I love Target! ...just not this one. Maybe I've been spoiled with how nice the ones at Pacific Commons, North 1st in San Jose, or Hesperian in Hayward are, but this one just doesn't seem up to par. It's pretty messy in the clothes areas and the place just seems a bit darker. The dollar section is pretty bad though. There really wasn't much there when I went and everything was incredibly messy. Maybe it was because I came around 9 at night? I don't know, I feel like it should still have more there. Don't get me wrong though. Target is Target and they still have plenty stocked elsewhere to get what you need. However, in comparison to other Targets I've been to (and like everyone else, I'm sure, I've been to a lot), it just doesn't seem as nice. Still, it's got it's upsides. Plenty of parking as all Targets have. The employees seemed nice. This one's located right in Fremont Hub so the shopping doesn't end here! It's definitely convenient if you'd like to spend the day doing more shopping around. If you're close and convenience is what gets it for you, sure, shop here. But if you'd like something a little nicer, I'd make the trip to Pacific Commons. read more

I LOVE Target! Out of Target, Walmart, and K-Mart...Target is the only department store where I'll actually buy clothes...and not just for me but for all of the little ones in my life. Plus...this year I actually got my Christmas tree from their garden center! Not only was it a nice tree that lasted through the holidays, the price was great too! One complaint about this location though... They have those things on their carts that cause them to stop working if you get too far from the store. Well...there are places by the garden center in their own parking lot with their own cart return stalls where the cart will stop working. This was problematic for me when I was trying to transport the aforementioned Christmas tree. read more

If you're expecting to leave this store with all the items you've planned on purchasing, think again. I have been shopping at the HUB location regularly since having my child six months ago. Each time I go to this location the shelves are always bare, mostly in the baby department, however I've observed other departments with the same issue, i.e: personal hygiene, home cleaning supplies, etc... I've spoken to multiple in-store management staff, on multiple occasions, expressing my frustration with the customer experience I receive each time I visit this store, in hopes they'll work towards owning the customer experience. In preparation of a vacay, I stopped in a target (HUB) to pick up some items that my family will need for a two week vacation. For a family a family of six, going on a 2 week vacay, I expected to pick up more than just one deodorant and an outfit for myself and one of my children. Since this location has continuously disappointed me, I will be driving further to a different location to see if the my shopping experience is better, if not I will no longer be a Target customer. Target: This location is in need of help. Please look into making changes before you lose customers to a competitor that believes in customer satisfaction and owning the customer experience. read more

Although I do use Target stores quite often, I don't often visit this branch. The main reason being that it isn't very well organized and always seems to be understaffed. The fresh food products aren't always that fresh and the bathrooms aren't so clean. The only positive thing about this branch is that it has plenty of parking. read more

I just came out of Target at 0930 at the self check out and this time the associate Fariba pointed at us in front of everyone. She looked at the security guard and then pointed at us. If you review the camera at 0932 you'll see her rudely pointing snd staring once again. Clearly the issue had not been resolved with Fariba. The security team didn't make us uncomfortable however Fariba pointed at us in front of everyone as if we are thieves. Please follow up with this. Review the cameras so you can clearly see what the associate is practicing with us. I'll be doing a follow up complaint via the corporate website since no actions have been taken. read more

We come to this store once-in-a-while. It is located at the Fremont Hub ; therefore, when we go walking around the neighborhood, we will stop in to Target to get a look at the merchandise for sale. The store is bright, neat and clean. Clerks are always friendly. We never had a problem with this store. Prices are fair and reasonable. Quality of the merchandise is good. Returns are handled promptly. However, the clothing, food and automotive departments, do not have a great selection of items. In general, a great store for a shopping trip when I do not want to drive (within walking distance). read more

Pretty good Target. Parking isn't that bad and if you're smart, you can park near the Marshall's and walk to a secret entrance in the rear of the store. You can also check-out at the electronics area and avoid the lines in the front. Of cours lots of other people know this as well so you might have a long line anyway. This Target has your run of the mill items and it's usually orderly and not that crowded. read more

Tried to call in multiple times to see whether a particular item was in stock. Currently suffering from a sprained ankle, so I wanted to plan ahead. Each time I called, a person would pick up, breathe into the phone, then immediately hang up. Lack of "customer service" I went to their customer service line last night to price match a Galaxy Gear Fit watch off Amazon. The younger, light-skinned asian lady working the customer service center didn't know what she was doing and couldn't find the item online because Target had it under a different UPC. It's the same exact item. I ended up ordering it on Amazon with same-day shipping for 20% less. While she was trying to figure out how to work her tablet for price matching, I unloaded my cart to pay for the rest of my items (8-10 items total), she cited "store policy" that she couldn't ring up more than 5 items at customer service. So I had to re-load my cart and bring my items to the main checkout. This took place an hour before store closing on a Monday night and there was no line at customer service. Not sure if there is even such a policy or if she was just being lazy, but what a display of a total lack of common sense on her part... read more

I love this Target :) There is always plenty of parking (even during Christmas), the employees are nice, and the place is always clean and organized. Very easy to find what you need, and a lot of distractions along the way :) Just the way a Target should be! They need more checkers, though. The lines usually get backed up. But only by 2 or three people which really isn't much. read more

This is my favorite Target, and I love that they started selling groceries here too! I can usually find pieces from the Go International/designer collaborations, and I find that there's more selection here than at the Newpark Target. It's also cleaner and more spacious. They closed the garden center recently, but I've never bought anything garden-related from Target so it doesn't really affect me. The only thing I hate is getting out of the parking lot off of Walnut, especially if there's a heavy traffic. I usually use the Fremont Blvd or swing around the back instead. P.S. The first west coast establishment I visited after escaping Boston was this Target and... man oh man, be HAPPY that prices are much lower here! When my brother's girlfriend announced she needed some cleaning supplies and I realized my parents didn't have any supplies to bake with, we thought this would be a great place to do some one-stop shopping. I cook often and do a lot of comparison shopping, so I know my way around a grocery store (granted, Target isn't a grocery store... but it does have a food section!), and my jaw was consistently dropping at the much lower prices (which are probably even lower at nearby Foodmaxx). I'll be sad to return to the amount I have to pay at checkout when I come back home. Besides that, this Target is fairly organized and spacious. I asked someone where I could find steel wool, but I guess this must be an outdated tool because they had no idea what I was talking about and left it at that. Let me start off by saying, I freaking love Target, however I dislike this Target oh-so-much! They NEVER have ANYTHING in stock! It's super duper uber frustrating! I come to this Target since it's just about down the street from my work. I come here for a variety of things- baby shower gifts, clothing, shoes, groceries, toiletries- you name it & I'll buy it! I come to this Target location pretty often out of convenience. It's the closest location to me, and I do like this Target though! The location is great since it is in Fremont Hub. It seems like this Target is always packed because I always see so many cars parked in that parking lot. That's a good sign, right? I usually make quick errands run here, so I don't interact too much with the staff. I always know where to go to pick up my items, so I try to get out of there quick before I start going through the entire store to see what I could get (but doesn't necessarily need). The lines are usually kind of long when I am there. Sometimes, there are so little cashiers working and it make all the lines so congested! But my overall experience is good. The customer service is terrible. The employee Jordyn gave us an attitude without the knowledge of the airbed exchange and return policy. We had this problem solved in the South Fremont target and the service is a lot better. I will never go to this target ever again. read more

This Target is nice and clean. They have stuff pretty much in order and its easy to walk through. The lines can be confusing at times, especially when there are a lot of people and it gets crowded. They recently added a food section which isn't too shabby, it just doesn't have the variety of a Safeway. Parking is easy. There's plenty of it. read more

I'm not always here, but when my wife and I are in the neighborhood, we stop by and can always find something here interesting. Target is one of the cheapest places for men to find dress up shocks for about $5 and are very fashionable. The recent upgrade to the store to include fresh produce has been a plus -- now almost a 1 stop shop for groceries and other goodies. read more

I've been a loyal Target shopper for years. Part of the reason is because they have a reputation for treating their employees well and the other part is Target gives good value for my money. Recently, they started carrying groceries. I noticed but haven't paid much attention because I buy most of my groceries at Trader Joe's. Unfortunately, TJ's doesn't have everything I need so I occasionally have to make a trip Safeway. Today, I decided to give Target's grocery department a close look. That turned out to be a very pleasant surprise! I know the prices on lots of things that I buy often. Here is one example in what I bought today that really stands out: Sweet 'N Low, bulk, 8 oz. box Safeway: normal price $4.09; sometimes on sale for $3.89 Target: $2.29 I bought two slabs of pork ribs that look like baby back ribs. I never see those in Safeway; theirs are usually the larger, bonier type, less meat. I didn't expect to find some specialty cleaning items I wanted but they had them. I buy these so rarely that I didn't know the Safeway price but Target's seemed reasonable. The more I looked, the more I realized that they have a much bigger selection of everything than I expected. This store is always so clean and well-lighted that it's a pleasure to shop there. Now I'll be going more often because they're really earning my dollars. Viva Target! read more

I usually have the motive of only getting one item at Target (i.e. an essential) and I try to stick with just the ONE item while constantly repeating the mantra "Okay, just get what you need, just get what you need".. Still, somehow EVERYTIME I go to Target, I end up spending $40+ on a whole load of useless crap. Why Target, why? I'm not rich! Who do you think I am? :( Target, go to hell.. you go to hell & you die! Oh & for some reason, I always get lost in this Target. I like the dollar bins... my son likes being able to pick out a toy and I like the fact that I can appease him with something cheap. It's a great time saving place usually. I can go to one place and get what I need: from new underwear to a carton of milk. I was able to buy the new Weird Al album the day it was released. How much better than that can you get? read more

TV section is a mess. Nothing is on the shelf and you have to ask an associate to check inventory and grab if out of the back if they have it.... assuming you can get help in the first place. Not enough price scanners throughout the store. You have to try and track one down. Don't know why these stores don't incorporate a better system. The food court is always out of everything except popcorn about an hour before they even close that part of the store. That's why they probably don't have too many customers whenever I go there and that's probably the same reason they don't ever have anything stocked. I had a target employee cut me off in line at the food court to grab something and he snagged up the last pizza. Tables and floor are almost always messy... popcorn, stains on the counter tops and trash all over... even when the one staff member on duty appears to have nothing better to do. I've seen store supervisors just standing around supervising everything but the food court. I don't think I've ever received service with a smile in this department. read more

Easy location and tons of parking with lots of other things to do since its located at the Hub. Just like any other Target however seems like this location doesnt have a variety of products and seem to run out of things when I am shopping. Wondering if its just a coincidence. One of the better Targets in the area. It's clean and fully stocked. However, like most targets, the clothes don't seem to have many small or mediums. This is also a bigger target as well. Only thing I don't like is how the PIzza Hut area smells kind of funky when I walk by after I check out. read more

Target over Walmart all day long. Walmart is a smigen cheaper, but the store is always jammed packed so you have to wait in line to buy your stuff. It's also always a total mess in Walmart. Target is always kept very clean, they have a ton of staff there to help you with anything as well. This Fremont location is always a quick in & out process for me. Living in the Bay Area you always look for that in a shopping instance. LOL. read more

After the Automall location opened up, I usually don't come to this location anymore. The streets are always busy due to it's location (downtown Fremont) and their selections aren't comparable to the Automall location. I'm more of a "Walmart" girl because the prices at Target are a little higher. However, whenever I get free gift cards, it's usually for Target. Something about this location was not the best experience. Everything was poorly stocked and disorganized. I do commend them for being open til midnight during the week though! I was able to find a toy that was half off with cartwheel when the Target at the Pacific Commons were already sold out. So not my go-to Target but a backup or if I am at the Hub for something else and need something at Target. read more

It's an okay location at the Fremont Hub, and pretty much your typical Target. Two sets of doors at the main corner entrance, with the Guest Service right inside along with the main sets of checkout lanes and self-checkout kiosks. Parking isn't usually too much of a problem. read more

My favorite Target store. *Helpful employees - I really wanted the old formula of Method cleaning spray. The new stuff stinks. Literally. Anyway, there was one old bottle left on the shelf, surrounded by a bunch of bottles with the new formula. He checked inventory of other stores and in the back, but it was all the new formula. Then, he asked if he could call me sometime. I declined, so he offered to give me his number. No thanks, you were very nice, but I'm good. * Prices are better than the Target at Pacific Commons, Bayfair Mall, Target on Whipple Ave near 880 (and Target Newpark Mall before they closed). * Open pretty late all week. * Has the magical ability to have me walk in, woman on a mission with shopping list in hand, then walk out with bags full of things I never knew I needed but just had to have. I went in looking for a wedding gift for my coworker. I found and purchased a few items from the gift registry, BUT then I also picked up a 4 burner gas grill that I suddenly just HAD to have. Totally random, right? The security guard grabbed a flatbed cart and another employee to "team lift" that bad boy and then transported the grill to customer service while I continued shopping. Two other employees met me at customer service and accompanied me to my car in order to load it into the trunk. They waited patiently as I emptied out my trunk to make space. Such wonderful service! I love target, they have everything you could ever possibly need. I would have given this target more stars, but the photo center totally sucks. I waited, and waited and then someone had to hunt down an employee to help us. I've experienced better photo center service at other targets. Other than that, I can't get enough Target.
