I was confused until I entered the air conditioned mall area and saw that it was a food booth. Parking is plentiful in the strip mall lot. The takeout is pretty typical. Ginger beef, sweet & sour pork, that kind of stuff. Pricing is a bit high compared to the competition (Kent's, Chong Lee, T&T) but oh well. Quality was half decent but nothing special. I have been here for the last 3 months. The variety of choices here have been amazing. A lot of mixed vegetables and tofu, also broccoli beef, lemon chicken etc. The service was quick and menu price were clear cut. I just found out that they also served bubble tea so I bought the matcha flavours this time. The foods were mouthwatering and the drink was refreshing. Cashiers and servers were friendly and helpful. A typical food court style Chinese food in Champlain Heights. It's good for a quick and easy meal when you don't want to cook. Rice or noodles with choice of dishes. The food is mediocre or average. You don't come here for the quality. It is really just for the convenience. Bring your own bag. They charge $0.25 for paper bag. I'm glad they ask you and state the cost upfront. It is relatively affordable in 2023 when everything is so expensive. The flat rice noodle beef with 2 entrees is $11.50 after tax. I was in line for food and there was an Enders man behind me. He asked for beef and broccol. They are know for their big portions. I did not care What I got in terms of portion. I knew this was where your main fish/ meat entree goes . well I this young man look at each piece of stalk he put in was like gold. yes he put this 5 inch Salk with it. I was beside myself as he is putting in one stalk at ( no beef yet and almost done). as I say that the nice boy put two tiny bits on meat on top. I was applauding, he may of had 6 stalks and no beef. so I say, Cmon give home some beef, yea beef. and the this voice came in yelling "if you want beef go across and get beef!). I said yes I am aware. He screamed this. I am 60 yr old cool gramma and I step in when I see someone get ripped off especially Older folks. I know the stalk is worth nothin so this gentleman was getting ripped off. I was NOT buying my dinner at your establishment and I was in line to as for the email and phone number. Service is great, servers are friendly. Quality of the food has slipped recently. I've lived nearby for 20 years and order from there occasionally. The singapore style noodles were drier than normal for dry noodles. Sitting around for too long, perhaps. The broccoli is soft, not crisp. The food is overall great i usually get chow mein and lemon chicken but recently i ordered the lemon chicken and it tasted so bad i had to throw it out. It was a new batch as well and i was suprised by the taste and it made me lose my appetite. Sometimes the service is not great because its usually busy and people are rushing to get orders and what not but food quality has honestly went down and i get inflation but its disappointing. I used to love this place. But lately it's been terrible. Sadly won't be going back.Everything was soooo bland. Sweet n sour was dry and cold! Gross. Rice was sooo plain. Like plain white rice. Veggies tastes like they had zero seasoning as well. Won ton was as plain. Needed way too much soy sauce to eat it. Cheap cheap cheap. Probably should be three stars instead of two, but I'm giving it two because of them cheaping-out on the prawns. Maybe this is a recent development, not sure. I've frequented this place (in Champlain Square mall) for over a decade, but mostly for single-item orders and not the 3-item combo. At any rate, I recently ordered the combo and the main dude (youngish guy) behind the counter undid the work of the person who initially served me by removing prawns from my takeout container, until there were only 5 pieces left. While I understand that prawns are more expensive than, say tofu or zucchini, customers are already paying extra for the seafood (a surcharge), so one should expect to get a decent amount. As it turns out, they will give you like 5 pieces, and charge you extra as well. Tacky act to remove stuff in front of the customer like that. Will likely not go back. read more

When we started coming the food was outstanding. Excellent spicy prawns and ginger beef. The last couple of times the quantity has deteriorated. The prawns were not spicy and tasteless and the ginger beef was not as goose. I called to have them address this issue. I went there around 1330 on weekends with my partner. Got 5 different items with rice and noodles. Every single item tasted like sitting there since opening- left overs. All fried items like sweet and sour pork and ginger beef was 70% dough and 30% meat. I am sorry but even closed Buddha Express in Broadway station had better food than here. If you want fake (western) Chinese food, then this place is legit. Compared to mall Chinese food like Manchu Wok, this restaurant is a no brainer. Good value and the taste is good. Try the lemon chicken, you will be pleasantly surprised. Very crispy and tasty. It may even taste better without the lemon sauce. I recommended this restaurant (if you want fake Chinese). When we first started going to this place the food was excellent the quantities were good And the food was fresh.Lately we have noticed that the dishes have increased onions and peppers and less meat In, for example, the sweet-and-sour pork. If you ask for more you get charged extra.As well we noticed that the coating on the chicken is thicker and therefore Resulting in less meat and a less flavourful palatable result. Please increase the value for the customer by improving the quality and quantity if you need to raise your price a bit then that's what you should do but you will lose customers if this trend continues. read more

I don't know if it's because of what I ordered but the food I had was terrible. I ordered a two item combo with the chowmein noodles - no flavor, just bland thin noodles with sprouts. My two items I choose were the sesame chicken and the spicy salty breaded fish. The sesame chicken was too chewy and dry, like it was made the day before. The spicy salty fish was good but I've definitely had better. My meal with a bottle of water came to around $8... I ended up throwing out half the meal because I truly could not eat it. I should've followed my intuition that this random food court Chinese spot in Champlain square would be a total flop. Lesson learned! Let's just hope I don't have problems at the toilet!! read more

Cheap, clean fast food. I like this place. I agree that it's not traditional Chinese, but they do a fair good job at creating food for this family-oriented neighbourhood. The place usually has a big line-up when I occasionally stop on my way home from work. For ONLY $12, I get two large dinner takeout containers filled to the brim. Enough for a huge, mixed dinner for the two of us. They are surprisingly consistent with their recipes and food quality. Consistently OK. I like the veggie dishes and the salt-pepper sole (fish) the best - very fresh and perfectly cooked. The other dishes are just okay but everything is prepared fresh. Good value for the money, IMO. Then there's the inconsistent generosity and moods of the servers. Some are super friendly, others are super generous. It's sort of a coin toss what you'll get in terms of an extra spoon of food and/or a smile -- or not. For me, it's part of the charm of the place. If you can overlook a little under-seasoning in the fried rice and beef chow fun, a bit of small bone left in the boneless pepper chicken, slightly overcooked pork in sweet and sour sauce, and the luck of draw service experience, then you just might find the value and convenience as appealing as I do. read more

Great value, big portions. Not the best food but edible and filling. After a couple of visits at lunch time I have come to appreciate this place. There are lots of options to choose from. Some dishes are hit and miss. The Singapore noodles, a favourite of mine, was light on ingredients other than noodles. The taste was good but not great. Most of the "salt and pepper" items like salt and pepper squid, salt and pepper prawns and salt and pepper fish seemed under cooked on the outside. It had a doughy, raw quality to the outer coating. Nothing was good enough to say you have to try this. For the money it is a good value and the portions are good. read more
