A-OK! I was looking for a particular item. I went to a different Target, employee there called this store to try to help me find the item. Whoever picked up the call at the Palm Desert store said item was not available. I was disappointed and went home, next day went online to Target website to see where they would carry that item. I was surprised to see it was "available" at this Palm Desert store. I drove out there (I really wanted it!), found out not only did they had the item, but they had 7 of them. I'm thinking whoever picked up the call from the other Target wasn't interested in checking to see if item was actually there. In the end, I got what I wanted, and got to see a very clean and well organized store. Employees were friendly, several lanes open, short lines ... A-OK! read more

This rating is for the phone tech/electronics session! Rafael is awesome. Super knowledgable. So is Sylvia. Both are very friendly and thorough with great customer service and a sense of urgency. I keep two phones around and need the help to keep things straight. The other younger brunette gentleman whose name I did not catch, didn't want to help me whatsoever when I came in with my newly purchased pre-paid phone. He gestured his hand in a way that showed he was annoyed by me being there, he had no interest in answering my questions, and I basically received the customer service of an amateur teenager just learning his first job. Easily the worst customer service ever! I would get better customer service at Dollar Tree and that says A LOT! 50+ people trying to check out with 2 cashiers actually working and 2 going on break right at the busiest and worst possible time, with no one coming in to take their place! I shop this store multiple times a week and I am VERY upset! I took 3 items in to return today and only had a receipt for one of them. They refused to take the two items that I did not have receipts for back! Here it is after Christmas I have 3 kids who end up with multiple of the same gifts and Target won't return them because I have reached my "non-receipt limit" of $75!!! I spend tens of thousands of dollars there yearly and they can't return 2 items, which are still in stock at there store that totals maybe $45!!! RIDICULOUS!! I will be asking family and friends to no longer buy gifts from Target!! read more

Everyone in the store I interacted with was so helpful and friendly. When I got to the checkout there was an employee named Arthur. He was rude and disrespectful. I got $100 in school supplies for my kids. One of the items were post it notes. They were ringing up for $5.89 but the sale sign said $3.97. I asked if he would go back to the aisle so I could show him. He picked out a similar item from the checkout and said that if that item was $2 that my item couldn't possibly be $4. So I went back and took a picture. I finally had to talk to the manager (Malika) who fixed everything. She charged me the correct amount. I understand that things get rung up wrong. Selection is ok. Employees seem like they have a chain and ball. Anyway, came in to buy a few items. One item they had was 35 dollars cheaper on amazon. I asked one employee if they price match. She said yes. When I got to the register I asked again and the employee stated that they don't at this time until December. There's a blackout time frame. So I didn't purchase the item at target. I ordered it online at the store from amazon. Target lost my business. This is why amazon is dominating the business. read more

I used to love this Target (Palm Desert) but recently, it closed down Food Court. It'll be only for Starbucks. So, no more pizza or hot dogs. This Target also closed Guest Service ( I heard it opens only Sunday). There are not many customers inside the store. Target employees disappeared too. I saw 2 in the register. That's it. I never saw security personnel anymore either. So, if something happens (For example. Crazy homeless guy shows up & starts harassing you), call 911 ASAP. I still like this Target, but fewer employees & no security personnel aren't good sign. I hope Target Corp. doesn't close down Target Palm Desert location. What went wrong in Target stores in Canada isn't each Target stores fault, but the corporate management made a mistake. Don't punish my favorite Target, please! read more

This Target is the shizznit. From now on, any time I am in Los Angeles and I need to go to Target, I am going to put pedal to the metal and head for the Indian Canyon Target. Who cares that it is a minimum 4 hour drive to get there and back no including shop time. I scored big at this Target, I think because there is almost no one around the Palm Springs area during the 105 summer and fall. I scored my favorite tennis skirts for $8 bones each, and a couple cotton blouses in size smalls. I am lucky if my ghettos ass Target in Eagle Rock has a gosh durned box of freaking tampons and an old US magazine, much less latest fashions and high quality sportswear practically for free. read more

I live in Palm Springs and frequent this Target all the time!! I love most the staff here, Brandie, Matt, Shaq, JoBeth, Mackenzie are all amazing!! They're all so sweet to my 3 year old and he just loves coming in to see them and asks for them by name! They're all so helpful and it's constantly a good shopping experience! read more

Target is the kinda place where you go & you never really need help & no one helps you. That's perfectly fine. I work retail so I get it. However once someone does ask for your help it would be nice if you treated them like a valued customer & not a person that's wasting your time. The person who helped me was Solana. Not sure if it's spelt correctly but whatever you get it. There's plenty of targets in the valley & I won't be coming to this one anymore. Oh also I got sight of another manager/supervisor who was helping another pair of customers & they said it was like Kelly (manager) was running away from them. Totally got that vibe, we made eye contact & she looked away. This target needs new management. read more

Nice clean store with well-stocked shelves. The cashiers have been efficient and pleasant, but I can see how peak times may be short-staffed. Stop at yardhouse for a pre-shopping drink to enhance the experience. They seem to be trained to not put more than five items in one bag. I try to remember my reusable bags which I fill myself, but I'm only human. So unless you want a bunch of plastic, ask them to fill those bags up! I think I'm getting burned out on target but I'm sure I'll be back. Next time I'll try the Starbucks. read more

Clean, well stocked and lines are never annoying. This is a piece of heaven compared to other places in the area along Hwy 111.

It is sad but we are watching the slow decline of Target and this location is a prime example. I visited the location a couple of days ago and the weather was nice and it was a weekend. The parking lot which used to be almost full now looks like a Kmart. Customer service at the highest level sucks. I had several issues with purchasing expired products and decided to contact corporate which contacted the store manager. He emailed me back asking for a good time to contact me, I answered back and never got the call and my follow up email was ignored. The Cartwheel app used to have alot of great deals now it is esoteric stuff you buy once a year. For some strange reason the snack bar/Pizza Hut was replaced with a Starbucks. They don't have a garden center anymore. And as others have said their product choices (especially in clothing and shoes) isn't what it used to be. Their prices are no longer competitive with Walmart so I am sure the Neighborhood Store across the street is taking business away and now there is an Aldi in the same parking lot. Almost everything in the Target grocery section can be bought at Aldi and for less; and sometimes it is organic and still less. Target has lost their way much like Mervin's did when Target owned them. It looks like by putting in a Starbucks and jacking up the prices they think they will get the higher end customer that shops at Whole Foods but it ain't happening. The Indio store was fantastic and it stayed in business through the 'great recession' but closed in the last year. Not because people don't have cash but because you get more for your dollar somewhere else. Kind of sad actually but they need to get it in gear before the Palm Desert location really tanks. read more

I go about one a week. I love to walk around in this store. They always seem to have something I need. Seems to always be clean and stocked.

Sold me a bike with a flat tire. Would not take responsibility for it and replace it. Had to pay a bike shop.

I went to Target in search of a cardigan and some sandals for my daughter. Clothes were in disarray and I was greeted with a shoenadoe! I didn't take a picture of the clothes because I thought fluke some kid was being a pain. Boy was I wrong. Multiple employees passed these messes and did nothing to right them. I went to use the restroom after deciding that I didn't want to scavenger hunt for 2 items. Again nothing but a mess and 2 employees entered and instead of getting someone to clean the restroom they just tried to acquire the "cleanest" stall. read more

Love the Starbucks located in the Target. My favorite thing about Starbucks is the .50 iced coffee refills (free for gold card members)!!! I grab a iced coffee when I walk in, do my shopping and then grab a refill on the way out. read more
