The wine was good, and the tastings were generous and I know it is a wine bar but the day was really spoiled by not having a lunch there. I don't think I would go there again. If you do make sure they have a chef before you go if you want to eat.

The store is very dark, dusty, and not very welcoming. The staff member present continuously worked at the counter, not looking up and did not offer assistance. It felt strange that they only acknowledged us when we inquired about the wine tasting on arrival. I will not be patronizing or attending any events here, very disappointing. The vibe has consistently felt unwelcoming and, at times, almost dismissive. After experiencing it more than once, it's hard to chalk it up to someone simply having an off day. On the flip side, I did have dinner here once, and that was a genuinely lovely experience. I wish that same warmth carried over to the wine bar/shop experience, because I really wanted this to be a neighborhood spot I'd return to regularly. They also have a very bad fly problem on the back patio and it makes it uncomfortable and annoying to sit out there.

There was also a corner that hosted a live band. When we arrived, no one was playing yet. The crowd seemed to be more of the younger hipster vibe. A completely different crowd from the LA scenes. Getting a drink wasn't that bad even though it was busy. I happened to get lucky when someone moved from the bar stool for me to approach. I was a little surprised when the wine I ordered was in a box...lol... I mean, it was whatever. Some options were for a glass only or for both a glass or bottle. But when it came to checking out, tipping options went from 20 25 percent to 30 percent. Wasn't used to that as an option as it's not like you're dinning in. Anyway, the surprise was when we walked out and seen that they had a massive back patio. It was hard finding a seat as it was packed. There was also a food trunk on deck but wasn't sure what they were serving. We noticed people with hotdogs and someone with a box of pizza. Not sure if it's from the vendor or if you're allowed outside food in. The vibe was fun, the crowd was lively and everyone there for a good time. It's more of a younger scene.
