Not the best target I've been to, but it gets the job done. It is currently getting remodeled, so I may up my stars once it is complete. Lines are generally long with a max of 3 cashiers working at a time. Easy to get to, weird parking lot (they've redone it) and hard to find a parking spot on this continent (of course there are spaces, but you have to walk a mile to get to the store... yes a mile.) read more

Couldn't really ask for much more in a Target. This is a full on Target with food, clothes, household items, sporting goods, etc. They've also got a pharmacy and Starbucks. I often find myself going there to buy household or medical items that are hard to find anywhere else. Only downside is that it can get crowded at times as people from all over the county come to Watsonville to shop at Target. read more

This is a pretty lame target. I spent hours there and just came out with a bunch of cleaning stuff. Most of that stuff I could have bought at the grocery store. I don't know if I'm just jaded now or whether they really don't have that much good stuff. I have to check out another target to compare. Has target in general gone downhill or just this one? This is a medium size Tar-jay, with an interesting clientele. Because of the size of many of their patrons they have a larger than average big girl section. The shoe department was on the small size, but I managed to find a cute pair of spring shoes. For some reason this store doesn't seem to have as many clearance items [with the orange sticker that means they're permanently reduced] as some other stores. They do always have good deals on housewares. HOWEVER, the checkout always seems to take forever and a day. Do they pump some sort of sedative into the veins of the cashier? Le sigh. read more

Tried to return an air mattress that didn't work out. I was told that it was non returnable and it's their store policy. They said they had signs on the shelfs ( which they don't ) and that it's posted on their wall ( which is a 5x7 sign ) at customer service , which nobody can see. I told the manager ( Hispanic woman with long black hair) not only do you not have signs , that policy should be posted at the cash register or the cashier should have informed me. Just went to target to print my wedding pictures, after choosing the pictures and the sizes i wanted to print i checked out my order. I ask one of the employees how long it would take for my pictures to be printed, she tells me that her 1hr machine is broken that i have to resubmit my order and select to be printed in seconds option. By that time someone else is using the only machine available there. I was like wtfudge i had spent all this time and no photo employee told me first that the 1hr machine was broken and second there was no sign saying to print you must select to be printed in seconds option, very frustrated after wasting like 40 minutes or so i walk out, very mad!!!! read more

This target store, policy, and employees are the worst. I got ripped off of $35 dollars from target I returned a "Embark" air mattress from target for which I returned back for a second time, wanting a refund or another item, just no more"Air mattresses from"Embark " company. They would not compromise with me they didn't even give back the air mattress I returned I ended up walking out store completely empty handed. Target store should be Sued for stealing my money from me. read more

I personally love target it's my favorite store in town but the parking spaces are horrible I have 4 kids and so that's a lot of kids to handle but they are very well behaved. I hate the parking spaces they are always full no matter what day I go to target there are always full parking lots! read more

Hands down, this is the absolute worst Target I have ever been to. First and foremost, let's discuss cleanliness. This is not a Priority at this location, 99.9% of the time the aisles are bare and clothing, toys, empty Starbucks cups, napkins, shoes, food, etc. are everywhere. Then there's Ethics. Which unfortunately is non-existent at this location. On several occasions I have experienced unethical behavior and ignorance. It ranges from after waiting in line for a Nintendo an employee in full uniform and working purchases the last Nintendo (which was rightfully mine), and the cashier places the Nintendo under the cabinet and the employee return to stocking the shelves and then proceeds to tell me they are all out of Nintendos. After I stood there and witnessed the whole transaction. Upon, speaking to the manager I was told that yes the employee was clocked in and working but they have an agreement that she will then sacrifice her breaks for the day ( hmmmm...nothing about that sounds along the line of California Wage and Hour Laws. Illegal!!!) And,then there was today. This was the straw that broke the camels back. I came in looking for the Tide deal which included a $10 gift card. I also purchased a few other items. I was unable to find the Tide because, of course the aisles were not stocked and they were bare. I proceeded to customer service and Irene made me feel as though I was being rushed and her curt responses were not polite. I then handed over my coupons which consisted of 1 target ad coupon, 3 Tide coupons and 1 coupon that I printed from the Target website. She then abruptly stated that I can only use 4 coupons. I then stated that they were not all the same and that they were for different products and different types of coupons and 1 was from their website. I then showed her the coupon policy from the Target website and asked her where did it state that I could only use 4 coupons. She began to get flustered and kept stating that I was wrong and it was at her discretion cause they have a lot of fraud at their location. She then repeated that it was her discretion and I asked where it stated that I have a 4 coupon limit. She fumbled through a very unorganized drawer and pulled out different papers and began to read to me what she assumed was what she was telling me and stopped mid sentence. She mumbled something under her breathe about that not being the right paper. She then stated that she was only going to honor the one from the ad at her discretion. At this point I was done, I didn't have the patience to deal with the buffoonery of this employee making up her own policy after she had just let the woman in front of me return a used air mattress with no receipt and no box with absolutely no problem! And she had the nerve to question my 4 coupons that only added up to about $3.75 in savings! This is just ridiculous. It's so unfortunate that this store continues to be nothing but a disappointment and disgrace to Target as a corporation. I will not be returning and will forward this review to their corporate office as this behavior and customer service is never acceptable! read more

Not the biggest Target I've seen but hey, that's OK. They have what I like, without all the stuff I don't. I ALWAYS manage to find what I went for, plus a lot more usually. The worst WORST return policy ever. I will never do any registry with them again! My experience: I registered for my bridal shower at Target. In the end I ended up with one too many comforters. Now the product has the brand name ALL over it. It came from Target. And they will not exchange it for store credit. Nothing. I don't have a receipt, it was a gift. And please don't tell me to go ask the gift giver for the receipt, because that is the tackiest thing to do. I have never experienced such silly strict return policy. Target brand label all over it. What a waste. Next time I will register elsewhere (Toys R Us/Bed Bath and Beyond) and advise my girlfriends too. read more

Went to this store hoping to get a nes classic edition because the site said "in stock." Drove all the way to Watsonville for a kid who couldn't take his eyes off his phone (where's management?) to tell me they were all sold out. Update your system! Every other store has. I come here often since its the only one in the area. One of the better Targets, store wise.Tons of parking, always well stocked, lines move at a decent pace, and overall the store itself is pretty clean. However most of the employees are downright useless and the workers at the customer service desk are pretty rude. Overall 3.5 stars. read more

The Target pharmacy is awful. They are very unorganized and slow. I can never count on my rx to be ready on time. In fact I call before pick up to be told its ready but when I git there it wasn't ready. If there is an error in the rx they will not call your Dr to get it fixed they wait for you to take the incentive. Service sucks read more

This target use to be awesome. The last few years have seen a sharp decline in employee/management competence. I shop at this target several times a week, and at least once a week they close more than half their registers while the lines are down the main hallway 20+ people. Only to have the rude Hispanic employee say a few words, never making eye contact, "this line is closed" and after asking if only the 3 registers with huge lines were still open, "I guess". This is unacceptable at a mayor retailer like target. I have been to at least 25 targets across 15+ states and I have never had an experience like the ones I repeatedly have at this target. This is not Kmart or Walmart. People who shop at target don't mind paying a little more to be in a clean well staffed store that is nothing like Walmart or Kmart of the bargain hunters that shop at those stores. I am not trying to pick a fight just saying why the Minnesota company has been successful ( I am a Minnesota native). Basically if you don't live around the corner from this target, it's worth the drive to go to the new one in capitola or just to Walmart in gilroy, since the experience here is worse than that of Walmart. I love Target. I've had nothing but pleasant and positive experiences at this Target on Main St. Friendly cashiers and friendly supervisors. The store is clean. The floor is clean, the bathrooms, the shelves and so on. I like how organized the racks, aisles , and products are. There's no merchandise or slippery hangers on the ground like in some other stores. I like the lighting because you can see what color the product your about to purchase is. At the electronics department there is always more than one employee there to help me which is awesome. When I'm at the register getting my purchases checked out I like how simple and relaxing the process is. I'm not hounded by the employees if I'd like to sign up for a Target credit card but they politely just ask. Target really is the best one stop shop in town. read more

I was able to find the item I wanted in electronics and received assistance from a pleasant employee. The reason for the low rating is my checkout experience -- poor. I was unable to use the self-checkout stations because an employee needed to remove a security device. There was only one regular register open (right next to self-checkout) when I got in line. I was in line, with several other people behind me, when an employee who had been standing in the self-checkout area walked by me without saying a word. After a minute I noticed she was at the register at the adjacent aisle, but said nothing to the waiting customers nor turn on the light for the aisle. Two customers finally walked up to her register while the customers in our lane waited. My experience with other stores is that the employee would say he/she is opening another register and ask the next customer in line if they would like to come over to the other lane. After she had been at the register for 5 minutes, another employee told her to turn on her light which she finally did. From what I observed, her demeanor was lacking, almost like she did not want to be waiting on customer. Unfortunately I did not see her name. Poor customer service. read more

Don't shop at this store unless you're positive you won't need to return your purchase. The return desk makes you feel like a criminal. Any return must be in the "original packing," and if it doesn't meet their standard of "original" you lose. Even it you have not opened the package, they may still give you a hassle. Today I returned a copy of Turbo-Tax exactly as I had purchased it--unopened, security sealed, no scratches, no damage. The clerk insisted that it was originally shrink-wrapped. I insisted that it was not shrink-wrapped and, instead, had been encased in a clear plastic security case that the cashier opened and retained when I purchased it. They argued there was no such case. After demanding a manager and accompanying him to the display, we discovered that none were shrink-wrapped and that all had clear plastic security cases. He mumbled, "Okay, go tell them it's okay." I replied, "No, YOU go tell them it's okay." which he did. No one apologized. I eventually got my refund after wasting 30 minutes of my day, and left the store in a rotten mood. read more
