The first time I went here, I thought it was pretty neat. Very loud, but a neat concept. There's a central area and off of it are 4 bars. 2 serve only beer from 2 different breweries, 1 bar serves just wine, and the other is a pseudo "speakeasy" and serves just mixed drinks. It's a cute idea. You can find different areas to sit in. That main area gets super loud when it's full. The concrete just makes it impossible to have a conversation. I do like the wines. And I've tried their food - the edamame dumplings are excellent and their flatbread/pizza is good too. * But here's where my opinion changed. I recently held an event here. And to keep it brief, it's very overpriced. * For nearly 2 GRAND ($1,888.00) I held a 2-hour event on a Saturday evening. This did not include a room rental - instead we had a pseudo-roped off area in the middle of the place, where people kept walking by/through to get to the bathrooms. Nice. Also impeding upon our space was a giant wine cart (???). It looked cool but was not in use and just jutted into our space. What was really disappointing was the food. The Tuscany Antipasto was just - not great. For example, and I was so mad at this, one of the things served was a giant bowl of beans. I'm not joking. NO ONE touched them - I did try them and they were bland. Why - why on gods green earth would anyone want to eat plain beans at a social event? I know why - because it's cheap. A bowl of beans costs nothing but hey it's a giant bowl taking up space at your display so you must be getting your money's worth, right!? The other stuff was ok but not great. One of the cheeses was like a hard parm which was good but very strong and not the kind of cheese you'd nibble on - more like what you'd grate over pasta or a salad. I made a plate of stuff, tried 2 things, didn't like each and just set the plate down in disgust. The passed appetizers were the Meatball sliders (messy, COLD, but taste was good) and Edamame dumplings (these were good). The staff did work hard - there were 3 or 4 of them setting up that display of food. And we had a server pass out our apps and the manager did check in on me. And you might say "Why didn't you bring this up at the time?". My answer back would be "Why should I?" Why is it up to me to fix every place I go to? And do I really want to be seen complaining to the manager in front of my guests?? Also, as the host I was busy talking to every single person and didn't even try the spread of food until the end. Yes, I had the sliders when they were passed out and they were lukewarm at best. And this 2k deal didn't included drinks. Or a room. * If you are thinking of holding an event here, don't. Just show up, take over some chairs / space on your own, let everyone order off the menus so their food will be hot and good and you'll save yourself 2k. I am really regretting having my event here but lesson learned. read more

Common Craft is such a cool concept! Something for everyone, lots of open space, food, drinks and games. I've been a few times, and it's always fun to hang out in the afternoon, or dinner/drinks into the evening. The service is always welcoming at the door. The different areas (breweries, speakeasy, wine room) are fun to explore. The food is so easy and convenient to order, and everything has been great. We shared the charcuterie board last time, and it was a great selection. My one critique is the cocktails. The speakeasy menu sounds great, but lacks creativity and taste compared to some other restaurants in the area. I've tried a few different drinks, with the hope of really liking them, but have been underwhelmed. Other than that, it's such a fun place for a group of any size. It's 5 star potential! read more

Each decor somewhat strange, odd concept Speakeasy hardly so, weird decor and not traditional speakeasy decor, maybe the dim dark lighting makes them feel they can call it so, uncomfortable seating too. Room was freezing cold. Espresso martini was not good at all, I don't think the bartender knew how to make one...went to sit outside and try self ordering. Not a fan of the QR code ordering system. Our order wasn't going thru so we sat in the full service area. Also Couch outside was being taken by 3 people. They looked to have already eaten and had finished drinks. One was sleeping and the other with bare feet on the couch sitting upside down. Interesting. Our food was overpriced. The 3 way chicken while it was in sauce, chicken had no flavor and was so bland. Better chicken at chick filet. Pretzel appetizer was good not worth the hefty price. Beers were good. Ended our meal, 2 beers, 2 chicken sandwiches and 1 appetizer was almost $80 not including tip. And the 2 nothing special drinks in the speakeasy were $35. Over an hour later, rip van winkles still sleeping on the couch so paying customers cannot enjoy that spot if they wanted to. We had an event there and everything was seamless from start to finish. Lori was great and professional to work with, the price was totally reasonable, and the event space was perfect. In addition, the roast beef sandwiches were delicious and everyone enjoyed their drinks. We had many friends tell us they couldn't wait to go back! This place was a very interesting concept! They had 3 different bar areas and 1 of them felt like a speakeasy! They had holiday cocktails when I went. I ordered a holiday drink and it was really good, it had a minty kick to it. Moving onto the food I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and it was great! The chicken was moist on the inside and crisp on the outside. I did feel like it was a bit overly greasy. The ordering system is a bit odd there where we have to order food at the bar. Common craft is an interesting concept with Idle Hands brewery and Exhibit B brewery located inside the establishment. We are staying at a hotel nearby after moving in my daughter at UMass Lowell and needed a place for Beer and Food. Location is attached to a mall but don't let that dissuade you. While walking up we noticed a good outdoor space and lots of activities, including Cornhole. Inside the place is split in half with both breweries, one on the left and one on the right. Food is ordered by scanning a QR code at a table and pick a brewery. We choose Idle hands for the brewery and sat at the bar. I got the Honey Lager, came extremely cold and refreshing. This was so good! Amanda got the Four Seams and enjoyed it as well. Although, the Farmhouse seemed to the be the pick for her. Food we ordered the Guacamole as an appetizer, Fish tacos and Margarita flatbread as our meals to share. The Fish tacos and Guacamole were sufficient but the Pizza was really good! Bartenders seemed busy with other things besides serving beers. Cleaning up and making sure the glasses were stacked and cleaned. Not much conversation or interaction. Prior to leaving we stopped at Exhibit A, this was more of a coffee shop vibe. We ordered "The Cake" which hit the spot for a good Pumpkin beer. This place is bleak, empty and depressing. I know it's "convenient" to have a QR code on the boring wooden slabs of tables with chairs that are way too high - it's infuriating that this excuse for a restaurant is en vogue. It's cold and dark. What if our phones can't hold a charge long? Or they're dead? No one came to greet us. The bartender was rude. The decor is a joke. I used to love The Burlington Mall, but it's clear that barren is in fashion. The menu was a joke. $20 for a burger served with chips? No. Nothing looked appetizing, and it became a process of elimination of what to settle for. I hope this place shuts down and they actually get a restaurant with flair, service and doesn't leave you feeling depressed. read more

I went here after work and met my husband and his friend. They were already loaded on great cocktails and beer smiling and jolly. they had eatens some good dinner options as well. I only had time for 1 beer and a fantastic plant based salad. The menu is great for alll tastes, food preferences and dietary needs. I really appreciate that with 2 vegans in my family. This review is long overdue as we were there 3 months ago in early December. I made a point to get our bartender's name - Jeremy - because he was awesome and deserved our praise. I just found my receipt with my note about it... My husband and I were there on a Thursday afternoon and it was very busy with company holiday gatherings. It was our first time there and we wanted to check out the Deacon Giles speakeasy room. We loved the vibe and the craft cocktails, but it was Jeremy that really elevated it to the next level. He was bartending alone, and large groups of people kept spilling in from the main room, ordering multiple drinks and being rather demanding. Jeremy never once lost his cool and maintained an upbeat, friendly attitude, very quickly and efficiently making drink after drink, non-stop. All the while that he was with the line of partygoers that kept gathering in front of him, constantly taking their orders and making their drinks with a positive attitude, he was very attentive to those of us seated at the bar, made sure we came first without the line even noticing, and made sure he was getting our reorders and making and filling our drinks right away as he was simultaneously waiting on them. I felt bad for him doing it all alone, as he couldn't even step away to go to the bathroom if he had needed to. He was excellent, kept everyone libated and happy, made excellent drinks, and just didn't miss a single beat. Very good cocktails! I asked the bartender to make me something refreshing and she came back with this perfectly made Mai Thai. It was absolutely delicious and she added fresh mint cut right off the plant. It was a really nice touch. Just stopped here for a post shopping lunch with my family and we had a great experience. When you first walk in, it's a little confusing, but a staff member quickly came by to explain. You just grab any open table and seat yourself. Each table comes with a placard and you scan the QR which is how you order food. There are 4 separate bars with different themes and you head there to order alcohol. Food came out very promptly after ordering and the ordering process was super easy. We got our kids the chicken tenders and chips which they scarfed down and we tried bites and everything was very well seasoned and tasty. My husband and I shared the pretzel and poutine. The pretzel was giant but a tad on the dry side. The dipping sauces definitely helped, there was a tasty cheese one and savory mustard. We also got the poutine which came out hot with an excellent gravy. The cheese curds were deep fried which was a pleasant surprise. There is a little station in the restaurant for water, paper towels, and to-go boxes as well that is very convenient. High chairs are available here and the place is very kid friendly. Bathrooms were very clean as well. I thought not having a server would be weird, but it actually made for a very stress free experience. There are staff around the restaurant and of course bartenders at the bar. Would highly recommend, would be ideal for groups and solo diners alike. A good idea in principle but awful in execution. We selected this place because it was dog friendly. Several breweries supply the drinks. You don't get a live server. You have to go up to the bar and order your drinks. I asked for lemon with my water and they didn't have any. You have to order food via a QR code which made it difficult for members with dietary restrictions. The only time you see a wait server is when they deliver your food but then of course they expect a tip as if they have waited on you all night. They may be dog friendly but they are not customer friendly. There are way too many other dining options in the Burlington area than to go to Common crap and work harder than if you stayed home and cooked for yourself. read more
