Just returned from the Watsonville store...Drove down from Brancifortee to get some flex pipe for our sump pump...I pull up and the powers OUT...Then I see someone crack the door..." Come IN" He says...it turns out his name is SAL...what do ya need he asks..I tell em, he takes 3 minutes to find the pipe...Im out the door 6 minutes, tops! Finally a Harbor Freight store in Watsonville, I use to go to their Gilroy store before this one opened up. Their fully stocked I was in and out in ten minutes with my new flag pole. Sign up for their new coupons, I saved twenty percent. Clean, organized, well-lit store. Employees here are very friendly and go out of their way to assist you. Since I have been shopping at Harbor Freight for years now, I know exactly where to find the item I need. Every store I've been to has the same floor layout.. Now I don't have to go to Gilroy to get to a Harbor Freight store. I hope this store is here to stay. Welcome to Watsonville, this will be my go-to Harbor Freight store for now on. Harbor freight is really hit and miss with the quality. I have never bought anything that lasted more than a few days. Water pump...2 days. Terry cloth? SNAPPED it was so rigid lol. Welding hoses cracked after a year and the brass but snapped when i tried to loosen it the wrong way. They basically just sell crap. Hence the price. I really miss OSH.... On the other hand, I've heard stories of people buying stuff, like a buddy that got an electric pressure washer that he uses once every couple months and he's had it a couple years. So, if you want to roll the dice and save a few bucks, give it a shot. Be sure to keep your receipt. On 10/31/2020 I'm Standing outside in the cold 40 degrees weather with a line of people waiting at 9:40am and a store associate just pacing back and forth swinging his hands up and down side to side and won't let customers inside... He should at least do whatever needed (work since he's getting paid) to open the store instead of just standing there! This morning I went to Harbor Freight and had to stay in line outside door to local restrictions on COVID. The young man controlling the line entry was so nice, talked to everyone and every told customers which aisle their items were on before entering the store. He really made, what could have been, a irritating situation into a positive one. The cashier was very sweet too. This was my first visit and will not be my last. Excellent experience! read more

Worst service of my life . Walked in to the store and was not greeted but instead had the manager and a cashier staring at us in a rude manner. Looked around for 5 minutes and grabbed a few masks. My Gf needed to use the restroom (and let me clarify no one was cleaning the restrooms) so we take are masks with us to the front and asked if my gf could use the restroom. The cashier looked at the manager and made up that they were being cleaned even though just a minute before we saw no one there. Also the manager was in my personal space with his arms crossed staring at me making me very uncomfortable. Then I replied with alright it's fine and then he made another cashier come ring me up (he was a long haired fellow who was very nice) . I purchased an item in this store. When I returned home I discovered the item had been opened and used. I assume a previous customer had switched a used item and placed it in box and then returned it. I called the store and the manager was polite but unwilling to help me. He also implied that because he wasn't the person who restocked the item then he did not have to fix the problem. Not a good experience. read more

Tim is even worse than the review that I had previously read on Yelp. It really sucks to go be treated so poorly when, you are spending money. It must be the same feeling people get, when they stay at a Trump establishment. Tim is a poor excuse of a Manager and to think that this hate-monger is training all the employees and new employees. The staff is useless and Tim is a little tyrant and a lying no good sod buster. I got that from "Shane" it's to make me laugh because, what else can I do? The district manager obviously does not care. I guess I will go to Lowe's, Home Depot or just order from Amazon Prime. It's not worth going to Harbor Freight and taking a chance of catching COVID-1 and to be treated like crap at the same time. This place truly disappointed me. I was lied to straight to my face by what appeared to be the manager. Super rude big guy who clearly does not care for his customers. My husband received some tools for xmas that he already had, thankfully the person attached a gift receipt so that he could exchange them. When my husband attempted to return the tools (along with the gift receipt) he was told the money goes back to the card it was bought with. No availability for store credit even. So basically my husband was robbed of the $60 someone invested in him. What really upset me was when I went in to ask why they even offered gift reciepts if they will not honor it as one, this big man walked up with a bad attitude to start and claimed they did not offer gift receipts, they were just "secondary receipts". I, not having the receipt in my hand, decided to walk out since he had a sketchy aggressive vibe. However, once I checked the receipt it said GIFT RECEIPT. My husband constantly gives this store buisness and it is ridiculous that we were treated with attitude and even worse, LIED to. We will not be giving this store or business and I will make sure to share my experience with friends and family. read more

I have recently discovered Harbor Freight Tools and couldn't.t be more thankful. Tools that I refrained from purchasing for years are now in my arsenal of tools because I have now found them sold at a price point that fits within my budget. Harbor freight has now allowed for me to expand and fill the service needs in my field of work to all my customers. I have found the many tools I have recently purchased from them to be quite robust and serviceable. In addition, I have recognized that the staff has always been ready and extremely helpful and happy to answer any questions concerning which tool is offered buy them to fit the needs of the job I intend to perform and lead me to its whereabouts, allowing for me to get what I need and get back to work quickly. They have allowed me the luxury of saving money at the checkout counter, plus the opportunity to expand my business and generate a greater profit margin.
