Only down fall is the check out lines are very long. But the over all store is big and well organized.

My friend and I went to hobby lobby to get some fabric to make blankets before I left for school. When we went up to get our fabric cut one lady was very snarky about a fabric not working with another one. The employe who cut our fabric was very nice! I am by no means a person who makes blankets often but their pricing from online to in-store doesn't match nor does it add up in the end. read more

It was recommended to me to go to Hobby Lobby for the repair of some of my picture frames and I couldn't find another frame business to do the repair in the Surprise area. Heather in the framing department was excellent. She was knowledgable, efficient, incredibly responsive and helpful. It's just that the front of the store checkout process to pay for my two items was incredibly slow. The lines were very long with 50% off Christmas items being very popular. If they are discounting now, I wondered how much they must markup their inventory. My recommendation is for this store to invest in new computerized registers. The clerks had to enter each line item by inventory number. They need scanners. Also, when the lines are that long, provide one line with 10 items or less. The customers ahead of me had about 30 items in their cart-$700 worth. I had two. It took 25 minutes to check out and pay for my frame repairs I must admit the nice clerk apologized for how long it took and told me to have a blessed day. I was cranky and her attitude did help. My family and I was very excited when this location opened up in the area. Has it conveniently located about 15 minutes from our home. Is nearby plenty of parking restaurants and other stores for your shopping purchases. As soon as you walk in, you will see items right away available for purchase to be big home Sainz table, chairs, decorations, and you will go into the sliding doors and to get your cart and see the various selections to your liking. The store is very spacious. The employees are friendly and also you could sign up for their emails for special offers. The store has usually everything you can look for from home decor for your living room bedroom children's room, patio plants, pictures, knickknacks basket, rugs, and so much more . I hope you know what you need and where it's located when you visit this store, because if you don't, NOBODY will help you. I asked two associates for assistance on finding an item and one person made a best guess and sent me across the store unattended, where it was not located. Then I asked another associate to help me find this item and her response was "I don't know what that is". I explained that I've been looking on my own and was unsuccessful and would appreciate some help and asked her if she could look it up. She did not. Officially Opening Day today at the newest Hobby Lobby in Surprise. Parking was pretty easy to our surprise which was great. Upon entry we were greeted right away and began our shipping. I was pleased to see great holiday sales and found everything I'd come for. I was a bit disappointed in the mirror/home decor or lack there of I should say, I'm assuming some may have been bought at st their soft opening so I'll go back again to see options soon. Check out was just as easy and very friendly. Everyone was so polite even with how busy it became over time. Prices are great and value for what you get worth it to me. read more

Bought a Christmas tree a couple weeks ago. Wanted to return it since I found a different one . New in box, never opened, with a receipt, . Assistant mgr refused the return . The return policy on the receipt does not specify this as an exception. Online it says they can be returned to the store in original packaging. We asked where this rule is posted in the store and she said it isn't . She told us to call the manufacturer, and I asked how they would handle it, and she said she didn't know . She was very rude, although other associates apologized and said it wasn't right that I couldn't return it. Goes against what corporate says, and she had nothing to show as a reason for the refusal. Hobby Lobby is such a fun place to shop. I like to browse every once in a while, especially if seasons change. Customer service is always great. The store is always clean and organized. Product moves fast, and sometimes they have some awesome sales. Note anything with a yellow/red price tag is not included in any sale. They have a large craft and fabric section, as well as decore. Large parking lot, 2 entrances and exits. This last visit I picked up a large wall hanging. I have had a blanket wall in one of our bathrooms. Large blank wall that needed something large. Also great for gifting as well. Prices decent on decore and seasonal. Awesome during clearance. Toys and crafts a bit pricy, so keep your eyes peeled for a sale. If you fall in love with something, get it. It may not be available long. read more

We absolutely LOVE this location. The selection, the prices, the location, and the employees! They truly have gone out of their way to help me multiple times. So many of them I've come to know on a first name basis, and my son absolutely loves coming in and getting some attention from these wonderful ladies! Lisa, Lourdess, Wendy, Kimberly just to name a few. They are all so kind, genuinely caring, and great at what they do! They are always working so hard and in the ZONE on busy days. Some people don't understand what it's like to be front end in a major retailer and the stress it involves, so some of these weird reviews just don't make sense to me honestly. But check out the store for yourself. I've not had a single issue since they opened and I'm here approximately 2-3 times a week minimum. read more

I was standing in line for a good 20 min they had only one cashier and the return desk open. Another cashier opens thinking yeah! The new cashier had no interest in taking any of us from a line which as 10 people in it and growing....have been waiting for almost 20 min. There was a person at the front of our line buying a stacks of fabric. So the lady behind me, says to the new cashier do you think you could take some of us. Because by then the people in the store were just walking up to check out. The cashier ignored her no response not like "yes come over I will help you." Nothing not a word. Then I saw the manager Wendy. I thought I would say something to her because being a manager you would want your customers to be happy and service them. Well I guess not because she says "I told her what to do, and I am really busy now" I was in shock because she was yelling and mad that I brought this to her attention. Now I am still in this line with 10 people deep and growing. The cashier she brought over just continues to check out new people not again asking our line at all. Frankie our line cashier is embarrassed she has her head down afraid to say a word. Such extremely poor customer service by all, rudeness and lack of consideration of customers. I actually have never seen such rudeness or mismanagement in a place like this. Wendy walked away really not caring, with a smile on her face. I still had to wait 15 more. This is a fairly new store and they are still "finding their feet." But, two experiences show me courtesy toward customers is not a priority. 1) several weeks ago, my friend and I visited the store. She was recovering from a broken ankle and using a walker. I was 4 weeks post hip replacement surgery and needed a cart for support. A young employee rushed past us pushing and towing carts full of merchandise. She pushed on full cart into an aisle in our path. We asked she to not block our path. She responded it is "truck day and this is our instruction." She rushed off leaving us to find our way around. 2) today, I entered the store and had a picture of what I was looking. I saw a woman near the door with a tablet and multiple badges. I asked if I could ask her a question. She responded yes. As I was lifting my phone, her walkie talkie went off and she takes off, leaving me standing. Since, I didn't hear sirens or see a firetruck, I don't think it was an emergency. I needed 5 seconds of her time but apparently I wasn't important enough. read more

Associate "Cashier" Kimberly was such a sweetheart. Took here time to thoroughly help me. Very courteous and attentive. It was raining outside and she took all the extra time to carefully bag my items so they would not get wet. I love Hobby Lobby and could spend thousands in there........even more so with associates like Kimberly!!! read more

My wife loves Hobby Lobby but they need to do a much better job checking out customers. God bless Karen, the checkout lady, but she was a mess. It took over 25 minutes for her to ring up 2 customers and a total of 7 items between the both of them. Karen had to read the whole flyer to determine what items were on sale. When they only have two open lines, you probably don't want to put the 80 year old that doesn't know how to ring people up on one of the registers.
