The past few times I've been here they have been incredibly disrespectful. I was looking for something that they sometimes have and I thought I'd check for fun. I didn't even say a word and one of the workers was incredibly rude about telling me that they didn't have it, stating without even looking at me "no" without me even asking. Went in to make an even exchange for 4 shirts to a larger size. Upon contact with employee she seemed to be having a bad day. She looked at my items one of which was missng a tag but i assured her its brand new did not fit i had just bought them 2days prior. She looked at the item various times . We get to the end of the transaction and she stated i owed her a penny. I was confused as to why i would owe her if its an even exchange. Exact same items. She stared at me and demanded a penny to complete my transaction because she didnt want to come out short. Which i stated you shouldnt because its and even exchange.. she sarcastically said is there a penny on the floor somewhere or you can tap to pay. Which again i stated i wasnt paying a penny. Then proceeded to say theres nothing she can do. I asked for a manager. She stated to be the manager and i told her to make it right since again its an even exchange. I asked for a supervisor. Which no one else was there just her. So i asked for the corporate number and she gave me the number for emergency protocols. Which i told her this isnt correct. She stated not to know or have the number and i could figure it out. I asked for her name and she stated to be calle liliana. Not sure if thats true. She went ahead and took the next customer. The polite customer heard the whole transaction and gave her 10cents. She was still argiuing about me not having a penny to pay to of which i told her the cutomer gave u 10cents and she proceeded to deny me service. She yelled at me an stated she did not give a fuck and ignored me . I told her to give me the 10 cents back and my merchandise.. please ensure custome Service is top priority. We cannot allow 'managers' to talk to us and escalate the situation instead of providing a solution. read more

Ignore the good reviews -- they are all five years old. This place is a nightmare. I grabbed two charging cords from under a iPhone sign. They were type c. I found this out by opening one. I immediately ran back to return them (with the receipt.) Yes, one was opened but this was within an hour of purchase and we have returned mistaken purchases to this location in the past. All packaging was present along with the receipt and we only wanted to swap them. Not only did they refuse to swap one of them, they were horrible about the whole thing. The manager was abusive to my husband and dragged the whole ordeal out for almost 30 minutes-- giving just a teeny bit more information every five or so minutes until finally it culminated in a several minute procedure to return one cent to his card. Screw these people. I'm angry. Value isn't always about cheap prices. Choose a different five below location. read more

Omg it's everything I've been seeing in the Temu ads! They have a great supply of candy from around the world and art supplies, would have loved this place as a teen. Questionable ingredients in some of the makeup, though. Pay in cash here. The credit card reader makes you answer a "survey" question, but it's a 1984 style question about their employees' compliance with store policy. Like I was a secret shopper. I've been to this Five Below more times than I can count. It's always clean, well stocked and organized. You can find anything from gym tops to incense, cute pajamas, crayons, stickers, electronics, candy... even makeup (but I wouldn't really recommend buying makeup here unless you're a 6 year old girl). I've always been checked out by friendly staff and there's usually someone else walking around that can help if you need it. Don't be a come mierda, give 'em a chance! read more

SUB ZERO Inexpensive doesn't always mean low quality at this discount retailer. After finding some miscellaneous school supplies at the Dollar Tree -- located 20 feet south -- my gal and I stopped in here on a continuing quest to buy cheap sh*t. The differences between this and the adjacent store were vast: First off, kids ran rampant at the neighboring DT and the aisles there were a disaster. By stark contrast, the aisles here at Five Below were tidy and small children were kept on a short leash. They even had a roaming security guard that at one point yelled at a teen for bouncing a ball recklessly! Secondly, the caliber of items is much higher. I was able to nab DVDs of the robots-vs-aliens blockbuster 'Pacific Rim' and Oscar-bait film 'American Hustle' for $5 each. I also got a copy of Borderlands on PS3 for five bucks, and a Five Nights at Freddy's wall calendar for $3! The store was well-lit and laid out nicely. I LOVED their selection of oddball and tough-to-find candy immediately before the checkout counter. You could get a whole freakin' tube of bubble gum for $5! Register employees seemed nice, far less depressed than their counterparts next door. Very decent stuff, I wouldn't hesitate to come back! read more

Five below to me, can be more dangerous than target. I go in there, needing nothing, and always wind up buying a bunch of fun things that I forgot I needed. I bought a smart phone ring holder so I drop my phone less. I bought a lab top case so when I drop my lab top there's at least a case on it. I bought another yoga mat in hopes a new one will make me workout more and I bought new black trendy leggings for only five bucks because they're cute and you can never have enough black workout leggings. I will definitely be back! I may buy a yoga mat bag, for the yoga mat I just purchased. We will see! read more

NOT FOREVER 21 Someone told me this was a cheap place for teenage girls to buy clothes. That was like 6 months ago and I kind of avoided this brand considering I'm not a teenage girl looking for cheap clothes. Today I was walking by and noticed boogie boards and basketballs. So I walked in and this is not just a store for teenagers. This place is like an upscale dollar store. In fact, the name instantly made complete sense to me as I looked around. Everything is 5 dollars or below! Oh now I get it! Boy did I feel stupid. This store had a really nice selection of stuff. They have DVDs and Blu-ray Discs for only $5. I had to laugh when I noticed there was a two disc limit for Katy Perry's recent movie. Does anyone really want one? Here is a list of things I saw for under 5 bucks: bike helmets, folding chairs, markers, crafts, board games, volleyballs, basketballs, toys, slip n slide, rafts, etc Honestly the quality of the items on sale here felt better then any dollar store I had ever been to. So next time I'm looking for a cute little present for my little one, I plan on swinging by here. There was a great craft area for only $5 which included pottery creating and jewelry making. I know that those projects would be fun. So if you haven't been into 5 below because you thought it was a store that only carries products from Siberia, then you have been missing out. I don't think I've ever seen two discount stores right next to each other before. They recently opened this Five Below next to a Dollar Tree. They should have at least opened a soup kitchen between these two stores so my people in the struggle can stop for a hot meal during their ghetto Christmas shopping. For those unaware, Five Below is a store that sells everything for $5 and under. I've been to a couple locations in the south suburbs and was quite fond of it, so I was pleasantly surprised to see they opened one near me. They sell everything from iPod accessories, movies, snacks, sports merchandise, toys, t-shirts and more. Like any discount store, however, you'll find good and some bad. There's a lot of quality items, and some that is just cheap garbage. So choose wisely. This is an ideal place to do some broke person Christmas shopping. Don't spend $300 on some Beats by Dre headphones. You can get someone the knock off (Beats by TRE?) for $5 courtesy of Five Below. Grab that Blades of Glory or Borat DVD as some stocking stuffers. And who wouldn't love a Snuggie for Christmas? This is the perfect place to buy gifts for people you only marginally care about. Five Blow is a great addition to what is clearly the mecca of discount shopping centers per this area. read more

I've been to this place twice and have left a happy customer both times. This last time I was looking for a cheap musical keyboard and had been to all sorts of places - including Toy's R Us. I kinda walked in here on a whim - actually having been in a nearby store. I walked through and there are all sorts of things here on the cheap. But after combing 3/4's of the store, I still hadn't seen what I needed and wasn't all that surprised. But then - there they were... stacked up in an aisle a whole flock of keyboards - and for just 5 bucks. What a find. I brought my item to checkout and the savings was confirmed. The store employee also was kind enough to remind me that the keyboard would need batteries as well. The store itself is just a bunch of cheap stuff - but for what it is, they do very well. read more

The name of the place says it all. $5 and below. I like stopping in here for books personally. (Find some of the same books @ B&N for $29.99) This place has random goodies. You wont likely find brand known names, but the close cheaper knock offs. I also enjoyed this place for the cheap candy selection for birthday and holiday goodie bags. Its cheaper than the card and party store right there. Every time my bf and I are over there he has to stop in and pick up some random crap that I will eventually find broke and have to throw away. But its cool cause for $5 bucks I could care less. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because twice now I've bought journals there and after a month or so they fall out of the cover, but I still go back and buy them for $5! read more

This is one of my favorite stores to shop in. The name is true to the slogan, unlike Dollar Store's. Everything is always reasonably priced and very upscale for what it's worth. I do a lot of my Christmas shopping and birthday shopping here and everyone is always extremely happy with what they get. I also love the wide selection of phone and MP3 player cases and have about 6 from here. The staff is always courtesy and willing to help you. The clothes are also very cute, both for men and women. They also have a bunch of name brand and off-brand candy selections you won't find in many retailers. If I ever have a spare minute when I'm in the area, I always make sure to stop in. Even if I'm not in the area, I always make sure to stop in and browse what they have in stock. read more
