I have mixed feelings about my visit to this shop in Carmel by the Sea, mainly because I asked a young sales associate a couple questions about the sale that was going on and she got noticeably irritated with me. I'm still not sure why. Also there was no indication that it was a Coach Outlet rather than a Coach Retail store, which I didn't figure out until I got home and read the Yelp reviews. The store was crowded with people and they had a ton of purses on display. I wanted to see a Chelsea 30 in brown suede, a bag I've been thinking about for a while, but they were sold out. I tried a similar bag but no go. I ended up buying a little Faye Shoulder Bag in the color chalk. The irritated sales associate got nicer the longer I spent in the store. The woman who rang me up was friendly and helpful. I haven't bought a Coach purse in over a decade, but I have to admit they are starting to appeal to me again. read more

I've been wanting to get my hands on a suede bag as they're very in right now and i love the look of them. Spotted this bag and loved it right away. Light weight and nice shade of brown. I could have sworn the on-display bag i wanted to buy was a bit of a different color.. more reddish than the one they gave me when i went to buy. They said it was bc the display was out in the 'elements' and that my bag would also change colors. It sounds a bit far fetched but for the price i still love it. What a dangerous location! After a day of wine tasting I couldn't resist the urge to pop into this coach store. On Saturday, I did some window shopping and was practically sold on a bag, however, I wanted to sleep on it to really make sure that this was something that would fit the capsule wardrobe that I'm trying to curate. Upon entering the store, I was greeted and informed of the current sales which just so happened to be 50% off, excluding perfumes. Additionally, some items were even further discounted by an additional 15%. The sales associate that stood out to me most was Selena. She was helpful and very personable. After I went home and slept on it, I decided I wanted the bag, and I needed the bag. I would certainly recommend this store to anyone in need of some retail therapy. read more

I like to stop by this outlet store in the middle of Carmel on Ocean Avenue and check out the latest in Coach. I am a big fan of their leather goods, but not so much the purses as the small leather accessories like address books, picture frames, and iPad covers. They are always so trim and neat and functional! We sometimes go to the Coach outlet store in Gilroy on the way up to Carmel, but often find that the latest styles are at the Carmel store. We were warmly greeted several times the other day as we explored the new looks in bags. I liked the range of colors and the prices are terrific at this outlet store. There always seems to be an extra percentage off certain items, so be sure to watch for the signs. I didn't find a bag, but enjoyed my tour round the new styles!! read more

[During COVID-19 Review] This Coach store is a little smaller than other Coach stores I've been too but the staff and service is great! Prior to entering the store, there is a staff member who monitors the # of customers entering/exiting. They only allow up to (9) people in the store at a time. This store does have most of the sales that other stores have. They currently have a 50-70% off sale and a great selection in the clearance section. I haven't shopped at Coach in a long long while, but was able to leave the store with a new pair of aviator sunglasses at 50% off. They were cute and stylish! They also have a lot of make-up bags on sale for 70% off or more so stop by and take a look! read more

I can't believe my luck! After seeing a beautiful handbag on display here, I had to ask the helpful salesperson how much it cost. When she mentioned the additional 50% off, I almost fainted! I was so surprised to learn that this was an outlet store! This store's selection of handbags and accessories is nothing short of amazing. The salesperson that helped me was wonderful too. Although I had already spotted the bag I wanted, the salesperson noticed some other items she thought I might like. It gave me some time to wander the store and look at all the beautiful items. I should have bookmarked this store after reading Timmy S.' really great review a little over a year ago. The service and selection were wonderful here. What they don't tell you is that this is actually a Coach Outlet store so the prices are much lower than you'd expect. We got lucky because the day we walked in they handed us a coupon for an additional 50% off. So when my wife saw a purse she liked that was already priced so low she would have bought it anyway and then, with the coupon, slashed that price in half.......she walked out of there with a new purse, of course. Is there a zero to give to the snobs who work at this coach?!?! I never ever had a bad customer service like the one I got there. I had a gift receipt and wanted to return the item with the person who bought the gift, but the lady there snapped and without looking at the receipt declined to return the items. I swear to god that I practiced all the self control in the world not to snap back or make her hear something unpleasant- then, when I asked her to check the receipt, she knew she was wrong and had no choice but to return the items. My wife loves the Carmel coach store and visit it several times a year especially since I now live in Carmel by the Sea. Yesterday she went in to see if she could get her coach hand bag fixed, part of the handle edging was coming off. I absolutely love Coach. When my friend found out we were taking a family outing to Monterey Bay Aquarium she told me that there was a Coach Outlet in Carmel. Driving around Carmel, we drove by Coach. My heart started pounding and my eyes grew big. Even after we drove past it, I turned my head around just to see the store until it grew smaller and further away. I said to hubby "can we go in there? I'll just look around a bit and see what they carry." We park and walk up the block. The corners of my mouth turned upwards til it was a HUGE smile. The very first hand bag that caught my eyes were baby blue and sooo me! I walked over to it and looked at the price. $259.99 Ok not bad. I've never seen Coach bags in baby blue before. And it was just so pretty! I HAD to have it. I looked around some more and half of the things in here, I've never seen before. I didn't really see anything else that I really, REALLY wanted. Oh wait, they had a baby blue coat. But it was like $359 with 30% off. That was still a little bit too much for me. But it was just sooo pretty. =( The store was packed! My hubby couldn't understand why there was so many women in there. The only explanation I could give him was "Coach is like crack!" Not that I know anything about drugs since I've never tried any. Was incredibly surprised to find an outlet store in such a bougie town. It may not seem like an outlet from the outside, but once you look around at the prices and sales, you'll be pleasantly surprised and excited to shop. They have incredible discounts, plus % off sales on particular styles or sections of the store. There's a large selection that's beautifully organized for both men and women so it's fun to look around. Shoes, bags, coats, sunglasses, fragrances and other accessories-- they have it all! The staff was really friendly and fun to talk to, and they weren't pushy at all. They told us that there are different promos every day, so if we didn't pick something up today to come back and peek inside. On the day we visited, there happen to be a 70% off section PLUS an extra 20% off if you buy two things from the same section. You can find large bags starting at about $90, wristlets for ~$30 and going up from there depending on the style. Of course, keep in mind that you ARE shopping at an outlet so if you ever need to return or exchange something for any reason, it can't go back to a normal Coach store, especially if it's an outlet-exclusive style. I stopped into this location to purchase a purse during my visit and sadly did not receive any type of welcome or assistance from any of the 4 employees who were standing there waiting for patrons. At the very least you can offer your help if it's needed "Hi, If you need any help or advice I'd be happy to help." Nothing... Even when I was ready to make my purchase the cashier had to be told I was ready to be rung up even though she seen me standing there. We were turned away because of dogs. I've NEVER had this happen here. In fact, in the past my ex had been outside with my Great Dane and the employees made him bring my dog in for love. It may have just been one person working scared of big dogs, but that was totally unacceptable. I've been to many Coach outlets over the years and the employees always ask me to bring my dog in and they are super welcoming. They need to fire that woman. It's quite possible I'm the only person disappointed to find a Coach Outlet store in Carmel. Leave the outlets for the outlet shopping malls, if I want an outlet I'll go looking for one. A factory Coach store in the middle of beautiful Carmel city? Why yes!! I've only been here a couple of times, but everytime I go, there seems to be a good sale going on. They gave out 50% off already reduced prices! I obviously know little about purses. But I do know that outlet prices + 50% off = cheap! Yes, I do know that these are all previous models and overstock supplies, but there is always a few nice things here that you can buy, and for authentic Coach products, it will give you happiness and contentment, for now. Customer service is very good, as usual. They are all very friendly without being overly nagging. I don't like being in stores whose employees keep asking if you're ok every 15 seconds. This is surely not one of those stores. It seems to me that more than half of the people that walk in this store, walks out purchasing something. Then you know it's good here! A huge plus for me, is they have a very good selection of men Coach products! I don't think I've ever walked in any other Coach store that has just as much selection for men as they do for women. I am not a Coach whore in the least. In fact, seeing so many women carry the same bag all over the place makes me want to vomit. That said, I did fall in love with the 30% discount off of 40% off and walked out of there with a hot little red number, without the Coach logo emblazoned all over the place, and can't wait to use it. It's a little wrist strap, with a pocket that can fit my phone, cards, and money. Wa-hoo! I don't normally walk into Coach stores because I know I can't buy a purse but since we were on vacation and my husband didn't object to going in, I figured I might get a chance to make a purchase. I was handed a 20% off coupon when I walked in and from that point on, I was determined to buy a purse. I walked around a bit, confused by the prices at the top of each cabinet of purses. I found one I loved but wasn't sure if the price of $149 above it was accurate. Upon asking, I was told that yes indeed, that was the price, plus 20%. I grabbed the purse and marched to the register. The sales people were really helpful but not all up in your face the entire time. She wrapped up my purse in tissue paper and placed it in the bag. My 16 year old sister in law has 2 Coach purses and I had zero so now I'm halfway to her total. And my purse is way cuter. :) read more

It is nice to have an "outlet" in Carmel, and I've bought many a handbag, wallet, belt, key chain, and even a raincoat at this store. The discounts are great, and if you are on their email list, you can sometimes get great coupons that make the discounts oh so much deeper. However, I have noticed over the past few years, that more items are showing up that are made ONLY for the Coach outlets. You will not find these handbags in the regular Coach stores. The staff at this outlet store are very helpful and can tell you which items are produced just for outlet sales. When I've examined the "outlet only" purses, I've found them to be of poorer quality in both the fabric and the leather. I've also noticed that the outlet-only items tend to be the ones with the COACH logo splashed all over them. I think this is more to entice the one-time Coach shopper to buy something that is clearly a Coach bag, wallet, etc. Personally I am not a fan of the logo covered accessories and much prefer the sturdy traditional leather pieces that made Coach famous. You can find just a few of those in this store - but they're becoming more and more a rarity! read more

I had bought a purse for my lady going on two years ago. She always places it in the car the same way where the metallic piece that secures the purse closed started to rub off (probably from the vibrations from my system). I had purchased it in San Jose at the valley fair but called Carmels store for assistance since I didn't know they had one so close to me. I spoke with a man by the name of August. He was beyond helpful in helping me with my issue over the phone! The original call ended with me obtaining a whole bunch of knowledge about the Coach product and was forwarded to call the one I purchased it from. The service was night and day as I was handed over to a second person to speak with because the first seemed, i dont know, bothered by me? Either or, no help there so i called Carmels branch back and happened to speak with August again . He told me to bring it on by to get a better look at it. Brought it down and he went above and beyond to make me happy with my repair order! That and making up for the other rude store response, this is the type of man you want in your company! Not just because he is an above and beyond member of their brand but his ability to reverse the negative feelings towards the brand after a bad experience is something you do not find in a lot of people.
