It was so pleasant to sit outside in the patio enjoying a "Hugo Berry Spritz" from the Summer Cocktail specials while my daughter loved her Spicy Margarita! Well...fun concept for a place and I can see how it would be popular for groups. Different themed bar areas, some games, live music on given nights. Interesting local beer on tap and other local sourced drinks. The food however, was disappointing. Chicken and Waffles: waffles were incredibly sweet. Like dessert sweet. Made worse by hot honey topping and a sweet breading on the chicken. First bites were good but you get over sweeted pretty quick. OG chicken sandwich was so, so, dry. Same very sweet fried chicken, dry slaw that didn't add any flavor, a few pickles that helped a bit, but no real flavor. The chicken (on the waffles too) was hammered...fried till super dry. Comes with a side of potato chips but they weren't hot or seasoned. The big pretzel app was good. Beer cheese was ok, honey mustard was better. Sorry we didn't enjoy ourselves more. Very aesthetic place with a good menu/variety of offerings, but the service was subpar. We sat in the main area but were told we had to order food through the app and drinks at the bar. None of that really seemed clear so it was a little confusing/annoying to not be able to get everything all at once. We enjoyed some beer, prosecco, and steak and fries. Amazing set-up! Two breweries, a wine bar, a speakeasy and restaurant all in one spot! We were given the run-down when we arrived. One spot was for table service if you preferred but otherwise you go to the bar you choose and pick your poison. Then have a seat wherever, scan the QR code and order directly from your phone. It was late so we shared a beer and a delicious salad but I'm happy we ran out for a bite. Did I mention there is outdoor seating too?! Common Craft was absolutely amazing even as an adult who doesn't drink alcohol, I thoroughly enjoyed my time in "Lucy's Winery Room." The atmosphere was warm, elevated, and inviting. Michelle, the host, was incredible. She took the time to share the story behind the space and the different rooms, which made the experience feel even more special and personal. The QR code ordering system was super convenient (loved that!), and the staff overall was incredibly attentive. We had the Carolina wings, truffle fries, fish tacos, and my husband had a burger. Everything was delicious, but that homemade Carolina sauce and blue cheese? Game-changers. You can taste the care that goes into the food. While located in the mall, this place is one of the few non chain restaurants in the area. We came here for a casual hangout with 8 people, and even with a larger organized party going on, there was still enough space for our group. Personally I think the apps were better than the mains, and we really enjoyed the Mexican street corn dip, pretzel, and wings. I would pass on the vegetable dumplings as the "crispy" description felt more hard/stale texture vs. a satisfying crunch. The filling was also lackluster. We had an array of entrees ordered, but the hit seemed to be the chicken sandwich. A couple people ordered the short rib tacos, and mentioned one felt like enough. While our server was friendly, it was hard to get him to swing by. I know the place was busy and likely staffing issues, but we would see other servers hanging out on the side while ours was not to be seen. Even if he did swing by it was hard to ask any questions because he was clearly trying to move to the next table. We really liked this place. I was nervous it wouldn't be kid friendly but I was dead wrong it definitely was! We had an amazing server who was also the bartender, so friendly and extremely patient with our two little ones. Our food was great we got the short rib tacos and the potato flatbread in both were delicious. Vibe: Depends on where you sit, you can opt for sit down service or sit in the 'speakeasy' area and order using a QRs code. We sat in the speakeasy section which had funky, darker decor, bar, high tops, and couch areas. Service : The food came out fast, the bartenders quick Food: Overall good, but pretty average BBQ chicken flatbread: really good dough/crust, not your typical flavors, overall good would recommend. Hummus plate: Veg was a little dry, hummus and pitas good Elote dip: very tasty and good texture, chips slightly stale Fish tacos: interesting flavor of spices on the fish, tasted like maybe nutmeg mixed in, good texture of fish, tortilla fell apart, chips slightly stale Drinks: I got a berry infused gin cocktail, I really did not like it, this may be a taste issue, I lean towards sweeter mixed drinks that mask the taste of alcohol and this was very strong. We didn't get to the food tonight, we both had one beer and were insulted so many times by the manager, we canceled our order and left. The concept of a restaurant where you can bring your dog to sit outside is great but not worth the abuse we received. My friend was ordering and was having trouble ordering a gluten-free bun for a burger. There didn't seem to be a way to order gluten free from the QR Code menu, which is (we were told by the door gal) the only way you can order there. I went inside to grab us a couple beers and asked the young lady at the entrance why we couldn't order gluten-free from the menu. She said she didn't know, but would get the manager. The manager came over with a very bad attitude and said GF means gluten-free, you can see where it says gluten-free on the menu. Rude, not helpful. I made it clear that we could not see where GF options were given. I told her I have celiac disease and I understand what GF means. I understand what gluten-free means and it's typically pretty clear on a menu, but with this particular online menu, it was clearly not giving an option to select gluten-free. When ordering, the menu listed other allergens like onions and such, but nothing that gave you a gluten-free option. Apparently, you have to scroll down pages to find the gluten-free section and the dog food section. We were ordering from the main menu which is the first couple of pages as it is in most places. She came out to our table at some point, and asked if we actually meant to order three burgers. Yes we did, one gluten-free for me, one dog burger, and one regular burger for my friend. My friend said she understands now because one must scroll to the bottom of the menu pages, which is where the separate listings are for gluten-free and dog orders. The main menu is at the top of the pages, which is where we were looking and trying to order from. My friend asked, cant you just tell the Cook we want one GF burger, one dog burger, and one regular burger? The manager said absolutely not, you need to go in and order them. My friend said I've already ordered the burgers and paid for them. She said well QR codes aren't for everyone, (that was rude and not helpful). We're both over 60 so maybe she just thought we were QR Code idiots but my friend is actually a computer designer and creates QR codes. The menu seems to be a bad design in my opinion. People usually order from a menu or are given a separate gluten-free menu to order from. It's very unclear that you have to scroll several pages down to find the gluten-free menu and the dog menu. I told her I wasn't comfortable with everything that was going on, especially considering I have high sensitivity celiac disease. The manager then said, well you're number 26 so it's gonna be a while. I told her to cancel the order, she said no. I then said yes, you need to cancel the order my friend already paid for and make sure she isn't charged for it. I can't believe how rude this woman is. If you're looking for a fun place to go with friends this is your place. There's a speakeasy, there's beers, theres wines, there's games...basically your experience will be different each time depending on where you gravitate towards. When you first walk in you have two options, to either sit at a self-serve table in one of their many rooms, or enter into the restaurant. At the open tables, you can order food off of their QR codes and visit any bar. Being first timers, we opted for the restaurant. We started with the Rosemary-Garlic-Romano French fries. They were so good--perfect amount of crisp and I liked the cheese on top. The house ranch it came with was phenomenal. I also enjoyed the Crispy Chicken Three-Way Sandwich. It came with chips which weren't my favorite but they were good. My friend got the Grilled Chicken sandwich and she liked it. Portions are generous here too. We didn't get any of the drinks this time around but I'd love to come back to explore the different rooms. They even have a bottle shop outside if you wanted to bring drinks home. 2.5 stars. Good concept poor execution. For a no service place, food and drinks should be cheaper . There is no explainer to what is essentially an alcohol food hall with a kitchen . In the outdoor area or indoor areas there is nothing posted about how the concept works. It's only because I read online reviews I had any idea. They had 2 staff positioned near cocktail bar room but they did not seem to function as hosts. I came into outdoor area and from there you can scan a Qr code to order food. The food gets dropped off and that's the most service you get .strangely you can't do the same to order wine, beer or cocktails . You need to go to each of the 3 different attached lounge rooms on same floor to get each different beverage choice and bring them to wherever you are. You can't get a little flag (like some food courts do) to have your drinks and foods brought to you. You can't open a tab to keep ordering food or drinks. There was self serve water stations in interior not clearly labeled which we only found out about when our food was brought up and we asked food deliverer where to get water. The beer and wine selection was fine. I appreciated in wine room they allowed you to taste multiple options and you can create your own mini tasting with half glass pours. Price point was reasonable for wine quality . I didn't really check out cocktail selection as I found that bar area to not be clearly labeled and only figured out where it was as I was leaving . Food was ok. A mix of Americana. I had the Pat La Frieda hamburger which was cooked as order and tasty with good fries. $17 for a no service place seems very high. Also had the pretzel for appetizer which was a bit dense , lacking in salt and butter . accompanying cheese and mustard sauces not good. My lunch mate had fried chicken sandwich which had zero seasoning and was very underwhelming . I think this place seems very niche -it is aimed and ideal for large college aged groups who have varying preferred alcohol beverages who have hours to hang out. Strangely one part of the outdoor area had a huge number of parents and kids . Looked set up for kids to play . So I guess appealing for parents who want to grab a drink outside and have kids play . The way they've set it up, not only do you have to order your food and drink separately, but you only have the luxury of a human for the drink orders. For food, you order it yourself using scan codes for the menu and ordering, paying and tipping in advance via Toast and your credit card. You wanna order multiple courses? Separate payments. You have any questions? Lotsa luck. After the runner (I'm hesitant to use the term "server") drops off your food, if you have any problems? You're probably outta luck. And you already tipped. Foodwise, zero interaction with a human other than at drop off. Burger: Very pleased with the sandwich, which includes a premium blend of shortrib, brisket and chuck from Pat LaFrieda (rockstar meat supplier) of NYC. Thick, very juicy, and tasty. More from the grilling (think rich man's Whopper) than the beef, but beef, nicely melted cheese and flavorful condiments all worked very well. Bun a buttered/griddled brioche with a little white- bready feel/flavor but a decent enough version of that type. The beef was excellent, and overall, certainly good enough to go back--when I'm in the mood for the awkward service experience. Chips: The burger is priced such that you'd think it would include fries, but instead you get chips. Very crunchy, but a little long in the tooth. Food was actually pretty good, but the service was bad and the manager was worse. Order is placed in the app, so you don't have a waiter, just a food runner (when the food finally comes). The first thing brought out was our dessert ice cream. Our entrees were not brought out until several minutes later. Outdoors in July, the ice cream didn't last long. I wish I had known this before tipping 20%. I'm not sure who got that money! The food runner said there was nothing he could do, so I asked for a manager. She said because I ordered everything in the app at the same time it was on me. She didn't agree that common sense wouldn't didn't that we wanted our entrees and then the ice cream and offered no solution. By the time our entrees arrived, the ice cream predictably had melted. The food was actually pretty good, but for the manager to not make such a simple concession as to take the ice cream and bring it back later was such a big miss. So much to love about this place. They have good craft beers and even a wine lounge. It's located on the outside of the Burlington Mall. There is an outdoor patio and even some grassy space where I saw kids playing. You do have to go to the bar for your own beer but the food is delivered via an online ordering system. It's easy. You can the QR code and pick what you want. You pay on the app and the wait staff delivers. Because of that factor, your wait staff ends up more as food runners. You won't get the warm welcome and greeting. If you don't mind this, it's a great spot to grab a flight of beer and some snacks. Appetizers were very good. I was skeptical about the nachos using kettle chips but it worked well. Duck wings were delicious in a sweet and tangy sauce. Fries were done perfectly and smelled so good. I saw people getting the chicken sandwich and burgers. I had food envy. I'll be back to try those. Definitely worth visiting. read more

The restaurant looks nice but the service is poor. The hostess was very friendly but our waiter lacked a lot of attention. He took a while to get our drink order and then after that he disappeared for over 20 mins. He would walk past us multiple times and never stopped to take our food orders. The restaurant wasn't that busy either. What a let down. We tried to be patient but ended up frustrated. We drank our drinks and left. We went to another restaurant nearby which we're very glad we did. We booked this for my wife's surprise 40th birthday, and it was great! Really cool spot with various themed bars inside, an outside area (dogs and kids!) and they had live music on the Friday we were there. We had a good sized crowd so they basically gave us the run of one of the bar areas (we were in the wine bar). Table seating, couch seating and room to stand around. We ordered a big selection of various appetizers and everyone was very happy with the food. They had it all laid out and labeled nicely. Drinks were good, but you do have to travel bar to bar - wine at the wine bar, cocktails at the speakeasy, etc so grabbing a few drinks for others is a little more of a process - but I think this is better for a small group because you get that ambiance of whatever you're looking for. We're all pretty local and a fair amount of us had never been in before - but everyone was making plans to come back to hang out again. The first time I went here, I thought it was pretty neat. Very loud, but a neat concept. There's a central area and off of it are 4 bars. 2 serve only beer from 2 different breweries, 1 bar serves just wine, and the other is a pseudo "speakeasy" and serves just mixed drinks. It's a cute idea. You can find different areas to sit in. That main area gets super loud when it's full. The concrete just makes it impossible to have a conversation. I do like the wines. And I've tried their food - the edamame dumplings are excellent and their flatbread/pizza is good too. * But here's where my opinion changed. I recently held an event here. And to keep it brief, it's very overpriced. * For nearly 2 GRAND ($1,888.00) I held a 2-hour event on a Saturday evening. This did not include a room rental - instead we had a pseudo-roped off area in the middle of the place, where people kept walking by/through to get to the bathrooms. Nice. Also impeding upon our space was a giant wine cart (???). It looked cool but was not in use and just jutted into our space. What was really disappointing was the food. The Tuscany Antipasto was just - not great. For example, and I was so mad at this, one of the things served was a giant bowl of beans. I'm not joking. NO ONE touched them - I did try them and they were bland. Why - why on gods green earth would anyone want to eat plain beans at a social event? I know why - because it's cheap. A bowl of beans costs nothing but hey it's a giant bowl taking up space at your display so you must be getting your money's worth, right!? The other stuff was ok but not great. One of the cheeses was like a hard parm which was good but very strong and not the kind of cheese you'd nibble on - more like what you'd grate over pasta or a salad. I made a plate of stuff, tried 2 things, didn't like each and just set the plate down in disgust. The passed appetizers were the Meatball sliders (messy, COLD, but taste was good) and Edamame dumplings (these were good). The staff did work hard - there were 3 or 4 of them setting up that display of food. And we had a server pass out our apps and the manager did check in on me. And you might say "Why didn't you bring this up at the time?". My answer back would be "Why should I?" Why is it up to me to fix every place I go to? And do I really want to be seen complaining to the manager in front of my guests?? Also, as the host I was busy talking to every single person and didn't even try the spread of food until the end. Yes, I had the sliders when they were passed out and they were lukewarm at best. And this 2k deal didn't included drinks. Or a room. * If you are thinking of holding an event here, don't. Just show up, take over some chairs / space on your own, let everyone order off the menus so their food will be hot and good and you'll save yourself 2k.
