Pricing far above other quotes We were charged $558.31 (before a 15% discount) to replace a single front wheel lug stud. For the exact same repair, I later received written quotes of $228.80 from an independent shop and $381 including tax from a Subaru dealership. That means Christian Brothers' price was about 2.4x the independent shop and about 1.5x the dealership for the same job. Christian Brothers owner and employee told me they used an ALLDATA labor guide to calculate the bill and charged 2.1 hours of labor, while the other shop quoted 1.0 hour. I understand different shops can have different labor rates and methods, but this felt significantly out of line with other reputable options in the area. 2. Response to my concerns When I raised these concerns by email, the owner's reply came across as dismissive. I was told that "complaining about the price after the fact is mute at this point" and that if we did not like the cost, we should have gone elsewhere. I had hoped for a more constructive conversation about why the price was so much higher than other quotes. We chose this shop largely because of the "Christian Brothers" name and the expectation of fair dealing that came with it. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we would not return and cannot recommend this location to others.

While I understand that unexpected issues can happen, those are all important parts of the service you're paying for, and using the wrong oil filter is especially concerning. He blames it on employees who don't work there anymore but ensures me there's still 3 of the 5 left so I tell him to mount it. She gets back after home after 45 mins at the place, what happened to 10 minute oil changes? I go out and check the skid plate only to see it's barely hanging on with 1 screw. Check the oil and it's half a quart low. So for an almost $100 oil change, they shorted me on oil half a quart and lose the mounting screws for the skid plate and not once did they offer to fix it. No discount on the oil, no offering to order new screws, nothing, they just BS'd their way through it to get the sale. Ended up having to go to the dealership and order new mounting screws for the skid plate which cost $20 and had to buy a quart of oil to top it off so in all, this oil change cost $135 and some change. After almost 10 years of getting my oil changed at this place I'll be going somewhere else from now on.

The technician told me that Ford had filled my transfer case with the wrong fluid and that it was leaking. This was surprising, as the service at Ford had been completed just one month and three days prior. To be safe, I took the fluid sample back to Ford. They reviewed both the sample and their service records and confirmed that the correct fluid had been used. I also had an independent mechanic evaluate it, and they confirmed there was absolutely nothing wrong. I was also told there was a leak, but I have seen no evidence of any leaking fluid where the vehicle is parked. This experience caused unnecessary stress and wasted time getting second opinions. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage others to verify any major claims made here before taking further action.

In my situation, the last place I went to cranked the oil filter on so hard that 3 guys couldn't get it off (not a surprise - Jiffy Lube who offered such a horrible experience that I will never go to one again. I know they are franchised - but don't care. Won't do it, it was that horrible). Anyway, the guys here said to go back to the same JL, and once I get the canister open, they will replace the filter. Incompetent. Liars. Thieves. I just recently moved here and…read moreneeded an oil change and to look for a new mechanic. With the oil change came a free inspection to look over the car and they recommend I needed to replace the front suspension and sway bars. Trusting them and their opinion I proceeded to have the work done, taking my grand total from $106 to $1,594. It took them 2 days to finish the work and return the car to me (at this time they did have an accident with their power box so I didn't blame them for taking an extra day to work on the car) The manager of this location, Ryan said this was a tough one for his workers to do as they had to realign my car 4 times before returning it to me. Having the vehicle returned to me, I noticed several of my things were out of place. I open up my center console to see that nearly everything I had in there was stolen. (From what was stolen I believe they neglected my car and left it unlocked overnight - either this or a "trusted" employee) They found 2 items of mine that were missing outside of the store and they were returned to me. Ryan, the store manager insinuated that perhaps I could've "dropped these things from my car" Within the first 25 minutes of my drive, my car started making a knocking/popping noise from the front of the car. I returned my vehicle back to them to look it over once more while they claimed to look over their cameras for the missing items. They had the car for another full day and Ryan claimed it was a real "head scratcher" but determined it was my struts. I trusted him and picked it back up. 30 minutes down the road and the car begins making the same noice. Again. I escalated these issues to the Regional Manager, Omar who handed us off to another EAS location that he isn't even associated with to look over our car. Thankfully, the EAS Mississippi Ave. location was able to find the issue (a faulty sway bar link) within an hour of my vehicle being there. So much for a head scratcher. We were never reimbursed for the Ubers we needed to take for having no car for several days and no offer of a loner vehicle. Still no one wants to address the stolen items from the car. Please, please do not take your car here - I have never, ever experienced anything like this before.
