Yum! Indoor and outdoor seating is available. The restaurant is clean and organized. No servers here, place your order at the counter and seat yourself. Employees are friendly, helpful, and quick. Our order was neatly wrapped. Tried their Kabob Platter, which was delicious! They also offer Wraps, Kabob Box, and Veggie Plate. Proteins include Chicken, Lamb, Chicken & Lamb, Meatball (on selected days), and Chicken Mushrooms. Sides include Chickpeas, Spinach, Potatoes, Okra, Side Salad, and Pita Bread. The meats were incredibly flavorful and the sides were all seasoned well. Nothing was overly spicy or salty. The rice was also fluffy and aromatic. They are generous with the portions, which is greatly appreciated. Cups, water, fountain drinks, napkins, plastic silverware are within reach. Restrooms in the back are clean. Can't wait to come back.

The food was delicious! The chicken was moist and the white sauce was to die for!! Place was very clean and easy to order up front (chipotle style). Fast service. Def would go back and try the lamb

If you love fast casual halal, @tastykabob has amazing lamb gyros! The baklava was very delicious and it is a cute spot to grab lunch! 1624 Boro Pl, Tysons, VA 22102

The food was fresh and served quickly. The service was great it was only one person at the time but they were attentive to the ordering station while prepping for dinner. The space was clean and quiet. Would def go again before watching a movie at Showplace Icon!

Props to the guy who was working all by himself when it was busy time Finally got a chance to check this spot out and it's pretty good! They give you generous portion sizes and the meat is delicious. They have different sides to choose from and different sauces to top off. I went with the chick peas and spinach - both were good. I think overall the sides are a little bland. They could have a little more flavor to them. The meat definitely makes it worth it. Will probably come back! Perfect quick meal before the movies!

I can't believe I never knew this place existed. I love halal food and there is one in the Boro!! The service was great - in & out very quickly and the food was prepared neatly. I got the "Box" with rice and got both chicken and lamb. The chicken was slightly dry but they drench the platter with the white sauce. The white sauce had some dill taste to it l, which was interesting. I wish I got more of the red sauce - it was not spicy at all. It's a good option for a lunch spot if you work around there. The portions are a bit small compared to other places but definitely filled me up. Would highly recommend.

I used to get Tasty Kabob often and stopped by yesterday to be disappointed with this chicken?? What happened to the original orange recipe?

    Old menu prices

This was $15 bucks.... I'm Tyson's corner. It probably weighs about 3lbs and is delicious.

This review is given by my hubs, who have become this family's expert on Mediterranean food. He purchased the lamb and rice platter with potatoes and spinach as sides. He said that the lamb didn't taste gamey like the lamb that he has at most places. He said this restaurant's lamb tastes more like the lamb used in gyros. He also stated that the food was seasoned perfectly, and of meat given was a nice portion size.

A lovely place to get a good portion of great food! According to the Tasty Kabob website, They "...hit the road back in the fall of 2010 when founder's John & Steve Hanifi envisioned bringing their favorite meals from their home country of Afghanistan to the people of Washington, DC. Since then, the father and son team has expanded to a fleet of 5 Clean Green Tasty Machines." This particular location is 1 store away from the corner of Boro Place and Westpark Drive. There is street parking or a parking lot to the west with lots of parking. The inside is set up like most restaurants where you enter in a line at one side of a counter. You choose your base, meat, sides, drinks, and desserts as you move down the line. The staff was very helpful and friendly for a newbie like me. They filled up the container. I had enough for 3 meals. There is a mix of tables spread around the eating area that is to the left as you enter. The dining area and store were clean from tables to floor. The price was reasonable at about $15 for the food and $4 for drinks. The food was excellent. I got a gyro and it had a very good taste to it. This is a good choice for a meal in the area and I liked it so much I plan to visit again and look for their other locations.

Chicken and lamb gyro Combo platter on Pita (With 2 Sides)
    Jeremy N.

My food was tasty - I went with the gyro and chicken combo. Gyro meat was a bit fatty and grainy for my offer preference but delicious flavor. Chicken was pretty much perfect. I enjoyed the chick peas side and the bread with the spicy green sauce, the white sauce and the tzatziki sauce. All of the sauces were nice, but that green was fresher than some of my other favorite kabob places. Service depended on who I was talking to. The owner was cooking and serving and running the register. And he was personable, helpful and genuinely likable. The other guy seemed inexperienced and couldn't answer any questions, but he was at least capable of scooping food. Inside was typical fast casual atmosphere. Hard surfaces and industrial lighting. Not my favorite look, but it's appropriate for a kabob place open until midnight.

Yoooo!!! I was mad surprised after eating at this place! We were looking for a quick bite to eat before watching a movie, and we saw this place on the directory. We were curious and came in. The employee was very welcoming and helpful since it was our first time there. He let us sample a piece of the chicken and lamb... yo we were SOLD! Both meats were seasoned just right (not overly seasoned at all) and very tender. I got a chicken and lamb platter with rice, salad, spinach, and okra. It was REALLY good! The white sauce and hot sauce were surprisingly really good; they were not overpowering at all and definitely complimented the platter. There was actually a pretty good amount of food packed into the container. Will DEFINITELY be coming back again if I'm ever around the Boro again

I got the chicken and lamb combination with chickpeas and potatoes & baklava From the chicken, to the potatoes, everything tasted so good & freshly made. You first pick a base, pick proteins & two sides! The chicken and lamb were so flavorful & packed with just the right amount of spices. The chickpeas and potatoes are so soft & just melt in your mouth. They have meatless options and they are very generous with their portions. I highly recommend you try their baklava, it was so crispy and the best one I've ever tried! Also, I love the aesthetic of this place! they're open late as well if you're looking for a late night dinner! I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

We were planning to order dessert, but the kitchen had already closed. It would have been nice if our server had stopped by a few minutes earlier to let us know the kitchen was about to close and ask if we wanted to order anything else. Their proteins and fries are perfect, their salad is cold and crisp, and the execution of their rice is consistently the benchmark. First off though: the lighting is really harsh. It's Temu hexagonal 10000K bright white led honeycombs from blaze hell. The walls are primer black, and there are no paper towels in the bathrooms. Solution: I almost always get my food to-go. I flip flop between the Falafel Platter and the Mixed (Chicken + Lamb Gyro) Platter with the following no-charge mod: NO fries, MORE salad. This leaves the rice alone - you will get rice - and it is a very long grain, saffroned, Basmati rice that is distinctively al dente. Not fluffy or clumpy - they are highly separated and firm rice grains, and I absolutely love it this way. This rice blows the competition far and away. If you like fries, they are good - they're the double-fried "Burger King" style and keep their heat decently well in the to-go clamshell. The sauces are quite special. I like them all. I always ask for the following on-the-side (no zig-zags for me): the white (tahini-like), the green (cilantro), the red (spicy), the orange (signature Blazin spice). There are a couple of others, but I find these 4 create a nice balance. Oh and the late-night hours secure the 5-star rating. This can feel like the perfect late-night food - thanks to the owners for accommodating the late-night fans. Quickie review notes: The burger is just okay - the patty should be bigger. The Chopped Cheese is convincing, but not the best value item, IMO. The milkshakes are very tasty!

The floor buzzes with staff and families giving the whole dining room a lively energy. The group had a few picky eaters that got their own dishes, but for the cool kids we shared the Gilani Kebab platter which came with prawns, chicken, lamb; ya, a little bit of everything and was perfect for sharing. The grilled/charred flavor showed through on top of rice and fresh herbs. We also got the whole roasted branzino, cause, who's not up for the challenge. Served in a pistachio citrus sauce over rice, it was very lightly flavored and succulent. The Tahdig did not disappoint, perfectly crisped rice, beautiful color and good flavor! A few dings because the cocktails (and all the drinks) come out very slowly (bar is probably under-staffed) and everything need juuuuuust a little more omff flavor wise. I'm a huge fan of Persian cuisine and the DMV is no slouch here so color me spoiled. The bill is also on par with being neighbors with a Tiffany's; so if you can get your boss to treat you, then go in!!

They also took our dessert order but then my mom and I never got ours- but the waiter said he brought everything out (there was nothing served to us), and he did eventually bring it out about 25-30 min later when we were leaving. It seems like they bring around the meat selections speedily for about 30-45 min (it's like one immediately after the other) and then it's finished- so make sure you get the selections within those first 30-45 min.
