Blown away by it all! Impeccable service, fantastic food and the setting was idealistic, even down to the bathrooms. Which is a feat considering they had only opened 2 weeks prior. You can tell they have put plenty of thought into even the finest details like the matching ramekin and mini silverware for the oysters and the tampons in the women's bathroom. (Much appreciated) Clearly not their first rodeo. We enjoyed dining on the outside patio and they are adding more to the backyard which seemed to be a bar and tree shaded patio. This place has it all already but I'm sure the best is yet to come! read more

From the moment you walk in, you feel so welcome. We sat at the bar (comfy bar chairs) and had Margaritas and the Ahi Tuna Tostadas... YUMMY also had the Summer Melon Salad, also YUMMY Then, I had the BEST Pina Colada since basking at a resort in Manzanillo MX Chelsea is a great bartender Highly recommend and will return! read more

Favorite place in Kyle / Buda. Great drinks and food. Brunch and Dinner! Definitely recommend for casual meal or fancy date night.

One of the best brunch places I have ever been the world over. The drinks are top notch. The alcohol selection is that of a fantastic bar. The seafood is about as good as anyone could expect being this far away from the ocean. The appetizers, main dishes and pairings are top notch. My only disappointment is that there are not more locations. read more

This is one of downtown Buda's finest. Make a reservation. First time experience with family in town was Excellent. Friendly & high quality service & excellent food. I was initially nervous to sit outside in the 7pm 90 degree heat - but the Fan Misters definitely made it comfortable for my seventy year old fam :) read more

Amazing atmosphere! The outdoor patio is the best is Buda. The food is delicious, but the menu is a bit limited.

I love that Buda now has another fun restaurant option in their quaint little town. As the name states, this new restaurant is located right off Main Street on the Buda downtown strip. My husband and I had reservations for dinner and glad we did, as the inside seating was incredibly packed. We were seated at a booth and the sound was extremely loud with larger parties nearby enjoying their meals. It was almost cafeteria-sounding with high pitched echos. At one point I couldn't even hear what my husband was saying across the table. If I had to give any feedback about the ambiance, I would say, if they could figure out a way to help with the sound/echos when the restaurant is full, that would make the experience a little more peaceful/elegant. The lighting could also use a slight dimming to give the space a more intimate/cocktail/wine bar vibe. The food was very tasty and our server Courtney B. was fantastic and attentive. She was the perfect amount of checking in and giving us space to enjoy our dinner. She was also knowledgeable about the menu, wine and cocktails, which I appreciate when dining out. You want to be properly served and feel like you are getting exactly what you are paying for and I definitely felt that with her level of insight and service. I will definitely return and try some other dishes, but maybe on a night that's a little less busy so I can hear my husband talk. LOL. Maybe I'm just getting old. read more

What an amazing little place!! Great food, ambiance, and service. And the pricing!! We had an appetizer, soup, bread (SO GOOD!), red fish special, and two deserts. Plus a cocktail. All for just over $100 including tip. I honestly don't understand the other reviews complaining about pricing as this was one of the most reasonably priced upscale meals we've had in months (and we frequent similar restaurants in Buda, San Marcos, and Wimberly). Every single dish was amazing. Well balanced flavors, good portion sizes (not too big, not too small), and beautifully plated. The ambiance out back at the "tree house" was also spectacular. Couple that with first class service that was supremely well paced and we were happy customers. Can't wait to come back! read more

Tried this place out for the first time recently and was impressed! Didn't know we had a steak and seafood place so close to us. Had oysters, pork belly tostadas, redfish, lobster, and some great desserts. Washed down by a nice bottle of wine suggested by our awesome waiter Joshua. Had a boisterous group next to us, but we're still able to enjoy conversation. We were there for a celebratory dinner, but will be back as often as we can. read more

I visited this spot on a Saturday afternoon, for a late lunch with a friend. We were sat immediately, but asked if we had a reservation. The hostess was professional and friendly. We sat at a table near the front window where I had a great view of the entire restaurant. It was decorated nicely, with a western theme and the ceilings had the embossed tiles which gave the place an upscale ambiance. Our server, Briana, was prompt and attentive. We ordered bloody marys and the fish and chips. The presentation was very nice and the food tasty. The fish was a little less firm than I usually like, but not bad. I plan to visit again soon! read more

Went to have a quick drink with a friend. I love Texas Keeper Cider and they had a flavor on their menu. To snack I got the Brussel sprouts and they were spicy and delicious! The service was kinda slow. Not sure if it has something to do with us sitting outside and not inside? However the treehouse area was nice and breezy (they had fans and misters). read more

Great menu. A little noisy the night we went. The service was so friendly and helpful. Food was great.

Nice place with delicious food and drinks. Highly recommend! Also, the outside by the trees is so pretty.

New restaurant in Buda. Service was Excellent!! Ambiance - was ok but only be a we sat where we could see the kitchen and the area was just busy. Food was good. The prices are high but, it is a fancier menu so I understand. I just wasn't super thrilled about the food. Newly opened so look forward to going back and trying another dish. read more

Food and the service was excellent. Oysters were fantastic. If you like seafood, and you're in Buda, this is place to be.

The loaded fries and shrimp/grits on their brunch menu was amazing. Friendly service with a really great atmosphere

This place was really good! Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures but my boyfriend and I met up with a couple friends for their Tuesday house margarita special! The margaritas were SOOO good. If I wasn't driving and it wasn't a Tuesday - I would've had so many lol I had a wedge salad and their seasonal ceviche, both were fantastic! I love a good wedge salad and the ceviche was good, pretty small but very tasty and pretty filling. The only reason I put four stars is because my boyfriend ordered a burger and the server completely forgot to put it in so he was picking off my plate but while the rest of us were eating he didn't have his food and then we finally asked her about it and she had forgotten to put it in... by the time he got it we were all finished eating and she didn't even offer a discount or a little appetizer for him or anything for the mess up. The burger ended up being good so it was fine but just unfortunate. That's truly the only reason I gave this review a four because otherwise, the food was amazing, the layout of the restaurant is very pretty and cozy and they even have a really cool treehouse outside apparently. On less gloomy day, I will definitely be checking that out! read more

We have visited the restaurant once a week for the past few weeks, and we have sampled most of the dishes. As much as we want to love this place, it's just not that good. Pro's -great $6 frozen margaritas on Tuesday -great sourdough and plain butter (the paprika butter isn't to our liking -sauteed gulf shrimp -friendly, helpful wait staff -fried Brussels sprouts (even though the last time it was off) Con's -everything else -don't order fish appetizers, one of their mainstays. Multiple times we received old/un-fresh ceviche, tartare, tuna. -don't order salmon, as that is also super fishy/frozen tasting -don't order steak tartare - gamey and tasted off -don't order pork belly tostadas - only flavor is sweet -don't order shrimp cocktail - 5 puny shrimps served on a bed of iceberg lettuce -don't order gnocchi primavera - overwhelmingly herbaceous -don't order smash burger - burned and tasted like rye for some reason -don't order Mac and cheese - the panko is funky -don't order specials (whether seasonal ceviche, fried tuna?, or seasonal veggies) - read more

I dined here recently and had a wonderful experience. The greeting staff was friendly and efficient. Our waiter was very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and offered recommendations if requested. The menu have a very nice variety and the portions were very generous. I also liked that the sides were optional and a nice variety as well My steak was very tender, perfectly prepared with exceptional flavor. We dined indoors due expected rain but the outdoor dining area looked great I will definitely come back. There are a number of menu items I can't wait to try. It is a place I highly recommend! read more

Taste on Main - Blackened redfish served on a bed of rice. - Seafood Near Me - Buda, Texas

To be fair, all I tried were the basics: Caesar salad, 16oz ribeye, steak fries, and garlic mashed potatoes. I did not try any of the steak sauces, wanting to see if the $48 steak could stand on its own. It does not. Just bland. No crust to it, no flavor, not particularly thick cut for a one-pound piece of meat. It was cooked correctly, and it did not taste bad. It came garnished with garlic, which added some taste when mashed and spread across the meat. But it didn't taste like $50. Fries had a strange flavor that was decidedly not what French fries are supposed to taste like. Almost like the frying oil had been tainted by seafood, giving them a fishy taste. The salad was unremarkable. Skimped a bit on the dressing so there wasn't much flavor to the lettuce. The smashed potatoes were good! Nice butter and garlic flavor. And the Old Fashioned with Rye was pretty darn good. I had... well, I had a lot of them. Very well done. Next time I should be a little more adventurous in my selections, because they had some good looking dishes on the menu. They'll keep getting better and keep trying new methods and the quality and consistency will follow. Until then, they may want to relax those steep prices. read more

We were in Buda for the 4th of July celebrations and discovered that the place we'd planned to dine was closed. Then we saw "Taste on Main" and tried it out. The first thing that struck we were the prices - while not outrageous, they were a bit more than we expected. Our experience was foreshadowed when the waiter, a nice enough fellow, offered us lemons for our water. We got the thinnest sliver of a lemon wedge I've ever seen. Not enough to actually squeeze lemon juice out of, though technically still "lemon". We both went for the daily special, a Chicken Parmesan dish with assorted greens and vegetables on top. The description sounded delicious. Nope. It was almost literally without flavor. The breading was dry and overcooked, I couldn't taste the cheese at all, the chicken was dry and devoid of taste, and the greens were just salad dumped on top... maybe spring mix? There were four tiny roasted tomatoes and the sauce I accidentally discovered off to the side under some greens. Barely enough to taste. I had to add salt to my meal, which I generally don't do, so that I could taste -something. These conditions were uniform for both of our meals, so it wasn't a fluke. No complaints about the ambiance or service, and perhaps the rest of the menu is great... the restaurant has plenty of good reviews. I doubt we will be back, though. read more
