I have been looking for some really good lamb in the area and this place has definitely satisfied my craving. Highly recommend the spot for fall off the bone lamb and excellent food. The service is also wonderful and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant has a great ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This simple, home-style Yemeni restaurant offers a no-frills experience with quick service, though the staff lacks warmth. As a vegetarian, I found the menu limited to just three options: sambusa, lentil soup, and saltah. I tried the saltah, a mixed vegetable stew, which was decent but not extraordinary, and it came with a huge pita bread . My husband enjoyed the chicken kabsah--flavorful but missing the spicy kick that would elevate it. The maraq soup was good. Overall, it's not ideal for vegetarians, but if you're dining with meat-eaters, you'll have something to enjoy.

Love Yemeni food! So underrated! So flavorful and delicious! The bubbling fahsah was amazing with the delicious broth and tender meat. The bread perfect for sopping it all up! The haneeth was delicious the meat falls off the bone! A must try! The hummus was really good! I really liked it with the olives. The service was quick and staff were super nice! We were attended to really quickly, but we did go at a relatively quiet time during the day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has a small hole in the wall vibes, but the food is big on taste and flavor![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Saba is a small restaurant and had a steady stream of customers for the duration of our meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The wait staff was a little slow in providing bread refills but every dish was prepared care and seasoned well. There are not many vegetable forward dishes but if you're there for meat and rice, you'll be very pleased.

Incredible Yemeni cuisine and thoughtful service! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm so happy we stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant for lunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We actually ordered both the meat and veggie sambousa, but they disappeared before I could get a full shot of the dish. It was that delicious! The Lamb Mandi was so tender and the seasoning and salt were very well-balanced. To top lunch off with dessert, we had the Fatah dates with honey and it was perfect~ Not too sweet, and just right. Perfectly paired with a steaming cup of gingery Qishr coffee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of seating inside, though if you have a large party, you'll want to call ahead.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff made us feel very welcome and were kind to suggest the menu items we were unfamiliar with. Absolutely looking forward to coming back next time I visit the area!

A lot of tasty food at the restaurant, [[HIGHLIGHT]]though the restaurant felt crowded at times.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely want to come again.

This was an amazing place to try out! The restaurant is cozy with very friendly service. I came here with three other people and we came hungry! We order a beef, lamb, and chicken dish along with hummus. Everything was so flavorful, filling, and well cooked. We asked the server for their recommendations and they did not steer us wrong. We also had the baklava and fatah, which were also both amazing and recommended.

We ordered to-go here and they were super quick and packed up everything very neatly! We tried the lamb kabsah, which was around $27, so a bit on a pricier side, however, the quantity is enough for 4 people or 2 large meals for 2 people. So, it is definitely worth it! Adel was super helpful in giving us recommendations and explanations of what each dish was! We are so happy with his recommendation. The lamb kabsah was very flavorful and the meat was cooked perfectly! They even gave us some green sauce on the side because we asked for some more spice. Great option for a late night meal! We will definitely be back!

First time diners. Great place. We will go back. We loved the lamb. The chicken just fell off the bone. Rice was delicious. The hummus was heavier on the tahini and was really great. Service was fast and friendly. Really enjoyed our dinner out. TIP: So one main entree feeds 2 people very well. The patrons coming in here eat family style. So- if you are a party of 4, order one of the lamb entrees, and then maybe a chicken. Add a couple of appetizers. The desserts are large and meant to be split between 4 people. Eat family style. Hope that helps you order better. We didn't know that, and brought home a lot of leftovers!

And let's be honest, I was there to judge their famous Tahdig. The inside is beautiful, clad in dark green colors and velvet chairs, it's definitely going for a romantic dinner energy. The floor buzzes with staff and families giving the whole dining room a lively energy. The group had a few picky eaters that got their own dishes, but for the cool kids we shared the Gilani Kebab platter which came with prawns, chicken, lamb; ya, a little bit of everything and was perfect for sharing. The grilled/charred flavor showed through on top of rice and fresh herbs. We also got the whole roasted branzino, cause, who's not up for the challenge. Served in a pistachio citrus sauce over rice, it was very lightly flavored and succulent. The Tahdig did not disappoint, perfectly crisped rice, beautiful color and good flavor! A few dings because the cocktails (and all the drinks) come out very slowly (bar is probably under-staffed) and everything need juuuuuust a little more omff flavor wise. I'm a huge fan of Persian cuisine and the DMV is no slouch here so color me spoiled. The bill is also on par with being neighbors with a Tiffany's; so if you can get your boss to treat you, then go in!!

Going back to the food, it was poor from beginning to end. The grape leaves tasted worse or at least as bad as some canned grape leaves. It was not fresh, you could tell from the rice inside and the way the grape leaves broke when you bit into them. The fattoush salad didn't seem to have enough parsley and mint and it was most a lettuce salad. The adeni tea was plain weird. It didn't taste like tea at all. The kabsa felt like rice had been mixed with curry. I guess that's why the guy was asking how spicy we wanted it. Typically that is not a question when ordering kabsa. The lamb chops were not good either. The meat was tough, as was the meat for some of the other dishes. I first tried the assorted kebabs. Unfortunately, the chicken had dried out and the kofta felt too crumbly. The chicken rice dish had quite aromatic rice but underseasoned chicken; seasoned rice alone can't substitute bland chicken drumsticks. The lamb rice dish had both aromatic rice and juicy, well seasoned lamb. I ended up combining the lamb pieces with the chicken rice. Out of curiosity, I tried a piece of their fried chicken. It proved juicy and not too oily. It would do well as a standalone appetizer in most restaurants. I also tried something that looked like lasagna, but without tomato. It tasted, to my uncultured palate, like a lasagna with some sort of cream or bechamel-like sauce. I quite enjoyed it. For dessert, my friend convinced me to try what I had initially passed over as oatmeal or tapioca pudding. The Omi Ali proved quite delectable, like a cross between bread pudding and oatmeal but with more nuanced spices and sweetness. I added it to my short list of desserts I enjoy, since I don't have much of a sweet tooth. Overall, I appreciated the breath and variety. Some hits and misses are to be expected at a homely, ethnic neighborhood style buffet.
