The person who fixed them warned me that the worst frames could possibly snap but he'd give it a try. You can tell they know their stuff too because he knew exactly where I had purchased each frame. 10 minutes later he came back with all of my frames fixed. Gave me a new nice case, and sent me on my way with lollipops for my kids. No charge. Seriously good service. I will definitely go back there when its time for my next exam. But I attributed it to maybe she was having a bad day or something. When I picked up my glasses, she just handed them to me, and when I put them on, they were so obviously crooked on my face. I told her they were crooked, and she did a BIG HEAVING SIGH, took them from me, and went back to adjust them. She returned, they were still crooked, and she reluctantly made a second adjustment. She acted like I was annoying her. Zero spirit of service. I recently went in for my annual appointment and things went downhill from there. The same optician was curt to me, mentioning to me that the doctor was running "a few minutes late". Understandable. I asked a few clarifying questions to the optician about timing because there was another appointment going on, and another person waiting there, and she started to get combative and nasty with me. And then, wait for it, she called me "honey" in a derogatory manner. Yes. It's 2026 and a female patient is being called honey by a woman who is clearly unhappy at her job. I asked, "Did you call me honey?" She said "Yup!". I asked her to cancel my appointment. Sadly, I really like Dr. Ding here, but I'll just go back to my prior eye place in my old zip code. I predict that this employee has gotten away with a nasty attitude for a long time. Sometimes, workplaces have people like this.... you know the type, the miserable witch everyone knows is unpleasant to everyone.... and somehow, they are allowed to stick around because nobody has the guts to correct poor behavior. Nasty work. Nasty nasty work here.

She basically tried to correct my understanding as quick as possible then pass me off to another employee even though I was just feeling anxious and needing to ask a question about how the delivery of the lenses would work. I then ultimately started to ask the other employee my question and she tried to insert herself back in the conversation even though she already had tried to get rid of dealing with me. She had a lot of eye rolls and frustrated tone in her voice to the point I held my hand up to try to stop her from trying to interact with me. I let her know she looked frustrated and I would ask the other employee my question. She may have felt like she was repeating herself but I just was trying to understand if I got what she had originally said. I was anxious and really had never been a customer at Visionworks before but my company is incredibly cheap and treats us employees like peasants so I ended up only be able to use my vision benefits here... at the end of the day there is no reason she had to be this irritated in this situation. It's not my fault you deal with such a high Medicaid patient volume (as you noted previously to me).. I'm a customer/patient just trying to understand things, it was not my fault you were in a bad mood or you took something I said the wrong way, be accountable and don't take whatever is bugging you out on me. Be better at politely answering and having some grace. It was SO clear she woke up on the wrong side of the bed today, she shouldn't have been this annoyed from the start of the interaction as she was...I hope she finds a job that makes her feel less stressed out. She owes me an apology but I'll take just never going back there again and seeing her miserable face.

This place is as good as closed, lights are rarely on and doors are locked regardless. The phone doesn't even give you an option to leave a message. Multiple reports have been filed against this establishment via the Norwood PD, but no sincere effort has been made by them to follow up with any information. I am filing a report with the Attorney General's office, this place needs to be shut down and made to repay its customers!

Exceptional Service from Start to Finish!…read more I was walking by For Eyes Optical last week and decided to just pop in--and I'm so glad I did! I was warmly greeted by Lia, and after chatting for a few minutes, she told me about the Labor Day sale they were having. She showed me a couple of frames that she thought would look great on me, and she was absolutely right! She even wrote down the frames for me so I could think about it. I told her I'd be back, and she probably thought, "Sure, I'll never see her again!" Well, she was wrong! Lia made such a wonderful impression on me that I went back today with my prescription, and we ordered the frames we had picked out together. And then, somehow, I ended up purchasing a pair of sunglasses too! The entire experience was so easy, relaxed, and enjoyable. Lia was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and genuinely interested in helping me find something that looked great. There was absolutely no pressure--just fantastic customer service. I would highly recommend For Eyes Optical, and especially Lia, to anyone looking for new glasses. ZERO COMPLAINTS. 1) Very personable and relatable. He cares not just about your eyes but you as a whole person, how life is etc. 2) Takes his time to continue the exam and discussion until you are completely satisfied with your prescription. (The only other eye doctor I've had like that was also from 4 eyes in Newton) He even gave me an alternate script so I wouldn't have to come back for another exam just in case I didn't like the first one (which was perfect on the first try) Twice when I had questions (that weren't even urgent), he got on the phone right away and addressed the problem. 3) The whole staff really go out of their way to help you with anything you need, whether it's: -saving a list of all the frames you like whether on not you end up getting any. -thorough cost/quality comparison. Looking up the cheapest way to get frames/contacts/discounts through them or from someone else online. -I particularly like that he gives specific brand recommendations which spared me trial and error. 4) Whether by appointment or a walk-in, I was seen right away, even once when I came in 10 minutes before they closed and he still had more patients to see. They are really understanding if you have a tight schedule and offer as many times as they have until they find you one that works for you. Very grateful to have found this practice.
