We had the most outstanding service from Merced! He went so far above and beyond what was expected. He helped us figure out how to manufacture bolts for my son's car that they didn't carry. Super knowledgeable and creative. You'll never find this kind of help at home depot. Ace Hardware for the W! read more

Here's to Merced and helping me kind kerosene for the Kerosene man ‍ along with the amazing team here

Called to get some patio chairs. They said they had enough so I put them on hold. When I got there the next day, they were stacked at the entrance with a reserved sign on them. They rang them up and carried them to my car! Unfortunately, one chair has a broken part. I called them and they said no problem, they had 1 more and would exchange it the next day. Super satisfied with this A e store! read more

What a great hardware store! This store has everything, and also excellent customer service. I will definitely use this store as my go to for any hardware needs. Thank you, Merced! read more

Merced and Moses were some of the nicest, most genuine people that I've met recently. I was in a rush trying to find something and no nearby stores sold it. They searched and were able to help me out, and ultimately make my night! Thank you! read more

I want to give five stars to Merced, at Ace Hardware who helped me find the perfect product for my plants. We researched and we couldn't find it at any store and he said he would research a little bit more and get back to me. He went to the growers supplies rather than the retail stores and he called me back with a phone number for them and they had the product that I was looking for. I was so grateful for his persistence in finding the product for my needs to balance out my fertilizer for my philodendron. Merced was so very kind to take the time to do the research to find the proper product for calcium and magnesium to give the strength to my plants leaves and he was extremely knowledgeable about what was needed. I really appreciate Merced, and I want everyone to know that he is very kind, knowledgeable, and willing to help. I thank him very much. read more

Freedom Ace Hardware - Hardware Stores Near Me - Freedom, California

This Ace Hardware is the former store that was located on freedom and airport. The new store is very nicely decorated and it seems to have a wider variety of items in the previous store had. The employees are pleasant, nice, and helpful. They seem to know where everything is in the store and they are willing to help you go find it. I really can't think of anything negative to say about this Ace Hardware. The only reason why I took one star off is because their prices are higher than Home Depot's. They probably can't do anything about that. Try it you'll like it and when you go there, Tell them Karen sent you read more

I'm coordinating an event for a Corporation and my connect four broke. I came in for supplies and not only did I find everything I needed with amazing service, Carlos and Delia went above and beyond to help me and teach me how to put it together !!!! I attached a picture so you can see how amazing they are. Words can't express how your act of kindness at Ace Hardware Watsonville gave me made my day! read more

I'm never going to Ace in Freedom again. It took 3 kids working to tell me that an incomplete set I returned could not be given the missing part by opening another pack of 2 to satisfy a customer. They could have made me a happy camper, but instead, I walked out with the 2 pack only and in shock. Aren't these kids trained in customer service?? read more

Went into the Freedom Ace hardware for a padlock. I found the brand I wanted marked on sale so I took two to the counter where the computer listed them at full price. I told the clerk that I thought they were on sale. He went back to check, took the sign down and then told me they were no longer on sale. I bought one at full price. I am 72 years old and this is a first for me. Most stores will honor the advertised price but not Ace hardware. read more

This store used to be great. I don't know what happened, but they are horrible now. First off, the whole store is filthy. When I walked in, there wasn't a clerk at the register, and when I went to walk out, one employee accused me of stealing and demanded to see what was in my pockets. I'll just stick with the Home Depot. The regional manager really needs to make a surprise visit and shape this place up. This location is in desperate need of some special attention. read more

Clerk Jasper was very helpful and candid. The time and service was efficient AND addressed my hardware needs. I recommend this location if one wants to not deal with crowds AND locate needed merchandise ( which was not at other hardware stores). read more

The first place I go for any project. Absolutely terrific service and a surprisingly large inventory for a storefront place. I needed a very specific little piece of something to fix a chair, and they patiently listened to my whole spiel before custom cutting something for me and charging just a buck. read more

Service not the best. Walked by two employees and neither offered to help. They were too busy having a conversation, which had nothing to do with their job. I was expecting better service. Didn't find what I needed, but did buy a gas wrench I needed with a 50% OFF coupon. As for their pricing, everything looks like it's marked up 25% or more than at Home Depot. read more

Apparently you must appear to be Mexican for the female cashier to see you. I was in line when she called the two men behind me in Spanish and proceeded to check out before me. She then greeted me in Spanish. Is this not a US base hardware store where the language is English? I asked why she helped the people behind me in line, her response was "I don't know." Guess I will shop Home Depot exclusively read more
