I like to stop by this outlet store in the middle of Carmel on Ocean Avenue and check out the latest in Coach. I am a big fan of their leather goods, but not so much the purses as the small leather accessories like address books, picture frames, and iPad covers. They are always so trim and neat and functional! We sometimes go to the Coach outlet store in Gilroy on the way up to Carmel, but often find that the latest styles are at the Carmel store. We were warmly greeted several times the other day as we explored the new looks in bags. I liked the range of colors and the prices are terrific at this outlet store. There always seems to be an extra percentage off certain items, so be sure to watch for the signs. I didn't find a bag, but enjoyed my tour round the new styles!! read more

I have mixed feelings about my visit to this shop in Carmel by the Sea, mainly because I asked a young sales associate a couple questions about the sale that was going on and she got noticeably irritated with me. I'm still not sure why. Also there was no indication that it was a Coach Outlet rather than a Coach Retail store, which I didn't figure out until I got home and read the Yelp reviews. The store was crowded with people and they had a ton of purses on display. I wanted to see a Chelsea 30 in brown suede, a bag I've been thinking about for a while, but they were sold out. I tried a similar bag but no go. I ended up buying a little Faye Shoulder Bag in the color chalk. The irritated sales associate got nicer the longer I spent in the store. The woman who rang me up was friendly and helpful. I haven't bought a Coach purse in over a decade, but I have to admit they are starting to appeal to me again. read more

I've been wanting to get my hands on a suede bag as they're very in right now and i love the look of them. Spotted this bag and loved it right away. Light weight and nice shade of brown. I could have sworn the on-display bag i wanted to buy was a bit of a different color.. more reddish than the one they gave me when i went to buy. They said it was bc the display was out in the 'elements' and that my bag would also change colors. It sounds a bit far fetched but for the price i still love it. They did help me find a new bag with no marks on it so customer service was good in that sense. Hope i wasnt duped! read more

What a dangerous location! After a day of wine tasting I couldn't resist the urge to pop into this coach store. On Saturday, I did some window shopping and was practically sold on a bag, however, I wanted to sleep on it to really make sure that this was something that would fit the capsule wardrobe that I'm trying to curate. Upon entering the store, I was greeted and informed of the current sales which just so happened to be 50% off, excluding perfumes. Additionally, some items were even further discounted by an additional 15%. The sales associate that stood out to me most was Selena. She was helpful and very personable. After I went home and slept on it, I decided I wanted the bag, and I needed the bag. I would certainly recommend this store to anyone in need of some retail therapy. read more

[During COVID-19 Review] This Coach store is a little smaller than other Coach stores I've been too but the staff and service is great! Prior to entering the store, there is a staff member who monitors the # of customers entering/exiting. They only allow up to (9) people in the store at a time. This store does have most of the sales that other stores have. They currently have a 50-70% off sale and a great selection in the clearance section. I haven't shopped at Coach in a long long while, but was able to leave the store with a new pair of aviator sunglasses at 50% off. They were cute and stylish! They also have a lot of make-up bags on sale for 70% off or more so stop by and take a look! read more

Very nice store! Fancy. One side is all women's purses, jewelry, sunglasses. The other side is men's stuff. The worker was very nice and welcoming! Great items! They were having a 70% off purses today. Just looked! Great store! Great customer service! Recommended! read more

I can't believe my luck! After seeing a beautiful handbag on display here, I had to ask the helpful salesperson how much it cost. When she mentioned the additional 50% off, I almost fainted! I was so surprised to learn that this was an outlet store! This store's selection of handbags and accessories is nothing short of amazing. The salesperson that helped me was wonderful too. Although I had already spotted the bag I wanted, the salesperson noticed some other items she thought I might like. It gave me some time to wander the store and look at all the beautiful items. I should have bookmarked this store after reading Timmy S.' really great review a little over a year ago. The service and selection were wonderful here. I will definitely be back to this Coach Store on our next visit to Carmel! read more

What they don't tell you is that this is actually a Coach Outlet store so the prices are much lower than you'd expect. We got lucky because the day we walked in they handed us a coupon for an additional 50% off. So when my wife saw a purse she liked that was already priced so low she would have bought it anyway and then, with the coupon, slashed that price in half.......she walked out of there with a new purse, of course. Sales staff were very friendly and helpful. If you like Coach you absolutely must stop in. read more

It was crazy in here. I thought they were giving away free bags lol. There was a sale going on so all bags were on sale. I am biased, because other than two Michael Kors purses, all my purses are Coach. Love them! There were many sales associates fighting over commissions, but they were all nice and not pushy at all. I got the purse I wanted on sale and that's all it matters :) read more

I heart this store and it has been around FOREVER. Since I can remember this store has been around. When we first started visiting Carmel as a family, we used to come in here for mom's stuff. Now that I am older, I find myself going in there to brave the tourists and check out the goodies. Overall great store with some "bargain" finds if you are lucky.. The customer service is always decent. Note: unless you are a local and have a coveted parking pass.. you need to find street parking.. read more

Went in today and was approached by a curly haired girl named Serena or Selina? Very rude service I went in trying to find a bag for my daughters birthday and she left midway to help another customer. Maybe she thought I wasn't going to spend that much. I went back up to ask her another question but it a seemed like she was more interested talking to her coworkers by the register instead. I ended up leaving...I'd rather drive to gilroy maybe I'd get better service there. Won't be coming back. read more

Is there a zero to give to the snobs who work at this coach?!?! I never ever had a bad customer service like the one I got there. I had a gift receipt and wanted to return the item with the person who bought the gift, but the lady there snapped and without looking at the receipt declined to return the items. I swear to god that I practiced all the self control in the world not to snap back or make her hear something unpleasant- then, when I asked her to check the receipt, she knew she was wrong and had no choice but to return the items. When I asked her nicely why she said no in a snappy way, she looked up and down at me and not responded! I still would like someone from the store to explain the unnecessarily rude treatment! read more

I absolutely love Coach. When my friend found out we were taking a family outing to Monterey Bay Aquarium she told me that there was a Coach Outlet in Carmel. I told my hubby "We must take the kids to Carmel to the beautiful beach!!" I know if I told him I wanted to go to Coach he would have said nooo way. As we were driving down to the beach, oh what a coincidence I told my husband, a Coach outlet store! We must stop!! He and the kids waited in the car, I said "be right back!" HEHEHE Of course it doesn't say Outlet...it looks like a regular Coach store. It's nice and neat and it's in a streets where the stores look like if you go in there you will come out with an arm and a leg missing. Stuff is on sale everywhere, but it's very discreet. The sales associates actually come over and introduce themselves and are not hounding you. The sales associate did do a bit of an up and down look and said wow I love your Coach shoes and your Coach purse...I saw the $$ signs in her eyes LOL!! I actually purchased 5 purses, 2 men's wallets, 1 wallet for me and a necklace. I simply cannot resist, I mean I wasn't paying full retail price!!. As I walked out of the Coach store towards our car, I see hubby rolling his eyes and I tell him..."I'm only carrying 2 shopping bags out of Coach..that isn't bad at all right? plus it's an outlet so I didn't pay full price!" He sighs and shakes his head.... On to the beach we go!! :) read more

Bad customer service! It's awful to write such negative reviews but in order for bad behaviors to be corrected it has to be addressed. Customer service is everything! It can make or break a business especially at this time! People are shopping a lot less and businesses are down everywhere due to our current health crisis, COVID19. Great customer service will bring people back! Unfortunately, one bad seed ruins it for all! And that's the truth! A simple "Thank you and Have great day and a smile" goes a long way! It costs absolutely NOTHING!It's back to basics! Hopefully, this store will address its cashier(s) lack of customer service skills! read more

My wife loves the Carmel coach store and visit it several times a year especially since I now live in Carmel by the Sea. Yesterday she went in to see if she could get her coach hand bag fixed, part of the handle edging was coming off. She went over to one of the sales clerks and she greeted her nicely and said that the hand bag could be fixed may take a few weeks but she also said my purse was on sale. Driving around Carmel, we drove by Coach. My heart started pounding and my eyes grew big. Even after we drove past it, I turned my head around just to see the store until it grew smaller and further away. I said to hubby "can we go in there? I'll just look around a bit and see what they carry." We park and walk up the block. The corners of my mouth turned upwards til it was a HUGE smile. I told hubby to take a picture of me outside the store. We walk in and it was breath taking! My eyes wandered all around at all the pretty Coach bags. The rack in front of me had wristlets and a sign for $39. $39!?!?! That was like HALF OFF the original price. Once I saw that, I knew i wasn't in a regular Coach store. I was in heaven. The very first hand bag that caught my eyes were baby blue and sooo me! I walked over to it and looked at the price. $259.99 Ok not bad. I've never seen Coach bags in baby blue before. And it was just so pretty! I HAD to have it. I looked around some more and half of the things in here, I've never seen before. I didn't really see anything else that I really, REALLY wanted. Oh wait, they had a baby blue coat. But it was like $359 with 30% off. That was still a little bit too much for me. But it was just sooo pretty. =( The store was packed! My hubby couldn't understand why there was so many women in there. The only explanation I could give him was "Coach is like crack!" Not that I know anything about drugs since I've never tried any. Hahaha! I wait in line and when it was my turn, the sales woman stated my total and I had to do a double take. I couldn't believe my eyes, $100 was knocked off. What a deal! That made me feel even better. Oh Coach, I will be back. Who doesn't love Coach with a discount? Now I KNOW I want to marry Coach. I am sooo in love! *sigh* read more

Was incredibly surprised to find an outlet store in such a bougie town. It may not seem like an outlet from the outside, but once you look around at the prices and sales, you'll be pleasantly surprised and excited to shop. They have incredible discounts, plus % off sales on particular styles or sections of the store. There's a large selection that's beautifully organized for both men and women so it's fun to look around. Shoes, bags, coats, sunglasses, fragrances and other accessories-- they have it all! The staff was really friendly and fun to talk to, and they weren't pushy at all. They told us that there are different promos every day, so if we didn't pick something up today to come back and peek inside. On the day we visited, there happen to be a 70% off section PLUS an extra 20% off if you buy two things from the same section. You can find large bags starting at about $90, wristlets for ~$30 and going up from there depending on the style. Of course, keep in mind that you ARE shopping at an outlet so if you ever need to return or exchange something for any reason, it can't go back to a normal Coach store, especially if it's an outlet-exclusive style. Either way, a fun surprise and great shopping experience in Carmel! read more

I stopped into this location to purchase a purse during my visit and sadly did not receive any type of welcome or assistance from any of the 4 employees who were standing there waiting for patrons. At the very least you can offer your help if it's needed "Hi, If you need any help or advice I'd be happy to help." Nothing... Even when I was ready to make my purchase the cashier had to be told I was ready to be rung up even though she seen me standing there. This to me shows what type of management and training this staff has received. read more

I didn't see a sale rack. And THE SALE RACK is what I sniff out in ever designer store. Like the noble hound dog after the fox, except for the fox is not as cute as the others and is wounded somehow. I did NOT see the sale rack and of course every other stupid bag cost as much as my monthly beer supply. And we all know where my priorities lie. And when I asked about the sale rack the sales woman looked at me like I look at my cat's litter box when the poo doesn't quite make it in, and is smeared all over the side and part of it is hanging off the end and the rest is all over the kitchen floor. That was how she looked at me. Bitch. Coach is for old people anyway. I'm getting me a Marc Jacobs bag! That's on sale! For 40 dollars at Crossroads! Put me in a Coach store where every single item is marked down from retail at least 30%, and you've found me in a happy place. Add an additional 20% holiday discount, someone else's credit card and promise of holiday gifts and cheer. Very happy place. This store is organized. The salespeople are friendly and ready to help. The selection is large enough to have me wandering from one corner of the store to another, back and forth, trying to decide what I want. For a non-girly girl who isn't on a lookout for labels, I'm certainly looking forward to opening up the pre-selected presents this Christmas! read more

This place was awesome, always had been. Nice spacious store, nice employees - super friendly. Until... A few weeks ago I was in Carmel with friends, so we wanted to head into Coach. We were turned away because of dogs. I've NEVER had this happen here. In fact, in the past my ex had been outside with my Great Dane and the employees made him bring my dog in for love. It may have just been one person working scared of big dogs, but that was totally unacceptable. I've been to many Coach outlets over the years and the employees always ask me to bring my dog in and they are super welcoming. They need to fire that woman. Carmel is known for how dog friendly it is and the Coach store in particular. This was crap. read more

Oh god. Ok. I've ALMOST come to terms with not being able to afford myself... But, this Coach store is just way too tempting. Sure. They have the regular discounted lovelies. Wish I could give zero stars. I walked in and wasn't greeted at all. I knew exactly what I wanted from browsing online before stopping by. 4 girls behind the register and they didn't bother coming up to me. It's quite possible I'm the only person disappointed to find a Coach Outlet store in Carmel. Leave the outlets for the outlet shopping malls, if I want an outlet I'll go looking for one. With that said this is a very nice Coach outlet and is a lot nicer and more organized than most outlets I frequent. Sales staff was helpful and instantly communicated the additional 50% sale going on that day. A larger than normal men's selection can be had here for those fashionable boys. If you're looking for a deal, look no further I guarantee you will find a deal here. read more

A factory Coach store in the middle of beautiful Carmel city? Why yes!! I've only been here a couple of times, but everytime I go, there seems to be a good sale going on. They gave out 50% off already reduced prices! I obviously know little about purses. But I do know that outlet prices + 50% off = cheap! Yes, I do know that these are all previous models and overstock supplies, but there is always a few nice things here that you can buy, and for authentic Coach products, it will give you happiness and contentment, for now. Customer service is very good, as usual. They are all very friendly without being overly nagging. I don't like being in stores whose employees keep asking if you're ok every 15 seconds. This is surely not one of those stores. It seems to me that more than half of the people that walk in this store, walks out purchasing something. Then you know it's good here! A huge plus for me, is they have a very good selection of men Coach products! I don't think I've ever walked in any other Coach store that has just as much selection for men as they do for women. So A++ for this place, keep up the good work and the clean rooms. They keep this store as organized as possible, and that is commendable for a factory store. read more

I am not a Coach whore in the least. In fact, seeing so many women carry the same bag all over the place makes me want to vomit. That said, I did fall in love with the 30% discount off of 40% off and walked out of there with a hot little red number, without the Coach logo emblazoned all over the place, and can't wait to use it. It's a little wrist strap, with a pocket that can fit my phone, cards, and money. Wa-hoo! They lose two stars because I was the only customer who didn't get approached with a hello or a "Can I help you?" I hate to call racial, dammit, but sometimes it's just uber evident. Oh, and the security guard watching me didn't help. read more

I don't normally walk into Coach stores because I know I can't buy a purse but since we were on vacation and my husband didn't object to going in, I figured I might get a chance to make a purchase. I was handed a 20% off coupon when I walked in and from that point on, I was determined to buy a purse. I walked around a bit, confused by the prices at the top of each cabinet of purses. I found one I loved but wasn't sure if the price of $149 above it was accurate. Upon asking, I was told that yes indeed, that was the price, plus 20%. I grabbed the purse and marched to the register. The sales people were really helpful but not all up in your face the entire time. She wrapped up my purse in tissue paper and placed it in the bag. My 16 year old sister in law has 2 Coach purses and I had zero so now I'm halfway to her total. And my purse is way cuter. :) read more

It is nice to have an "outlet" in Carmel, and I've bought many a handbag, wallet, belt, key chain, and even a raincoat at this store. The discounts are great, and if you are on their email list, you can sometimes get great coupons that make the discounts oh so much deeper. However, I have noticed over the past few years, that more items are showing up that are made ONLY for the Coach outlets. You will not find these handbags in the regular Coach stores. The staff at this outlet store are very helpful and can tell you which items are produced just for outlet sales. When I've examined the "outlet only" purses, I've found them to be of poorer quality in both the fabric and the leather. I've also noticed that the outlet-only items tend to be the ones with the COACH logo splashed all over them. I think this is more to entice the one-time Coach shopper to buy something that is clearly a Coach bag, wallet, etc. Personally I am not a fan of the logo covered accessories and much prefer the sturdy traditional leather pieces that made Coach famous. You can find just a few of those in this store - but they're becoming more and more a rarity! read more

I had bought a purse for my lady going on two years ago. She always places it in the car the same way where the metallic piece that secures the purse closed started to rub off (probably from the vibrations from my system). I had purchased it in San Jose at the valley fair but called Carmels store for assistance since I didn't know they had one so close to me. I spoke with a man by the name of August. He was beyond helpful in helping me with my issue over the phone! The original call ended with me obtaining a whole bunch of knowledge about the Coach product and was forwarded to call the one I purchased it from. The service was night and day as I was handed over to a second person to speak with because the first seemed, i dont know, bothered by me? Either or, no help there so i called Carmels branch back and happened to speak with August again . He told me to bring it on by to get a better look at it. Brought it down and he went above and beyond to make me happy with my repair order! That and making up for the other rude store response, this is the type of man you want in your company! Not just because he is an above and beyond member of their brand but his ability to reverse the negative feelings towards the brand after a bad experience is something you do not find in a lot of people.
