I came here on a Friday night right before closing and ordered a honey lemon tea with no toppings. My first sip tasted good but I immediately felt two things in my mouth that I spit out. One was a lemon seed and the other looked like it might have been part of a fingernail - a bit sharp, curved, and the texture felt like a fingernail. It's entirely possible that it was something else but I was too grossed out to continue drinking it. I had to toss it. If the grading system was from A+ to T-, then T plus lived up to its name. I ordered two items - the coconut black tea and their black milk tea. For both drinks, the black tea base was very very watery and tasted like soy milk - there wasn't much tea flavor and for the price and competition in the area, it really doesn't stand out. I love supporting local businesses and Tea Plus is just that, a non-assuming boba and snack shop right on San Bruno Ave. The store owner is extremely friendly. He's not always there but the couple of times that he was there, he's chatty and really nice. We order the popcorn chicken (large size) and the all white meat is flavorful and very crispy and perfectly seasoned. The drinks are good and they have a huge variety. The oreo milk tea was a favorite. If you are looking for a boba place that also offers snacks, definitely come here. We will be visiting for sure when we are in the area. read more

So this review is for a uber eat delivery. You can't always expect delivery food to be like eating it there since there's going to be a much longer travel time from restaurant to consumers. The first star I took off was because of the Mega snackbox that I order, it was suppose to be a mix of a few fried food. But I literally got 2 onion rings, 2 mozzarella sticks, 1 mini spring roll, 1 jalapeno popper, and a full box of fries. The mega box was 3x the price of fries, if I know it was like this I would just order something else. The second star is because of the curry fishball over rice, I think it normally comes with 6 fishball but there was a option to add 6 more for an addition $4.50. Because of how good their fishball is, I pay that extra amount. But after waiting for over an hour, it only came with 6 fishball. It was still really good tho, probably some of the best curry fishball around the area. Other ways I think they can improve is training staff on delivery orders, like there was no utensil, napkin, or straw in the bag, which I personally don't mind since it's better to not use that much plastic. Also the way they place the food in the bag, my biggest box was put on top of two small containers so it was tilted at an angle so most of the sauce was leaking. Last but probably the most important is the fried food, maybe cut a small hole so some of the heat/steam can escape so it's not completely saggy when it arrives. This place is odd. The interior is rather so-so, and my friend had remarked that the kitchen looked pretty dirty. The service is nice though. They give you coupons depending on the $ amount that you spend. The bubble tea is about $3. The bubble tea itself is not too bad. I liked my boba. However my boyfriend's grass jelly was quite hard, and he was disappointed with the quality. We also got the potato croquettes which were tasty but $6 for three. The most unorganized and dirty milk tea spot I have ever been to. The inside of the restaurant is dark and covered in filth. The decorations are all out of date; their special prices that they advertise aren't even what they charge for their drinks anymore. The floor looked like it hasn't been swept/mopped in days! By filled up I mean maybe 5 other customers ahead of me. This place was really small so it couldn't really fit too many customers. It should not take 30+ minutes to make a few drinks. Then I looked around some more and there I saw it: a health score of 77!!! How... how does a milk tea establishment have a health score of 77... I immediately asked for a refund. Saturday night, 10 PM. Just got back from snowboarding in Tahoe. This is the only Boba spot still open within mine & the boyfriend's vicinity. 1 worker, all tables full but no one has any drinks. Is this a sign? Everyone is on their phone yet here I am waiting 28 minutes to order. A few more minutes, he says. The worker goes back and forth from the back to the front making no drinks or eye contact with anyone. He comes back again, apologizes for the wait and says, "few more minutes." I'm waiting. Pretty sure this is the place for everyone to just walk in, take a seat, use the free wifi and sit for hours doing nothing but play games or be on their phones. On the bright side, they have the Costco version of Jenga and some games for little kids. They also play music on a TV screen. But still, it's pretty cramped in here. 10:31. Finally put my order in. Green apple green tea with boba light ice, 50% sweet. Thai milk tea, light ice with boba. Lychee slush with boba. While waiting, I decided to look around.. in the spot I'm standing in -since the establishment is pretty small and all seats were taken by boys on their phones. The egg puff machine was dripping with old batter, on the sides and the table. You can see in the back where they keep everything, in plain sight, that all of their boxes are stacked from the floor to the ceiling. I feel bad for this worker. Why is there only one person working? 2/5 because he made the effort to make the drinks diligently and as quickly as possible. The green apple drink tasted disgusting. I came for a basic jasmine milk tea with boba. They ran out of boba and I was pretty annoyed because he didn't tell me until after I ordered. If you grew up around San Bruno Ave, then you probably remember Quickly's being go-to the boba spot. Fast forward years later and now Quickly's is gone, but many tea places have opened up in the area since. Even the restaurants have boba! But, as many options as I have to choose from, Tea Plus is a definite go-to for me. The prices are great, the selection keeps expanding, and they're open later than the rest of the boba shops. I feel like every time I go there, there's something new and I love it. Loveee it I tell you.
