I got measured up and when I got up to the register I was shocked to see the price. It was double what Men's Warehouse charges (got married recently. I know how much they charge). I thought to myself, ok it's a small shop. I'm sure they make up for it with great customer service, something large corporations can't always do. Fast forward to August. I get a call late Wednesday night to come pick up my tux. I couldn't get there Thursday due to work, so I show up first thing Friday morning. I get handed my suit and get shuffled out the door. I request to try it on and that's where all the problems start. My jacket was like 4 sizes too small. The manager of the store begins his rant about how this is my fault because I didn't come in on Thursday. I tell him he needs to fix it and he said it won't be a problem because there's tons of material in the jacket. I took the rest of my crap suit and went home. I go back the morning of the wedding and "Moe" started looking for my jacket. I try it on and nothing was fixed. Moe confirmed my suspicions and told me it was my fault because I didn't come Thursday (again and again). I go through the wedding with a suit that was pilled and looked like it was dragged behind a pick up truck for a few miles. Of course I had to wear my tiny ass jacket that I couldn't button. I looked like Chris Farley wearing David Spade's jacket in Tommy Boy. Oh and on top of everything else, my shoes were two different sizes. Not shoe sizes, physical dimensions. One was about 3/4" too small. When I returned this sad excuse for a suit, I asked for a refund because services were not provided and I pretty much got told to go fuck myself. The manager walked out of the store right in the middle of a conversation. I spoke to the owner (I think?) and he said we would be getting an insulting amount of money back (which hasn't happened yet a week and half later) and they don't automatically give you back your deposit. How many people are they scamming for 40 bucks because they don't know better. Stay away and just go to Men's Warehouse. They have more resources and they give you a lot more time to make sure your suit or tux is right. These guys are just assholes. Plain and simple.

The wedding was in California so I went with a local Tux shop in Torrance, CA, who told me my NJ groomsmen could and should get fitted at any Savvi Formalwear member in the country, as they knew best how to fit and measure them. I did a web search and found Sarno and Son in Rockaway. I told them I had a lot of guys to get fitted so I scheduled an appointment with them. I went with my guys on a Saturday morning and the employee there happily fitted all my guys. He not only took measurements, he had them try on sample dress shirts, pants and jackets to confirm the measurements. If you needed a neck extender, he wrote it down. If you wanted a tighter fitting shirt to show off your physique, he wrote it down. He filled out the form I gave him for each guy and he handed them to me when he was done. He was such a nice kid, I gave him a nice tip. If I ever were to rent a tux from a place in NJ, this would be the place. While I was waiting for my friends to get fitted, I browsed their book of tuxes, and they even had camouflage tuxes! Oh yeah! P.S. After you make all your friends come here for a fitting, bring them over to nearby Morris Tap and Grill for some craft beer!

I discovered that the seam on my pants had a 2 inch opening in the inner seam on the right leg of the pants. I received an email at 11:00 am on the day the tux had to be returned to remind me about returning the tux. I showed up at the store at opening time (12:00) and had to wait 20 minutes for the worker (in dirty pants) to open the store. When I questioned him as to why they didn't open on time, he said he had to attend a sweet 16 party the night before! Really? I had a wedding the night before! How about taking your job seriously and getting to work on time! I will look for a different store if I need to rent a tux in the future. Poor customer service!

I showed up on time for my appointment and was greeted by a very aggressive sales associate who told me that they did not have any dresses in the color I needed in my size and that because it was the end of the season they could not order anything for me. Let me say, I am a misses size 16. So not sure if that was a play here but she proceeded to show me one or two awful dresses she might be able to get. She told me she would get dresses in January for the next season. When I asked if she would still be able to get them by my daughter's April wedding I was told it depended on the gown and she wouldn't know until then.Well, that's not reassuring!! I was pretty much turned away. Complete waste of time. It is fall/holiday season! You would think they would have a selection of gowns for the holiday season, especially in dark green.... But nope! I came in here with no budget as long as I found something I love. It's a shame they were so awful. I obviously will not be back! My husband was with me and was so horrified by how rude they behaved. When we arrived the shop was completely empty except for us and the two women that worked there. I was greeted by a sales associate (I believe her name was Jo...but I honestly don't remember) who had a generally aggressive vibe but this is NJ so I let it roll. She asked what I was looking for and I explained that I was looking for a green gown for our daughter's April wedding. She immediately became irritated and huffily told me that she would show me around. She explained on the tour that they did not have any gowns that would 'fit' me in green (I am a misses 16/18) and that because it was the end of the season she could not order any of the dresses she had in a different size or color for either. She asked to see some images of gowns I had seen by a brand i liked she carries. I showed her several options. She pulled a VERY matronly gown out and said she could order this in my size and hem the sleeves off. I insisted that I did not like the dress and she wanted to argue about how it looked just like the image I showed her (it absolutely did not). She then pulled another dress out that was clearly NOT appropriate fora MOB and offered that. This was NOTHING like what I showed her. By this point I was beyond upset and frustrated because she kept restating that they didn't have much in my size....as if it reinforce I was fat. She said my only option would be to buy something off the rack or wait until she got new gowns in January. I asked if I waited until January if the gown would arrive in time for an April wedding. I was told she couldn't be sure until she knew which gown it was as not all gowns are kept in stock so there was no way to tell. This doesn't even make sense because all the gowns I showed her are fully stocked and orderable online. By this point I decided to leave as I was barely holding it together from giving her a piece of my mind. It's a shame because we went in with NO budget as long as I found something I loved. Considering they had an EMPTY store might have been a good idea to try and capture the $1,000+ sale. DO NOT shop here. They are rude, not size inclusive, and the selection is limited if they can not offer additional sizes and colors. Such a waste of an afternoon.
