BULLSEYE Whether an in-car pickup or in-store purchase, this Target on Boughton usually hits the mark. My wife loves doing Target runs, and sending me on Target runs (I don't mind the part where I get to sit in my toasty warm car and have stuff brought out to me like a king). Most of the time, the employees have been fast to come out when we can't be bothered to go inside, and they've always been nice. Last trip here, I got blu-rays of The Batman & Everything Everywhere All At Once for $10 each, happy to see recent films at such cheap prices. Now that I think about it, I've found some great items in Target's electronics department, most of them movies at a deep discount. Over the years, we've bought several pieces of light furniture and miscellaneous homegoods from this Target (storage cubes, pantry organizer, can opener) with mostly good experiences. This past Christmas, I gifted my wife a set of tiffany blue cookware and found the color different than what was on the packaging, so that was a bit of a let down. I was ready to dunk on Target for having higher priced groceries (a gallon of milk here is $3.39, compared to $2.06 @ Aldi), then I checked a few other basic necessities (Tabasco, a box of Twinkies) and found that most things cost the same as at Meijer. The shelves here were nearly empty during the pandemic, though, so that discouraged us from doing any significant shopping for a while. Of important note: they don't sell alcohol, so if you're roaming the aisles looking for the liquor section, you can stop looking--it's a 'dry store'. While it doesn't mark the end of the world, the Jewel Osco next door and the Meijer across the street are both well stocked with booze, so Target is the odd man out. * TL;DR * Generally speaking, Bolingbrook's Target is as accurate as one could hope for. This store is much bigger than the one we frequented in Oak Park (despite that location carrying cold beer/seltzers), the workers are friendlier, and the drive-up service is convenient. We'll continue to come here for as long as we live in the area; if Target were an airline, by now my wife would have racked up enough miles for a trip around the planet. Very poor Customer Service I have an issue and they never answer their phone. Placed a car pick up but their app isn't working!

Over many years shopping here, I've found that prices listed on the shelf are often inaccurate. It's frustrating, Target seems like the company with the worst pricing inaccuracies. It's such a waste of time going to customer service for adjustments, this should be a non-issue. I bought some chocolate candies on shelf listed as $5.99, rang up at checkout for $6.19. Had to go to customer service wait in line 15 minutes for my 80 cent adjustment refund. They either don't care or are totally incompetent for the pricing errors to occur as frequently as they do. I went today to get the BTS lightstick for a friend and two girls helped me.. not really I asked about the lightstick was directed to another girl then when she asked what I wanted help with I was told they had none left. I really like this Target! They are a relatively large store for the area and keep stock pretty well. There are pricier than the nearby Meijer and Aldis, but less expensive than Jewel Osco next door. It's nice to browse as they keep things organized and clean. I will say a star off to the fact that lines usually take very long - there usually isn't enough staff at the checkout lanes or at the returns desk. There are a couple of items they don't have oddly, but generally, they do have enough to hold you over in terms of pantry. The nice part is also the Starbucks in the store as well! For fresh produce, I would recommend going elsewhere unless you are already inside! read more

I was worried that I had made a huge mistake by ordering online for pickup on Black Friday. In the morning I saw there were loooooooooooon lines for Taylor Swift products, some people had started lining up at midnight. Would I live to regret this? No issues. The parking lot was a bit of a hazard, but once I was in the store I found the customer pick-up desk, supplied my information and had my purchase within 5 minutes. Staff was incredibly polite, store appeared to be clean, and the Swifties were long gone. Item was on sale and had an additional discount if I was willing to pick it up. Win ~ win. read more

I bought my art marker here. The quality of the marker was good. The ink is not easily drained. When my friends saw and used my pen marker she asked me where I bought it. I'll say the name of this mall and the location of it to her. She pleased me to come with her to buy it. So yesterday we came here. She excitedly entered the store and directly went to the pen selection. While she's choosing what she likes I went to the selection of a paper. I bought a coupon bond, color bond and venom board. She was so happy to approach me with the marker she had chosen. Lot of pen marks she bought with a different color. We also bought acrylic and canvas. We will make a portrait tomorrow and display it in our room. This is now our best spot to buy our art materials. We can't wait to come here again. We highly recommend this place. read more

I love going on Target runs. You can literally go with anyone you want and it's so fun. I love this Target specifically because there is a Starbucks inside so I usually like to grab a drink while doing my shopping. Sometimes I look on the website to get what I want and it says that it's in stock, but a couple of times I have gone in and what I wanted wasn't there but that's not really their fault. Deserves 0 stars I had a pick up order that I needed switched to drive up for personal reasons I tried calling the store itself and the specific department and no one ever picked up I called multiple times it's extremely frustrating and disappointing they have a truly horrific way of dealing with phone calls makes the costumer feel unimportant and ignored even embarrassed. No issues with going to this target. They've definitely done a great job of updating the store. It is really clean and easy to find the items. The grocery section has really improved and they have all the different kinds of foods, even frozen and fresh produce like blueberries and strawberries. The parking is decent and it's never really too full so you get a great spot. Bathrooms are always clean which is really helpful. I've also purchased some items online and had it delivered to this store and they do a good job of handling the receiving although they do ask for an ID which is understandable. I'll for sure be coming back to this target location. Highly recommend this store. You'll find great deals o clearance too. I don't visit this location regularly but I am in the area quite a bit. Unfortunately, this Target does not deliver the experience I'm used to. It's quite dingy in my opinion and certainly not as organized as my fave spot in Shorewood - I've been spoiled! An instant improvement would occur if they would stock their shelves and turn some lights on. Some shelves are just totally empty and if I wanted to shop in the dark, I'd just go to Walmart. While this isn't the worst target I've been to, I will not make an effort to visit this location, when I'm in the area. I've seen a more organized Walmart. What's wrong Target? This Target used to be great and really had a lot going for it... until it got a face lift last Summer. During the remodel to make it bigger the store was totally moved around and covered in crap. It's been done with the remodel for months now and it still looks like 'pardon our dust' style crap. The store is now set up like a Kmart and smells like a Walmart. The customer service counter ladies are A-holes. My boyfriend was trying to return something and the lady gave him total attitude. Long story short, his entire bank's database was compromised and they had to cancel and reissue every customer's debit card. My bf had purchased the item he wanted to return on that card, prior to his bank's issue, and when he want to return the item and that card no longer worked he was out of luck, even though he had the receipt and the item he purchased was Target brand... when he explained his debit card story the manager at the customer service desk walk ed over and said "Like I haven't heard that on before"... uhm, what? That bitch is lucky I wasn't at the counter because I would shoved my fist in her face. Pull the stick out of your lazy ass and give him store credit, beotch! Anyway, the whole place is messy, no order, and looks like a clearance rack. Their selection is weak in comparison to other Target stores and the way their checkout lines are set up is mayhem. Go to a different Target for any needs besides pharmacy... the pharmacy peeps are the only educated and reasonable people in the joint. I pray for them. Oh yes, during the "expansion" they downgraded from 2 entrances on either side of the building, to 1 so now everyone coming in and going out uses the same door, going in and out the wrong way. Also, the one opening is built on the corner of the building with one side being a busy intersection, the other the tip of the parking lot. I'm shocked that no one has gotten hot by a car yet. It's insanity... worst design ever. Can't walk there, can't drive there... so stupid. And the corner door makes the large parking lot a pain because unless you get a spot in the very front row, you're pretty far from the one, inconveniently placed door. read more

This is your typical Target store but I feel like the prices just keep going up. The store is well maintained and very clean, and the groceries are plentiful but if you're coming here for groceries, expect to pay a pretty penny. Even the Target brand items are pretty pricy. Other than that it is a standard Target store. I enjoy the design and layout of the store and it is much more pleasant to walk around than the other big shopping stores. They really invested a lot into improving their online presence because they have a whole section for online pick up and drop off for returns. The electronics section is good but I feel like you can get most items way cheaper online. The best section is the clothing, I've bought many items from this store. read more

I needed to buy one item (toilet paper) on a Sunday. You'd think that they would have enough cashiers on a weekend but there were only two registers open, I waited at least 5 minutes and the line was still long (see my picture). I have always loved shopping at this location, i used to recieve amazing help from the ladies in the beauty and health section for a very long time, i have been even thinking about applying! Today, i witnessed one of the managers disrespecting two beauty concierge and two other girls with aprons on. let me tell you, i will NOT be shopping here anymore NOR will i apply! the manager who was wearing a red shirt, red sweater, jeans, had short brown hair, (i believe her name was sara) was pointing fingers in these girls faces (who are by the way, way younger than her), yelling saying "what have you been doing? stop talking! nothing is being done!" when they have loads of carts with merchandise. the beauty concierge was pulling out equipment and the manager was telling the beauty concierge to stop talking about her and telling her if she cant do things herself she shouldnt be doing the job. furiously, she began telling her she was gonna report her and dialed the girls boss. these girls are so down to earth, and i am in complete disgust from what i just witnessed a couple hours ago at TARGET. i am not comfortable here, seeing how they treat the people who work for them. has the lady ever heard of good leadership and teamwork? read more

I always find what I need, what I want, and what I want but don't need to buy in this store. Since they've remodeled, it's much nicer, cleaner, and even has a Starbucks so I can enjoy my vanilla rooibos tea latte as I shop. What I love most about this store is that I can get Wal-Mart prices on a lot of things without having to go to Wal-Mart. I'd like to think that this is an above average Target. The store has a great selection of everything you could need on an average shopping trip. This store used to be just general merchandise, but they have been adding grocery for a while, and it's turned out pretty good. They have a good selection of clothes, toys, homewares, electronics, and some basic hardware. You're not going to find a huge selection in any one of those areas, just the basics, but unless you're looking for something that's obscure, you can probably find it here. The grocery section is mostly non-perishables, but they do have a limited frozen and fresh foods area. The fresh food area is pretty small compared to other stores in the area. Nothing is prepared in house. There is no deli or anything like that, so when you see premade stuff like sandwiches or cut up fruit, it was done elsewhere and shipped in. I really like this store. It's inexpensive, but you never feel like it's dirty. read more

UPDATE: I believe my children and I were followed by a man in that store. Please be careful and go directly to security if you feel the same. I personally believed the man following me to be plain clothes security and didn't say anything for that reason. I called while in my car to complain and I was informed that it was not their employees. The operator was annoyed that I was venting to her about my terrifying experience. Terrifying. The employees at this Target make it four stars. It doesn't always have all of the products in stock that I need but after my awful, very terrible, and irritating experiences at the one on Jefferson, I have come to truly appreciate this welcoming staff. From Syed to Sonia, to the employee who dyes her hair wild colors, and the gentleman who greets you at the door and hands you a cart, my girls and I are always greeted with a smile. I remember when a manager saw me searching for milk that I could not find. He asked me if he could grab it from the back. He did it with a genuine smile. I also love digging through clearance at this location the most. It does need some type of Reno because the registers at check out are kind of weird but we only ever go during what they must consider down time. Don't be fooled though. I thought all Targets were created equal but I was wrong. I personally am not a fan of this one because it's not organized at all. You have to carefully look at what your taking off the shelf, just because you think you know the price but will find out your wrong. I have never been to a target where so many items were shelved wrong. The majority of the items I made this trip were a different price when I got to the register. I just went to this particular one because I was in the area. Next time I think I'll just wait til I get closer to to home. read more
