Definitely my favorite Indian place in all of MA - it's beautiful, service is top tier (especially Ravi), food is flawless. I've been here a handful of times and hope to return as many times as I can! Worth every penny. read more

Great place! Proper cocktail bar, nice ambiance, and classic dishes executed well and presented in an elegant way. Will be back before long

I was finally able to try out this new restaurant that opened awhile back. The ambiance is wonderful and the staff were amazing. all of the food was beyond delicious! I had the chicken tika masala and my friend had the salmon, both were fantastic! I also had an old fashion and not only was it one of the best I've had, the presentation was over the top. This is a must try for everyone. read more

Wow. I can't believe people wrote about how good the service is here. The least compassionate behavior to the point of berating I have ever experienced from a restaurant owner. My son was about to go #3 in his pants due to IBS and thankfully ran into an empty restaurant restroom (coming through the lobby side) at 5pm. I prayed thanks to the gods for this. I was incredibly thankful that a kind gentleman who was working there was compassionate to our obviously desperate situation. As my son was finishing up and getting out, a woman (who appeared to be the owner) walks up to me with her children in tow, proceeded to berate me on an on (despite my attempts to apologize, and offering to order something for take out) about restaurant policy. I've eaten at plenty of restaurants before and know proper restaurant policy and protocol. As a woman her 40s, I have not been talked down to (berated to) like that in decades. She went as far to ask me who the man was who allowed this to happen and went to go look for him. Wow. Just wow. Especially as a mother herself to have no compassion! Please don't support business owners like this. read more

Went with work (13 people) and they took care of us! They suggested (maybe 8 or 9?) starters and 7 main dishes, which was plenty of food without waste. The biryani loaf was fun: it looked like a bread pan- with a "lid" of wheat naan. The sauces were flavorful. The food was well prepared. The service was excellent. And they accepted a same day (only 1.5 hours ahead of time) reservation on a Tuesday. I would definitely return and recommend. read more

Amazing food and service! The staff went above and beyond to entertain my 3 year old daughter. We had a great time and will be back soon

Super yummy. Wish the menu had more photos. Got three orders of the chicken tikka masala because I am not familiar enough with the names of the other dishes. We enjoyed every last drop. The baby eggplant, rice, raita, and naan were delicious too. The delivery was quick and the order accurate. Will order again soon. read more

Excellent choice of menu. We were party of 8 and service was really fast. My highlights were Tandoori Prawns. Plating was really nice. read more

Price is definitely up there, but the food and service make it totally worth a special visit. We went there tonight with my son and daughter in-law who are visiting from Dallas. Food was extraordinary!!! Drinks were marvelous. And a very attentive and professional staff! Will definitely be back for another visit!!!! read more

Tashan is a great date night place if you like Indian food. The variety of food is diverse and selections are very good. The food is very tasty with an upscale vibe. The service was on point. The waiters and the hosts were very helpful and nice which enhances the upscale experience. We got a lot of food, for appetizers we got the Vada Pav, Katori Chaat, Galouti Kabab, Mulayom Kabab and coconut drink. The quality of food is excellent overall but the mulayom kabab was a tad dry and the knock out dish was Katori chaat. I did not like the drink but my wife enjoyed it. For the main course murg rajwadi, the chicken biryani and naan. All the entrees were spot on and wonderful on the palate. read more

Food: We ordered Saag Gosht, Tikka Masala and Garlic Nann. The dished came with rice but we like to dip with nann. Food tasted rich but not overwhelmed by the spices. The dessert nawasi perfectly wrapped up our night. Service: Chef came couple times to check with customers and the owner is extremely friendly and knowledgeable for the menu. She will give the best recommendation according to your favor. Last but not the least, the servers frequently check for water and food. The environment is nice and neat. Overall, I will definitely come back for buffet which served only weekend from 11am-2pm. read more

I was so excited to try authentic Indian cuisine for the first time and Tashan did not disappoint! Great atmosphere from the moment we walked through the door. Everyone was very welcoming and accommodating. I got the specialty old fashioned that had the coolest presentation in a smoke box. The food was delicious and there was so much of it! We had the prawn and lamb appetizers, and the Cornish hen and cod main dishes with a side of naan and ended the evening with the passion berry dessert. We're already looking forward to our next visit! read more

Best indian food i've ever had! The service was excellent and the ambiance is beautiful:)

Reservation process is not good. Good- nice new choices and very well done. The bummer is kofta which is dry as a bone and seriously the dessert makes me never want to go back it is so bad. Always have same and it is super sweet. Rasmalai should be called Ras milk as hardly a malai. Overall not sure if worth the price for buffet. Gulabjamun too too sweet. No flavor. So much use of plastic cups for service. Recommend being little eco friendly. read more

I have to say this has to be a top and the most beautiful Indian restaurant in Boston! Lovely and upscale ambience. I would say it's more like modern innovative Indian American cuisine. Staff is very friendly! Service was spot on!! Food is really good and Tashan has put different twist on many dishes! My favorite Kurkure Aam Palak Chaat, Chaap-E-Khaas, Goat Cheese Kofta, Corn on the Cod are my favorite!! Cocktails are delightful and you must give them a shot!!! The bartender was cool and nice fast with drinks. Tashan delivers noteworthy, personable service along with most delicious food!! I will definitely recommend this place to anyone! It's a must!!!! read more

It was my first time at a Indian restaurant, the atmosphere was great, service was great, the owner came out to talk to us, we were there celebrating my son's birthday, both him and my daughter are vegetarian and the other 3 in the party were not , but they explained the menu to us , and we ordered per there suggested choices, I was afraid to try being Italian , no pasta lol .... Food was amazing we all enjoyed it and the nice part dishes were shareable , first time in my life that I didn't bring home leftovers, (except the lamb shank bone fir my dog) which she enjoyed also, so overall it was a great first experience and will go back again read more

Food was great, this was my second time here. However the attitude of one of the workers when we were about to leave made us feel uncomfortable. We came for the buffet and paid. We were getting ready to leave when someone came over to clean the table, we complimented the food and said it was great, this person responded with "oh it was great but you didn't even finish it?" Extremely unprofessional and I think they need to work on training their staff. My experience with everyone else was fine except this one person. This definitely is making me reconsider coming here again. read more

Its a good restaurant. We went for weekend buffet and it had good options. Although i am highly disappointed to learn they have only two high chairs for babies. We had to hold baby on couch/lap. Extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. read more

The food was excellent, but not exceptional. On the same level as the best Indian restaurants in the area. They had a very creative menu. The one thing that bothered me about our experience was that while the flavors and taste were delicious, our food was very bland, it has no spice/heat to it at all. It occurred to us after eating it, that the waiter did not ask us how mild or spicy we wanted our food. We asked the folks at the table next to us who we had been chatting with periodically throughout our meal, if their food was spicy. They said YES! They said the waiter asked how spicy they wanted it and they had a discussion of the heat level. We asked our waiter why he didn't ask us about the heat level and he said dished just come as they are--some are spicy, some are not, and that the waiters don't ask how spicy you want your food. Clearly that was a lie. Nearly every person eating in the restaurant was Indian. I am sure they asked those people about spice level. Also, the chef visited out table at the end of the meal. So we mentioned how the flavors were delicious but there was no spice or heat at all. He just deflected and made jokes and didn't respond to that comment. It was weird. Clearly they treated us differently because we were a table of 3 caucasian people. That left a bad taste in our mouth. We picked this restaurant because it got great reviews and when we walked in and saw nearly all Indian people, we thought that was a good sign! read more

Food, drinks, service and ambiance par excellence!!! The food is true representative of the North Indian food scene. So much flavor, well balanced spices - 100% on point!! Delightful evening at Tashan today! We chose Tashan to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were very happy with our drinks, enjoyed the appetizers, especially mouth watering lamb chops, followed by Jhinga Curry and Chicken Tikka Masala. Lacchedar Paranthas were irresistible. Thanks Vishal for a very enjoyable dinner. And the birthday dessert - which completed our celebration. read more

This place has great ambience. We went for their weekend buffet and the food is truly amazing. The best we've had in greater Boston so far. The kathi rolls, rabdi, chicken briyani was delicious. I also love how they post their weekly buffet menu on their Instagram page. read more

As someone who doesn't eat Indian food very often, I was a bit intimidated by the menu. I ordered the Masala and it was delicious.

This restaurant is some of the best service and food I have ever experienced, not just in the Indian cuisine category but in the general food category. I am an Indian kid who was raised here and doesn't enjoy eating indian food. I prefer Italian or French food but let me tell you the food that Tashan makes is top notch and the service matches the food. Something I find very important in a restaurant is the conversation, when music is too loud conversation can't happen but at Tashan, the music isn't loud and the atmosphere is very friendly which facilitates great conversation. read more

Is too pricey is one small beer ( taj ) is coast me 11 dollars but is not a fair price & lunch price is too expensive

Went to this place 2 times and was very disappointed. The first time I went at night time for dinner arpund 8:30ish... they refused to give me table saying they are fully booked when over half of the restaurant was empty and even if they had reservations for people who clearly didnt show up... atleast ask us if we would like to sit at the bar instead... The second time i called to make reservation since i figured they might be by reservations only and the lady on the phone said oh we are open you can come anytime... clearly thats not true because just showing up doesnt get you a table... The drinks were okish... we tried mango lassi ans nimbu soda and chilli sharbat... mango lassi was made using canned mango pulp and it was full of preservatives... nimbu soda didnt have any masala in it and it was just lime juice and soda... chilli sharbat was better than the other twp drinks... The appetizers were not that great either.... we tried cone papri, vada pav, aloo potli and gullistani kabob... vada pav was surprisingly sweet and everything else lacked flavors... The main course was good... specially maska paneer... veg kohlapuri and breads were again not that great... And the must try item is their phirni... amazing.. The two stars are for their maska paneer, phirni and serving staff specially Jay... Wont be going back though... read more

Okay, something has changed in Tashan's kitchen because the food has been exploding in flavor these days! We stopped going after several disappointing visits and this was when they first opened but boy has the kitchen bounced back! I'm guessing they have a new chef? My quest to find a good Lucknow style dum biryani in the Boston area has finally come to an end - this place has some really good dum biryani. From great drinks to good service to some really good food, this place has it all. We had the dum biryani, butter chicken, and the goat cheese koftas, which were extraordinary. It's definitely slightly pricier than most Indian restaurants in the area, but no more expensive than any other fine dining restaurant you would go to in the area. We had a great time at Tashan, and we'll definitely be back soon. read more

The experience has been incredible and the quality of food is great! The overall experience is infectious ! Keep it that way.

I went to Tashan restaurant to order takeout a couple of nights ago and ordered a few of my favorite dishes. However, I was so impressed with the team and how they welcomed me into the restaurant that I took my family to dine in there even if I had the leftovers In my fridge. I love the service, professionalism, and customer service. Manager " Jay" took his time to explain to my daughter, who is a very picky eater, and she ended up ordering two portions of the appetizers. Overall it was a great experience; the food was delicious, especially the Lamb Biryani. We are so lucky to have an authentic Indian restaurant nearby; I must admit that since I moved from London, this was one of the best Indian food I have tasted. Thank you to the team of Tashan Restaurant. read more
