If you don't understand what this means then take yoself to Walmart and save yourself some money. Terrible customer service, paid off a red card and they lady said it would be all good to use. So I went grocery shopping and had my card be declined, ran back over to customer service where they had both gave attitude, some guy with long blonde curly hair, and glasses, thought it was okay to give me attitude. I paid off the card and he's tells me "you have to wait a few minutes bro" I just went shopping for 45 minutes??? Then the lady, had told me "I definitely told you, you would have to wait a day." When I specifically asked her if it was good to use? So y'all have some liars and unprofessional workers. Highly suggest y'all work on your customer service. read more

Discrimination. A word I don't like and a practice that I abhor. I dislike when people are discriminated against simply because of one's color or orientation. I don't like it when it happens to others and I especially do not like it when it happens to me. After visiting a neighboring restaurant, we visited Target to pick up some books and a few groceries. After finishing our shopping, I got into a line. Two people jumped in front of me. I didn't like it but life sometimes is too short to sweat the small stuff. I could have stood in line fuming but I chose to find another line. In the second line, my husband and I placed ALL of our articles on the conveyor belt of the checkout counter. Instead of ringing our articles up, a female suddenly jumped in front us. The male cashier picked up her article to ring her up. I complained that we were in line and she jumped in front of us. He said that she had just one item. I indicated that if I had been asked, it would have been different. Instead, she jumped in front of us without asking. The cashier rang her up, with both of them grinning. I asked to see the manager because frankly, I honestly felt that it was deliberate discrimination based upon the color of my skin, especially when the cashier chose to ignore my complaint, ring the person up, and grin at the girl. When someone came to the counter, she had no identification indicating that she was management. When I asked her position, she indicated that she was the manager. I explained to her what happened and she said, in a lame voice, that she was sorry. The male cashier began to exclaim that he didn't know that I hadn't agreed for the girl to go in front of me. It was such a blatant lie and the way I was being treated by the cashier and "manager," all of different ethnic origins than me, I exclaimed that I was sorry that I had a different color of skin than him but that was no way to treat me. Yeah, I know, this is something I would not normally say (in fact I have never said it to someone) but I really felt like I was being ignored and discriminated against. The "manager" proceeded to walk away and call 2 security officers, despite the fact that I had never raised my voice, was not acting in a threatening manner, was well-dressed, and was only attempting to voice a complaint about how I was treated. I could not believe it. When I asked for the contact information of the regional manager, the "manager" came back with a customer service number. I had to ask for the names of both individuals and was only given first names. The ironic thing was that this situation could have ended in a much more amicable way. All the "manager" had to do was behave in a manner that said that she was honestly listening to my concerns and not blowing me off! As I perused the reviews of this place, I find it very ironic that I am not the only one who has mentioned discrimination. read more

Oh, Target, you got me again. I went to this Target yesterday with my S.O. in search of a 1.5 V battery for a little timer. I walked out with everything but the battery. We had been looking for a fun entry-way mirror and thought we'd have to go to Ikea to find the one we wanted (kind of like a starburst with one center mirror and other mirrors on spokes originating from the center). I've looked in other Target stores for something similar, to no avail. So, imagine my surprise when we saw a similar one here. Score! And it will look great in the house. AND, we don't have to brave the maze and craziness that is Ikea. Points for having something that we've been wanting for awhile. I also found the original version of a body wash that recently changed its formula and packaging. So, score on getting two bottles of the original one that smells better! I was impressed by this Target's collection of "green" design -- prints, furniture, storage units. If we had the need for random wicker bar stools, I would certainly consider buying them here. I'm only giving this location 3 stars, however, because it took FOREVER to find tissues. Seriously. Logically, I would put them near the bathroom tissue and paper towels, so that's where I looked first. Nope. No tissues. Then, I found the bulk tissues. If I had wanted bulk tissues, I would have gone to Costco and bought a pallet of them..... I asked a Target employee, who directed me to the complete opposite side of the store in the "Beauty" section. Alas, there were the tissues. Points for good customer service and knowledge about the store's product locations. It shouldn't have been so difficult to find them, especially since they're such a common item. They also get 3 stars because they didn't have the one thing I really needed: that 1.5 V battery. They did have a collection of special-sized batteries, but were out of that size. That didn't stop me from checking every "battery station" located throughout the store. No battery. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this Target again, but if I happen to be in Fremont and need something Target-y, I'll brave it. Next time, I'll bring a map and compass. read more

As soon as Matt walked into the retail giant to just browse and kill some time, Matt was immediately greeted in a mysterious way and being followed by a big red-shirt, $7.50 an hour male associate to hopefully see if Matt can persuade any kind of theft or other criminal activity(s). Matt entered the store & made a right towards the ladies and shoes section: He was chatting and jabbering with other associates. Matt made a left towards the Toys section: He was at the end of the Barbie-section, picking up loose items and debris. Matt made another left towards the kitchen section: He was assisting another customer and eyeing Matt like a hawk. Matt went towards the electronic section for a digital camera: He was across the way in the magazine-section pretending to read. Matt was going towards the medicine aisle: He was chatting with another associate nearby in the jewelry section. Matt immediately left the store without any purchase. He ran around the aisles, and gave Matt a dirty look as he walked into the store office. The loser has nothing better else to do, but to follow an Asian man, who has a 10 times bigger salary than him. The Target associates wasn't aware who is he dealing with. read more

I never thought I'd give 1 star to a Target. Afterall, I'm a loyal target shopper. However, today was the worst experience I've ever had. My bill came to $5.33. I handed the cashier a $5 bill and 2 quarters...making it $5.50. Then while she was getting my change, I noticed I had three pennies, so I was telling my bf, "Oh, I should of gave her the 3 pennies too, o well!" Then the casher goes "Do you have another nickel? I mean 3 pennies?" and I'm thinking "oh I guess she overhead me." SO...I handed her the 3 pennies, assuming I'd get 20 cents back. NOPE. She hands me 2 pennies. WTF???? So I tell her that I gave her 53 cents, and she goes no, "You gave me 1 quarter, and a nickel" and I look at my bf, and go "I gave her 2 brand new quarters!!" My bf knew I was right, but he didn't want me to make a scene.. I know I only over paid 20cents, but the fact that the casher was Wrong and wouldn't claim her mistake made me really angry. I really dread coming to this target but unfortunately it is walking distance for me so it makes my life easier but tbh it is so unorganized clothes EVERYWHERE the veggies and fruit are not always fresh they have the bare minimal of cooking necessities and sometimes when your in a hurry have kids you want to make one stop and get everything done but going to target I don't always get the things on my list because they do not carry it. On one of the failed attempts to find the German place across the street I came in here instead. It's big, it's crowded and the parking lot is situated on a corner which is strange. I don't believe in Feng Shui but there is an off vibe shout this lot. All I really needed was baby formula. I perused the clothing but found that the styles at this target were not to my liking. So when did Target change their hours? People -- they close at midnight ....... MIDNIGHT!!!!!! Either I assume every store in the universe closes at 9 pm or earlier, so on one odd evening when I was getting out of work early -- I checked closing time and almost fell out of my chair. Do you mean to tell me I could've been shopping at this location past 10:00 pm for months?!?!?! Wha?!?! Now, I already love Target (even the grubby ones) but this opened my eyes to a whole new world! I like this location too -- close to home, none of the employees ask me if I need help, (I've not spoken with any Target *member* except at checkout) items are easy to find, and I can do something insane, like -- go out to dinner AND THEN shop at Target!!! I wish this target opened at 6 or 7 am instead of 8pm. There are usually long lines at the register and at the self checkout. What is nice about target is that they have fresh fruits, large grocery section, clothes, electronics, cosmetics sports, kids toys and is cleaner than most locations. I usually come here to buy a snack for work. The cosmetic section is about 2 isles and was at least 4 isles 1-2 years ago. The drug stover/convenience store makeup is starting to get just as expensive at shopping at Ulta or Sephora though. read more

So this is a scarily quiet mall on a weekend. I don't shop here in general or any large malls because there's none in close proximity to San Francisco downtown, ah those independent operators. But chance would have it and I was here and bought a couple really good CD sets, 1 with Venice music and another particularly for reading. Great great CD sets that I would not have discovered if not seeing them on the shelves because you can't amazon music of this kind easily. Can't give it more than 3 stars because they did not offer any discounts nor did I find anything else that caught my eyes. read more

This is a huge Target....Haven't explored all of it but found exactly what I wanted on the Clearance Rack. A friend had worn a very cute sweater with a donut on it and said it was the last one at our local Target (Alban). I knew it was the perfect gift for a teen friend of mine so I decided to see if the Fremont Target had it---it did! Success! Lots of shoppers and lots of checkers. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I walked into this store to buy a gift for a 4 year old boy and notice the line was hella freaking long. (OK, I know... its two day till Christmas) So I decided to walk to the jewelry department were there was no line to try to purchase a toy. The cashier told me that she can't help me because she is busy with a customer. I said "not a problem" so I waited till she was done with the customer and asked if I can purchase the toy here. This Bit*h straight up told my "NO" I was like "What??? Why can't I?" Her reply was I only can check out customers who buy jewelry. WTF is that??? So I asked for the manager and Athena came out and asked "is there a problem?" I asked her if I can check out here?. She said "No". So I asked her why can't I? She said this is reserved for customer who purchase jewelry. I looked around looking for a sign saying "jewelry purchases only" which was not there of course. When did that start happening? I remember buying products that was not jewelry at the jewelry department before with out any problems. I was dumb founded. I even waited till there was no customer in that department and asked again nicely. They still said "NO" I was saying what is the problem? I have 1 item and don't want to wait in a long line. Athena's reply was "we don't want the cashier to be bombarded with a long line of customer" WTF is that? She can't handle it or something? That's her job. I was pissed. So I asked for her district manager number and she told me to call guest relations. I called that number right there on the spot and complained. They asked me to pass the phone to a Target team member so they can get their side of the story and I said "I'm using my cell phone." Guest relations said I should be using the target phone line instead. Really? Why the fu*k that Bit*h Athena told me to call the number myself? Now I'm really PISSED!!! After talking to to guest relations again on the Target phone line for 45 Min's now they basically said fu*k You and sided with Athena. WTF IS THAT??? THAT IS STRAIGHT UP BULL SH*T. This is my favorite Target of all time in the area. This Target is way more organized than the ones nearby. The service is always helpful, you just have to utilize it. Recently, I tried to buy some lawn chairs that I saw in the Sunday advertisements, but I didn't see them on the floor. So I found an associate and he directed me to the customer service desk, and they spent a good amount of time with my trying to locate the item number and the lawn chairs themselves. Super helpful and beneficial. Who could not love Target, especially a friendly and helpful Target? read more

Meh. I go to Target for necessities and the occasional cheap outfit, but this location is pretty headache-inducing. There are always unruly children screaming and running around, their parents oblivious to the annoyance they're causing. Speaking of children, there once was a lost child -- probably only three years old -- wandering the aisles, crying, and instead of, oh I dunno, getting on her walkie-talkie and contacting other employees about the lost child, an employee told the child to "yell louder." I was appalled. Fortunately, another alert shopper contacted someone up front (I was about to do so). Another time, I saw a child of about five or six wildly driving one of the motorized scooters intended for the handicapped through the aisles, knocking into things, and did any employee tell him or his mother that he had to stop? Of course not. Items are often out of stock, and it's weird how often I get defective merchandise, have to bring it back (returns are easy -- there's a star), and then can't get a replacement for it because they're out of that item. Still, I must admit I'm a sucker for their designer lines. But why is almost everything black so badly dyed? It often looks very green or brown. Don't get jersey items unless you intend them to be pretty disposable. They pill up like crazy. The Massimo woven stuff is usually nice, though. read more

Although located close to my current residence, Target has not always held the "most favored shopping area" status with yours truly. However, I have forgiven the one who brought on that issue, and have since started shopping again at Target. Although I now have a better source for my paper products (paper towels, bath tissue, etc.), this store makes a good alternate. My finds of the day are bottles of sparkly fruit flavored water for $0.62 each. I also picked up a new set of catch pans for my electric kitchen range (set of four, 2 sizes, for $11.99). So yes, occasional trips for me now permitted to Target, even encouraged. read more

I've lived in Fremont for well over 4 years and I've only been to this place twice, all within the last couple of weeks. (I needed to get some hangers). The place is super large and clean. The workers are ober friendly. I didn't even have to ask them for help! They just came up to me or if I walked passed them they would ask if I needed assistance. Wow, what a change! But the employees seem almost robot like to me. *In robotic voice* - "Can. I. Help. You. ?.", "How. Are. You. Today.?" etc etc. Maybe, that's why they were so helpful? 'Cause they've been brainwashed at the Target Training Facility . If they need to brainwash a few minions, in all aspects of retail, to make them helpful, I'm all for it! This is like a 4.5. -.5 'cause I stepped in some kind of tacky, sticky, clear, glue shit at the entrance of the store, and it's still on my cross training shoes. How annoying. =T read more

Excuse my target Lingo. I also work at Target but a different one. Me and my family come here often since it is so close by. I was willing to give this place four stars had it not been for the one particular behavior of a guest service team member. If she's there I'd avoid making a return because of the uninvited audacious remarks she would say. This place is fine. They have everything and the sales floor team members are really nice and helpful. It gets really busy at the main lanes/ registers. They do their best to accommodate everyone. On returns: One particular guest service lady was rude to me-- not once-- but twice upon different returns here. Once is okay, I'll let it slide since I know guest service gets mouthed at by many guests. However, I did not give her any reason to be rude at all. I said "hi" and tried to make polite conversation the first time when I was returning a old-fashioned silver clock. The clock was battery operated and failed to work after several days The battery was fine. They were brand new rechargeable ones and I've even tried a different set of batteries, to no avail. After the return, she snapped a comment at the end of the transaction: "Next time get an electronic one." Excuse me? How about saying, "I'm very sorry this clock did not work out for you. You might want to try an electronic one next time." That's more like the Target brand, not short rude comments. Overall this store is great and I will continue to come here again. Just the experience at guest service was a little hilarious. read more

TARGET FREMONT HUB IS RACIST! Racial profiling at it's finest I have never felt racially profiled before until yesterday 7/31/18 while shopping at this Target. My 8 year old daughter and I came here to exchange a jacket and decided to pick up a few more items. We were in the store for about 45 minutes I got the jacket 2 t shirts , 2 packs of underwear, trail mix, and 1st day of school chalk board. My daughter got a Lego toy and purse which she purchased with her own money. While shopping I noticed seeing the same 2 gentlemen with tan pants (Target uniform) one shirt said tech and the other security. I didn't pay much mind just thought to myself oh they are everywhere. I am a bit of a germaphobe so whenever I shop I use shopping basket cover (for babies) so I don't have to touch the basket. I had my shopping basket cover yesterday as well as my reusable bags. While I was shopping I noticed the shirts were falling out through the hole where a child would put their legs so I lifted the plastic seat to prevent anything from falling out. I have been shopping before and had a candle fall out those very holes and land on my feet OUCH not a good feeling I still have the scar! While shopping I got a call from my bestfriend so we were catching up me telling her about my trip I had just come back from etc. I go to customer service to exchange the jacket and pay for our things. We exit the store and 2 men approach us ( one of the men I kept seeing in the store while shopping with tan pants and shirt that said security)saying do you have somethings you didn't pay for and points to where my purse and reusable bags are sitting in the seat of the basket. I lift my belongings and I had forgotten about the 2 shirts and 2 pack of panties. I respond oh my God I'm so sorry I completely forgot I will pay for them EMBARRASSING! We walk back in the store he says follow me to register 16 which I do. I'm on the phone with my friend still so I'm telling her "girl why did I just forget to pay for somethings running my mouth". Well when we get to register 16 there is a door off to the left that they open and ask me to step inside which we do once inside the door there is a room they ask us to go into. At this point I'm like wait hold on what's going on so I tell my friend let me call you back and see what's going on. When I get off the phone the guy who identified himself as Nick tells me he has been following me around the store for the last 30 minutes( so basically the entire time we were there) watching me and saw me fixing stuff up ( referring to me lifting the seat to prevent the shirts from falling out). I explained to him it's clearly a misunderstanding and that is not the situation non of what he is trying to hear. He states he has video and will not go into details because my daughter is there ( oh now you are concerned about my daughter) and he is not going to try to get me to confess. I am now sitting there in complete disbelief waiting for the cameras to come out and say I'm being punked. He ask to look in my purse which I allow and he looks in my reusable bags. He then says he's not placing me under arrest and I'm not being charged with anything this is a citizen's arrest I will receive something in the mail from target explaining everything and they may request me to pay restitution for their time they had to spend with me. They take my ID and take a photo of me and tell me I can't come back to this Target for a year. Now if this wasn't enough after I complied with everything as we were leaving the room Nick stops my 8 year old daughter whose wearing the purse she just purchased and says did you pay for that .EXCUSE ME! At that point I lost it for a moment they have really taken this too far. I responded YES ! she paid for it you saw everything else but you didn't see that ! Nick then responds oh I wasn't sure I didn't see . I WILL NEVER EVER SPEND ANOTHER DOLLAR AT TARGET. I have had similar incidents happen at grocery stores or Walmart where I may have water or something at the bottom of the cart or back of basket and forget to pay and its noticed and I pay and go on with my day. The nerve of these people who followed me around the store the ENTIRE time I was there is RIDICULOUS and then for them to accuse my daughter of stealing I'm APPALLED! SHAME ON YOU TARGET AND YOUR NOVICE SECURITY! We were in the store 30 /45 minutes and Nick stated he had been following me for 30 minutes. What about me said I needed to be followed ? Note this review is based on calling into the store only. Visiting the store I would give normally 4 stars, but my experience on calling to ask a question, I am giving the store 1 star. My girlfriend was calling the store to ask if there are anymore baby onesies for St Patrick's Day left. Well who knew this would be such a hard feat to try to accomplish... The lady, who barely understood and spoke English (I would love to be able to communicate with a person no matter what the situation), could not help us in the least. She did not understand what this was, which is okay, but she could also not find any way to help us. We asked for someone in the baby department so they would not have to walk to the section. This is another impossible request from us. She could not figure out who to forward us to, nor would try to find someone to help. Lastly, asking for a manager got us full circle to "what can I help you with?" Well, get us the manager on the phone, because that is our request of how you can help. I LOVE Target! I prefer it over Wal-Mart. This location is the same as every other so I can't really tell you something you don't already know. The staff is really friendly and I've had great experiences here. The only knock on it is that it's laid out a little differently than most Targets. It's weird... For example, the laundry detergent isn't grouped next to the Cleaning Supplies section. If you don't have a Target RED Card, you need to get one. 5% off on all purchases and free shipping on everything you buy something from their website. read more

They're open until midnight!! Not sure if that's holiday hours or how they normally are... This Target is like any other Target I've been to. Pretty big, same selections nothing different. One thing I did notice is that around 11:30PM, close to closing, they started barricading some aisles with shopping carts... Not sure what that was about but it was inconvenient having to walk around the huge wall they made. So for that I took off a star. There's plenty of parking here and bathrooms are pretty clean.. I bought some furniture from here, and I am so far very satisfied with the look and quality of the pieces, considering the pricing was very reasonable. The store associates also helped load the large and heavy furniture items into the car- so nice! Sucks!! Bought a toaster oven on line for store pickup. Tried to call to check on pickup time. Stayed on the phone for more than 45 min. maybe more. No one answered. Even got cutoff 3 times. Then decided to go ahead to pickup the item. Waited in line as expected but no one explained anything. Turned the department manager wad serving but did not occur to her she could at least open her mouth to ask or explain what was going on. I asked for the store manager and was told he had gone home. Now I know why I am an Amazon prime customer. read more

Pros: They are open pretty late compared to some other Targets I've been to, and normally everything is neat and tidy. Cons: Check out lines are a bit slow even when all of them are open, and there are about 2 people in line at each station. I feel they should be able to work faster, it's not that hard to scan the item, tell me a total, and collect money. Also, if your dressing room has torn tags in it, go into another dressing room. The dressing room attendant chased after me, and ask if I knew where some tags came from after I left the dressing room (pretty much trying to accuse me of stealing "TARGET" clothes??), and I said no, it was there when I went into the dressing room. She kept staring at me. I then kept shopping and found something else to try on, I left my basket outside due to store policy, and when I got out there, she had rummaged thru my basket, messing up everything I neatly stacked into it. I know she was trying to make sure I wasn't a crook, but at the same time, if she did her job, which is make sure people who went in with 5 items comes out with 5 items, instead of sitting at the desk and talking on the phone, she would have caught the person who really ripped them off. read more

(Please note I've reviewed other Targets in the area and the last half of this review is a general review of Target as a company so if you've read my other Target reviews, you can skip that part.) This location is perfect for wasting away an afternoon. This location is probably the largest Target in the area, aside from the one at New Park Mall. This location is my favorite because I can coordinate shopping at Trader Joe's and anything else in the hub, which is convenient because I have a baby and I can't be running around too much to get errands done. This location has a vast selection of everything and is the best place to come after you get the Sunday ad and see something you want to jump on. Some of the reasons why I like this location: -The folks that work here are pretty nice and provide fast customer service. -Multiple entry points so I can get from one side to another fairly quickly. -Clean bathrooms. This place always has clean bathrooms. -Lots of parking in the front or back parking lot. -There are always tons of cash registers open and every cashier is totally fast (sometimes so fast they are done scanning and bagging my stuff before I have a chance to take out my Target reusable bag for them!) -The garden section is pretty well-maintained. -Clearance sections are quite robust. The only things that bother me about this place include: -I have bad to no cell phone service which is really inconvenient. -Shopping carts can't go past the garden center, which makes it difficult for me to move a big load into my car with my stroller and diaper bag. In general I support Target for so many reasons. Yes, Target is a big-box corporation, but they are so different from Wal-Mart and K-mart. They support local schools, they provide benefits for domestic partners, they donate money to equality issues, and as a corporation, they make every effort to treat their employees fairly. Target stores offer quality Target-brand items as well. I especially like the Archer Farms organic line of food items and the market pantry items are really cheap! I have started shopping for grocery store items at Target as well because their food section is well-stocked with dry, frozen and refrigerated items that are often cheaper than Lucky or Safeway. Some of the items I buy at Target include Archer Farms organic milk, Skippy all natural peanut butter, Orowheat bread, Honey Nut Cheerios, and Activia yogurt. In addition, I really like the clothing section (especially the Mossimo line and when I was pregnant, the maternity line fit me perfectly), the Sonia Kashuk make up line, and many of the Target-brand items like shoes, bedsheets, and kitchenware. All the above I've listed can only be found in Target stores. Some tips for shopping at Target: They have a great return policy where if you purchased an item but can't find the receipt, you can give them the credit card or gift card you purchased the item with and they can look it up for you. In the store, there are self-service price scanners that make it easy to figure out how much something costs. And I love the ends of the aisles, where reduced price and clearance items can often be found. I also love the after-holiday clearance sales because you can find some really great things! At the end of the day, Target is waaaay better than Walmart and Kmart. read more

Giving this Target store one star in hopes that management improves their inventory. I hate this Target because it's always hit or miss on item availability. If you go to this Target to buy something, chances are, they won't have it. Last week the cold medicine aisle was almost cleared out and they had zero thermometers. They ran out of every thermometer lol. Also be careful to check prices, a lot of items in the baby section are not in the right places. read more

I always come to this target because it's the only one in Fremont, besides the one at the Newpark mall. This target now has a produce section, which I absolutely love, and everything you can imagine in a Target. From womens clothing, mens clothing, shoes, beauty, shampoo, pets, stationary, bedding, things for the home, DVDs and CDs, sports section, and toys... this Target has it all. I must warn you that it gets busy.... but it's still pretty clean! Love that! read more
