I've had a gift card for Nordstrom since early December and I am the type of person that will hold onto a gift F-O-R-E-V-E-R... so when the hubby decided on an outing to the mall, we jumped on the chance to get out of the house. But little did I know that he had something else up his sleeve in regards to my gift card. So we walk the mall and we finally get to the Nordstrom Rack store... ahh, the fine things I can find in there. We start to look at the shoes and he starts to pick out shoes for me... and turns to me and says that we aren't leaving the store until I use my gift card money. G-A-S-P! The audacity! My husband telling me that I need to spend money on myself! LOL!! As I clutched my imaginary pearls - all of a sudden I'm southern and in shock! - I started looking around for things that I wanted! How dare I, right?! We finally get to the register... with 4 pairs of shoes and a pair of sunglasses in tow... the wonderful Haley B was the person that we had the opportunity to ring out with. As my items were being rung up, I noticed that my gift card wasn't going to cover the whole amount of the purchase. So I make a comment to the hubby that I'm gonna have to leave something behind since I wouldn't have enough to cover the total... Haley jumps in and asks me the amount on the gift card and after I tell her, she advises me that she will add a coupon to my amount so that I wouldn't be over! OMG!!! Now that's what I call customer service!!! I was over the moon walking out of the store with everything that I wanted because of one employees looking out for a customer! This store is attached to the Harlem Irving Plaza, aka the HIP. It's one of the new Nordstrom Racks in the area, and it's a nice store. It's larger than I would have expected from the outside. The women's larger shoe section is a little sad and disappointing, though. Their merchandise fluctuates, obviously, but I think they have a smaller handbag section and not as many watches/stuff in the case as other stores. However, it can be significantly more pleasant to shop--even on the Clear The Rack weekend, the store was relatively (to a few other stores--I went to a few) quiet, and there wasn't much of a line. Parking bites. This little corner of the HIP shares the lot with a Panera, Comcast, Red Robin, and 24 Hour Fitness. Luckily, if you don't find parking above ground there's an underground lot to use, and since it's a mall there's parking at the other end as well as rooftop parking. read more

Don't go! Just kidding. It's only because I want to go find good deals. I've only shopped on weekday evenings where it's not prime shopping time. It's always been nicely organized, very helpful people in green shirts, and short lines! I was also able to find high end products that I would never see at other stores such as a clearance Burberry dress for a little baby, and Burberry boots. I've always been able to find better products at this location compared to other Rack I've shopped at. Located at Harlem Irving Plaza shopping center, there're 2 entrances you can enter from, one with parking lot that enters near cashier station or entrance from the shopping mall. If you just got paid or you just have extra money to spend, spend it here! This place has some amazing deals and they sell TONS of brand names. I bought $160 dollar suede cowgirl looking boots here for only $24... I'm telling you, it's worth your time and your money! They sell so many shoes here, which makes me happy, but my wallet sad. I like to come here on weekdays because the mall gets super busy, including this store, and I'm really not a fan of busy stores. I also HATE that this store is part of the small parking lot connected to Chipotle and Panera and X-Sport. Sure, they have the underground parking lot, but that's super creepy. I just wish the main floor parking lot was bigger for this area because parking is a beeyotch. You can enter from the mall itself if you shop at other stores and park in the main parking lot near other entrances, but I like to go to only Nordstrom Rack sometimes. Because this store just opened last year, this location is very clean, and the associates do a very good job keeping the racks in order. The store is also nice and brightly lit. read more

I was window shopping at the mall and decided to go in to Nordstrom Rack, I dont usually shop there but wanted o see if there was anything for my daughter, we actually found some cute pieces at a reasonable price, we liked that it was pretty clean and easy to navigate the asiles, but when we got to the check out the girls were playing and the one who took care of us seemed to be on the phone and bothered that she had to do her job, she was rude and offputting, we started to leave the store when the alram sounded, (she had left the anti theft on) we had to go back and when we did now there sitting there playing while they have customers in front of them, its a shame that a quality store has employees that do not know how to act read more

I rather shop at Nordstrom Rack then go to the actual department store. The deals you find here are amazing. I visited this location to find a dress for my grandma's funeral. I was so lucky to find not only a dress, but a pair of heels as well. This location is humongous and neatly organized. I also like that you don't have to go through the mall to access this store if you don't wanna. The makeup section is so organized and filled with actual makeup products. Most stores have their makeup thrown around and should not be sold. Not this place, they actually have a sign that reads "please do not sample the makeup." The shoe department is well organized and you actually find the correct size and both shoes are in the right box. I can't tell you how discouraging it can be to find a shoe in the 8.5 section for it be a size 6 shoe in the box. Or to find the perfect shoe, but the mate is missing. If guys are wondering why it takes so long for women to go shoe shopping, it's probably because we are hunting down the mate to our shoes. And every woman knows that it's not about the outfit, but the shoes make the worst outfit look amazing. Overall, I do enjoy shopping at this location. I hope to return in the future for some retail therapy. read more

Epic failure on my first visit, but the employees made up for it when I returned. Went in and quickly easily returned couple pairs of pants I had purchased for my father. I did a little shopping for myself. I grabbed roughly $600 worth of shirts and sweaters only to discover that the line at the front was now 8 people deep. Two cashiers were working on one customer and there was no one dedicated to handling returns. I walked back to the menswear department and asked the young lady if she could just hold the stuff I picked out till I could return from my appointment and offered my business card. She politely declined. In fact, everybody was polite right up to the point where I left $600 worth of merchandise sitting out. Really not the neighborhood you would expect to find a Nordstrom Rack. The store just opened October 26th so I can understand they are still familiarizing themselves with the POS system. The store is spotless and organized. I'll try to remember to plan for more time in line until they sort out there systems. To her credit, the lead cashier did call for assistance but by the time I left the line was at 12. I'm one of those people that sees multiple registers and wonders why during the day on a weekday the line is backed up. Everyone is incredibly nice as they seem to be in all of the stores and more than one person offered their assistance. I'll be back and consider improving my rating. I like the store, but I could cheer them on with a little improvement. read more

OMG Girolama helped me so much! I knew what I went in for was a little troublesome because I had to return a couple items and actually didn't have the receipts. On top of that, one was online and I only had the online receipt. she was super professional and didn't make me feel like it was a bother at all. Most cashiers will give you an attitude like "real?" But nope! It was quick too, she just got straight to it. Her customer service was the best! I overall like love shopping here. It's connected to the HIP which I love. They have a great and large selection of clothes and shoes here. I just got my toddler some Vans and Converse and Nike shoes which he loves. Thumps up!! read more

You never know what you might find here, of course - my favorite is the makeup area - they carry name brands like Cargo, MAC, etc. and the discounts are significant. Name-brand sunglasses are a good deal here, too. I like to go when I want to pass some time browsing but am not looking for anything in particular. read more

Love this location at the HIP! Go there during the week and you will not find a ton of people nor crazy long lines. I have found a ton of good items on clearance (anything from Ted Baker pants to Hugo Boss parka) at great prices. They have their own private lot so you don't necessarily have to walk through the mall to get to Nordstrom Rack. I'll keep coming back to this location not only because it is close to my house but because of their selection :D read more

So basically I'm writing this review based on the customer service given by I'm assuming the manager "maribel." I was returning an item and first she insisted I had a chip on my card which I don't. And she looked at me and rolled her eyes. Then she came back and very rudely said do you have good eyesight. Not to be rude but I was wearing glasses so for her to say that it was offensive. After my transaction was done I heard her whispering to another coworker (blondish Hair, maybe European decent young lady) about the situation. I've worked retail so I did find it rude for her to act this way. I was upset at this location because they have always been friendly. read more

I absolutely love this Nordstrom Rack, they always have great deals on designer brands. I've been able to find some great dresses at the Rack price then there are times they throw in an additional discount. I've bought a $100 dress for as low as $15. I also find that they have a great selection of shoes, which is great since I'm a shoeaholic. read more

This was my second visit here and I won't be coming here again. Would not let me try on clothes with my wife and I was forced to try them on and come outside the changing booth so she could give me her opinion. My first visit here this was no problem and bought over $400 in clothes. This will be my last time shopping here. Don't spend your money here, they have no respect for familes read more
