The pharmacy here has zero customer service. The young lady with the foot scooter did not want to be there. I approached the counter she was arguing with a coworker. She did not even look at me. The checker Jacob saved us from extreme pain and disappointment! My kid earned some money and wanted to buy Fortnite V-Bucks, as one does. While checking out with Jacob, he saw that someone had scratched off the code on the back of the V-Bucks gift card. Someone could have had the code loaded in their system and stole the V-Bucks. (Worst case scenario!) Jacob saved us from a potentially tragic Saturday morning, where I'm sure I'd never had figured out what occurred. Thanks Jacob! read more

Too many complaints on the age restriction! I go to this target on a regular basis.. at least 3 times a week... and I have seen security treat all minors the same weather boys or girls. I have witnessed 3 instances prior where teens where misbehaving and security kept asking them to stop and they wouldn't. The worst was when I saw teens hitting the tv screens trying to break them and security didn't want to cause a scene so they just followed them. People forget that rules are different now, you pretty much can't detain anyone these days! And top many kids hang out at the mall... so yea, I'm happy they don't allow unaccompanied kids inside the store, and yes I have a kid, and no I wouldn't want him behaving that way anywhere! Two days ago I purchased a ping pong table for the family room. Today it went on sale for 70 dollars less. I went into the HIP Target service desk and explained my surprise to the Angel working the counter named Angelica. She couldn't have been cooler and more accommodating. She refunded me the difference without hesitation. I've used drive-up at Target a few times before the pandemic, but after it was an absolute must. I really appreciate that they don't charge and never have. When I've picked up from the Norridge store, the staff member has either been waiting for me when I pulled up or was out within a minute. That is great! Target has also switched up their pickup mechanism so you'd don't have to have them scan a barcode on your phone and then sign for your pickup; instead, the app generates a confirmation code that you can tell or show the person who brings out your items and that completes your transaction. read more

For the most part, a Target is a Target - unless it's one of those mini city Targets that don't usually hit the mark - and this one is like most other Targets but I felt like this one had more options, more stuff in stock, and just a nicer vibe than other Targets. I went late at night once so it might be different during the day, but I encountered friendly staff, not that bad of prices, and a nice selection of everything I was looking for like home organizing stuff, cleaning solutions, food, and also beer. One other bonus during the pandemic is this place is not in Chicago, so it doesn't have to stop selling beer and wine at 9pm. The staff seems to be doing a good job keeping this place together during the covid months and it seemed to me like a good place to stop by for every day odds and ends. read more

Staff wear masks and they offer free mask for people who forgot one right on the entrance. Highly recommend shopping here. Prices are affordable, you can find lots of items on sale. Why is there an age restriction!! I am a single mother who sent my young boy to go grocery shopping as I do not have the time myself since i work 2 jobs. I find out after a long day of work that he was kicked out because hes under 18???!! this is not a good business practice, and im disappointed that I now have to find a schedule to go grocery shopping when it could be simple as my son to get it done for me. The store has been very organized, and the shelves were fully stocked. I used the Target app on my iPhone to locate where the items were in the store. I grabbed them and finished shopping in a few minutes. Excellent experience. I've always loved shopping at Target, but today they went above and beyond with their curbside delivery. The extremely polite and professional young lady was waiting for us with our merchandise in hand, we didn't have to wait at all. She was so friendly, it was nice to have great service with a smile. With the same merchandise in every store, what makes one better than another? The cleanliness, the spacious corridors, an indoor parking lot and location. That is what you will find at this target. Located within the HIP mall, there is plenty of indoor parking and over 100 other stores for a complete shopping trip. With 2 floors, it's like visiting 2 stores  in one: the 1st floor has electronics, sporting goods, toys, menswear, boys/girls wear. A Starbucks cafe is also available for those of you who need your caffeine fix. The second floor has the pharmacy, home decor, groceries, shoes and women's wear. Each floor has cashiers which makes for good service when checking out; where they fall short is in the floor service. Not that it is all bad, employees are actually  friendly and helpful when you can find one. But there are so few of them, you often have to fend for yourself. Another minus is that carts can not be taken out of the store. They lock up. So if you plan on buying multiple or bulky items, you better have a friend to help you carrying your items out, or to wait for you to bring the car around. read more

This is not so much about the store and what they offer, but rather about their policy about unaccompanied minors. I get it, there have been issues and there is a policy in place that kids under 18 are not allowed. My beef with that is, that it needs to be either applied to ALL kids under 18 or none. You can't let groups of teenage girls go in and deny two boys entrance 2 seconds later. That's absolute BS. My son was denied to buy a bottle of water at the Starbucks ALONE - his friend waited outside after they got kicked out before. And the other thing is, why don't you keep those minors who cause trouble and call the parents in. I ordered for drive up on Saturday, April 27 and when I arrived at the parking lot, the target employee delivered to another car. He walked back into the store and made a smirk at me and never came back. He returned 20minutes later only to deliver to the next car that arrived after me. He intentionally refused to bring my items I had to call the guest desk and have another person bring them out. When I asked her what happened, she refused to answer my question. Just bizarre. This Target serves as one of the anchors at the Harlem-Irving Plaza (HIP). I investigated the parking situation as other reviewers have mentioned, yes this could be a hot mass, but I took the CTA 90 bus (Harlem) and was dropped off almost in front of Target. Therefore, I escaped that trouble. My primary mission was to....get toilet papers. I know it's not that glamorous as going to a new restaurant and talking about food. Yet Rosa J. is an average citizen; household miscellaneous tasks have to be done somehow. All grocery items, household items, cleaning supplies, snacks and beverages are on the second floor. You will also find women's ready-to-wear, women's lingeries, women's shoes, and women's accessories on the same floor as well. After picking up the toilet papers. I quickly browsed through the women's departments. I didn't find anything high-fashion or interesting, but there were a few cute things and coats were in reasonable prices ($40-$50). Nevertheless, the men's departments on the first floor were much closer to my style of fashion. I saw a freakin' adorable Yoda beanie for about $13. I thought it was still pricey, and I considered this item as a luxury, not an essential. Thus I had to pass on it this time. Other than that Yoda beanie, I found a poppy sweater for men. I would for sure get the smallest size available if I really, really wanted it. As an analytical Virgo, born in the mid 1980s, I had a strong self-control. Well, I was kind of glad that the check-out area was by men's departments, so I dragged myself in the opposite direction. The reason why I frequently utilize this Target location is because of its convenient location from my work place and my apartment. It's a typical Target, just like any other one in a neighborhood here. If CTA bus 90 (Harlem) or CTA bus 78 (Montrose) runs through your neighborhood, this Target may potential be a convenient location for you as well. read more

I went to pick up an item and and stood where it said item pickup. When I arrived, nobody was there. The person was in the back socializing. She then had the nerve to tell me I was in the wrong spot. I told her if that was the case then change the sign. When I followed her to pick up the item, she told me after the fact in a rude tone that I wasn't allowed in the area. Please train your employees better as I could easily go elsewhere. I will be going to the Foster Avenue location from now on. read more

This location is okay, but not my favorite. I don't really like that there are two floors to this Target, especially because the escalators always seem to be broken and then everyone has to pile into the creepy elevator. I like that they have an area upstairs behind the elevator that has two racks of clearance clothes; however, some Targets have much more than that. Service is a hit or a miss, but I normally use self checkout because that is normally a faster option than waiting for a worker, anyways. Some workers have no clue where anything is, and I have had some people flat out tell me they don't know... which is weird because I have had others look it up on their phones and tell me exactly where the item I am looking for is. The cashiers (those who I have been to) are normally very nice, but some are very slow. Last time service was nice because I went through a line and I was buying paper towels. The Target brand said 99 cents on the tag, but they were ringing up as $1.09 (I checked on the price check machine what they rang up before checking out). So, I took a picture of the items all stacked up behind that tag, the tag was clearly for that item, as in the count and the brand were exactly the same), and no other tag was around that item.When I got to the checkout, I told the young girl that the tag does not match the rung up price, and that even on cart wheel, the price is $1.09, unless you scan the tag bar-code, so I was extremely confused of what the price is. Of course, this is only 11 more cents than 99, but I was annoyed by the fact that I sometimes don't check prices, so maybe I get screwed more often than I think by not always checking. The cashier did change the price after some hesitation and I got the cheaper price, but it was even more awkward because she almost wasn't going to change it and I was like seriously, I literally have the picture that shows it's the exact item. As for cleanliness, this store is mostly clean and organized because there are always people stocking, facing, or folding clothes, so there is not many problems there. However, for a Target, the bathrooms are a hit or a miss. Once I went in there and no stalls had any toilet paper and then another time it smelled like acidic pee. I told someone and they did not jump to do anything or even tell anyone, so that's gross. The Target on Touhy always has a clean bathroom when I am there, and this location should get some pointers from them. The best thing about this location is that it is part of the Harlem and Irving mall, so it can be very convenient when you are going to other stores. However, if I am planning to only Target, I normally will not go to this one, as the Touhy and Rosemont ones are my favorite closest locations to me. read more

Not only are they consistently understaffed, they are incredibly inefficient, close entirely for lunch, but if you are concerned about your health, never pick up a prescription here. Dropping a deuce at Target! I was so excited to visit the Harlem and Irving Park Shopping Center, and made my Target list and checked it twice. Strike one: the parking lot is a maze of bad one ways and confused drivers (including me). The inside of the store wasn't much better. Many confused shoppers asking employees where items are. This dual level Target fails to put the essentials at the entrance on either floor. Instead, they've opted for CDs, DVDs and electronics on one floor, and cookware on the other; and pushed essentials and the grocery to the back. This is nothing like the dual Target on Addison, which is pleasant, well-stocked, and organized. The men's clothing department is miniscule and has the look of a picked-over TJ Maxx. Re-stocking needed all over the store. I couldn't even find standard items on my list and had to go between the floors a few times and still left without a few things. Also, Target should get wise and stock large generic bottles of vinegar, for those who use it for cleaning. Stock it next to the bleach. Also, even though this is a dual-level Target, selection in most departments is small. Even the CD selection is small. Yeah, by the time I got halfway done with this review, the deuce dropped to being a Converse One-Star loser. Which is a shoe you can get cheaper at Marshall's on Harlem anyway. read more

Always an issue doing drive up. Everyone who works the drive up crew sticks their noses up. Seriously cars parked in the pick up spots and they can't advise their supervisors and get told it's not their job? I was like it's not your job to advise your supervisor!? Not the first time. Although the only good thing about this pick up was how fast it was done. Last time was over 3 hours so I went in and picked my own order at that point. It says max of 2 but 3 is ridiculous. If I told my boss it's not my job I would get fired. I'm sorry no need for hostility but at least advise your supervisor. Only 8 spots though for pick up and if you're not gonna care about cars parking then don't do curbside pick up or add a whole new row of spots. I really dislike this store ever since they rehabed it. They have less selection, smaller amounts of inventory and the staff has gone down the tank. It's next to impossible to find someone in the department you are in to get help. I had to go 3 times in this last week. Dec. 24th, the 29th and 30th. The 24th to get a tree (they had none left except this sad little silver tree) which I got. I also got a present for nephew who's getting married. I also found a cute little vest for hubby which was too small! Hence trip on 29th - to exchange the $30 vest for a larger size when I noticed that the Pyrex that I got for nephew was $10 cheaper! so I wanted to get my $10 since it was only 5 days prior. Well, I needed an original receipt (hubby's vest was exchanged using the gift receipt). Which brings us to the trip on the 30th. I got my $10 from the Pyrex and I walked through the store and got a bunch of snacks for home and spent $14. Not bad. Service folks are just doing their job, they're cordial, don't smile much and are probably tired of listening to crazy people like myself. I'd go again. Unfortunately I can only do my shopping after work which is when this store is busy so I've seen customers at their worst. The people who come shop here are the most inconsiderate people. I've seen employees organize and clean up areas just to have customers two seconds later come mess it up again. Things can be look through without making such big messes. It's a small kindness. I know this store is understaffed but we should be kinder to the employees who currently work there. Oh and there are the large amount of teens who come in just to cause a raucous. I actually like this Target at the Harlem Irving Plaza. It has two levels of shopping in it, and I have purchased stuff like a phone and kitchen supplies from here. My grandma, a petite woman with very conservative tastes, has actually bought clothing from here that suits her frame and her tastes, so that's a ringing endorsement for Target. read more

With the shortage of anabiotic's I was calling and running around to every Walgreens pharmacy in my area. I called target and spoke to the pharmacist.I asked her if she had this medicine in and she said yes, so I headed to Norridge target and I did not have a hard prescription paper, meaning a physical piece of paper stating the prescription the doctor had wired my sons prescription to the Walgreens but unfortunately Walgreens did not have it. The pharmacist at target called Walgreens and had it wired to target where the medicine was available. In times like these are the people we need, in our pharmacies that go above and beyond to make sure the medicine gets to those who really need it. Thank you so much. read more

I really dislike it when you go to a store and the employees are rude. There are a lot of Targets throughout the area, but this one was just bad. Two floors and so many employees but they all seemed to not know where anything was. All i came in to buy was kids chalk and batteries. The batteries are always easy to find because every store has them by the entrance. Now the kids chalk, you would assume they would be by the toys. Nope not happening at this store. I browsed every section of the kids area and couldn't dint them. I decided to ask an employee who was working in the toy aisle, he told me just go around the corner there should be some there by the LEGO's. Nothing, zip, nada, I went and got him and asked him to show me. He shrugged and walked over like if i was asking for too much. Well he says here you go, but then the inevitable happened. There's none left he says. But yet there was no sticker as to what the SKU# was so he could look it up. He was so rude to try and figure out and said well if you don't see it on the shelf then we don't have it. I decided to head on to the 2nd floor determined to find kids chalk. I walked over to the office supplies. I found them and was i so happy. I decided to walk back downstairs and give that employee a lesson lol. Just because i was furious that he didn't seem to care about the situation. He then tells me that someone must of moved it, but they don't belong there. I was harassed by the Store Manager of Target Norridge on 1/13/19. I came in to return several items purchased on my REDcard during the holiday shopping season. The Manager on Duty falsely accused my of attempting to commit fraud (with no factual evidence to back-up her wild assumption) and humiliated/embarrassed/harassed me in front of other customers. This is unacceptable behavior and I will never recommend this Target to family/friends. read more
