As stupid as I thought it was I gave her a dollar and told her how ridiculous it was to charge for tap water and she BLEW UP on me! Started yelling at me and then says she's refusing service to me and to leave then throws the dollar in my face. I explain to her that I was experiencing signs of heat exhaustion and that I was getting some water and put the dollar back on the counter and picked up a cup. She then came out from behind the counter and hit my hand so hard it bent my wrist back and made the cup go flying out of my hand. She then went ballistic on me screaming in my face and waving her arms around like a lunatic then CALLS THE COPS lying to them saying I was shoplifting!! Obviously the cops didn't believe me because why would they believe a homeless person but they actually TRESSPASSED me!! Also the manager didn't care at all that this was how her employee was acting. All I know is they should be giving ME a job to make up for allowing this behavior...especially towards someone who is diagnosed with PTSD from this exact same type. of ABUSE! Was that 50 cent water cup worth the trauma that I went through because of your employee, Chevron? I didn't know your company condoned bullying and discrimination. I would not recommend going in to this location AT ALL EVER unless you pre-set your phone to record your interactions with employees.

I do have standards, barely, in that I generally only would eat at 7-11, AM/PM and Circle K. Although I did find a great place in Illinois called Casey's General Store that I would happily add to my standards list. Here is a new one to add, QuikTrip. We don't have them in California. They put my favorite, AM/PM, to shame. They are so clean and have everything that you could want from a convenience store but what really sets them apart is the made to order food (sandwiches, pizza) and their "Roller" grill. There they have a bounty of items like hot dos, egg rolls, taquitos and the like and it is fully loaded. It looks like they take great pride in their food. I have visited a handful of QT's in my travels but just got water and fuel. After a long day I was tired and ready to get food. After spending way too much time deciding I went for a Country Sausage Dog doused in cheese sauce and a Kolache. The Country Sausage Dog is what you might think it is, sausage rolled like a hot dog on a bun. It was delicious. If you like breakfast sausage you will love this treat. I classed it up by dousing it in the cheese sauce. The Kolache was next level. A spicy hot dog rolled in this sweet bread and baked. It reminded me of being a kid and making hot dogs wrapped in the Pillsbury Crescent Roll dough. Delicious! Ultimately, this place hits the mark. Friendly, clean, tons of selection and fuel. This place is a must for any road trip.

The vanilla shake had a decent, albeit mild but not artificial taste. It actually tastes like it has vanilla extract in it. It was perfectly thick and cold. The cup was styrofoam, so the drink stayed chilled, and the extra wide/thick straw made the shake drinkable. Gas prices are lower than Chevron, but not as low as Costco. The large has area under the canopy is well-lit at night and the employees aren't surly. They actually say hello to you and are polite and helpful.

I just said ok that's fine, then when waiting by a gas pump i approached the cashier again to ask for a slim jim where I was greeted with a phone call where Mark was on the phone with the police asking me if i needed an ambulance, I responded no I jsut wanted to get a slim jim. Then Mark says to the dispatcher, yes pelase send a tow truck and police officer. Absolutely confused, I just left because I don't know what Marks intentions were. The pricing was 3 cents higher than my usual station butt so worth it when my car was thirsty. There are only 4 gas pumps. I paid with my credit card. The convenient store looked like it was on the smaller side. Because I was in a rush, I didn't check out the convenience store on the inside so I am not sure what vibe it has. I was simply grateful that I could gas up before hitting the highways. This is nice to know because sometimes, we get low on gas near the highway.

Everything ended up working out in the end however, this is their phone, CUSTOMER SERVICE department. I had the need to speak with them regarding this issue and they were extremely unhelpful and unprepared for what needed to be done. Don't ask for management or CORPORATE because there is none to speak with in requesting a callback from someone in management or an Administrative capacity is also impossible. I will not continue to use Circle K for fuel or for convenience in the future because of this, but you just don't make the cut.

I don't know how that price is real, but I'm not questioning it. It hits every time. Grabbed a coffee too, because the latte taps (hot AND cold) are kind of elite for a gas station. Super convenient and actually good. Also, as long as the kitchen is open, you can order through the app, and they run meal deals and other promos, which makes it even easier to justify the stop. Another thing I appreciate, they're one of those designated safe meetup locations (they've got signage posted), and I've actually seen people use it to exchange items safely. That's a small thing that goes a long way. Every time I walk in, someone greets me, which stands out because there are times I don't see THEM. OH, I just realized, I forgot to get gas... oh well... plenty of pumps, I must have been too excited about my sub.
