I don't really understand why it was so hard to price check these items but he never did and turned me off on buying shoes. Nevertheless, and despite this clerk not really wanting to assist me, I tried to pay for the board and wheels at the register. The manager at the register was catty and short with me about gripping my board. She was so unpleasant it turned me off to making the purchase all together. I decided to not buy anything because the customer service was so terrible. I really wanted these items but the whole experience just really turned me off. Even the clerk tried to make fun of the DGK board I was trying to buy. I ended up going to Zumiez's a couple doors to purchase these items as the experience was much friendlier. If the customer service isn't there, I'm not buying it.

Just went in search for a "little Black dress" for an…read moredressier evening than I was prepared for. Went to 3 stores in the Crossroads- no one greeted me or even acknowledged that I'd walked in- NO dresses anywhere- went into town to GBG and was immediately assisted by two sales people- they ran around finding things for me to try on- made Me feel like a princess and YES- they actually did have dresses and one little black dress in my size. I ended up with two pairs of fabulous dress pants I never would have normally tried on- a matching jacket and a great turtleneck. $2300+ and 30 minutes later- out the door feeling like a million dollars and since I was running out of time- will have to go back to try on the rest of the outfits they pulled Together for me. My daughter scored a pair of jeans that were originally around $300 for only $60, which honestly made the stop totally worth it. Was not sure if I liked the small fit of the jacket so I ordered a medium and had it sent home so I can try. Easy returns via mail with no charge. The best thing about the Carmel store is the manager, Jessica! She is uber helpful and so sweet. She knows her clothing line also. That is why she is the manager :). He recently earned his PhD and started teaching and we thought it would be a nice gift. The older gentleman that helped us was great. We we ended up selecting a pocket square, socks, and then a sweater that was on their annual sale by the register. We were 100% happy with that experience. Unfortunately a different, younger man (Thomas F on the receipt), checked us out and gift wrapped. He was nice and we chatted about his recent vacation to Costa Rica. I left with a good impression. Unfortunately, this morning when my husband took the gift box with their matching ribbon out of the store's bag, it was covered in a thick coat of dust, like it had been sitting on top of a bookshelf for a long time. I had not thought to take it out and check it. The sweater, socks, and pocket square were nicely wrapped and stickered inside the box, but the price was only removed from the pocket square. The other two still had the price tags on and the sweater had the big red % off sale tag still attached. I was so embarrassed. My husband works so hard for our family and deserved better than that.

He actually knew my measurements without even asking and handed me the exact shirt right off the shelf. No up-sell, no pressure just service. Then when the transaction was complete he said "if you have a minute, I will press it for you". We ran out and grabbed a sandwich while he prepared the shirt and he handed it off with a smile (masked of course). I've been a Patrick James customer for over a decade and have never been disappointed.

The store belongs to his wife, and when he told her covering the store for her was cutting into his practice time at home (he's learning to play the piano) she bought him an electric piano so he could practice at work. He doesn't think that's good for business so the piano is there but mostly unheard. Oy yes, the clothes, fun, different, and reasonably priced. But no piano.
