Fast forward to yesterday, my two girlfriends and I are in shopping, trying to cheer up one of us who recently had breast cancer surgery. One of us spent over $200, in front of the owner, and gave the bag to the other and said, "Happy Cancer." In reciprocation, friend with cancer bought two mugs that said, "Kindness." Again, gave them out, in front of owner, and thanked us. We left, and right outside the shop, while looking for car keys, one of us dropped mug and it broke. Owner refused to give a new mug. One of us went in and asked again, and owner said no. Bad business, right? Another goes in, and owner relented, with tears in her eyes, saying she can't absorb the lost. What about the loss of 3 customers? Owner then hands cash and I said, "Maybe this kindness will come back to you. Thank you." And she said, "I have long ago given up on that happening." I got home, and realized the mugs were $36 and she only gave back $28. Something is very off here. Never again.

The floor in that section was noticeably dirty, and there was a damp smell in the air, which made me uncomfortable enough to move on quickly. The other side of the store was much better and had most of the clothing. They have a men's section and a women's section, along with racks labeled for certain brands. Some racks weren't labeled at all, so you really have to take your time and look through everything individually to find pieces that stand out to you. Toward the back of the women's side, there's a shoe area, plus a children's section, lingerie, and hosiery. There's definitely a lot to browse through if you're in the mood to hunt for deals. I ended up finding a T‑shirt, a top, some trouser socks, and a couple of men's ties. I didn't see a large amount that I personally wanted to purchase, but there were a few decent finds. The store attendant -- possibly the manager -- was extremely pleasant and gracious. They offered me 10% off my total since it was my first visit, which I really appreciated. Would I return? Possibly, but more for a few small pieces rather than a full shopping trip. It's the kind of store where you might find a gem if you're willing to sort through a lot of inventory.

I believe cheap Maggie's is a store where they purchase overstock products and sell them in their store for a discounted price. For example they had UGG shoes on sale for $59.99. I purchased a timberland belt for $17.99. My mother brought a three items and she was given a $10 discount on each item and she paid a total of $114.97 for three items. Overall, I'm assuming the prices are fair because they are cheaper than what you would purchase them for at the actual store that they come from. I saw items from stores like Lululemon, American Eagle, UGG, and Bloomingdale's. I feel like you could find some cute items here you just have to take the time to actually look through the racks. As for the sizing I felt like I saw a lot of smaller sizes. I saw some large sizes but not many XL. Also, I don't recall seeing any plus sizes.

She told me she would get dresses in January for the next season. When I asked if she would still be able to get them by my daughter's April wedding I was told it depended on the gown and she wouldn't know until then.Well, that's not reassuring!! She asked what I was looking for and I explained that I was looking for a green gown for our daughter's April wedding. She immediately became irritated and huffily told me that she would show me around. She explained on the tour that they did not have any gowns that would 'fit' me in green (I am a misses 16/18) and that because it was the end of the season she could not order any of the dresses she had in a different size or color for either. She asked to see some images of gowns I had seen by a brand i liked she carries. I showed her several options. She pulled a VERY matronly gown out and said she could order this in my size and hem the sleeves off. I insisted that I did not like the dress and she wanted to argue about how it looked just like the image I showed her (it absolutely did not). She then pulled another dress out that was clearly NOT appropriate fora MOB and offered that. This was NOTHING like what I showed her. By this point I was beyond upset and frustrated because she kept restating that they didn't have much in my size....as if it reinforce I was fat. She said my only option would be to buy something off the rack or wait until she got new gowns in January. I asked if I waited until January if the gown would arrive in time for an April wedding. I was told she couldn't be sure until she knew which gown it was as not all gowns are kept in stock so there was no way to tell. This doesn't even make sense because all the gowns I showed her are fully stocked and orderable online. By this point I decided to leave as I was barely holding it together from giving her a piece of my mind. It's a shame because we went in with NO budget as long as I found something I loved. Considering they had an EMPTY store might have been a good idea to try and capture the $1,000+ sale. DO NOT shop here. They are rude, not size inclusive, and the selection is limited if they can not offer additional sizes and colors. Such a waste of an afternoon.
