Hit or miss with this location of Tea-Do. I am obsessed with their Philly location but have had mixed results from this one. I usually get the grasshopper and order ahead for pickup since I have little ones and am short on time. They have messed up my order 3 times now. Twice they've forgotten to add in the boba and the third time they had boba but took out the jellies without me asking. I took a chance and ordered the hello kitty today but again they took out the jellies without me asking so it was just a overpriced $5 guava tea with boba. With all the awesome bubble tea spots in the area, I don't see myself ordering from here again anytime soon. You'll have better luck ordering inside but make sure to check your order! read more

My family and I frequent Tea-Do at least once a month for their refreshing tea choice selections! Favorites are taro, tiger milk tea, passion fruit green tea and mango smoothie. My least favorite was the zen awakening.. I absolutely love ca phe sua da, and add in chocolate!? yes, of course I'd be down to try! which I did, and it turned out to just not be a hit for me, but I am happy to have given it a try at least. We've recently tried their gyu don bowl with shrimp tempura. Don't let the size of the bowl fool you, it tastes great and is very filling. Out of the baked salmon, shrimp tempura and eel onigiri, the eel was our favorite, the others still taste good, but eel was just better in our opinion. The inside is clean and seems spacious enough, we rarely sit in, but have been there a few times where the crowd was starting to pick up. We love to call or order online for pick up, although the wait time when ordering in person is not terrible either. read more

The instant you walk into the sleek, dark interior, you think "this place is too cool for me." (Hm...just me? Never mind.) Pros: -board games available for playing. We enjoyed the likes of Jenga, Connect Four, and Uno. -FRESH watermelon smoothies, which many tea shops do not do. -good tea in general. Cons: a single, unisex bathroom. Did not enjoy discovering a guy doing #1 when I went to use the restroom and turns out he didn't lock the door. There were two locks he could have used and he used neither, apparently. Not sure if this was intentional or not on his part, but it sure was awkward when he sat at the next table for a while and tried to make eye contact. 3/30/21 On March 28th 2021, my wife and I decided to check out this store called Tea Do. On our walk from the parking lot we saw trash can after trash can overflowing with trash. This whole experience started putting a bad taste in our mouths. The store was right by another trash can overflowing with trash. It made the experience of walking into the less than satisfied. We were greeted, but then pretty quickly ignored. I looked at the menu to see what I wanted, but did not find anything promising. While waiting for my wife to get something, I saw the store looked well kept, but the seating area was closed off to the public. I could picked my wife and I sitting down at one of the tables talking, drinking and having a good time. Unfortunately reality set in and this wasn't an option. Maybe it was the ambience or the trash outside that set the mood for me, but I wanted to get out of the store quickly. The store was closed off from seating, because of the Coronavirus outbreak. This did not help my mood on this place either. It could also be why the whole shopping Center isn't getting their trash cans empty. Whatever the case is, the trash outside the store played a big part of use not buying anything there. I do hope the next time we visit, the outside environment can set a better tone than what we saw on the inside. read more

Love how it's super close to my apartment. Love all the games they have. Love how they're open late. Love the onigiris and the onigiri eating guide. Love all the teas I've tried. The Zen's Awakening isn't too sweet and has a nice balanced taste of chocolate and bitterness from the coffee. They also let you put whipped cream on it if you want (eff the calories cuz you should never say no to whipped cream and extra chocolate drizzle!). Their signature black milk tea is def a different taste from Kung Fu Tea and Ocha Tea. It tastes a lot milkier than the teas from the neighboring shops. It's not too sweet for me, but sweet enough that if you have a sweet tooth (like me!), you don't need to make it extra sweet. I've also tried their milk green tea and Thai milk tea, both of which my bf and I enjoyed. The shrimp tempura onigiri came out piping hot and was quite tasty! I've only been here twice, but my drinks were great both times. On both visits, I got the cold brew jasmine milk tea and would highly recommend coming here. The tea isn't overly sweet, and you can actually taste the tea through the milk. My family members got some other drinks that I got to try that were also good (honey jasmine green tea, red sun, and brown sugar tiger milk). I really like Tea Do because not only are their drinks good, but their drinks are cheap (~$4 with tax for a medium drink, including one topping). They also have a loyalty program where you get 1 point per dollar spent and a free drink for every 50 points that you earn. There's an online ordering system that I haven't tried yet, but I always appreciate the ability to do so in case I don't feel like talking to anyone/don't want to wait. Parking in the plaza can be kinda tricky because there are many other businesses surrounding Tea Do, but it's worth the visit :) read more

3.5 stars. To be honest, I thought this place was quite average compared to other boba tea places. They definitely have some flavors unique to this franchise. But a lot of it is similar to other places. The other thing that is pretty different is the takoyaki and the onigiris. Those are pretty cheap (6 takoyakis for only $4) and pretty delicious. I got to try a Zen's Awakening and the Black Milk Tea with boba. Zen's Awakening was basically a coffee/mocha smoothie. It was okay, nothing too amazing. Their Black Milk Tea was definitely not the best I've had. It was ok, nothing special. Their boba is more on the soft, squishier side if you prefer that (I love that). I would probably only come here if I'm in the area or I'm craving for some cheap takoyaki and onigiri. read more

Tried this place out for the first time. I don't have any pictures unfortunately but I hope my review helps you decide to eating from here. :D Their salmon and eel onigiri are really good. Side note: the onigiri has really cool and unique packaging. You're supposed to peel the plastic to reveal the seaweed. It keeps the seaweed from becoming soggy! The Juliet drink is also really refreshing if you enjoy pomegranate, green tea, and rose flavors. It also has bits of aloe too. The mango slush is also very refreshing and doesn't taste milky like other places that make mango slush. Overall, it's a good place to get your boba and teas. The onigiri is pricey ranging from $3.50 to $5. If you are on the go and want a quick filling snack, by all means get it. But this is also quick and easy to make from home too. If you haven't tried this place out, try it! You might like it and I definitely would love to order from here again. read more

Decided to drop in during a Friday evening to try this new tea shop that a lot of my friends had been talking about. Ambiance is very modern and cute! Everything was so new and fresh I could literally smell the paint off the walls. The employees were very friendly and helpful as I asked about the drinks and the flavors. I ended up ordering the almond milk tea with bubbles as I've never come across a tea shop that got the taste to be authentically almond. While waiting, my friends and I noticed they had a huge collection of fun games that included classics like uno and jenga (a whole lot of jenga. Seriously, I think I saw at least 5 sets of jenga blocks lol), as well as Drunk, Stoned, or Stupid, Cards Against Humanity, and more. I can definitely see myself coming with a group of friends to hang out! Especially since they open until 12 and 1 am on Friday Saturdays! The actual tea was very enjoyable! If no one told me the name of the tea, I'd definitely still notice the almond flavor on my own, so that's two thumbs up for me! Been visiting for a while and like the products they make but the staff is rude. Especially an older Vietnamese lady. Just this evening I went in to pick up an online order my partner had placed and when I went to pick it up she GRABBED it from my hand and spoke condescendingly "this is an online order" No kidding it's an online order. MY ONLINE ORDER. So if there were better late night options for boba I'd go there. I suggest doing curbside pickup as that will be my go to option from now on. I've been meaning to write a review for Tea-Do for a while and this evening reminded me that their stellar service needed to be shared. Of course they have great milk tea options, non-milk teas and fruit tea options, delicious onigiri and takoyaki too. If you've had avocado smoothies at Viet restaurants, just know that Tea-Do's is really on point. One time when I ordered takoyaki a staff member came up to me and was super apologetic about it taking a while and gave me a voucher for a free drink for next time. He was so kind I was actually weirded out. Tonight we celebrated my husband's birthday at Iron Age a couple doors down. Upon arrival the host told me we could sing but not cut the cake there (not sure why they didn't tell us that when I made a reservation for 25 people). We were really disappointed at that. Anyways, afterwards we all popped into Tea-Do for some teas. I was hesitant to ask but you never know if you don't ask! So...I asked if they would allow us to cut birthday cake there. They kindly obliged, provided us with forks, take out containers to use as plates, and a knife to cut the cake. They didn't even know our previous situation and yet we're so nice. 12/19: Soft opening is happening currently. BOGO is going to be happening all weekend (Fri-Sun) except on smoothies. Workers were so polite and knowledgeable! Place is spacious and located in the same center as Il Mee and behind Shila Bakery. Plenty of parking and they close ar midnight every day except Fri/Sat, they close at 1am!!! So excited for a boba place to be open this late! 12/21: Made it to the bogo event (obviously)! Ordered ten drinks (yes, you read that correctly)- Tropical Twister, Mango Green Tea, First Love, Black Milk Tea, Hulk, Taro Milk Tea, Green Apple Green Tea, Strawberry Green Tea, and Passionfruit Green Tea. I listed them in order of which I liked best. I would probably only ever order the Tropical Twister or Mango Green Tea ever again. I've noticed most of the fruit teas are overly sweet and the milk teas could use more sugar. I did like how most of the specialty drinks came with a type of topping. The aloe vera weirded me out but probably because I'm used to only jelly and boba. I also did try the onigiri (shrimp tempura and eel) and both were delicious! Yes, there was a lot of rice, but the shrimp I got in mine was a nice big shrimp! Definitely would recommend them. They also come with a side of a sauce (spicy mayo?). Located in the shopping center home to Shilla Bakery and Li'l Thingamajigs and across from The Block, this recent addition is an excellent place to chill or to grab something for on the go. The number one thing I need to rave about are the tapioca pearls (the most common boba/topping that typical tea-goers should be familiar with). They were soft, fresh, and packed with that subtle honey taste that so many places skimp out on when it comes to tapioca. The second thing I need to mention are the convenient hours. As of this review, Tea Do closes at midnight on most nights and at 1am on Friday and Saturday nights. This is a full two hours later than other establishments. The Zen's Awakening and the Black Milk Tea are shown in the attached pictures. Despite my sweet tooth, the Zen's Awakening was a little on the sweet side, so you might want to adjust your sugar levels accordingly. It looks different from your typical tea drinks. I'm honestly not sure if I'd get the Zen's Awakening again, honestly, though. The takoyaki with bonito flakes was delicious, however. Piping hot with batter done right. (Came with six pieces.) A big plus are the games, a staple at many tea locations. In addition to numerous boxes of Jenga, games included Connect Four, Uno, Funemployed (highly recommended with larger groups in the vein of Cards Against Humanity), and more. Tea-Do is located in a shopping center near the block and Shilla's bakery in Annandale. The store is very appealing in the inside and the decorations are nice but I did not enjoy the drinks as much. I came during their opening which was buy one get one free and my friend and I got their "Romeo & Juliet." Those drinks were a little more sour than I had expected but I thought that it was because since it was their opening and it was busy, they would be making drinks improperly which is reasonable during openings. I decided to go a few days ago with my friends again, their hours are very great compared to most boba shops around this area since they do close pretty late. My friends and I decided to order some Takoyaki and a variety of Onigiri's. We also ordered some drinks which were the fire dragon and the grasshopper. Here's my opinion on each one: -Takoyaki : I'm very disappointed in their takoyaki. There was not much octopus which I expected just a little but it was if there was no octopus in it at all! - Onigiri's : The shrimp tempura was good, something very expected. The spam was actually disappointing with the amount of excessive rice that came with it. I would have thought the spam would have a different flavor that popped out but sadly it didn't. This is something I wouldn't pay for in the future because I can simply make it at my own home. Also, I understand there are instructions on how to open the package but why is there a need for such a complicated package? My friend struggled to open the package and completely left out the nori. - Drinks : As for the drinks, The grasshopper seemed too sour than it should have and the fire dragon tasted too milky. Not sure how to describe it but it didn't pop out with flavor, it kind of tasted poorly mixed. I don't hate Tea-Do, don't get me wrong, it's not the best place for tea but it's a bearable spot to hang out late at night. I hope in the future I'll find a great drink from there but for now that's my view on Tea-Do.
