My friends and I really love this place! We've been here twice now and both times had a great lunch. There are a huge selection of teas! I would recommend some of their sweeter teas- we had a cookie tea and it was delicious!! The food is also great! The first time I came here I had one of their vegetarian sandwiches with avocado, tomato, cheese, sprouts, and a delicious dill spread. I've also tried their quiches which have been really yummy too! They come with a small side salad and two pieces of banana bread which I save for later. I've definitely had better banana bread, but it's still a nice addition to the meal. The prices are fairly reasonable for the food with the prices of the teas a little on the high side. However, if you get a pot of tea to share with friends it's definitely cost effective. One pot of tea is easily enough for three people. The restaurant itself is probably the best part of this place! All the rooms have a British charm to them and are very well decorated. They should have a no kids policy if they cannot accept average kids disruptions. This used to be our favorite hang out place with the girls. However today it soured when the manager rudely told us off. We had kids and they were walking around playing (not disruptive as the manger Sara put it but admittedly a little distracting). Her attitude spoiled our girl's hang out time. This is very unprofessional. There's a lot of polite ways to point out that our kids are a little distracting. She did not have to be rude about the situation. I was about to book a party at the place but decided against it when this happened. We will no longer come here. If the Resturant cannot handle kids, then they should advertise this ahead of time, especially when we made a reservation with kids. If you have kids, I would not recommend coming here as Sara put it; they will damage the "antiques". read more

I am very disappointed to say that my Mom and I will never be patrons at Teaberry's again, no matter their location. At the end of June, my Mom booked my Bridal Shower for August 26th. This past Friday, she visited Teaberry's with my fiancé's two Aunts to eat lunch and plan the shower. I was so excited to have my shower at Teaberry's! Yesterday, we found out on FB about the restaurant's plans to move, as well as the many yard sales taking place - including the yard sale on the day of and during my booked Bridal Shower. As both my Mom and I were very surprised to learn this news, my Mom called Sara to ask about parking (the announcement stated it would be at the carriage house and patio) as well as decor and menu inside the house (the announcement also stated that the last day of service would be only two days after the shower.) My Mom was very nice on the phone (I was standing right next to her), however Sara was not. Sara told my Mom that she was "over-reacting" and that guests could "park in the municipal lot." This is quite problematic as we have a grandmother with mobility issues. Furthermore, when my Mom simply stated that she wished Sara had told her about the planned move so we could plan accordingly, Sara rudely told her, "I don't have to tell you anything!" Sara's responses and tone were completely unprofessional and downright nasty. After being spoken to like that, my Mom then informed Sara that we would be canceling the Bridal Shower. Although the invitations have been sent, and the decor ordered, I would not step foot inside Teaberry's now if someone paid me. Sara had no right to speak to my Mom in the way she did, and frankly, owes my Mom an apology. Thankfully, we have found another place with a very nice coordinator who will add to the happiness of this event, not take away from it. Sara - you have my Mom's number and I hope you use it to simply apologize for talking that way to my Mom. I have met your Mom several times, and I think you would feel the same way if someone treated her like you treated my Mom yesterday. Besides the variety of Tea's that they offer there is nothing about this place that is speculator. It is super pricey. For instance I make Quiche's at home and the quality was the same as I make (mine is better) and they charge $22 for a Quiche that you can make for $7 or $8. I went with a friend and we split the lunch entree and we still ended up $70 for an egg salad and quiche with tea. Egg Salad was awful. This afternoon was the first time I have been to Teaberry's. My coworkers and I went here for lunch. On many occasions, I would hear my coworkers rave about how good the food and tea was at Teaberry's. Well, they were right. Teaberry's is a charming place to eat and their food is amazing! I had the hot apple cider, and the the balsamic chicken sandwich with melted Brie, cranberry chutney and caramelized onions. It was amazing!! The only complaint I had was how stuffy and warm it was in the upstairs dining area. However, our waitress was more than happy to turn on the ac! The restaurant also has a store next door where you can order their tea. This place has character and charm. It may take you back to Downton Abey, as the servers are in black dresses with white aprons. If your from Bethlehem/Allentown your may find similarities here with Sweet Memories, in Emaus PA. Except, Sweet Memories may be less formal, and leave a few more dollars in your pocket. The food and tea here are excellent. We loved our Earl Grey variant with notes of vanilla. We got about 5 of their small China tea cups out of one pot. We went with the full Queens Royal tea service, plus I added a cup of soup and banana bread. The banana bread was great, but at 4.50 plus tax and tip for two slices better be. The cup of carrot ginger soup was perfect. I wanted the cup to never reach the bottom. Continuing with the royal tea, my wife had the cup of root vegetable soup. It was vegetable soup in a light broth, very forgettable and nothing special. The Windsor salad was huge, it took both of us to finish it. Lots of cheese and nuts on it. The sandwich plate was good we liked the cucumber dill and the mint radish. Plus the egg salad was decent. We could have lived without the sundries tomatoes thing in the center of my photo and the over cooled toastine with cheddar and bacon bits. The scones here are great, love the lemon curd too. It was full of flavor and fresh. I with the were larger than a Roy Rodgers biscuit. All the desserts were great, but they put a Lint Milk chocolate ball on it that felt out of place. It also came with gelato, we picked chocolate, you could also get sorbet. It arrived a bit melted, but it was creamy and smooth. In closing I should mention there is a massive plate share charge on the tea service, that's not very well described, do you get more food for it, it didn't seem so. I would have to say that everything is generally over priced. But still nice, and I may return occasionally. The seating was not the most comfortable, small chairs with limited cushions. I often felt like I was in a scene of Alison Wonderland, where I was huge like a giant. Our table was the size of a pizza box. My spoon was smaller than one of my fingers. Edit: If you're not 100% satisfied, prepare for some shade from the owner. I've been to many tea rooms and this one was just okay. I came as a group of three and we had a reservation. I do like that you have the option to make one as it seems this place fills up fast. We came for lunch and were seated immediately. I opted for the small teapot ($6 no refills) and the quiche du jour ($20). They advertise that they accommodate all dietary restrictions but have no lactose free milk options. A little disappointing since I love my tea with some milk (nbd I just popped a lactase pill). I enjoyed the quiche which came with a side pear salad and 2 pieces of banana bread. The quiche was lovely as well as the salad. The banana bread however was dry. Maybe next time I'll try a dessert instead. I would come back as there are very few tea rooms in the area, but I will say this place hurts my wallet. The prices are higher than standard but I guess you're paying for the ambiance? So this may indicate that a part of me is mentally older than my real age... I went here for a staff retreat with a company I worked for, for some time. This company consists of mostly women in their 30's with some exceptions of younger women. However most of them are older. This may explain the choice of this place. Teaberry's is located in a beautiful house with an equally beautiful garden. It feels a little out of place, but in a good way. They have tables both inside and out and the house is surrounded by teas and accessories that you can buy to make your tea drinking experience an amazing one. Now I have a confession here: I love tea. love it. It might be because I grew up in a Russian household where people drink it on a regular basis but still I have a very strong love for it, no matter what the temperature or the season is. We were lucky enough to have a speaking program with the lady who owns the place. It was very informative and interesting. We also got to try different types of teas while eating our lunch which was good as well. Although i didnt have to pay for anything this time, the prices are not really cheap for the food, but I think they may be worth it. The ambiance of this place is calming, almost as if time stood still for a little bit, and you dont feel like you need to rush anymore, at least not for tas long as you are in there. I highly recommend this place, and I am planning on coming back here again to join the elderly ladies, try some amazing teas that are not made using a tea bag but instead are brewed, and some great food to go with it. and no, I am not just raving about it because I didnt have to pay.... p.s.- for the jewelry lovers theres a great jewelery store right next to it which sells not so cheap but beautiful and original jewelry, definitely worth checking it out. read more

Never host a small event there. The room given for 10 people is a closet. (It's the picture on yelp that has a table with 6 chairs. They put 10 on that one). You will sit on top of one another. When addressed with management, there was rudeness, obnoxious responses, defensiveness and negative behavior, specifically Sara. Clearly, not the first time someone has reacted this way to their smaller "10 person" rooms because her reaction was unapologetic and she didn't flinch at all. It's more for 6 max 8 people with no walking room if there is greater than 6. We were repeatedly told that people love it in that room. I would like to hear from a party of 10 adults that actually loved that small room. Waitress saved the day. She must have seen the reactions before too Bc she apologized immediately and knew how to work around it. Food was good and her service was very good. (She was the saving grace for their perspective of what a 10 person Room holds). She even acknowledged that there wasn't enough room on the table for all 10 people's orders... Overpriced for the services with the room fee. They waived the room fee for us after a few insults on us (customer service?) but we were still stuck with a room where we had to practically sit on top of one another. Every time someone wanted to get up, everyone had to get up to move around the room. The fee for the food and glassware,(yes they charge for glassware too), should be enough, (even that was overpriced), to cover selling out rooms because outside of the Salon room the rest of the rooms are smaller than what they state can hold the amount of guests. The adjoining room had a table at the doorway which they had to move in order for them to shut the door to our room for privacy! Poor guests in the other room too! Was optimistic about having the event here. After management's terrible reaction and behavior, lies on the phone about how many people can comfortably sit in the room, I will not hold future events here (and I plan a lot!) Just for perspective: We wanted to cash tip our waitress (Bc she really did save the event) more than what was listed on the bill under gratuity and were told that we had to pay them this way Bc "this is how it's always done". read more

This is a 'must go to' place if you are spending time in Flemington in the early part of the day. Whether you live nearby or have to travel... I suggest Teaberry's, top recommendation. There is a tremendous variety of teas - fun. The soups are outstanding. The salads are absolutely interesting, fresh and YUMMY. The sandwiches and extras (potato salad) are the best. If you go for brunch, leave room for dessert. And, definitely come back again for a crepe if you don't get one on the first visit. LOVE this place, and my husband does too. Not just a place for the ladies. My husband finds the breakfast and the sandwiches too be top notch and enjoys the hot chocolate on the cooler days! We went to Teaberry's for Mother's Day (3:30 reservation) and ordered the Milady's Tea which would include sandwiches, a scone and dessert assortment. It's important to note that if you are on the hungry side and looking for a larger assortment of finger sandwiches, you must order the entree sandwich package ($20) instead of the Milady ($42). Service was great and the scones were delicious. Desserts were very good. Note that everything is brought in stages as opposed to other tea places that may bring everything on tiered servers. The décor is beautiful, including the upside down tree when you first arrive. Who knew that one could enjoy a high tea in Flemington, NJ! Our reservation was for 4:00 PM and we spent the next two hours slowly drinking our pots of tea, nibbling on a scrumptious assortment of tea sandwiches, licking creme fresh from the scones, fighting over which mini sweet pastry was the best and finally groaning as we finished our blood orange sorbet. The Victorian dining room with mismatched china and silver was warm and welcoming. The long white aprons over black dresses on the wait staff made me think I landed on the Downton Abby set. Everyone was charming and made a point of explaining what each item on our plates included. The tea menu covered two pages and ranges from exotic black tea blends to herbals. We went specifically for tea - something we enjoy doing whenever we travel. Having had complete teas in London, Denver, Chicago, Dublin, New York and Toronto I can unequivocally say that Teaberry's scones were the best I have ever had anywhere. Since we first began visiting for tea, Teaberry's has relocated down the road into a new Victorian building and we love the change! On the first floor, two large seating rooms are decorated in beautiful yet chic Victorian design and accents. Fresh flowers adorn each table which are set with lacy linens, genuine silverware, and bowls of dainty sugar cubes. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful with menu suggestions and inquiries - and they certainly know their tea! The menu offers nearly 100 varieties of tea (that's not an exaggeration!) and a lovely selection of homemade soups, delicious and extensive entrée salads, quiche, hot and cold sandwiches, scones, and divine homemade desserts!! You won't be disappointed! They also offer afternoon tea service. Food is served on authentic English-patterned silverware and tea arrives in individual pots kept warm by patterned tea cozies. In addition to the beautiful atmosphere and unique food, there is an upstairs area with rooms that can be reserved for parties and two rooms of tea-related merchandise. In the shop section, you can purchase any of the loose teas offered on the Teaberry's menu plus teacups, spoons, teapots, sugars, tea-themed gifts, and much more. I only give this place a 3 star bc of the rude behavior of the hostess (young woman who 'welcomes' people & looks like a manager of sorts) - came here to celebrate a birthday and we were dismissed on multiple occasions. For example, when I was asking for accommodation for an addition table setting, I was met with a look of disapproval and ignored. Or when I'd try to ask when seating would available for my reservation, she kept delaying with a coldness to well past my reservation slot. One of my favorite tearooms. If only it weren't so far away... The food is lovely, the ambiance is so nice (check out the sassy bathroom upstairs with the bathtub full of hats!) and the servers are wonderful. I've never felt rushed here, so it's a great place to sit and chat as your tea service comes out. I usually splurge and order the Princess Tea and a cup of their Lobster Bisque (so good!) They always have a great seasonal list of teas that changes, and the tea sandwiches and the tiny desserts can vary so it's never quite the same. Absolute awful experience. The host was incredibly rude as was her mother (the owner mind you). I'm a tad nervous to go into too much detail because it seems like this management likes to go through the reviews and comment back and furthermore add embarrassment to this establishment (go ahead, take a peeksy through other reviews). I will say, don't expect to be greeted politely nor taken as a serious paying customer. I was with my friend and she wanted to order just a quick something as she had not eaten all day (she was very clear about this). She was mocked by the owner who had assumed it was a "medical emergency" and she could get some "orange juice" because apparently it was absurd to try and place an order off the menu. We understood our reservation (for a larger party that was still on their way and not there yet) didn't start for another 15 min. But we honestly were just trying to get a straight answer out of these people as to why we couldn't order? Instead we got a stern no, then the owner and her daughter coming in and being so unprofessional and telling us essentially that "fine, you can order something" As someone who has worked in the industry for quite sometime I've never seen such unprofessional behavior towards patrons. All you have to do is explain why your staff couldn't handle one measly order when your establishment wasn't even at full capacity. If you cannot handle the volume as is, think about hiring more people on a weekend and nevertheless a Sunday; which I would assume would be your busiest day. The biggest takeaway here: don't be so RUDE! Learn how to graciously handle the obstacles. We are understating people but when treated in such a way, it's hard not to feel completely and utterly offended. read more

My friend had the ginger and carrot soup and we shared a large salad so we had room for scones. We ordered one coconut and one lavender and lemon scone. The preferred the coconut since the lavender was a bit too much fragrance for me. The best part was the tea I ordered called silver jubilee. It was a delicately flavoured chamomile with a hint of vanilla and cardamom. It was brewed to perfection. It was so good that both my friend and I bought some tea to take home with us.
