I paid approximately $4,400 for the repair, but when I got my car back, the exact same noise was still there. I contacted the shop and was told the car was fine and to ignore the noise. I was also told the repair was covered by a six-month guarantee. When I brought the car back under that guarantee, I was then told the noise was caused by something else and that I would need to pay for additional repairs. When I asked for a refund because the original issue had not been fixed, the owner became angry and used profanity toward me. I understand that diagnoses can change, but I expected the original problem to be resolved or for the guarantee to be honored without being charged for more repairs. Unfortunately, my experience left me very disappointed, and I cannot recommend this shop.

After a week of nothing from the dealership, my coworkers told me about Menard Auto Repair and about the amazing owner, Dan. I gave Dan a call and told him my situation. He recommended a tow company, who went right out to get my truck, and told me how he works. Dan told me he could get a used motor and that he would go through it to make sure it was good before install. We decided on a new motor from Chevrolet. The Chevrolet dealer didn't deliver the motor on time (typical auto dealership) but it finally showed up to Dan's shop. Dan's tech, Wade I think (I apologize if it wasn't), went through everything and found some parts that needed replaced. I told them to please change them. They don't even charge labor for changing those parts. WHAT?!? Great people. Anyways, they got me back on the road in record time with great quality work. I met Dan when I picked my truck up and he is a super nice guy. The kind of guy you wouldn't mind hanging out with. If you ever need anything done to your vehicle and are close to Mesa, take it to Menard Auto Repair! Dan still believes that his word is his bond. He doesn't try to gouge to on prices and find hidden items that need done just to get more money! If you want good quality and honest people, take it to Menard Auto Repair. If you want the same old song and dance, getting ripped off at every turn and no follow-up, take your vehicle to a dealership. Thank you Dan and Wade. Last two times were different, however, Reoccurring problems and repeat trips to make basic things right on my 1964 Ford Fairlane Sports Coupe and my 1956 Chevy 210 just didn't work out. I had to source another tech to make them right. The final straw was an arrogant and unnecessary comment by their service manager. Not once, but on two occasions. I won't stand for that type of behavior from anyone. So I am done with them and have moved on. I wish them the best to fix their revolving door of mechanics, sky high prices, and poor customer service from the front desk.
