I love Target but will never shop at this one again. I scanned a backpack at the self checkout (that was completely flat and empty btw) and handed it to my toddler who was crying for it. I noticed our pumpkin that we were getting had a broken bar code so I asked the lady who was working self check out if there was a way to look it up. After she put in the code she proceeded to pat down the backpack that my toddler had. In the climate we are in and with all the race things going on your employees need more training. read more

The Customer Service is CRAP here. I walked in and walked pass like 12 employees and NOT person manage to say hi or even acknowledge me. I know I am not a ghost so I don't know how you missed me!!! But since I have a life to live, I went on to purchase my stuff and when I was ready to check out, where I passed up more speechless employees, the cashier could not get her register to work properly so she was jumping from register to register until she finally decided to call for help. besides all that I guess its your typical target....but really work on your customer service guys read more

I am a fan of the Tar-Jay! We used to shop at this location all the time when we lived in Schaumburg. The parking lot works well for me. No annoying one-ways or dead ends. Of course, I can use my Target Debit Card and save my 5%, so that works for me. I noticed two things during my most recent visit. First, they don't have a deli at this Target. We stopped to get lunch stuff for the week and had to settle for packaged lunch meat. Good thing it was for my hubby because it is highly unlikely that I would nibble on that stuff. Secondly, their staff aren't all the friendliest characters around. I asked a Target Team Member for some guidance. She didn't even lift her head and just sort of tossed her hand in the direction of what I was looking for. Another couple Team Members stood around the refrigerated items yapping it up and mainly blocked the aisles for the paying customers. I was annoyed. It may have just been an off night since we've had good experiences here before. Regardless, I was glad once we were driving out of the parking lot. read more

Well what is there to say other than it is just another Super Target. This store seems to be in cahoots with the Dominicks in the same area with only having 2-3 checkout lanes open at any given time of the day. This gets frustrating after being there a few times a month and having to deal with it every time. The store is usually fairly clean for such a large department store, and they usually have what you need. The amount of people in here sometimes gets a little crazy being on one of the main drags in Schaumburg. The checkout thing is very inconvient but there is also nothing that makes this store stand out against any other store like it. read more

I've had it with this Target. Went to shop for about 9 items tonight that we needed. Soy milk for our daughter and Selsun blue for her dandruff/cradle cap problem. Out of the 9 items what do we find missing from our bags...these two important items. Combined these items cost $10. Selsun Blue isn't cheap, neither is soy milk. We called and got the answer of we didn't find it but you're welcome to come back and get the items off the shelf and you don't have to pay for them. Um...we've already paid for them. This is about the 3rd to 4th time this has happened at this location in about 3 years. I'm starting to like Wal-Mart's rotating bag contraption because I don't lose the groceries I've bought. Now I have to go back and make a second trip to pick up the items that weren't removed from behind the bagging counter by the cashier. It's convenient and in a great location. Things are easy to find, and decently priced. They even have a newly added grocery section with fresh foods like potatoes, lettuce, bananas, etc. The only down fall is that those same fresh grocery items are cheaper next door at Dominick's. I come here about 3 times a week for groceries or any other essential needs. The service is great in case you need any assistance locating a certain merchandise. I am a huge gamer & I've recently found out about discount prices on all Xbox 360 games, including the hot title games such as Modern Warfare 3. I'll be sure to check in the electronics to see if my desired title is low priced lol. This review is specifically for the Customer Service desk and the associate helping me, Marissa. Marissa basically did not understand how to function as a Target employee. As I'm standing in a line of ~4 people waiting to make my exchange, I see her slowly meandering over to the customer service desk, peer at what the other associate is doing before slowwwwwwly logging into the POS machine and calling the next customer (and of course, as she's doing this the other associate, some huge grumpy-looking lady with her graying hair in a ponytail, takes this as her cue to meander way and stop helping customers. NOT HELPFUL WHEN THERE IS A LINE OF 3 PEOPLE WAITING). When it's my turn, Marissa doesn't call me up or even make eye contact to acknowledge that I'm waiting in line and instead starts to move things around in her register space, so I step right up and tell her I'd like to make an exchange. I have my item, my invoice, and the replacement item I'd like to exchange for - I hand all of these to her. Marissa did not know how to process my request on her POS machine. She asks "You have your credit card?" and has me put it in the machine a couple times, then says she can't find my order. What do you mean you can't find my order?? YOU HAVE MY INVOICE. AND THE ITEM IN THE ORIGINAL BAG WITH THE ORDER NUMBER STAMPED ALL OVER IT. Pardon my french y'all, but why the FUCK do you need to be messing around with my credit card if you have these things in front of you?! To make matters worse, I had purchased the item via Paypal, so y'all don't even HAVE my credit card information for the order because PayPal processed it with exactly that intent. But of course Marissa didn't ask me what payment method I had used, so we wasted all that time fucking around with my credit card in the machine. Marissa eventually asks her coworker for help (Big Grumpy Ponytail has returned to the customer service desk at this point, still ignoring the other customers waiting in line while she puts other customers' returned products in bins) and BGP doesn't know how to process the return either. Long story short, I left the store fuming and without having accomplished anything. This is not the first time I have experienced complete incompetence on the part of Target's employees (and the Customer Service employees specifically), and not just at this location, so Target - PLEASE TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES because a staggering majority don't seem to understand how to perform transactions. My issues with the staff aside, the store itself is wonderful. Well lit, often clean and stocked. The women's clothing area can get a little messy. The ladies who staff the fitting rooms are very pleasant. An extra star for all this. read more

Very dirty and unfriendly staff. They barely restock any of their items, so it's a gamble as to whether what you're looking for is in stock or not. I watched a worker answer a phone call from a customer who was looking for an item. The worker proceeded to tell the customer that she was going to check in back for the item, but simply put the call on hold and never looked at all. The floors, shelves, and parking lot is absolutely disgusting. Wrappers, cigarettes, toothpicks, etc strewn everywhere. It's atrocious. read more

On March 9th around 9:30PM I was in the store ready to check-out and there were NO registers open - not a single one. There was another woman behind me and she too was puzzled. When I brought this to the attention of the young lady at Customer Service she said it was "because they won't give us any hours". When I stood my ground and asked if that meant we couldn't buy anything she picked up the phone and then informed me rather rudely that "someone would be here shortly". Had I not been out of milk and cat food I would have left my cart right there and exited. So, I went over to the checkout area and waited, and waited. Eventually a young person ran over and said we were in luck "another 6 minutes and she was off". I live right around the corner and this store is my go-to store for almost everything and usually filled with people so I was most puzzled as to the management's thought process as to staffing. I frequent this target multiple times per week. This past week I accidentally left my wallet in the shopping cart. Within 45 minutes I returned to target to see if my wallet was there. Of course some PoS took it. Went to customer service desk and they didn't even answer my question. Called the police for them to look at security footage. lP wasn't on duty Sunday I had to follow up 7 times. Was told that they could only see me leaving the store, Monday I was told that they didn't see my wallet in the cart, yesterday I was told they could see the wallet but didn't see anyone take it. Wallet wasn't in the cart when the cart puller brought it in. I questioned did they ask the cart puller and answer was im sure they did. None the less I am out all of my identification. 500 in cash and I'm sure the person who took it works at the store read more

This is a decent Target. It's clean and open on the inside. The parking lot is generally busy but the prices always seem so high even when they say there is a deal. They have awesome carts made of some sort of plastic but they make shopping really convenient. CAUTION! They don't have as great a stock of items as other Targets in the local areas. I looked for those gas stove drain pans and magnetic clips and this Target didn't have either of them. I drove down to South Barrington and they had everything I needed. read more

Sigh Target...I love thee....my one and only issue with Target is, if its gone, then its gone. I swear they never have anything I want in stock in the back and they ALWAYS will get a shipment on Tuesday and they NEVER know what will be on the truck...yea whaaatever!!!! I love this Target though! The same people have been working here since the hubby and I moved to the area which is awesome to see. I love their dollar seciton (who doesn't), but it seems to be Fridays, where I always catch their 70% off! How can you beat their awesome dollar items for 25 to 30 cents!!!! You can't!!!! Management is good there...I had an issue once with the photo department and the manager gave me free photos, which I wasn't expecting at all. I like this Target location. Mainly for the fact that it is almost never crowded, it's well stocked, and the employees seem nice. Yes, they have a Starbucks, and a nice little cafe where I'll sometime go for lunch. They've transitioned this to a "Fresh" target with meats, breads, vegetables, and fruits, so that makes the place even nicer! It is kind of odd that they don't sell alcohol like most Targets that have upgraded to grocery, but it doesn't bother me. read more

I am so disappointed with my experience. This week target is doing a promotion along with At&T where you get a 250 dollar gift card if you activate an iPhone 11 pro. I have been trying to reach the electronics department and NO ONE answers the phone. I go into the store and there is so At&T rep, no one seems to know when one will be there and no one has a clue how the promotion works. Personally, I think the Glendale Heights Target is better in terms of selection, however, since this location is two blocks from where I work, I frequent this location a little more. Unfortunately, I can't give this Target a better review than 2 stars. Somehow, this Target does an excellent job of having an insufficient amount of cashiers open in the morning yet an abundance of associates walking around or talking. A few weeks ago, I had walked in around 8:20 a.m., grabbed the one thing I needed and headed to the registers. However, only one register was open and there were nine associates (I counted) standing around in a circle talking. I'm assuming it was their "morning meeting," but the conversation was very "Did you hear about that person yesterday?" or "Is she working this morning? When is she coming in?" It wasn't until I stared for about 5 minutes, my line not having moved yet, until a shift manager finally asked one of them to open another register. The line to the one register had reached six people, many on whom had full carts already. Then again, this morning, there was only one register open and about five people in line and three associates walking around. Again, there were people with full carts again and a shift manager asked one of the idle associates to open another register. I understand that the mornings usually aren't super busy, but I would recommend that this Target location have two registers open for the first hour, in case of those working professionals in the area or those homemakers who like to do their shopping first thing in the morning. Also, it's really frustrating when you see a handful of associates lingering around the registers and noticing the lengthy line, but still try to pretend they don't see the line or that they're busy... when they're not. Basically, my opinion of this Target location is: I'll go here if I have to, but I'd really rather not. read more

This is the closest location to my house, and generally the location I visit. I'm always pleased by the organization of the store, the politeness of the staff and their consistent willingness to help, and the selection of products. The cosmetic section is always clean (a rarity in this day and age), and the clothing racks are always well kept (including clearance - again, a rarity). The reason I'm finally writing a review is to remark upon a specific employee. Lizzet was incredibly helpful and efficient. She was friendly, neat, and smart. An item I picked up was missing a barcode and, without a thought, she knew exactly what to do to help (which she was able to do quickly). I think the most important part was how genuine she was with me, I couldn't help but be happy being around her. Some other people have mentioned poor customer service, which I have personally never experienced. Sometimes, if you want help, you have to go up to an associate yourself; I've worked retail for a few years, and I have to say, if you're expecting associates to roll out a red carpet for you and feed you grapes, you have to ASK! This Target is really going downhill...and fast! I used to love this location - it is so close to work so I frequent this location quite a bit. Lately, I really have been considering just holding off and going to another location, or just not going to Target at all. The issues: - Half of the items are never in stock. I don't know if they are discontinuing items, or if they just don't get shipments. Either way, I can't find what I want. - Prices seem to be going up. And the sales are not much of a sale...you have to buy 3 of something before you get a $5 giftcard? That's not a deal. - The employees have really poor attitudes. I can't tell you how many times I have overheard employees complaining about each other, the managers, or just being there in general. No offense, but that's not what I want to hear when I'm shopping. And I'm hardly EVER asked if I need help. - The Starbucks counter is really slowwwww, and they almost always have a line. A long line. After the whole information hacking fiasco, you would think they would be trying harder. Not so very much. read more

Super frustrating that Drive Up service is not available at this location. The spaces are there in the lot, but service is not available. All other stores in the area offer this service and I would expect that every location, even the one most conveniently located to me. Having a toddler, the drive up service is a Godsend. Rude, rude, rude. I watched Charles grab, squeeze, and throw the woman's produce in front of me like he was angry at it. Fine. No thank you or good-bye for her. Fine. My turn. Getting a greeting from Charles was like it was painful for him. Fine. He begins ringing me up and asks me for my driver's license so he can scan it into his computer... for Tylenol! FOR TYLENOL! When I told Charles I didn't want my license scanned, he told me he HAD to. When I told him he didn't HAVE to, he took my Tylenol away from me like I was a child and said, "Then you don't get any cold medicine." When is Target going to stop demanding to scan my driver's license? Stop telling me you HAVE to scan it! You don't HAVE to scan it, YOU WANT TO SCAN IT! You don't HAVE to scan it just like I don't HAVE to shop at Target anymore. Good bye, Target. Your employees are just as rude and ignorant as Walmart's these days anyway. read more

I bought a Lego set for my son's birthday recently. Upon opening the lego set today we discovered that the instructions were from another set. Furthermore, the pieces were in a zip lock bag. Clearly this item had previously been purchased, opened and returned to stock. My 6 year old son was devastated when he couldn't build his new lego. I quickly grabbed my receipt and went to Target where it was purchased. I spoke with an employee Becky who claimed to be the manager on duty. She told me that they won't take returns today, or exchanges. I asked why. Because of the 'Virus'. This was the explanation that I got from her. This is discrimination! She implied that I had a virus and could not exchange my product. There were people walking all around that store without masks and gloves on. How is it okay for people to be walking around, TOUCHING products including food and not have masks on or gloves. Target failed today. Its clear they will gladly take your money and not take responsibility when a customer has a complaint. If you are worried about a virus then you should not be open. We will never shop at a Target store after this b.s. reasoning. Again, its okay for the store to be open, allow customers to walk around without any protection on, touch product and spend money. This has to be the best Target I've ever been in. Everything was really well organized and seemed spread out. I didn't have my normal issue of feeling like people were right on my heels as I made my way through the aisles. It didn't seem crowded at all on a Saturday. Maybe I just got lucky?
