It's a difficult world right now and things happen, systems go down, errors occur. It resulted in double charges for me and potential gift card activation issues. It's really about HOW you handle it. I had an interaction with both their security and store managers. Arrogant and dismissive is my summary. Poorly managed. Long lines. Empty and unstocked dollar section. People in charge don't know how to manage issues with customers. Today - for example - there was a problem with a customer arguing over a price. Rather than move her to another register to sort her issue out they made all other customers wait for a third employee to help. Another employee then took the people at the back of the line who were not waiting as long as those on the front of the line. Finally when the third employee arrived she realized it was best to move the complaining customer to customer service. read more

Decent target, good to eat Pizza Hut, prices are good, good merchandise as well, all in all I would recommend this place surely.

This Target is spacious, clean and well stocked. However, the best part is the pharmacy staff. They are friendly and knowledgeable!

There isn't a whole lot I can say for Target in general, if you've ever been in one you know what to expect. It's a better version of Walmart, with fewer customers wearing pajamas and slippers to the store. We opted to stop in up here because we were already in Rockaway. I must say parking here is a gem compared to Fairfield. I usualy go there because I worked 2 minutes away but I would honestly shop here any day over that one. Also, seriously Target why do you always have 2 cashiers open?? Not acceptable, esp on a Sunday. Clothing wise sometimes this one will have a different selection than Fairfield, prob based on volume. This one actually has a clearance section which I can't say Ive ever really seen more than a rack or 2 in Fairfield. So yes, I am a fan. read more

Bigger than Wal-Mart, this store has it all. They have a good music selection not to mention friendly service and plenty of parking. One downside was that when I bought a bluray movie the cashier didn't open it up with the security key. My cousin brought it back to be opened, and I got my movie back without the key. They also have a Pizza Hut Express for your lunch needs, although there are better places to eat. read more

Very, very annoying. I went to this Target, skipping my local CVS for a reason. I had to buy something and I wanted to be discreet, so I used the self check out (also so I don't hear sales pitches). I was buying a few things, for which I paid with a Credit Card. One item (that I wanted to be discreet about) I purchased in cash.(because I don't want the advertisers to know my entire life). During the check out, a cashier/sales person came up, asked if I had a Target card. I said no. She took out the item from my cart, parading it in front of other people and telling me that I could save 5% on it with a card, she also said I forgot to pay for it. I told her that I'm paying in cash and that I don't want a Target card (because I almost never shop at Target and I don't plan to). Why did she feel the need to take out an item from my cart and embarrass me?? I use self check outs so I don't have to interact with the cashiers/sales people (same reason I use ATM machines.) I just hate the bull**** that I'm told. I am very annoyed and embarrassed by this interaction. read more

While we were here to get a few things I had to use the restroom. They were closed and there was a sign directing shoppers to the restrooms near the pharmacy. It was in an atrocious condition. The entire floor was wet, the garbage was overflowing with paper towels, of there were no more, no toilet paper, no seat covers to cover a filthy toilet seat. There was a sign on the door directing shopper to go outside to use a toilet in a construction trailer! If I could give this review zero stars I would. We were going to go to the Target in Fairfield after visiting our daughter in school but passed it. We will shop there or go to Walmart. read more

Went to get Starbucks and use the bathroom. The bathroom was SO disgusting we left. It defiantly had not be cleaned all day, the garbage was over flowing, toilet paper everywhere, toilets clogged. I told a lady manager and she didn't care at all. I then told the security guard and again it didn't phase him. read more

This target store is exceptionally great. I am there most likely 2-3 times a week. I get all the essecials there, including our perscriptions. The new marketplace section has everything I could need for that quick "stop off" thats not hectic like normal chain food markets. I highly recommend the market pantry cole slaw & mac salad. Never had an issue with any of the food I have gotten there. The womans department has all new things all the time, and always changing over the clearence. You can find everything & anything for baby too. Always a great stop for baby shower gifts! read more

Their pharmacy is horrible! Refilled scripts way early and then blamed me and said they would no longer fill valid scripts.And they screwed everything up by telling my doctor and another pharmacy when it was their fault to begin with. Not to mention all along they were billing the WRONG insurance company. read more

My experience wasn't with me but what I saw with my own eyes... Witnessed one of the managers be toxic with a few of the cashiers especially w/ this particular one (hispanics female cashier) His name is Bryan ( I asked one of the cashiers his name) why is he being so disrespectful with this young lady (cashier) taunting her demanding she get open these target cards (which you can't force a person if they aren't interested) he kept hovering almost harassing like over some damn store cards I didn't appreciate the condescending tone It took my husband to hold me back (we are an interracial couple) the young lady looked mixed & I saw as if the cashier is my daughter I wouldn't want her to experience the harassment, the embarrassment in public nor behind closed doors.. The young lady seemed so embarrassed it only showed me if this individual works here with such poor work ethics, obviously lacking respect for others because of race, culture & title.. management needs to re-evaluate there staff & monitor there behaviors... I will no longer come to this Target as long as this individual Bryan continues working here or perhaps he should be demoted to see how hard these cashiers work they deal with many different personalities & to have to deal with management too shows no support - have him open store accounts since he thinks he can be Boss others around. read more

This Target is one of my favorite places to get quick and easy items. The location is wonderful, right outside a bustling main mall. There is always parking. They have just what I need. People are still talking about the Fall Boots I bought there last year. The clothes are cute and affordable. My favorite part, hands down, is the customer service. Unlike other stores, I can always find someone willing to take time out to help me search for whatever product I need. The employees are always friendly and helpful. This Target is a delight to shop at. read more

I went to Target because I received a gift card for my birthday and I decided to visit the Rockaway location because the Hackettstown location has an extremely limited selection. Anyhoo- what a disappointment. The clothing department was an absolute mess. Clothes all over the floor and so many racks that my absurdly large plastic cart couldn't fit between without dragging them behind me. There didn't seem to be any effort to rectify the situation either. I was hungry so I purchased a personal pizza and a soda on my way out. Never again. The eating area was a dirty mess. Spills and garbage laying around. It's so gross and disappointing. It's frustrating to want to shop in a store just to leave empty handed and disgusted. I hope management reads this and really makes an effort to instill higher standards in their employees in order to provide a better shopping experience for their guests. read more

This was my first visit to this target and every sales rep I came across was extremely helpful. They knew where items were located and they themselves were also easy to find. I usually find that in department stores it's hard to come across a sales person when you need help- not here! read more

The target is usually fully stocked, there was a nice gentleman there named Dave that helped me pick out some cute clothes for date night. The lay out is kinda funky, not that other target stores I usually shop at. The major downside is that there are always lines , even on a Monday afternoon. But it's a great one stop shop. read more

The clearance clothing at this Target location is dreadfully messy- it's like sorting through a clothing donation bin. No separation of sizes, types, or articles. Marshalls is neater and much better organized. Also, do not leave your full cart near customer service to run out to your car or use the restroom! I needed to get my canvas bags from my car so I TOLD the customer service desk cashier that I was leaving my cart and would be right back. She said "OK" with a smile. I came back within 2 minutes to find 2 other employees UNloading my cart and adding other items to it. I said "that's my cart", and the cashier said "yes, that's hers". To the cashier and to me, they replied "you can't leave a cart here- it's not allowed- we get in trouble". Really?! Maybe tell ALL of your employees and put up a sign for customers. Maybe those 2 employees could have been CLEANING up the messes and not policing improperly parked carts?! The cashier when I checked out was exceptionally nice, however. Not quite getting the love of Target, honestly. Just my opinion, but it's a higher-priced Walmart. read more

I knew there was a reason I don't shop there. Most unpleasant experience with a "security" female which truthfully you are loss prevention so under what rights can you carry handcuffs or a need to? I am of a law enforcement background and know as loss prevention you cannot detain or arrest anyone just follow or observe. But anyways I was with my 20 yr old son purchasing some everyday items. It's 8:30 at night, no one in the store he decides to jump on a scooter that is there and goes around an aisle, next thing you know this teeny bopper, way to much makeup on, female comes full sprint down the length of the store and starts to "eject" and chastise my son while attempting to catch her breath. Now right away I'm on the defensive. My son is the most well behaved respectful young man I know, and I don't think that as the parent, it's what I'm told several times a week by friends and acquaintances. So she's like he needs to go, I said under what premise. She's like sir this is a store not a playground. I said I'm well aware of this miss, he was looking at the item to see if it was age appropriate for a friend. If they are not to be tested then it needs to be posted as such or the item needs to be secured to the shelf. No reply from her just he needs to leave, I said well we're finishing or shopping she's like no you're going to guest services to purchase what you he have he as to go. Not to make a huge scene I abided but requested the manager who when I explained the situation was more than apologetic. I said well I'm never stepping foot in here again. Toodles target. read more
