Found the place just looking around on Yelp and couldn't resist based off pictures alone. It's a smaller shop tucked in the corner of the shopping center. Went in early evening on a Sunday and only one person was waiting for their drink. The menu is pretty extensive and I liked how they had drinks with topping recommendations. We decided on the Green Iceland with boba and lychee jelly and Chocomint milk tea with boba and custard pudding. The drinks came out in less than 3 minutes. The I didn't get too much of a chocolate or mint taste from the milk tea, just maybe a hint. The boba had a pretty great bite and the custard was only slightly sweet. I liked the Green Iceland a lot especially with the Lychee jelly. A little more sweet than the milk tea but was very refreshing. Definitely coming back soon. read more

I've made the trek to Eden to get their teas a couple of times so I'm glad they opened up a closer location to me. This one is smaller and not much seating room. More of a grab and go kinda place. I like that they sell different sizes of their teas. I ordered the taro milk tea and it was good. They also have samples if you cannot decide on what to get. read more

This place just opened! Very nice staff and very cute decors. I had the taro tea. The price was very reasonable for large drink. The taro tea was not as good as I expected. It was not bad, but I still prefer other ones over it. The rose milk tea was ok and my other friend got the matcha and she said it was ok as well. Watch out for tips. They charged 18% without informing the customer, so make sure you unselect the 18% tip if you don't want to. The servicer didn't tell me and I noticed it after I left. I don't think it is okay to set the tip at 18% without informing the customer. I should be informed about it and have the right to select how much tip I want to give. My go to drink is the Honey Rosie with 50% sugar/50% ice/honey boba. Absolutely love it! It's so refreshing with just the right amount of flavor. Amount of available parking may vary but generally I had luck before pandemic. The entrance is on the front right hand side and as you'd expect from the name, the place is really small. However, there is some seating inside and a bathroom. My former go-to was the color change lemonade. Now I default to seasalt coffee or taro milk tea, if I don't feel like trying another flavor out. I have been different levels of satisfied depending on the drink I order but always satisfied nonetheless. A classic place for taro boba just for a baseline of how the boba is prepped but the drink most worth getting specifically at TeaDM locations is seasalt coffee, as while many combinations are great (Shooting Star and Moonlight Mango come to mind), several identical or similar flavors/flavor combinations could be found at other places and be just as good. So TeaDM is probably one of my all time favorite bubble tea places. It's the only place I've been to so far that offers such an AMAZING coffee boba drink. My go-to order is the Sea Salt Black Coffee with coffee jelly and honey boba, I've tried a few others that are fine (strawberry milk tea is pretty good) but IMO nothing touches this coffee drink. With that being said, I've had a couple disappointments recently at this location-- once I ordered 2 toppings and was only given 1, and a couple times my drink wasn't even filled up to the top of the cup or there was a TON of ice in comparison to other times. Great addition to Vienna. I especially enjoy the strawberry milk tea with honey boba. I appreciate that most of their drinks are non-dairy for the those who are lactose. They use a tapioca milk. The menu is not that big which I really appreciate. Service was quick! As a breastfeeding mom of a newborn who naps every 1.5 hours, I don't get to leave the house often, and when I do, it's only for short periods of time. I was really glad to hear that TeaDM opened a location outside of Annandale, since it is much closer to the Tysons area and easier to access. That being said, it is a very small location that is not visible from the road, so you do have to look around for it a little bit. I ordered the Honey Rosie with honey boba, and noticed that if you checked in on Yelp you could get a free topping - but I noticed this after I made the purchase, because Yelp did not have the usual popup informing you about this. The workers noticed my distress and offered to add a second free topping, which I really appreciated. My boyfriend ordered the Vietnamese Sea Salt Coffee with coffee jelly. While waiting, I was able to admire the decor of the place - it is really very aesthetic and cute, and the music is great! We noticed that the couple that ordered before us were taking advantage of the deal and got 6 drinks. Surprisingly, the wait was not long - the workers behind the counter were definitely making the drinks quickly. Upon being given our drinks, one of the workers told my boyfriend that he should shake up his coffee before drinking it. I noticed that the cups are new - they are round and really cute! My boyfriend really appreciated his drink, saying that it had the perfect amount of coffee flavor. I thought mine was also pretty good, and I really enjoyed trying the "crystal boba" (agar) in my drink. Great experience here. This location just opened and had Soft Open pricing, including discounted drinks, free boba, and discounted add-ins for a limited time. The staff is friendly and the drinks were as good as any boba tea in the area. Awesome expansion off of the original TeaDM location in Falls Church. They serve all the drinks you know and love. It's still a small shop, so don't expect to come in and stay for awhile. It's more of a grab your drink and go type of place. That being said, the drinks are fantastic - consistent with the other location. They have a new rendition of the sea salt creme coffee that everyone loves, called the RTD version, which is described as a lighter, drink immediately version. It was great. Soooo happy that they opened a TeaDM closer to my work! Having to go to Eden Center just for this place was inconvenient and parking is always a mess there! I had to make a lot of drink orders so I decided to call them ahead of time for a pick up order which was super easy to do. They didn't mess up on any of my drinks also which sometimes happens when making a mass order over the phone. They also gave me a call back when they finished making all the drinks too! The store is located in the same shopping center as Taco Bamba and it's hidden away on the back left side of the shopping center (left of Loyal Companion). Parking was a bit of a mess because it was lunch time when I went so the whole parking lot was PACKED. Luckily my friend came with me so she just hopped out of the car to pick up our drinks so I can just go in circles around the parking lot. I highly recommend getting their milk teas! The flavor was perfect and they have non-dairy options for all lactose-intolerant people. Their fruit teas, not so much. They are creative with their flavors and mixes and overall, consistently good. It's located in a strip mall in Vienna. Tea itself is good. But please please use the right lid in order to let customers fully enjoy the milk cap. The ideal way to enjoy the milk cap is not mixing it up with the tea but to use a lip with two holes-one to drink the tea itself with a strawl and another one to enjoy the tea with the creamy milk cap on top. Yo TeaDM (Mini?), I don't know what's the deal with the ultra-musica vibes, headphones on your logo, and what in the world does DM mean? Digital Music? Digital Monsters? Direct Message? A bit confused by the marketing and branding, but don't let that distract you. While a brand certainly needs to carry its message, at least they're consistent inside the store with the neon lighting (I can hear the raves going on), "Boba and the Beat" text, and that music pumping in the background. Ok, enough about branding. Let's talk about the boba. I'll preface by saying that I didn't do the standard milk tea + boba that you must always try to set the tone for the bubble tea shop (shout out to them Taiwanese who invented bubble tea). However, I did get one of their signature drinks - the Seasalt Coffee with Coffee Jelly. It's pretty much like a Vietnamese Coffee with a slight savor to it (no duh, it's the seasalt). One thing that I don't like about Vietnamese Coffee (although I do love it), is that it can be a bit too sweet. I just wished that underlying bitterness of the coffee was a bit more front-forward than on the back. This ain't no Montgomery '55, that bold and bitter coffee flavor needs to be in the front! All said, it ain't bad at all if you're looking for a pick-me-up Vietnamese Coffee. Although I'm quite curious with what they could do with a "regular" coffee, maybe some single-origin Ethiopian coffee with the same Seasalt goodness. Well, who am I kidding, all those notes of the coffee would be blasted away by the seasalt (most likely). Just get some solid coffee beans and whip up a batch, I'm down. TL;DR: TeaDM, ignoring the fact that I have no idea where they are going with this music branding thing, their Seasalt Coffee is not bad at all. It's a tad sweet (but mellows out as the ice melts), but the seasalt nicely counterbalances the sweetness. It's Vietnamese-styled Coffee, so don't get your hopes up for some sort of 3rd-wave hipster coffee nonsense. read more
