper prices at Nob Hill. FYI. I asked the counter person for a ribeye. He asked, bone-in or boneless? The counter price said $25 per pound for bone-in. I didn't really care until I got home. Bone-in was $25 per pound. Boneless was $32 per pound. So, I had a custom cut of boneless ribeye at $32 per pound. See pic. Dude left on 3 ounces of fat on the cut. My best friend and neighbor for 25 years made me aware of Milo's Meat Shop and he just raved about it. So my expectations were pretty high when we stopped in the shop to pickup a couple of ribeye steaks to BBQ. It was even better then he had described. Every time I have purchased from Milo's I have never been disappointed. My wife and I go out to nice steakhouses up and down the peninsula, so we are really familiar with the better steakhouses. We are actually down to one in Palo Alto that we feel now the only place worth spending the money. Milo's consistently surpasses that steakhouse. In fact after purchasing steaks from Milo's it has ruin me on eating steaks out. Very seldom do I get a steak this delicious, tender and it seems to melt in your mouth. The nicest people ever! Hidden gem. Open 3 months now. The owner and his wife are there. I is as thrown off and did not see the digital prices on the screen. The owner wa busy, but the nicest guy helped me. I always go for seafood. $8.99/lb deveined and shelled shrimp. $7.99/lb shelled shrimp $20.99/lb large scallops $29.99/lb crab legs. Very large. They have other types of meat...pork and they also have seafood. They carry brave heat beef. You should see their tomahawks Much more than just a meat market/ Carniceria there are also drinks, chips, salsas, and other snack selections. In addition you can pick up a green salad too! I don't usually cook steaks cause, frankly they make me nervous. They're expensive and I get pretty worried and stressed about messing them up. So our friend gave me a steak lesson. I am sooo glad we have a meat market in town! I no longer have to travel all the way to Watsonville to get my choice cuts! I originally wanted to come in for rib eye, but my eye wandered and I literally bought everything that appealed to me: Rib eye, tomohawk steaks, short ribs, jalapeño cheddar sausage, deveined shrimp, and produce! I was also looking for oxtail, so I asked the gentleman behind the counter, and he said they just got a delivery for it, but didn't put it in the display yet. I asked him if I could get 5 lbs. worth, and he was on it! This meat market is family owned and operated. Great experience from start to finish! Awesome customer service as well. During this COVID pandemic, all employees were wearing masks and changed out gloves when necessary to decrease cross-contamination of products and items. They also wiped down the counter and credit card terminal after each customer. Thank you for that! I'll for surely refer them to those in town (and out of town)! read more

Stopped in after finding place in Yelp. I had no idea they had only been open a couple days. The place is clean & organized with flat panel TV menu. The prices and quality are good. I picked up about $100 of beef ribs to drop in the smoker. They let me pick the ones I wanted and brought out options besides what was in the case. They were super accommodating and the quality was awesome. I smoked them with mesquite & hickory with only salt and pepper rub for 6hrs at 290 degrees and they were pull-apart awesome. I don't know any other place with ribs like this and I will be back! One rib each and we were all full! They also have great looking thick steaks, seafood including large shrimp etc. I'll definitely be back to try more and got my eye on that tomahawk chop. My wife asked if they had beef bones for sale to make pho and they said they weren't in the system yet so they just gave us a bag free. Next time they'll be in the system and we will buy them.
