I highly recommend Dr. Don and Teagle Optometry. I recommend them to the highest as I drive all the way from the South Bay to Glendale just to get my eyes checked. Crazy I know but worth it, YES! Dr. Don does not mess around and I'm in and out in about 30 minutes. Dr. Don himself is Fantastic and his staff is friendly and they get down to business when it comes to getting new lenses or frames. My new prescriptions usually arrive in about one weeks time. They are open late for a "doctors office" so that makes it really convenient for people like me that do not work a 9-5 schedule and commute. They also are super patient when I try on a million different styles. Got a killer deal over a year ago on an awesome pair of Chanel frames and my Pradas that I got about 3 years ago and are still holding strong. I asked for copies of my prescription and was then asked rudely why I wasn't using my insurance to buy there? This happened with me and my children on three separate occasions. I finally found a new eye doctor! I was referred to this place by my girlfriend and her family. They also come here too. I love Dr Teagle! He is awesome! And so is his staff! My first time experience was a great one. They really go in depth and explain everything about your eyes and everything. They take their time on you and don't rush on you. I used to go to Linden Optometry, but my current insurance wouldn't cover them. So I found this gem of a place instead. The whole process was extremely easy. First I called in to make an appointment. They checked their times and gave me times and dates in which I could choose from. I agreed to one and they asked if there was a cell phone number they could put into the system. I said of course! They then proceeded to ask if I was willing to get a text reminding me of my appointment. I said yes. A week before my appointment, I got a text reminding me of it and it asked me to reply back by typing "yes" to confirm my appointment. Two days before the appointment, they sent a text to remind me and all was better. All the anxiety of not having an optometrist disappeared. Upon arriving at this establishment, I was greeted and was asked if I needed any help. This is where I met the lovely April Suppiphatvong. I told her that I was here for an eye exam. She checked me in and said to have a seat. I went ahead and checked out possible potential glasses I would be getting. Moments later, I was called in by another gentleman to run some tests including the dreaded eye puff test. After that, I was greeted by April again to run some other tests. When in her office, she was so personable. She made me feel like a long time friend. We went over the tests and what options were next including dilation or a photograph of my eye. I opted for the photograph since I haven't been here before. It was so they could have a baseline of what my eye is and could possibly change to in future exams. We went to the next room to get this done and came back to her office to review the photos. Everything looked great and I was done! Now onto choosing the next frames for my new glasses. I approached the front desk and asked if I could take a look at some options in front of the mirror and chose 4 frames. I went to the desk and looked at them in the mirror and chose the one I liked best. That was it! Went back to the counter to pay and was told that they would call me when they arrived. I have been a customer at Teagle Optometry since I moved to Glendale 5 years ago. The Doctors and Staff here are always helpful and attentive when I show up for my yearly exam and quarterly contact lens orders. A few weeks ago, my glasses frames broke and I needed a new pair ASAP. Called their office spoke to Raul and he detailed my options. 15 mins later I was at the office and Raul was helping me try on frames. I have been going to Teagle Optometry for years and frankly I cannot see myself going anywhere else for eye care. Their office is clean and they offer a wide variety of frames and sunglasses. If they do not have the item in stock, they offer to order them for you which I appreciate. All of the Optometrists there are patient and kind, even with children (I take my 8 year old). The staff there is friendly and helpful, even if want to hang around forever trying on a million glasses - it's almost like I am just visiting family. I definitely recommend coming here! I came in this office to get my son some eye glasses and spoke to Irma and she was VERY rude when I ask to speak to her boss she said " She was the boss" I then spoke to a "Ron/"... which was her boss?...he completely dismissed the way Irma was treating me by saying " that's her being her"! I've been visiting the Dr. Teagles for my eye exams for a long time and will keep visiting them for many, many more. Teagle Optometry is a family affair. Dr. Robert Teagle Sr. is the dad and his two sons, Robert Jr. and Don are also optometrists. On this visit, I saw Dr. Teagle Sr. who's in his 70's and still seeing patients. These guys know their stuff and always answered any questions I had. They also provide referrals for lasik surgery. They have a great staff of opticians and a huge selection of frames to choose from, which is my favorite part of the eye exam. Even though I live further away, I still make the drive to Glendale 'cause I don't think I'll find better optometrists than the Teagle family. read more

Since I'm four eyed, I've been coming here the last few years to get contacts. Dr. Don and Dr. Carol are very professional and thorough. They've adjusted my prescription accordingly especially after wearing a higher grade that a previous eye doctor prescribed but was bothering my sight. I'd give Teagle Optometry 4 stars, however, their support isn't very professional. My contacts were on backorder and they told me they'd call me when they came in and they expect 3-4 days. So, I waited a few days, receive no call and decided to drop by to see if they came in. It took 3 people and 15 minues to look for my contacts and no were in sight. Found out they didn't even place an order. They told me they'd call me when the order comes in. I wait a few days and no phone call. With the holdiays, it took me a week just to get in and see if they came in which they did. They took two weeks just to get me my full order. Minus one star for the lazy staff. A phone call would be the minumum for decent customer service. read more

I first started going to Teagle Optometry back in in the mid 1990s while in junior high school. My mom chose the place because of its convenience to our family home. My entire family has been serviced by them and I think my parents still go there. Unfortunately, I realized that there has been a gradual decline in customer service by this optometry. I only realized this after I had to change optometrists due to my new eye insurance and my great experiences with Dr. Miyamoto in Torrance. I think from the many visits to this place, I've been consulted by Dr. Donald Teagle only a handful of times. Typically I am consulted by his employees like Dr. Carol Kim or others. In fact, I think optometrists rotate through that office fairly quickly, and its not unusual to perhaps meet a new optometrist consulting you each year. Perhaps it's the sheer amount of patients that the office gets, but I feel like I don't get the customer service that Dr. Miyamoto provides. Whenever I go there, it feels like I'm getting an oil change. I'm in and out with not much feedback or human interaction. I read the letters on the wall, get the contacts I need, and then I'm out. There doesn't seem to be much relationship building, despite having going there for over 12 years. The front desk needs a lot of work too. They are usually super busy and most of the interaction seems to be curt and to some, like myself, at times feels unfriendly. There is an older gentleman that works there and sometimes I feel like he's just a grumpy old man wanting to get through the day. Maybe in the future, Dr. Teagle gets more staff or friendlier staff to service his front desk. Lastly, the prices for products are a little on the expensive side. My contacts were $25 a box and I know frame and and lenses are more expensive. At one point I wanted to get Oakley prescription frames and lenses and compared prices between Teagle Optometry and the Oakley store in the Galleria. Overall, it was cheaper to go through the Oakley store to get prescription frames and lenses. That was amazing because Oakley stores are usually more expensive and never have any discounts on their products. Teagle Optometry must be putting a lot of markup on their products. Go Trojans! Came in to get my lens replaced since I scratched them. Just walked in and was helped right away. The lens will be replaced for free because it is under warranty. Yay! Also, i was here earlier in May and they always help out by giving deals/discounts if they can. Love the doctors too. Everyone here is nice and helpful. Have never had an issue and if I need to wait for my frames I can shop around since they are located inside the mall. read more

We have been going to Dr. Don for almost 20 years. Dr. Don and his team are always very trusting, helpful and accommodating. They take their time during your appointment and you never feel rushed. They always do whatever is necessary to take care of any concerns. My husband, both parents, and both my girls also see Dr. Don for all of their vision needs including glasses, contacts, and sunglasses. This is a thank you note to Dr. Don and his helpful staff. After wearing glasses and contacts since I was 6, and being a regular patient at your place for many years, I had eye surgery this year. I got corrected monovision style--one eye for distance, one for near/reading. Dr. Don gave my ophthalmologist the "target" for correcting my reading eye. It was absolutely perfect. In the midst of the covid19 pandemic my glasses broke and my optometrist office is closed. Actually, about 25 offices I called had no answer and no recorded message, but Dr. Teagle answered and I explained that my earpiece fell off and I had gone through two packs of those tiny screws trying to fix my glasses, but I either lost them or couldn't get them to fit. It was super frustrating. I'm a teacher and I'm on distance learning and it's hard on my eyes being on the computer all day, plus I have a condition where I can't wear my contacts very long, so I was in a pretty bad pickle. So there I was trying to hold my glasses in place and work. Not pretty and not easy. Dr. Teagle answered the call and graciously said he'd meet me at the door to the Galleria, took my glasses, fixed them, and gave them back, all without ever having met me before! They help you pick out frames, they're so patient and encourage you to try on as many frames as you want without being bothered. Dr. Lee doesn't make you wait more than 2 minutes, she takes her time! On 11.3.22 Dr. Teagles conducted my first eye exam. Glasses came back and l noticed that the right eye vision was off. He conducted a second re-evaluation and the glasses went back to the lab. After a few days the glasses came back and l went home with them. After a few days l took them back because the vision was off. As l arrived, l was seen by the male technician who indicated that l took home the glasses with the wrong right lense. He said that the lense had arrived a day after. When was he supposed to call me to let me know that my glasses were wrong?...l was there because l knew they had messed up my glasses...This prompted a call to my insurance to request an evaluation with a different optometrist, which was granted. Yesterday 12.5.23, l went back to Dr. Teagles and one of his assistants explained that the issue was the progressive line and positions which was the problem. Clearly Dr. Teagles team needs additional training on properly measuring progressive lines.....They made me go through hell for two months and l ended up spending more money due to his assistants incompetent......Just be careful if your eyes need a bit more expertise from the assistants.....They were all very nice, friendly and attentive. read more
