I want to recognize Susan at the Optical department at the Manteca Target for the excellent service they provided to me. One of my lenses fell out of my eye glasses and I had difficulty seeing without my glasses. Since I had an order to pickup there I decided to go in and see if they could pop the lens back. They had asked if I had purchased the glasses there and I told them no and explained that the Optometrist where I purchased would not be able to see me until Monday afternoon. Susan looked at the glasses and said no problem and even replaced my nose pads at no charge for the service. Not very often you find this kind of customer service. Pretty upset. I've been standing in line for almost ten minutes. They had one line open and a huge line at the self checkout. I had five things in my basket ans standing behind someone with a large amount of items. When they opened up a new line, instead of pulling me over (items in my hands) they pull the person behind me, and the person behind her. So now those two people are done before me and I'm still in line. Be better at being aware of who has been there and don't skip over people. read more

Very disappointing store. Went to go into store for our weekly shopping because we were close by but there were not shopping carts available. There were a couple girls talking and we asked about getting a cart and they said "I think someone is getting them and turned away. I spend 30 years in retail and I don't think I've ever seen a store so poorly run. I've tried ordering for curbside pickup but many things are always out of stock. I'm an avid shopper at this Target location - I placed a pickup in store order today. I had about 6-7 items, most liquid. When I was given the bag, I noticed a lemon scent which ended up being a cleaning product that had spilled in the bad and soiled the items. The kind employee, Madison offered to get all the items again. She didn't take a long time and though some items weren't available, she somehow made it work. I really appreciate her going the extra mile to make sure I had all my needs met. read more

I love Target. But come on now why is this store always messy. Put the employees to work and blitz with the recovery. I see other employees socializing. They should have the supervisors to work on the recovery. Come by the POS when a cashier has an issue. They are always on the Front End. Not in the clothing departments recovering. I cannot use a delivery service company in town because the food section of the store is not full. Where is the food at! Especially where the meats are sold at. The dairy case is always empty a lot every time I go there. Organic milk is so expensive expect to pay $6-8 dollars a gallon for organic milk. The Hayward locations are always fully stocked with food and merchandise. It's always clean and organized. Guess what it's the hood and I wouldn't call it a ghetto anymore. The employees there in Hayward have much more pride into there work. Makes me want to comeback more. Get it together Manteca come on now. You're much better then this. read more

This is still the best Target in the area, almost like a hidden gem in the San Joaquin Valley. The only times you will encounter a good number of people is after school hours as well as the weekends, other than that is pretty quiet and easy to walk around. The only thing is that they don't have as many items in stock as the other Target stores because of the fact that those items don't get sold right away. You might have to either order items online for pick up or delivery, especially when it comes to baby items. The parking lot is never busy, so you will find yourself with enough space to park close to the main entrance. read more

The people who work here are really nice, and the store is generally clean, but they really need better security or surveillance. Multiple times I have purchased items at this location, only to find a crucial part missing. At first I chalked it up to bad luck and manufacturer packaging issues. Now I know that people are opening things in store, taking stuff out of packaging, and closing it back up. How do I know this? Because I have seen people doing it multiple times in store. The first time I saw it happen, a kid was doing it, and being a nosy teacher, I said something. He made some excuse about taking the part of the paint kit to show his mom and see if it was the right part. Ok... that might be believable if you took the package with you... The next few times adults were the culprits. As much as I'd like to be a good law abiding citizen, snitching on people stealing from Target doesn't make my top priority list of uncomfortable things that should be done anyway. I let a store worker know the first time, and her response was, "Shoplifting is pretty common. If I didn't see it happen, I can't accuse someone." So they know this is going on, and are just as uncomfortable confronting people about it. While I understand they can write things off from theft, it is unfortunate for their other customers, who say, buy a Glade air freshener kit and open it up to find the oil part missing. The part that is $6 by itself, which is the reason the customer bought the kit and not the separate parts in the first place. It's a bit of a hassle, so when possible, I purchase items from the Target in Sunnyvale before heading up to visit Manteca. read more

This is a great store. Very well stocked. Cashiers are nice. The only flip side. The respect each customer is shown. It's a hit or miss. It's like employees come here for a paycheck without the added responsibility's. They avoid you at times and sometimes will redirect you to another person. Then leave you waiting for five to ten minutes. I get it, you have stocking and other objectives to accomplish. But it doesn't give you the right to be mean or disrespectful to other customers you deem fit. The security guards here are not really focused at all. How can you call yourself security when your just station by the jewelry section chatting with other employees. Your completely off guard and should be patrolling the store. Even offering other customers help with directions or to another employee for help. As a United States Army Veteran, I've had my fair share of security details and missions. You win the people over. You don't make fun of its customer base who shop here for your amusement. That's not your obligation. Other then that, thank you Target. For being a great store. You need a more welcoming atmosphere for your new and returning customers. read more

If I could give this store"no stars" I would. I've been living and shopping in Manteca for six years and I have never experienced the worst case of racial profiling until I walked in this store. The few times I've been in this store, they're poor security team I have never missed the opportunity to follow me and damn near break their necks as I shop...so sad. One side of me thinks it's extremely comical but the other side I realize how pathetic and unprofessional this target team is. Also, I walked into the store this evening searching for a CD that I previously had researched and realize they had it in stock. I go to the electronics department only to be greeted by target employees playing loud music through the display speakers, showcasing a song with every other word using the n-word. Keep in mind this is on display for the entire store, all shoppers to here as they walked the aisles. I said to the sales associate, "don't you think that's a little inappropriate"? I was walking IN Target with my boyfriend and as we are walking, i suddenly fall! There was water all over the floor and no sign of beware of water. I was so embarrassed! Target at Spreckles Rd in Manteca CA....my frustration grows every time I attempt to take advantage of the drive up service within two hours of placing the order. I need to use the electric carts most of the bigger stores provide. I went into the Target in Manteca today - Sunday and it was busy. No cart. However, a nice staff member asked what I needed and got me a chair to sit on while I waited for one of their two carts to come available. Note: while nice staff, no one at the local Safeway or Walmart has ever offered that. The staff then checked round the store and outside, eventually finding one. And then the other. I was spoken to several times, thanking me for my patience. This was true customer service at a busy time. Well done to the management for encouraging this in their staff! read more

This store was very rude when I called in about a item. When I asked the person if they had it the told me they had 3 but couldn't find them. I then asked for them to transfer me to the correct department where this item is located when instead the hung up on me. I called back to the specific department where the girl was extremely rude. I asked her to talk to a manager witch she replied " the person who just hung up on you was the manager." And then she said " if you don't want to get hung up on again you would call a different target." Then witch she hung up on me. Some of the employees at this store need to find new careers or get trained for a few years in customer service. I was interested in a new 4K tv, asked one of the "experts" and he was worthless. I asked about a certain brand of TV and all he could tell me was that his friend had one and it was ok. He tried to sell me on the higher brands only. Then he left the conversation with a long awkward pause as if to say...ok now what. I just hate it when an associate can't even seem like they are in a good mood even when they are having a bad day. Just shopped at my local Target. A family wasn't wearing masks. I asked an employee why they were allowed to shop in the store when the state is still on an emergency order to wear masks. The employee said that they can offer a mask, but not require people to wear them. This is all garbage since private businesses can set shopping requirements, i.e. no shoes, no shirt, no service. Well, my local Target store just lost my business! Those of us who care about others and wear masks have money too! Target, goodbye! I had an AirPod Pro return for an online order. I didn't have my original receipt. When I inserted my payment card my order still couldn't be found. Our family is new to the area and I have to say that this Target has the most unfriendly employees and non-shopper friendly sales floor I've ever experienced in a Target store. The employees are RUDE and treat you like you are in THEIR way when you are in the store trying to shop during OPEN STORE HOURS. They block the aisles off with their carts while they restock shelves and get annoyed with you if you try to come down the aisle and SHOP FOR THE ITEMS YOU CAME TO BUY. This morning trying to shop their was an absolute joke. Almost EVERY aisle I tried to go down was blocked off by some pissy employee trying to stock items. I've never experienced this. read more

With prices higher at this store than the Lathrop Target store and the time it takes for employees to price match with an identical Target only ten miles down the road. It doesn't make sense to shop here. I often wonder why it is so difficult to get price matching with Target with another Target store especially when the stores are located across town. I have recently started buying my groceries and using their pharmacy here instead of Walmart because Target is much closer to home and the prices are comparable. I will break down my review by sections. Groceries: The selection here is very good and they always have everything I need. The grocery section is always less crowded so it is easier for me to get what I need and go. They have the name brand items and the market pantry brand which is their store brand items which are cheaper for the most part. Everything is always well stocked and the aisles are always clean which is important. Pharmacy: The customer service here is good. The pharmacists and the techs are really nice but they are always busy. I have always had to wait in quite a long line no matter when I come here. They have quite a long list of $4 generics which is a great money saver. They do their best to fill you prescriptions as fast as possible but they have a lot of customers. The bottles are really cute and cool looking and the are color coded so you know who has what. Mine are purple and my husband's are blue. Customer Service: Here is hit or miss. Often times they do not have enough cashiers up front to accommodate the amount of customers checking out so all the lines are long. That is pretty annoying when I just run there to grab one or two things. They have express lanes for 10 items or less but none of them are never open. When we they have enough cashiers though things are quick and easy. They also have a Target debit card you can sign up for and typically I do not like to sign up for things like that but you save 5% everytime you use this. I know it is not much but it is better than nothing. It is nice to save some money. The cashiers are always nice and friendly. I have never had a problem with any of them. That's my take on Target. I like that place. It has it's up and downs and it is convenient to shop there. read more

This is my favorite Target of the Central Valley, they're always nice and organized here. No crazy lines up front. That's the biggest complaint I hear from people about Target is that they never have enough cashiers. Guess what, Target is a busy store and there are other tasks that merit work aside from standing still, just in hopes of a rush. There will be cashiers when there is a rush, so chill and be patient, 5 minutes won't kill you. On a side note, I buy all my kids diapers here. Target has always been a uptight clean environment, it doesn't matter which one you go it. In the manteca location everything is always clean, nice and put in it's place. I prefer Target items because it is sturdier compared to Wal-mart's item. I usually find what I need and grab everything I dont need. On a lucky day I will find good sales and there's a ton of cute item. I like to take my time at this Target and I average 2 to 3 hours just looking, but I will only go 3 to 4 times a month as the items can get pricey adding everything up. Try their cartwheel and dont forget about the red card, a little saving here and there goes a long way... read more

Before entering any target put on your blinders & attempt to leave with only the items you originally intended to buy... Easier said than done. ( Side Note: Items that tend to sneak in my cart: nail polish, lip gloss, body wash, ice cream, bathing suit) Food!!! I am a happy camper now that this store has a grocery section. I don't do all of my shopping here because they simply don't have everything, but one thing I will always check here first is for SPICES. Their Target brand- Market Pantry spices are much cheaper than the grocery store! Spices can range from $4-8 per spice but the target brand offers them for $.99- 2.50. Again if you are looking for an obscure spice they may not have it but check here first for all your main spice needs! Another item that I will always check at Target for first is BOOKS! Since the closest book store is the B&N in Modesto, Target is where I buy my books & they are much cheaper too! read more

This target is a breath of fresh air to me. I live in Stockton, and work a block away from the march ln Target. In comparison, the Manteca target is always well stocked, and never has the absolutely horribly long lines that the Stockton store can have. Like any Target... it's well lit, with it's products displayed in an alluring manner. I always go in for 2 or 3 things, and end up spending $80. Something about Target just makes me want to spend money. Overall, this particular one is right in the middle: Better than March Ln, But not as good as Trinity Pkwy, or Lathrop. read more

This is my go-to Target! The facilities are usually well kept and in order. The cashiers AND returns are incredibly efficient and they don't pummel you with Red Card offers. They're actually quite personable. Because of this, the lines are always bearable. One thing that I feel sets this store apart is the customer service. On a handful of occasions, I've had to call and ask questions and they've always been patient and incredibly helpful. I've done returns and exchanges, and it's never a hard time. They're understanding and make sure you resolve your problems with the products. The Starbucks in this Target is also very friendly and quick. read more
