Wow this location Target on Coleman Ave. Is getting bad , there at 5pm and 10 people in one line and one checker trying to force people to use self check out ? Con men at the exit doors trying to bother people for money and hassling customers and the homeless walking around stuffing food and stuff down there pants saw two of them doing it and the Target Security just standing there by the self checkout area propped up on a check out shelf paying no attention what's so ever while I stood on line for 15 min . I asked a passing Target Associate for a manager as he was walking by, he said ok , and one never came I was going to ask that they open another line after looking behind me over 10 people in line , as I said only one checker open with like 12 of them closed . Then coming out with gangster punks bother people with pan handling ! No police anywhere it seemed which was surprising since the station is down the road . Looking like a Getto a lot of stuff not stocked in my opinion ‍ pathetic. Came home called the Target phone # to talk to a manager and make a complaint but the phone # just rang and Rang called twice same action no answer , KC the 1# cashier and customer service wasn't there , so the place seems to go to hell when he's not there ! I had an incredibly frustrating experience at the Target on Hillsdale Ave in San Jose. The service at the registers was abysmal. There were only two open registers that took cash, and the lines were 15 people deep. It was a complete waste of time. To make matters worse, all of their self-checkout lanes had cash slots but didn't actually take cash. When I spoke to the store's team leader, she said that the company "couldn't figure out how to make the self-checkout take cash." How is that even possible? It's beyond frustrating, especially when there's clearly a slot for it, but it doesn't work. I also asked the team leader for the district manager's contact information, but she couldn't even provide that. It felt like no one in the store was empowered to help or resolve the issue. I won't be coming back to this Target anytime soon. The poor service and lack of assistance really left a bad impression. read more

Target has definitely improved over the years. They may not always have the best variety of items and I've definitely ran into a few cases where the item I was looking for was out of stock. That being said the prices are reasonably comparable to similar style stores such as Walmart and I've noticed an increase in popular brands/better items overall. The customer service is about average. They're usually pretty helpful (especially the return department), but I've ran into a couple lazy employees here that were of little help to me. I basically did all of my Christmas shopping here last year and I was happy with the purchases made. I got a really nice shaving razor, a kurieg coffee maker, and a couple DVD's for around $100. I'm going to be returning here again for sure. If anything at all it's great for home decoration and little items for around the house. read more

I went to this Target Store today, and the crime around and this store is getting worse. Apparently, a customer was choked by an unhoused person in front of the store this morning. The unhoused person was held to the ground by another customer in the parking lot until the police could arrive. A passerby heard that this person had choked someone & proceeded to kick him on the ground very violently and walked into the store like nothing. I advised Target staff that this man was walking around there store like nothing & staff didn't care one bit. I guess it's ok to have a violent person assault someone in your parking lot & then shop In your store. I advised the police of this when they arrived on scene. Target staff tried to argue with me about this. Unbelievable. If safety is your concern, shop at a different Target. I know I'm never going back to this one. read more

I am not a fashion maven. I just like clothes that fit and make me look good. And, being frugal, which is a nice-nice word for cheap, I like getting some good clothes for small money. Target has some comfortable button down dress shirts in their Merona line that fit me well. I got one for a Christmas present (thanks SIs) and went back for 2 more. Even got one on sale. Sweet! Scored zippo on the Black Friday sale items last week. I had a few in mind, and when I strolled in they were all sold out. Darn. And the store was rearranged like a Pitcher Plant. It seemed like all the aisles and shelves were arranged to drive me further into the store. Of course the hordes of bargain starving shoppers didn't help my exit efforts one little bit. I shop at Target for my essentials, and come often enough to hit them up for my usual stuff when it is on sale. read more

Normally I stay away from stores like Target, but I was already in the area and needed to pick up a few things I knew they had. My experience here wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I asked the first employee I saw where the household items were, she pointed me directly where I needed to go, no problem. I ended up buying a few hand towels and some rugs for a really good price, under $25.00. Most of the isles were organized well, except for the kids clothing section which has some shoes and shirts thrown on the floor, I guess it's to be expected. I took off a star because the checkout line was really long, probably because they only had three cashiers working at the time when they really needed like five. Decent Target location, I'll probably be back again. read more

What the hell is the manager or whoever is in charge of the supply chain of this store doing? Reviews below are NOT an exaggeration. The shelves are unbelievably bare every time I go there. I understand unique items, but I am talking BASIC items that every department store in the world should have in stock 100% of the time. This place literally doesn't have half my list on the shelf every time I go here, and like i said, this is basic stuff like egg whites, paper towels, cotton balls, etc. I will go 15 minutes out of my way to go to the target on saratoga as I know they will at least have my items in stock and it won't be a wasted trip. I live on first/rosemary. is there any other major store super close by so I don't have to deal with this garbage? read more

I frequent this target very often and have never encounter any real bad customer service until my visit Saturday night. While i was at the register being rang up the cashier asked if i wanted bags and i replied no not realizing i had forgot my bags at home. So i asked the cashier if i could buy 2 bags he snapped at me "why didn't you say anything to me when i asked you now you want to ask me". If it wasn't for my husband i would've left right then without my $300 worth of items. But instead i sought out a manager who apologized for the poor quality of service i received and gave me some of there apology coupons which i appreciated. read more

This I can't deny, I love Target! From the 'Go International' lines to the music and the books, Target has all the good stuff. My cousin saved tons of money for her wedding in their dollar section. She found the cutest giftboxes to use with her wedding favors. We found those same giftboxes at the Paper Source in Santana Row for triple the price! To make a long story short, she sent all her bridesmaids (lucky us) on a hunt to every Target we knew of to look for those damn giftboxes. I'm a pretty read more » big Wal-Mart fan too, but Target has always been dependable for good quality stuff. « show less read more

The Target on Coleman Avenue in San Jose, once a reliable and convenient shopping destination, has recently seen a noticeable decline in safety and overall atmosphere. Increasing incidents involving loitering, panhandling, and uncomfortable encounters inside the store such as a recent situation where a customer was followed and pressured to buy items have left many shoppers feeling unsafe and hesitant to return. Without immediate corporate intervention to improve security and restore a welcoming environment, this location risks losing its customer base and facing long-term consequences. read more

First off, any big-time shopping stop that has a Starbucks gets bonus points from me. I love Starbucks. The fact that this Target has one inside for me to just meander over to whenever I need a hit of caffeine is both dangerous and amazing. Additionally, this store has just about everything I could ever need for my home, my style, everything. I love only having to drive to one store in order to grab everything on my shopping list. The arrangement of the store took some getting used to, but now I can navigate around there like a pro. I'm already writing up my list for next weekend... read more

I'm very disappointed with their customer service. I was there with my two & four years old kids. I was there to buy small items until this basketball hoop caught my eye. That was the only piece left. So I asked one of the employee to help me loading in my truck, since I was with my kids. He said they don't do that. I asked another employee 1st he agreed; and I saw the other person saying something and he came and told me no. It pissed me off so much. It looked like he wanted to buy that too. I did email the target branch hopefully they will do something about it.. read more

I really like this Target. Now while it is not very close to my home, it is pretty close to my work. As dangerous as it is I head over there after work to grab the things on my list the day after I get paid every two weeks. Pretty much laid out like any other Target I can run in, grab a cart, and get what I need. While I admit that i always end up getting a few items that are not on the list, I pretty much stick to my guns because I know I will be back in two weeks. super excited to check out how well their fresh produce section is going to work out. read more

Mr KC at the front end wow! Target you got a great employee. This man greeted us, told us to come over he was open. While scanning ouritems offered us the Target card and asked us if we needed anything else. We told him we had a hard time finding some cold medicine because most of the shevles were empty in the aisle. He helped us find some nearby. We got them and added on extra items just because he was soo great with customer service. KC thank you again I will be coming back here again, even though its a little farther than my Mckee Road Target. read more

Love Target Stores so they have that going for them. This location is in like most of them a busy plaza w/everyone in their own world walking, driving, standing in the way of one another, the cashiers are usually great, but they are ALWAYS OUT OF PRODUCT. You would think they'd have it down by now ensuring they have enough for people to actually be able to (one-stop shop)! That makes it a little frustrating. This store can also be a mess making it hard to know the price, if it's clearance, on sale, or even finding it at all. read more

I love going to Target. This store is about average for the chain. I was sad when they got rid of the garden department and put in more food. I loved buying flowers and herbs and always entered the store in the plant area. One of my favorite things about this particular store is the staff seem really happy. I think they must treat the workers well or just hire really good people. The prices are about average for a department store, but clearance items are always good fun. read more

It feels like this place has everything to fulfill all of your basic needs from groceries to hygiene products to clothing to electronics and everything in between. The store still looks new as if they opened recently but the store opened last year (according to the dates of the reviews of this place). This Target location has a Pizza Hut Express and a Starbucks, too. There is plenty of parking in front of Target but I feel that the aisle of the parking lot are too small. read more

I love Target...especially their kid section but it seems no matter how many times I come to this store's location they never have the sale item in stock. I even checked with a staff member thinking they had just ran out and trying to find out when it would be restocked...only to be told they hadn't gotten the sales item in time for the sale!!! WHAT???  So if you're looking for an item, I'd suggest calling before you drive down and possibly waste your gas & time. read more
