Surprise, AZ Target is a joke. I will never return to this store. We were treated so poorly by the return department and the security worker. I bought a pair of ear buds and had to return them for not working properly. We had a receipt but were initially refused a refund because apparently the serial numbers were not a match. I have no idea why that would have been but in any case that should not have been our issue, that is a Target system error issue. We were treated like criminals as the security worker watched the video of our purchase twice and made us wait entirely too long. I expect that if I choose to buy $300 ear buds from Target and I have to return them for whatever reason with a valid receipt that I should be able to do that without being treated like a criminal in your store. He demanded my ID even though i had a receipt which just made me feel gross about the whole situation. Customer service was the worst! Never again Surprise, AZ Target. read more

I have had the worst experience with this target. I signed up my baby registry here a total of three items now magically never showed up. It's not like I can go in and get refunded for something that was gifted to me, and when I let the people know who bought it for me that I haven't gotten it. They also were met with nothing but disrespect and some refused refunds. However today really set me over the edge. I got a gift card that I bought something with online, been busy and working full-time they put the item back on the shelf because I couldn't pick it up and refunded me $19.85, Totally fine so I went in to buy it off the shelf today.They have the exact item even had my first and last name on the item sitting on the shelf. When I went to pay the lady said I owed her $5.95.I said that can't be right because this should just be an even exchange....She then goes did you use points and I said yes I did those should have been refunded, yet they couldn't find that $5.95, So I ended up paying $5.95 and the tax again for a product I literally already paid for I will not shop at this target again. It's Target!!! Starting with the $1.50 popcorn and soda combo which you leave a popcorn trail all over the store!! You go in for a toothbrush, and leave with dog food - for the dog you don't even own, a wedding registry - for the wedding you aren't even having, a Shabby Chic sheet and comforter set - for the queen bed you don't own, soda, popcorn, candy - for the diet you are already failing and lastly, a new iPhone for the AT&T contract you had no plans on renewing. :) So moral of the story, don't go in!! Target - What.. Woot woot!! - Department Stores Near Me - Surprise, Arizona

I was shopping and accidentally left my cell phone in the dressing room area but didn't realize it at the time. Once I finally discovered I didn't have it I was frantic. I had a friend call my cell phone waiting to hear it ringing in my car on the floor board. When I heard the friendly voice of Karen from Target as she answered my phone and told me where I left it I was so relieved. I drove back as quickly as possible and went straight to the dressing room area. Karen explained that she found it and noticed that it only had a 3% charge remaining so she began to charge it while waiting for someone to claim it! what a thoughtful and kind gesture! Again I go to this store and their carts are in the front but they are all not charged and not plugged. What is up with this store. People need these electrical carts. It's bad enough for us people that cannot get along well to have to go in and not be able to shop. This has happened quite a few times this year. I recently sat on my sunglasses and desperately needed something so I ran into Target. I bought some awesome sunglasses in the Optical section Reaction Kenneth Cole's; got great service from the Target Lady in the Optical dept. She was so incredibly nice. I actually never was a real Target shopper until I met a dear friend of mine. I'm a Walmart kind of girl. He taught me that cheaper isn't always better. I have found that Target has better quality items and a better selection on certain items. The quality of their clothing is much better. This Target is very very close to home which adds to the convenience. It is very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The layout is good. I definitely will be back in time to come. Always so nice shopping at this Target and clean organize actually compared some prices around and it's cheaper than Walmart so that made me happy heck that beer friendly $16 for a 30 pack which is sweet. Space Also cool feature is if they carry the new Caroline carts for special needs I think that's nice. I couldn't find the granola bars I was looking for so I let an employee help me Deborah she was so nice and went out of her way to then asked me what else I needed and help me with all my other shopping I totally recommend. Ok, so service isn't always the best. The workers can often be clueless and even rude. Luckily, I know Target very well, so I don't need these workers! I can find it myself! The cashiers are hit and miss. Sometimes they don't even mutter "hello", but whatever, I'm at Target. Yeah, it's my happy place. They always have fun stuff and great prices. Things are always well stocked (at least the workers have that part figured out). I can easily drop $100 here even though I just went in for toothpaste. How? It's one of the mysteries of the world, I suppose. So when I'm trying to save money, I don't go here! If I really need something, I do not, repeat, do not get a cart, but a basket! That way I can't fit much in my basket. I think Target is a girl thing. Guys don't really get it. But if you are a girl, you get it. It's Target. read more

Since this Target is close to the ballpark for Kansas City, it gets high marks for selling decently priced Kansas City shirts! Its well organized, has friendly cashiers, and typical Target layout. Security at the entrance and friendly cashiers whom are very fast at check-out. However, it does not have a Starbucks, so only 4 stars, BUT its next to a Barnes & Noble that does sell coffee. read more

I love Target. I have one right by my house and I go there often. But not all Targets are created equal. My daughter and a friend, both highschool juniors, we escorted out of the store while they were looking at Apple products in the electronics section. They asked why they were being asked to leave because they were confused and had no clue why and they gave no answer and escorted them out. After this event I called Target to speak to a manager and ask for an explanation. After speaking to him and telling him the employee that escorted them out he assured me he would figure it out and call me. I never received a call. Neither did the parents of my daughters friend. I love Target! I'm just not a fan that this Targets closes at 10pm, coming from another state where they closed at 11pm. Oh and I didn't like that the restrooms had no toilet seat covers. This my local Target. I shop here almost every 2weeks if not more. I have three small kids and have done a lot of price shopping between Target and Costco on things like diapers, toilet paper and toothpaste...Target wins every time. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The store is always neat and organized...even the bathrooms are tolerable (and I'm not a big fan of any public restroom.) My kids love going to Target with me too because of the popcorn. Lol. All in all I would recommend Target over all other similar stores hands down. read more

The store is large and well stocked it is also clean. However, the staff are rude. Today my husband was searching for some light bulbs and waited for two staff to finish their conversation. When they stopped talking they completely ignored him standing there and walked away. He had to call out to try to get one to help him find what he needed. This is not a one time occurrence for that store. I had a similar experience with the 'cashier' for the self check out lines. You can get the same items for the same price online (or less). The only reasons to shop in person are customer service and immediate purchase. I can wait a day or two for delivery. read more

This is our local location until they build the one at Prasada! I am not a huge fan of Target, just like any other major chain stores! (Wally World) But i do need to visit them from time to time! This location has recently added their grocery dept, so it will be helpful for the ones who wants to make a one stop affair! Prices are reasonable, product is you get what you pay for folks! I'm over this Target store! I'm singled out every time I go at night. The undercover security guard constantly follows me around and it's uncomfortable. When he catches me seeing him he pretends to be on his phone or check out the baby clothes. I feel uncomfortable every time and it's not worth going anymore. I'm a woman! We don't know what the hell we want, so we browse for hours but I guess that's too suspicious for him. I literally walked out and forgot to buy several items I was planning on getting, but I just wanted to get out of there. I've never felt profiled like that before. Sorry target you lost my business. You would think in this scary time target would be more prepared to protect their customers! No hand sanitizer in their dispenser, no cart wipes... bathrooms filthy, no paper towels to dry hands... This store is gross. I really like Target and their selection (usually) but this one is nasty. The entrance is dirty. Carpet is always a hot mess. Carts randomly strewn about. Teenagers riding the motorized carts around the store for fun. Not to mention that it seriously stinks of urine. I'm certain it's the food area, but good god I can't even walk in this place because of the intense smell of urine. read more

Today 12/27/13 trying to purchase a Christmas clearance item that shows 50% clearance item and the manager Debra turned around pulls off the clearance sign right in front of me and my kids, and she makes a comment that the clearance sign was not there when she came to work this morning. Decided to shop at Target rather than Walmart, to find a better selection of hair clippers for my husband. Purchased a set, got hone and opened the box to find that they had been previously owned and well USED by someone else (complete with hair and even some dandruff). I called the store immediately and asked for the manager. I was then asked by a store employee to leave a message and I said no, I needed to speak with the store manager as soon as possible...about a complaint! The manager I spoke with could care less and didn't even apologise. Highly disappointed with this stores quality control, apparently someone in the Returns Department was slacking off. Needless to say the item was returned and I wouldn't be surprised if its waiting on the shelf for some other poor individual to purchase. read more

So I order everything I need online and pick up in 2 hours or EARLIER at the drive up station! Yes! A drive up and they will bring out your online order! ANOTHER AWFUL EXPERIENCE! I know shame on me for giving them another chance a year and a half later! Dear Target, My husband and myself visited your location this evening 1/2/2015 at 8pm. We selected a video game that your employee had to retrieve from behind the plexiglass. We pointed out the one we wanted and she said she would go get a magnet and meet us at the counter. We paid the item, a Pokémon game for Nintendo Ds. (A gift for our nephew) After leaving and entering our vehicle my husband began to remove the wrapper halfway then upon inspecting the game realized your clerk had selected the wrong one when she came back with her keys and magnet. Seeing how it had been no more than 2 minutes since we walked out of your store, we were sure your employee would admit to her mistake and correct the issue. Boy, were we wrong. The young woman at the return counter told my husband when he went in that it was "not her problem" he had partially opened the game and all she could do was give him another copy of the same game if she opened it. My husband told me this so I went I because surely this was a mistake. I walked in and there were two women behind your return counter. One large woman packing boxes and the young lady this letter will continue to reference. I asked who had helped my husband and the young woman stepped up. I asked her to explain her policy after telling her the story of your employee's mistake. She once again stated it was "not her problem" that it was open and explained what could be done. I said ok retrieve another copy and open in for me. She got on her head set and radioed for someone in electronics to retrieve a duplicate of the game. After several minutes she informed me that there were "none left" I then asked what she could do for me. She said again it was "not her problem and there was nothing I could do so.. h well" She had a horrific attitude and was being quite snarky. I then asked to speak to her manager to which she snapped "I am the manager" I then asked her to write down her name and her superior's name. (I have bad eyesight) She replied I could "read her badge" and she would not vocalize her name to me. I then asked to speak to her superior, she replied "I told him there were no managers here" A security guard behind the counter walked up and told her to "let it go" clearly trying to calm her aggressive behavior towards me. She radioed for a manager and while waiting she said "you came in here with a bad attitude miss" I addressed her comment by informing her I do not work for target and she does so whether my attitude was bad or not hers shouldn't be so threatening. Then a woman walked up and told me her name was Marekett she was a manager and asked how she could help. I told her I just wanted her name for reference when contacting cooperate and that her employee there had an awful attitude as I was exiting your store. This security guard and the large woman should be able to recount all of these events assuming they are honest people. I have never met such a rude and nasty woman as this "manager"( she claimed) to be working your return counter this evening. I can honestly say she was one of the rudest managers I have ever encountered in my life. So I arrive home this evening with the wrong game, a loss of respect for Target and a mindset to ensure this story is shared in as many places as I can post it to warn others of how unprofessional and standoffish your employees can be. The parking lot is always a freaking mad house. So I don't go here as much as I would otherwise. The store is always clean and the employees are generally helpful. This Target is very clean & everything is easy to find. They open at 8am & we were there by 8:30 & it wasn't busy at all. There was only one register open but when they saw there was a little line another one opened right up. They have a big selection for babies & I got the things I couldn't find at Walmart here. They had a whole Disney Junior toy section also which I liked since my baby loves Doc so I got her a few things while we're here on vacation. This Target is also located right near Walmart. read more
