I stopped by today on my way home from San Luis Obispo to see if this target had any wipes or disinfectant spray. I was shopping for myself and a high risk client, whom has cancer and is going through chemotherapy. I waited in line to make my two SEPARATE purchases like everyone, when I was told that it was a limit of one per customer. I informed this attendant that i was making two separate transactions -one for myself and one for a high risk individual. She responded that she will get her manager. I told the manager that when she approached i was shopping for a high risk patient and my self. This MANAGER had the gall to try and take the limit one item from my arms and told me she was refusing to sell me this product. I informed her AGAIN I was shopping for someone with cancer whom can not come get it themselves. I proceeded to the self checkout scanned the first order and she took the products from my scan station and walked away without giving me the information I asked for to be able to talk to her boss. I received nothing but discrimination and attitude! When i called the guest experience number the gentleman hung up on me!!!! During covid 19 and not allowing caregivers to make purchases for their clients such as disinfectant wipes and spray, and also allowing them to make a purchase for themselves at the same time, has not only made it difficult, but also states that corporate office rather force the one limit no matter what! instead of making sure that those whom can not go out and shop at this time get the product they need. This Target is one of the better ones I've ever been to. By that I mean, it doesn't look like it needs a serious remodel and it actually has customer service. The floor plan is standard as far as Targets go, but the cleanliness of the store should be noted. I have never come in, ever, where there were clothes on the ground, where products were shoved around on the shelves, where products were marked wrong or in the wrong spot, or just general dirtiness. That's pretty epic as far as Target standards go. I have had problems with customer service before. Hence the 3 stars. I'm not trying to be an a**hole when I mention this, but maybe certain employees need to be re-trained on friendly customer service and what's acceptable to say and not acceptable to say. I've had 2 encounters in the past with an older, white male cashier who had made a rude comment to me and has also been incredibly creepy. I actually would rather wait in a line full of 5 people than to be served immediately by this cashier. Also! I must never forget this because it is the sole reason why I frequent this Target aside from location: CLEANING PRODUCTS. They have a pretty good selection and if you look really hard you can find amazing deals. I went to talk about phones in the electronics department and has a horrible experience. The way I overheard the manager talking to his subordinates was EXTREMELY disrespectful. He looks like he does not know how to manage people at all. He had attitude when I asked questions, and seemed to not care. This place is a clone of the other modern Target stores. It is a sanitized, brightly-lit, and organized one-stop shop with decent selections and reasonable prices. If you like consistency and convenience, this Target is a great place to shop. But if you prefer eccentric boutiques with distinctive personalities or local flavors, this may not be the place for you. read more

I shop at target a lot in the evenings and always had a pleasant shop hence why I continue to shop there. Lately however the employees seem to be young and are too busy goofing off. The manager doesn't seem to mind this behavior. To get help I have to wait til I get to the front to ask a question but by then I'm over my shopping trip and I'm not walking back through a store. Love the cashier debbie though. I think she can tell how irritated I've been and always has a joke to make me smile or is just plain understanding. Shopping for a TV over the weekend and found by far the best selection and prices at Target Paso Robles Store. They had the last TV in stock I was shopping for and went out of their to sell me the display model, find a stand and remote. Took it home and it all works beautifully. This Target has progressively gotten worse and worse over the years with customer service. Empty shelves and never enough registers open. Last experience there the store never posted any signs that their systems were down so after spending an hour finding what groceries I could, I got up to the front of the store and was told cash only. Needless to say, I was quite annoyed and left my cart and walked out. Worse Target in the area. They don't care when you file a complaint either. Unbelievable. read more

Customer felt threatened by a barking and lunging 125# German Shepard "service dog " INDIDE of Target trying to get a prescription. This dog's behavior was also reported by a male customer as being out of control!! I should have just called 911 because when I called Target Corporate Guest Service. The man would not take my information and let me know what their next step is. He actually was rude and said "I could hang up and call you right back but my response would be the same "!!! Where are my rights as a customer? Do I have to worry about being attacked by a "service dog" while trying to refill a prescription?? read more

I'm not sure why this Target has so many bad reviews. This is a very nice Target, and I've been to many that were not. It's not super huge and it doesn't have the most modern floor plan that some Targets have, but it's always neat and well stocked and employees are friendly and willing to help. I've never really had a problem with too long of lines at this location, and late at night, yes there may only be a couple cashiers, but there's also usually only a handful of customers in the store. The 6 self checkout kiosks they added really help too, and are convenient when you don't have a ton of items. It's also located right off the freeway, so it's easy to find for those unfamiliar with the area. read more

If you're wondering why the shelves aren't stocked, it's because all their employees congregate in front of the store.

Although this Target store is somewhat smaller than average in my opinion, it is clean and well-lit. And if you are looking for a certain item in their weekly flyers, chances are that item is probably in stock. I went in here as a last resort when I couldn't find the storage items at the Target in Santa Maria, and sure enough this location had what I was looking for. It also looks fairly new, given that there is a Pizza Hut Express and Starbucks inside to give the store some class. read more

I love this Target! It's always clean and staff is friendly. I love the way they set up the seasonal and dollar spot areas. They always carry good quality products and everything is so nice I just want to buy everything. I shop here all the time and I really love that they have the store brand for food and their brand offers organic versions that are very affordable. They carry a lot of allergy and special diet friendly foods. I do almost all of my grocery shopping here. One thing I don't like from the grocery area is the salad because they only carry one brand and it tastes bad. I also wish they carried more produce but I still give it 5 stars. read more

Been here multiple times. Parking lot is usually easy to navigate. Store is clean. Employees usually don't greet me unless I'm at the register, where they're really friendly. Store is laid out nicely, easy to find my way around. Music department didn't have a CD I wanted that had just come out. Not a big deal, but disappointing since I'd driven up for it and other things. For the past week I've been trying to have a CD ordered for pick up in Target. Twice now it has said the product is in stock, to no avail. Have wasted my gas and time enough, so now I'll take my business elsewhere. Their phone lines are all mixed up, their electronics department never helps or answers their phone. Target has always been one of my favorite places to shop. I would spend more then if it saves me from having to go to Walmart. But this is the first Target that makes me want to go to Walmart instead! And that is pretty bad. The store is ok , they do lack good stock and the layout sucks. But my biggest problem is the cashiers. They have to be the least friendly I have ever come across. No one smiles they are rude and they don't want to help anyone! This visit to Target was the absolute worst shopping experience of my life. I entered the store at 9:58pm to purchase Orange Juice and Dog Food. At 10:00pm the lights started to dim and I knew (common sense) they must be closing. Good thing I already had the orange juice in the cart, now all I needed was the dog food and I'll be set. At 10:01pm, a woman with a radio yelled from across the room, "Sir, we are closed! You need to make your way to the front!" as if I'd been keeping them for quite some time. I made eye contact across the way and gestured that I understood. As I proceeded to the dog food isle, the woman yelled "Sir! Your going the wrong way! You need to make your way to the front! I said, "Ma'am, I understand, I just need to grab some dog food and I will be all done." At this point it was 10:02pm. The woman, who was very heated at this point, walked toward me, grabbed her walker talkie and said, "I still have a guest who won't leave!" To which I replied, "Ma'am, please, all I need is dog food and I will be on my way." To which she replied, "And all I want to do is go home!" At this point I thought to myself, this just isn't right and this woman is completely out of line. If she only knew I just worked a 12 hour day serving people and all I wanted to do was go home... but that's beside the point. As I reached for the dog food, she stood a few feet away and continued to speak into her wallow talkie saying "I still have a customer that won't leave!" almost as if she was taunting me. I grabbed a bag of dog food, placed it in my cart and said "You know, I never complain, but I think I'll speak with your manager on the way out." To which she yelled "My name is Barbara!" which I guess was funny to all the co-workers listening. I've worked in customer service for over 12 years and I could never imagine a situation where I would treat a customer so poorly. And the part that truly hurts is how loyal we are to Target over other stores. In customer service, it's all about the delivery. Serious training needs to be done. Their grocery section is fantastic. Good deals on pantry type of foods. Their produce seems higher priced than regular grocery stores, but for their boxed and canned stuff it all seems to be a pretty good deal. Checking out can be somewhat of a nightmare as they never seem to have enough checkstands open and their customer service has a tendency to leave something to be desired. Went in there to look at buying a BBQ for the house. The selection was week at best (2 models) and both appeared to be broken. Not a good sign if you ask me. The store was pretty clean but a lot of shelves seemed to be lacking inventory and need a lot of attention. After researching a television in the Sunday Target ad, we decided to buy a 32" Vizio in the store. When my husband and I got there "Kimberly was somewhat helpful, trying to find the Vizio in question. She could not, ok we bought another more expensive television, good for Target. After paying for it we noticed, on our receipt, that we were charged twice for the recycling fee. We asked why the double charge, she didn't know,"it's in the computer that way". She made no attempt to find out why so I asked her to please find out why. She asked the guy working next to her. He also didn't know nor did he try to find out why. "It's that way in the computer." My husband said, "it's only $4.00". $4.00 x umpteen million people buying electronics.! We went to the front of the store, I asked a salesperson for the manager. By now, I am really curious why the double charge and why no one can explain it. We asked her to tell us why the double charge. She didn't know either, so she just gave us $4.00 in cash. Check your receipt, it may be only $4.00 to us but a lot of money to either Target or Whomever gets recycling fees. Target Paso Robles, please train your employees a little better in electronics customer service. By the way, I bought a Starbucks coffee with the money the manager gave us. Thanks Target. read more

Store never has any cashiers other than 2 VERY slow ones working in the evening because they have self checkout but it's quite a pain with kids but be warned if you say anything those two cashiers WILL talk behind your back. Women's bathroom is constantly trashed and never stalked, and customer service never cares and even chuckles at you if you complain. Since they switched to CVS pharmacy it takes 30 minutes at minimum to drop off or pick up rx's. Used to be at most 10 minutes when slammed. Plenty of supervisors always standing around though never helping with check out at front end or customer service. So be prepared to wait around just to be helped. read more

There is another local smaller market in Templeton where I buy most of my food, but If I didn't have Target I would be limited in my choices for appliances, clothing, food and beverages, beauty items, cleaning items, etc. I have especially noted the great selection of brand-name-type food items, vast cleaning selection, fresh produce in a hurry, eco-friendly household goods, special diet items (i.e.glutin-free food, brands of kombucha, dairy-free Ben n Jerry's, diet A W root beer.) Their appliance and housewares section always has fabulous items. I have bought numerous greeting cards there, makeup, clothing, holiday decor, pet supplies, and I love the popcorn. I also know of the checker she mentioned. He has been there forever, and I like him. He is quirky and nice and funny, and sometimes he hums. He has been helpful and informative at times as well. It has never crossed my mind that someone would find him objectionable, but as the old expression goes, "it takes all kinds." read more

Not very impressed at all. Went here today to find some workpants, and of course they didnt have what i needed. I understand that my pant size is pretty normal, and they prob just ran out, but i couldnt get a straight answer when i asked when their next shipment would come in. Aside from pants, their mens workout clothing dept is extremely limited. When asked by Kaylee (register), if i found everything i was looking for, i replied that they need to restock their mens dept. She said "oh sorry abt that"in a really "i could care less"manner, andjust rushed me through the line. Time to brush up on those Customer Service skills princess. After a full day of shopping and a few horrible customer service experiences I thought I should rave about two workers here at Target. Tim in electronics definitely went above and beyond. I shopped both in SLO and Paso today and he stood out as the most helpful and knowledgable employee I ran into. Then Kailey (not sure of spelling) was friendly, fast, and efficient at checkout. I just went in to have a Rx filled. Target Pharmacy staff was wonderful. The Pharmacist actually spent the time to explain my medication to me, asked questions about my Diagnosis from the Dr. and was very kind. The shelves are stocked every day the floors are cleaned daily as well as the restrooms. All of their employees bust their asses working really hard. I commend them for getting up early to work hard very hard to keep the store nice and neat for the customers. There's not one bad thing to say about that store. I absolutely love love love that store. Also everyone there is helpful considerate nice and friendly. If you need any help all employees are happy to help the customers with anything they need. I decided that I had to many negative experiences at WalMart. My first shopping experience at Target I purchase dog food and shoes for me. I walked out with without the shoes I just purchased, both the checked and my responsibility to collect my purchase. I called, and explained what happened, and was told to come to store and see customer service. A young man in customer service looked like the world was on his shoulders. I said to him come man smile it can be that bad. His return, I don't smile ah come on smile, he repeated I don't smile. In a disrespectful way he asked what do I need, he went into the back room came out with my shoes, are these the shoes he asked. He gave me the shoes, no apology on behalf of the store. I decided to talk with the store manger about my first experience. I walked up to the office, (here is a laugh), there where two staff people neither smiled. I asked for the manger, they made no effort to comply until I displayed some anger. They treated me as if I had done something wrong. I spoke with a very nice lady who was the manger, and explained my experience. I am retired now after over 50 years as a owner of a sales and marketing agency. I know how employee behaviour needs to be when dealing in a retail environment. Target did no pass the very first test. The behaviour of the employees fall directly on the manger of the young lady store manger. I do hope that she took serious our conversation. It time that when we shop in any situation that we are treated with respect and greeted with a warm hello smile. read more

I visited this Target and it has the worst customer service I have ever experienced at a Target. I saw a merchandiser kicking around a toilet paper package in the aisle and having an attitude as he was doing it. When I went to return an item, I waited for a bit and then someone came to help. I went up to her and told her I had an item to return and she said I had the wrong receipt and said nothing else. I said owe sorry and I bought it with my Red Card. There was some silence and then she said swipe the card. Did it and then told me amount back on card. Said nothing else. I had another item to return and by time I took out the item, she said nothing, walked away from the register and left. I had to go back and wait in line again. I waited 10 minutes and and told the next associate what happened and thought not very nice. She just said sorry and did transaction. At least me showed some customer service. Then I went to pay for some items. The cashier never said the total. Just stood there. I swiped my card. I didn't realize I had one more button to push for the transaction to go through. I figured it out my the cashier just standing there, not looking at me and looking at cash register screen not saying anything and then let out a big huff. Time is going by and I was now annoyed at the behavior and looked at the cash register screen and the card screen and realized on my own I needed to answer one more question. The cashier gave me the receipt, I took my items and he never looked at me and said nothing. Just went on to the next customer. I would have given one star but gave two stars because I like the store. Will continue shopping there and next time will be prepared for bad customer service. read more
