I prefer this target over the other one, parking is much easier, and it's easy to get in and out of the little shopping center. I have noticed the last year or so the shelves are not always as stocked, but I'm assuming that's supply issues. Staff has always been friendly when I have questions and I love that they have so many self checkout lines. read more

I just received the BEST customer service by a girl named Jamie (name tag said James) in the makeup/nail department at Target. She was so sweet and generous with her time. Nuff said! ...but if you want more about K-Mart, think chaotic aisles, unstocked shelves, blue light specials on absolute junk! When I think "K-Mart", I think "Came-Apart", cuz that's what their junk does. #2 - Have you been to a Wal-Mart lately? Nuff said! ...but if you want more, think of the "People of Wal-Mart" email photos we have all had the unfortunate experience of receiving from someone claiming to be a friend. OK, I admit those photos don't really represent us Californians, we are all much better looking! (Confession: OK, on occasion I go to Wal-Mart & it isn't that bad, but that doesn't support my argument here in this review, so lets keep that our little secret...sshhhh!) ...which leaves us with Tarjayyyyy! oops, I mean Target!....... Oh so much better than the others IMO! For example, when I need a new toothbrush, the latest Linkin Park CD, some protein bars and a new blender, and I want a one-stop-shop, I come to Target! Usually this store is clean but I don't know what's been going on recently. Nothing in stock, clothes everywhere, trash... Walmart vibes for sure. Not to mention they are rearranging everything in the store so you can't find anything. Shoes department in the very back corner not enough space. Couldn't find the bathing suits for 10+ minutes. All this rearranging for an Ulta Beauty section which is a bad business move anyways. Hope it improves read more

used to love going to this target, However for the past several months the shelves have been bare, and don't even try to find an employee to help you, it's almost impossible. It's like they laid everyone off and forgot to tell their customers. I know a lot of cleaning products are in short supply Due to the Covid situation, however our nearby Walmart and most of the pharmacies are able to get at least some of the cleaning supplies while the shelves at target are completely empty. If this continues I will be taking my business to Walmart, at least they have items to choose from rather than just bare shelves everywhere. read more

This Target is bout just like all the other Targets. Though I would say it's a half step up in friendly service, but really only a half step. More like a trip maybe. They tend to have great prices on my soup and a huge parking space but the service, while friendly is mid to incredibly slow. Though unlike SF they have plastic bags. Win. I've been here many a time and still have a middling to same ole same ole experience most every time. But really, sometimes that's really all you can ask from a large retailer. If you've been to one Target, you've essentially been to them all. This Target beats the Sand City's (NOT SEASIDE!! Although forgotten, Sand City is its own municipality) Target in a few ways. For starters, it's cleaner, newer and less busy than it's southern counterpart. Secondly, I find the staff at the Marina Target to be more amicable. The cashiers engage you in conversation (mostly) and don't treat you like a number. Lastly, the location is perfect. Although both Targets share similarties with their proximity to Highway 1, this Target succeeds where the other one doesn't due to there being less patrons in the parking lot. Trying to find parking at the Sand City Target is an absolute nightmare on the weekends, whereas Marina's location won't give you the same difficulty. Of course, I'm a bit biased because I live very close to the location and am here pretty much on a daily basis. read more

I like shopping at this Target, I only write this to tell folks to be careful when purchasing assembled bikes. I purchased the last bike they had and it was pre-assembled. It was for my daughter, unfortunately when we took it bike riding the handle bars were not completely tightened and she had a bad accident. read more

The store overall has never been an issue. However, the restrooms are never maintained! My biggest concern is that the soap dispensers are always broken or empty. It took me 15 minutes for me to be able to wash my hands. The guest service went to find the "person who refills soap" and then came back and said he's on a 45 minute lunch break... okay so target my question for you is this. When a person goes on lunch, the rest of the staff has no idea where the soap is? So the sign in the restroom that requires employees to wash their hands, is not applicable when the person who "refills the soap" is on a break? My husband had to pump soap from the men's restroom and bring it to me. My 7 year old is terrified of your restrooms. Toilet paper is never replaced and the it looks like a portable restroom. read more

Used to be my favorite target. But now they're locking up more product. Why pay for security if you're going to lock things up? If I wanted the Walmart experience I'd go there. I come to pay extra at Target because I find what I want and it's quick. If you want the locked up product you have to go to the register they want you to go to. Which is fine when it's not busy but if it's busy you don't get to choose where you want to pay at. read more

Worse target for online drive up order. More than 3x now I was waiting over 40 minutes with 2 toddlers crying. Then they tell me that they can't locate my items after 40 minutes. I need to stop going to this target. read more

I was pretty stuck between 3 and 4 stars for this Target but I went with 4 because I'm glad it's in the area. It's generally a pretty good store, but there are a few things I don't like about it. Since most people know the positives about Target, I'll focus on areas where they could improve this store. It seems like they're slower to stock this store than other Targets I've been to. Sometimes an entire section will be pretty empty which isn't something I'm used to seeing at a store like this. I've asked employees if they have more of something in the back a few times, and every time they've actually had it, so I wonder why it isn't on the floor. Not sure if they're understaffed or just disorganized. I'm often not thrilled with the cleanliness of the shopping carts. It's common for them to have trash left in them by other shoppers and sometimes they're just plain dirty like someone spilled something in them or whatever. I wish they cleaned them more often. During the times I've been there when it's exceptionally busy, getting into a line can be chaotic partly due to how the checkouts are set up. It seems like a lot of people, including myself, will be confused about what line we're even in, or if we're even really in a line at all. Although the upside of this is it's lead to entertaining conversation with other confused shoppers a few times for me. There are also times where it just seems like they need to open a few more checkouts. read more

I was returning an electronic head phones without a receipt which I didn't have with me. The customer service employee asked his boss about it. Mentioned that I can exchange it with items in electronic section. So of course, browsed around and got some things from electronics. Came back to the customer service desk. The employee had his boss there. They both scan the items and it didn't work at all. I was stunned and felt like I wasted my time to find things to replace the electronic I was going to return. I was surprised that even the manager had no idea. read more

By far my favorite Target to go compared to Sand City or Salinas. The store itself is usually pretty clean and well stocked. The bathrooms on the otherhand are another story... will only use if I really have to. I like that this store typically isn't crowded but lately it seems like there are always long lines at checkout. The past few times I've gone there's been 2 cashiers up front and lines are at least 5+ people deep on each. They do have self checkout with 4 kiosks but that line is sometimes just as long if not longer. It always gets me when you look up front and there's 2-3 other team members milling about. One downside to this store (or all stores in this shopping center) is that cell reception is very poor once you hit the back of the store. Good luck trying to call home to hubby to find out if you're out of something... they do have guest wi-fi but I try not to use these open networks unless absolutely necessary. read more

I had not been to this store in well over a year. I returned today and was surprised how dirty they allow it to get. As you walk in there are tons of popcorn, receipts, paper and crumbs of food all over the floor. The service desk is surrounded by the same filth! So disappointing and gross! The cashier was so nice that's why they get the two stars. Service alone is not enough. :( Will probably be out of there another year if I ever return. read more

My man. If I'm not near a Walgreen's, Target is my store of choice for most of my stuff in the house. The kitchen. The bathroom. The bedroom. Target usually carries a good range of items that are equally pleasing to the eye. This visit is perfect for two reasons. I had been out most of the day exploring the area and for the one on the go, restrooms are a necessity. This Target boasts a clean one. The second reason was to stock up on health and beauty items. This establishment is still relatively new and clean throughout. I'm happy to know that this is here prior to my heading out of the Monterey area. read more

My family and I have always been big fans of Target stores. I have just recently moved here and I am glad that this one is pretty close to me! It is a bit bigger than most of the ones I have been to and is in a nice shopping center. Someone please tell management that it is not okay for their cashiers to charge customers for an item but neglect to put the item into the shopping bag. I had to return to the store because I was missing one of the items I purchased. The cashier was no longer at his register so I pulled the item again and went to the customer service desk with the item and my receipt. The woman at customer service acted confused and asked me if I was charged. "Yes, I certainly was", I replied. "Oh, okay, then, you're fine", she said. So it's "fine" to charge patrons for merchandise and not give it to them, as long as the cashier isn't giving people things without charging for them. It's not "fine" to rip off your customers, Target. I'll be going to WalMart from now on. read more

Earth to management - Your employee's aren't doing their jobs when it comes to keeping their assigned departments clean!! Good grief. I thought the Salinas location was a hot mess..but this location is just as bad! The shoe department was so frustrating, it's not even funny. Barely anything was stocked, random items from other departments were shoved in shoe boxes, or the wrong shoes were in the wrong boxes! The jewelry department looked as if someone had a hissy fit and threw stuff everywhere..purses littered all over the floor, The childrens department was as if two hurricanes had a boxing match there, the DVD section was a complete lost cause and the makeup department was a complete disaster. read more

This Target is my post-holidays hero. A few days after Christmas, I visited this store looking for a few miscellaneous items (deodorant, anyone?) and I noticed that all of their Christmas stuff was at least 75% off. I got a 7-foot tree, 7 or 8 sets of lights, 2 Christmas dog outfits, and a tree skirt....all for $70 total. Awesome. The only downside is that the stuff was in such a disarray, you had to dig through piles of tree skirts and stockings to get to the "good stuff." I'm also a sucker for their little bargain bins at the entrance of the store. Sometimes they have dog sweaters for $2.50! read more

Every chain that exists in multiple locations within the same area has a "Good" one. This is the Good Target. Bigger, cleaner, better selection, friendlier, more parking, etc. As far as what they sell, if you've been to Target, you probably already have an idea of that. And as far as what you'll spend, you'll spend whatever you usually spend at a Target, and at least you'll do it at one that's not too crowded or surly. read more

the best Target in our area for ease in parking, good customer service, product selection, store cleanliness and overall pricing. its not perfect. but any time I am taking this Target store for granted, I just go to another location that's closer. Within moments, any one of the above factors goes awry and I wonder why I didn't drive to the General Stilwell location seriously, the customer service and store cleanliness are finest of most big box stores. 5minutes before close, a customer service rep patiently explained to an elderly lady that the item she was trying to return was NOT from Target. Anyone in customer service knows 5min before close is NOT when you want to explain this to someone who is clearly missing the point. My question could wait. and was answered satisfactorily the next time I came in by a different customer service rep. they all seem on point--------------------------------- THIS does NOT apply to the Starbucks/Pizza Hut employees. they are terrible. read more

The Marina City sales tax on your purchases are less than Sand City location. Very clean, neat and tidy store that does not seem as busy as the Sand City location. I like this location for my retail therapy days; when getting lost and wandering off in the shopping landscape is good for the soul. Fortunately, my impulse control is very good so discovering the latest products and fashion trends is not too costly for me. Just go for it! read more

I am a HUGE fan of target. Always have been since I was little. Being a fan, I can safely say that this target is far better than the one in Sand city. My reasoning is simple... it's not fully crowded with a bunch of people that look like they belong in Walmart (please reference people of walmart online if you do not get the meaning). The store is clean, well stocked and overall has more pleasant workers and it's actually a pleasant shopping experience. If you have the time and can manage to make the trip, I would recommend this target over the one in Sand city for your target fix. read more

Employees are really nice and they always have stuff in stock. However, if you plan to coupon here, DON'T! They only allow you to use 4 coupons, doesn't matter if they're different ones and if the limit per coupon isn't reached. It's ridiculous because why would I waste my time and the cashier's time to do separate transactions. Also, cashier didn't even give me a reason why that's their policy. PLEASE FIX YOUR COUPON POLICY. read more
