For the price - it is quite good! I appreciated the quantity and quality of the food. It's perfect for families and friends - just grabbing a nice meal together. Service is kind and prompt, thank you all so much. I think my favorite dish from here is the eggplant. You can take left overs to go and make a fusion of your own by adding more rice or your own favorite Asian broth! I've been so blessed to come here with my friend MK unnie. God bless you all+

This Shanghainese noodle was very good.

So we forgot about this restaurant and then this came up on an Instagram ad. It looked so good on the ad so we went to try it. Let's just say their advertising is better than their food. Their pan fried buns which are featured was just grease balls. So oily and not delicious couldn't even finish one. Their Shanghai noodle was good. Their pan fried onion cake was not authentic. I don't even know what that was. I ordered string beans and they brought out a heavily sauced dish with eggplants. The restaurant had a very unappetizing pink wall color. I love Shanghainese food. But this isn't it. So disappointed. Service was alright.

We did a birthday dinner here. My friend spoke Chinese, so we ordered with less oil, not too salty, no MSG, no tapioca starch in the soup or stir fry, etc. I am sure they loved us picky eaters. Well the food came out and it was very healthy tasting. The customized our order to be more healthy. We had a great time. There were 3 servers. The older lady was kind of mean, slammed my tea on the table. The other two servers were very nice and kind. Their hot tea was really good. The place got pretty busy and full. Show up closer to 5pm to get a table.

Staple taiwanese dishes are my comfort food, but the braised pork belly didn't taste as good as it did before. The other dishes also seemed like a miss this time except for the green bean with pork and spicy beef noodle. - Crispy Seaweed Fish: the crisp was nice and the seaweed was fragrant, but it seems the flavor is easily masked by the heavier flavors of other dishes. - Cumin Lamb: the lamb was waaay too fatty. Every bite was too soft and chewy, or it would have a tendon or something tough in it. I was expecting a slightly more dry/lean cut. - Braised Pork w Preserved Vegetables: this dish in general is one that I always look to since I love fatty pork, BUT, this one was too dry. I tried to remedy it with the sauce underneath but it didn't help much. Will say it's still tasty though. There was too much preserved veggies. Service was good except they swipe the card and kinda hover while you fill in the tip. Restaurant was clean, with some simple art and phrases decor.

My fiancé and I love coming here. The juicy pan fried buns and sautéed snake gourd with dried mini shrimp are our favorites. The food comes out quickly expect for a 20 min wait for the buns, but those buns are worth it! This place is always relatively busy but we never have to wait more than 20 minutes.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, I don't know why Tasty Noodle House doesn't have a higher Yelp rating. This is one of our regular Chinese restaurants. Their dumplings are always good (order steamed/boiled ones if you don't want their super oily grilled pork buns or potstickers0. Other faves are their preserved vegetables and fish noodle soup, black pepper seafood rice cakes, Shanghai style chow mein, and spicy fish with tofu on rice. Prices are pretty reasonable. The only reason why I don't give it five stars is because the food can be very greasy.

Easy parking + no wait time + okay service. We got the XLBs and spicy pork noodle soup. The skin of the XLBs were a little thick, but both dishes were good.

Came here on a whim, but loved every dish that we ordered. Service is fast and your food comes out even faster. While the interior isn't strongly decorated the atmosphere is still pretty warm and friendly. The xiao long bao has a thin dumpling skin, which makes the soup in the meat filling much more satisfying to bite into and the stir fried green beans, according to my mom, are very true to the original dish. The pricing for the food is reasonable as well. 10/10 would come again.

Located in the same shopping center off of Culver Drive with their sister location, Tasty Garden. This authentic Chinese restaurant serves delicious noodle dishes. The string beans with eggplant was a great choice! I recommend menu number 42. Beef Brisket Noodle Soup / Lo Mein. Savory noodle dishes with soft beef brisket chunks, carrots and potatoes. The pineapple fried rice was another great option. Our favorite item was the number 11 grilled pork dumplings.

Establishment is cozy, clean and laidback. Staff was professional and courteous. The menu is varied. We ordered the #11 Shanghai Grilled Pork Bun, #25 pumpkin pancake, #34 spicy cucumber salad, #26 spicy marinated mix, and #29 roasted pomfret. The pork bun was fluffy with a crispy bottom and a juicy interior. The pumpkin pancake was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, like rice cake. The roasted pomfret was also quite good, slightly sweet. TLDR: Excellent service, excellent food, excellent establishment, great value. Would recommend!

Our initial plan was to go to Din Tai Fung but the wait was too long! We have a tasty noodle house in San Diego so we decided to check this one out since it wasn't on the way home from Anaheim. Best decision ever. It was busy but no wait for our big group of 6, thankfully. Everything we tried was great! No complaints. The food came out super fast too!!! And not to mention we spent less money than trying to go to our original spot. Honestly, this location seemed better than our SD location.

Great place for fast, authentic Chinese food for lunch. Staff were welcoming and nice. Ambiance is casual and bright.

Free plaza parking. Located in between CVS and Panda Express. We were a party of 8, we were able to make reservations and were seated on time. You can fit probably two more people at the ends but it would be tight and the table would not be able to hold lots of food plates unless they joined another table. Shang hai pork buns takes 20-25 minutes to prepare. They were decent but so many other carb options to choose from. Shanghainese style cuisine. We tried the wonton soup (soup itself was very mild and comforting, the wonton has thicker skin and tasty fillings), shanghai style chow mein noodles (great, had a charred complex taste, well cooked), pan fried string beans (well cooked, crunchy and gleaming with oil), A-choy sautéed and stir fried with garlic (my favorite dish so far!- I couldn't stop eating it, crunchy oily and perfectly flavorful- I could eat it all day and maximize my greens intake). We also ordered roasted pomfrets (totally not a fan and can do without). Same with the spicy marinated mix, didn't love it and had a peppercorn numbing effect afterwards. There are soo many delicious options. I can't wait to come back to try the other items on the menu. They also offer dim sum dishes. Overall great meal, service is quick. Great spot for Shanghainese deliciousness!

It's about time I reviewed them! My number one dish goes to the minced pork rice- it's a pretty simple dish, but it's sooo good here for some reason. I've ordered this dish at other Taiwanese restaurants and nothing compares to the one at A&J- the pork is always SO flavorful, never dry and enough to coat all the rice, the egg is perfection, and all the little garnishes compliment the dish so well. It's also just as amazing takeout which I always appreciate. Other go-tos are the spicy beef noodle soup- the beef in it is always so tender and I love getting the thick noodle option because of the rough texture it adds. Beef roll and pan fried dumplings are always a good option for sharing. Have tried a lot of things on their menu and nothing so far has disappointed!

This has long been our go-to for Taiwanese comfort food, and while the flavors weren't always 100% authentic, they hit the spot. However, our recent visits have been disappointing. The restaurant has become incredibly "penny-pinching" with their service. I was recently told there would be a $1 charge just for a sprinkle of scallions and another $1 for a small side of clear broth for my dry noodles--requests that were never an issue before. Furthermore, when we ordered extra noodles for my son's beef noodle soup, the original portion seemed intentionally smaller, defeating the purpose of paying for the add-on. Between the degraded service and the "nickel-and-diming" atmosphere, it is no longer worth the 30-minute drive. The vibe has changed, and the pleasure of dining here is gone.

What happened tonight at this restaurant was genuinely concerning and honestly unacceptable…read more We came here for Mother's Day dinner and immediately had a poor experience with service. After being seated, we waited over 10 minutes before we could finally wave someone down just to be greeted and offered water. The more serious issue, however, involved food safety. My younger sister has a severe, life-threatening nut allergy. We ordered several dishes for our family, and one of the soups we received contained peanuts despite there being absolutely no disclosure of peanuts on the menu. At a restaurant where nut usage is apparently common, that is extremely dangerous. Thankfully, my sister was cautious and did not eat any of it because she was worried about cross-contamination. After we raised concerns, we were told that the dishes we ordered "should not" contain nuts and that the chefs wash their utensils and woks after each dish. However, we also learned they reuse the same cooking oil between dishes. If peanut-containing dishes are cooked using that oil and the oil is recycled back into the same supply, there is still a major cross-contamination risk regardless of whether the utensils are washed. What made this worse was the manager's response. Instead of acknowledging the seriousness of undisclosed peanuts and shared cooking oil, my sister was blamed for "not mentioning her allergy," even though a different employee took our order and the menu itself failed to disclose peanuts in the soup. Food allergies are not preferences. For some people, this is literally life or death. Restaurants that use peanuts or peanut oil -- especially with shared oil systems -- should clearly disclose ingredients and properly train staff on allergy safety and cross-contamination. This situation could have gone very differently for another family.

Passion fruit green tea and this was definitely my favorite thing I ordered that day the drink was so light, refreshing, flavorful, but not too sweet the passion fruit seeds being in the drink was annoying though. (4/5) Spicy XLB they came out quick but I wished they were hotter they were just warm but delicious flavor and filling sadly was not spicy though no kick no heat at all. (3/5) Beef rolls nice and crispy lots of scallions and the cucumbers added a nice fresh aspect and crunch but needed more sauce. (3/5) Pan fried dumplings took the longest to come out were crispy but not that flavorful again very filling though. (2/5) Golden prime beef noodle soup I'm sorry but this was just not for my taste at all I can't even describe what flavor the soup was something I have never had before very unique. The noodles were nice and chewy but again I'm expecting soup to be hot but it just came out warm. I ordered too much and the leftover beef rolls and pan fried dumplings reheated well in the air fryer.
