This review update is specifically about drive-up pickup. See my previous reviews for Target shopping in general and tips to save money. Here are the pros and cons. If you want to read more about them, details are given below. PROS +Pick-up: It so easy and quick to pick up your order. There's no time slot to reserve. All you have to do is let them know when you leave home using the app. They follow you using GPS and meet you on the store parking lot. +Refrigerated food has been added to their pick-up services (in store and curbside). +No minimum purchase (if I'm not mistaken) +Long store hours CONS -App only: Drive-up pickup is only available on the app. -Excluded items: There are quite a few things that are not available for pickup, such as alcohol and things that people panic buy, such as toilet paper. RE: App -I like doing online shopping on my computer, but drive-up pickup is only available on the app. You could use your computer to put things in the cart and purchase them on the app, but you would have to change the pickup method to drive-up on the app. You need to do this one item at a time! RE: Special Offers They are very clear but not all special offers are available for Target pickup. Conclusions Because what I can pick up from Target is limited, I still have to stop at other places like Whole Foods. The Target at Bellis Fair in Bellingham is one of my least favorite Targets in WA state. I used to look forward to going and walking the aisles with my starbucks but I now avoid this location as much as possible. Since COVID only 1/2 of the dressing rooms are re-opened and sometimes you have to wait 30-45 minutes in line just to try something on. The store is continually a mess with clothes unorganized and falling all over the floor (dont even get me started on the disaster zone that was the 2023 swimsuit section). The less than $20 shelf as you enter is never stocked no matter the season. read more

This may very well be the most organized and spaciously laid out Target I've been to. Now, I don't live anywhere near this location, so I can only speak as a one time visiting guest... but I was impressed! The interior is laid out more like a department store than the Targets near me-- fitting, since this Target's apart of a mall complex. My friend and I both found plenty of items we were shopping for, like sunglasses, planters and potting soil, video games and extra controllers for the Nintendo Switch, a specific DVD, and a standing tower fan. Random, yes. All available and easily found, also yes. The guy working the electronic section helped out with the video games and he was really nice and helpful. I bought sunglasses and realized after I bought them that they were broken... the customer service rep was super helpful and swapped them out for me with no problem at all. So I give this Target five stars and hope that some of the ones near me get this sort of spacious, super helpful vibe! :) read more

A Target is a Target is a Target. This one is on the older side, seeming slightly grungy at times, but carries everything you may need in a one-stop shop: food items, clothing for the whole family, accessories, furniture and home goods, baby furnishings and care supplies, organizing supplies, electronics, etc. Staff are wearing masks and cleaning carts upon return, doing what they can to keep themselves and customers safe. read more

I used to love going to Target. During the pandemic the Bellis Fair Mall store looked great! I hate to say it, the Canadian buyers returned and now the store looks horrible! Many items are lying on the floors throughout the store. My suggestion to the manager is to make an announcement over their intercom system thanking shoppers for returning any unwanted merchandise to the department clerk or to put the items back on the rack or shelf they got them from. It's rude to treat your neighboring county with such disrespect. I feel sorry for the clerks who work there. Canadian's please be respectful when visiting Bellis Fair Mall stores. Literally every time something shows in stock online it's nowhere to be found in the store. Today I wanted a specific product, showed in stock and went to Target. The cosmetic section is an absolute disaster. Stuff strewn everywhere, totally disorganized, looks like it's been ransacked. I looked for this item for 30 minutes. Then I went to customer service, they looked it up and pointed me to an aisle I'd already searched. I went back and looked again. Still couldn't find it. Went back to customer service. they showed 6 in stock. They came over and looked with me. still nothing. Then in desperation I used the app to find a similar but more expensive item. that one showed as in stock. You can guess what happened. The store looks like a cyclone hit it. It's filthy and everything is out of stock. I'm done. read more

I don't shop at Target but ran in today. It was shocking. The clothing area was a total mess. Only four dressing rooms with long lines. The other dressing room was blocked off with carts full of stuff. People were stepping on the clothes all over the floor. Some shelves were almost bare. I've never seen anything like it and felt gross just looking at clothes. I'll never go back. read more

This Target is so bad, I can't get out fast enough and go weeks between going. And I'm a stay at home mom of two so I'm the prime Target demographic! Ever since we moved to Bellingham last December this store has been going through a redesign. But the last few months have been truly awful. They are in a constant manic restocking of literally every aisle...at all times. I just left, 11am on a Tuesday...I couldn't even push my cart down aisles. I had to lift the thing up and over carts full of overstock. There were large areas that weren't even reachable, making those products un-buyable. If they're driving me, the stay at home mom out alone escaping my kids, out of the store they must be losing so much money. Surely this intrusive restocking can be done overnight? I thought it was a one-off but it's been two or three times now, weeks apart ***this Target is STILL terrible. The aisles are full of pallets and employees yet the shelves are still inexplicably empty. I asked if this is still remodeling and the cashier said no it's due to the new truck schedule. Management really needs to sort this out. It's not an atmosphere that invites shopping. November 2019: nope. Still just a warehouse that calls itself a target. Added more photos from today's trip. Entire aisles inaccessible to shoppers because of boxes upon boxes of stock that should be in the back. Also...why is the dollar section also so sad? Odd location but nice employees! I always forget when I'm in Bellingham that the only Target is a part of Bellis Fair Mall. And it's not in the most obvious or visible spot! I once drove around twice looking for it on a particularly low visibility snowy day! Once you're inside it is your typical Target - with a comfortable layout that is easy to figure out. They have all the basics and there's not really ever a line at checkout. read more

The emo girl with bug green eyes with the piercings working the pick up orders is no help whatsoever. i had an online order for one thing that was out of stock in the store but it confirmed my purchase and she refused to check if it might have been ready 1 hour after purchase and 1 hour before the closing of the store. awful customer service from her, i guess her job is to just stand there at order pickup instead of do anything to help. read more

Since moving to Vancouver, Canada this past year, there's really not much that I miss about the USA (other than my friends, of course). The three American things I miss the most, though, are what I call the "Three T's": Target, Trader Joe's and TJ Maxx. Oh, how I miss those three stores! So it was with much joy that I was able to shop in this Target here in Bellingham recently, less than two hours from my new Vancouver home. This Target is currently under construction in the rear of the store (perhaps it's just being remodeled. I'm not sure), so the store is a bit in disarray in the back, with empty sections cordoned off with tape. So it's difficult to assess this Target store due to this temporary construction. For the most part, this Target is like all other Targets (which is a GOOD thing!): they have tons of items in a lot of diverse departments (cosmetics/pharmacy, clothing/accessories, sports/exercise, office/school/crafts, kitchen/bathroom/bedroom, cleaning, and groceries). I have always loved the quality of merchandise here, and the prices. The Target generic line ("Up & Up") is as good as any brand, and the cost of this generic line is amazingly low. There's a decent "dollar" area by the front door, and they always have a ton of seasonal, holiday merchandise. I like how this Target is attached to the Bellis Fair Mall on the interior, and how there's a ton of parking available (due to it being in the mall. It actually is an anchor store in this mall). There's a Target cafe by the entrance (not a Starbucks, unfortunately, like there was in my old beloved Redmond, WA Target). Our check-out experience was quick and easy. And I spent way more here than I had expected to. As usual. Gotta love Target! read more

This Target is not like the ones you are used to. I have lived in Bellingham for 3 years and need to keep reminding myself not to come back here. Inevitably, 6 months passes, I forget, and I get the urge for a Target run. Then I remember Target is a bad place to shop in Bellingham. Clothes all over the floor and picked through, no dressing rooms EVER! empty shelves, everything I want, out of stock. It's like no one is actually running this store. It's always a mess and always a disappointment that has me walking out and going to another retailer. This store needs new management. One place worth checking out for deals as there is no longer a Canadian equivalent. Parking is available in the nice large lot beside Bellis Fair. The selection is similar to Walmart, but with a smaller grocery selection and more home-type stuff. They actually have a pretty decent electronics section too. Deals can be had, but it takes bit of looking around to find a good deal. Sometimes things are cheaper at Costco or Walmart, sometimes not. Be sure to pet the cute Target dog near the checkout area before leaving. Little guy could use some attention. read more

I really like target and shop at their stores regularly, but at the this Bellingham location...(which is closest to me) The maternity section has hardly any options in store. Wish there was more in store than having to go to Burlington or order online.. The women's bathroom is worse than a public rest stop bathroom. There's always a strong urine smell, the toilet paper dispenser in the larger stall has been beaten up for way too long. Not all stalls have the seat covers to use. The floors look like they have never been moped. Please clean better and more regularly. The staff never looks friendly, most are teenagers who look like they were forced to work there, so I avoid asking them anything anymore. read more

This Target really hits the spot. I don't always treat myself to a Target trip, but when I do, I make sure it's the one in Bellingham. The aisles are expansive in a way that most Targets aren't. The greeting card aisle is particularly ravishing after a long day at work. read more

What a let down and disappointment. I was suffering from Target withdrawal after moving back from San Jose, CA to Vancouver, BC so I decided to make a trip to Bellingham to check out the Target store closest to where I live. I was looking for a tub of American Crew Pomade. 5 tubs on the shelf, one after another, when I turned open the lid to look, each tub has been swiped by someone. It was just plain disgusting. Why 2 stars and not 1? Sadly to say, it's still better than Zellers in terms of the selection of merchandise it carries, merchandise display, and the prices. read more

I love it here. It's clean, it's friendly, and you get most of what you need as long as you aren't looking for higher end, specialty items. Some products even offer a "buy 2, get five dollars off" your next purchase, which you can use right-then-and-there. This was especially helpful for products that women under menopausal ages are lucky enough to purchase. Cashier was super nice, and how is it in a store this busy that the lines move that fast? They didn't have absolutely "everything" that I wanted here, but there is nothing that comes close to Target in Canada. And once we do get one, like everything else, the prices certainly won't be as good, either. read more

I love Target so the 1 star is definitely not for the store itself. The store itself gets 5 stars! I love their home decor, their cosmetic sections and also, their cute stationaries there. The 1 star is for the male employee with the curly-ish long hair that had assisted me at check-out today. In the cosmetic section, it had noted spend $20 and get a $5 target gift card back for spending next time. I always read the fine print on coupons just in case there was something that it didn't include or it's restrictions. While at check-out, I asked the employee if I can break up the transactions so that I can get extra $5 gift cards as I spending around $120 and I would get 6 gift cards if I did it that way. He was incredibly rude and told me that it cannot be done and that he would lose his job blah blah blah. Then I asked if I can just split the purchase into 2 because both hubs and I were there. Then he goes off saying that's one per household and that management would fire him. I advised him that it does NOT state anything that he had mentioned about the coupon in the fine print. I told him to call over management so that I can talk to them. His supervisor came over and was like no big deal...which was ironic because he acted like as if I was committing fraud and he would be fired for sure. Next time, I'll just take all my stuff and walk over to another cashier....someone takes their minimum wage job waaaaaay too seriously. read more

I've always loved Target and was so happy when it finally came to Canada... and sad again when it left shortly after. As there is hardly a chance that Target will make its way back to Canada, this location is the closest one to me. Target is usually on my go-to list when I'm doing my States' run. I never have anything in particular I want to buy, but it's always fun for me to browse through the aisles and find something fun or for a great deal. Their seasonal items are always fun to go through - including holiday stuff and summer bbq stuff. Love that they have easy access parking through their entrance. Makes it easier for the Bellis Fair routine, which is park at Target, walk around the mall, finish off at Target and haul everything to the car :) read more

What is there to say about Target, except that it is the store equivalent of a best friend. It always has the essentials, and is there for you no matter where you are. You can walk into any store and feel at home. The Bellingham location is not my favorite, but it is definitely not the most disheveled one I have been in. I think they have a hard time keeping things organized due to the high volume of shoppers that frequent it. When I visited yesterday it was in better shape than most days, and we had a blast walking up and down every aisle. I always have a hard time keeping my spending in check when we shop this way, but it is fun too find incredible deals on products you need. Not to say there aren't ample opportunities for impulse buys! My only frustration was in the check out line. The checker was very slow and kind of out of it. She was friendly enough, but when it came time to make my purchases she pushed the Target debit card with reckless abandon. I quietly listened to her initial pitch and politely declined. I made the mistake of mentioning I didn't need another credit card. She launched into how it wasn't a credit card, or a points card, and that it worked like writing a check but I would immediately see savings before the receipt even printed. Every time I said "no thank you" she looked at me like I was crazy. The whole interaction was strange. I love Target and am sure to be back, most likely within the next week, I just wish that when someone declines something that choice was respected. If I had a Target card that would be putting my self control under way more pressure than I can handle. read more

We've been coming to this Target for like 20 years. Weekend trips to Maple Falls always included a late night trip to Target for anything and everything. An extra bonus is that it stays open past mall hours and so you can shop till you drop in the mall and then spend more time in Target. The $1 section always has random treats (plush animal face masks anyone??) and is a must stop when entering the store. I haven't eaten at the little cafe and so I can't comment on that, but the popcorn always smells lovely and the seats are usually full. The women's section is separated into casual, business, and maternity/plus sizes. They have fabulous bathing suits and at very low prices. Mossimo tanks keep me cool in the summer and long sleeves are perfect for fall/winter/spring. I've never had to wait for the change room, though sometimes they're a little overrun with clothing to return to the racks. Shoes range in quality, but they always have options in the most recent styles. Kid's shoes are available and as they always seem to have a supply of sparkly 'Dorothy' shoes, I'm totally jealous. The seasonal section is my favorite, with huge displays for each season and/or holiday. Makeup and toiletries cover anything you need (or forgot on your trip) and the stationary section has everything from greeting cards to Martha Stewart wedding supplies. Be sure to check out the media section for cheap DVDs, books, and Cd's. And finally, the food area. I could spend hours walking through, seeing all of the random treats that we're not lucky enough to have up here. Kashi products are available galore, along with Almond Joys and other delightful candies. Their selection of alcohol always makes me a little sad inside, as the prices are about 90% cheaper than what we pay here in Vancouver. Wine Box wines are my favorite, coming either in small tetra pack 'juice boxes' or larger cubes with the equivalent to 4 bottles of wine inside. Be sure to try the Sangria! While this location might be a little on the older/smaller side, staff are always extremely helpful and product stock levels are always high. read more

The Bellingham Target (when the border gods are smiling) is 15 minutes from my house so I grace its aisles reasonably often. Because I keep feeding my children, they always seem to need new clothing and shoes. In tough times, it is nice to be able to find my daughter a pair of jeans that she loves, with an adjustable waistband for $9.99. The service is friendly and the selection is great. We hit the store around supper time so we all had a sandwich at the snack bar in Target and this is what lost them a star. DISGUSTING!! The food was great and cheap but it was filthy, the floor had grime on it and there was smoodge on all the tables. I cleaned a table as best I could, we had our snack and got on with the task at hand. On another note, the cashier was probably the nicest friendliest person I have ever had the pleasure of handing my credit card to. She was great with my kids, funny engaging and efficient. Why can't we have Target stores in Canada? The cool brands and designers doing lines for Target (Todd Oldham, Salma Hayek's brother's line of stationery, for example), the cute store brand Italian sodas and gourmet snacks - we get none of this at our tragic Canadian counterpart, Zellers. On my last visit, I was enthralled to a ridiculous degree by the four-pack Tetra-Pak of wines. They were so small and colourful, and cheap by Canadian standards, and came in a whole schwack of varieties from Riesling to Pinot Noir. Awww, so adorable that I cursed the Canada Customs inwardly that I could not buy more than two of them to take home with me. The wine itself turned out to be sort of meh, actually, but each 250 mL package was perfect for a serving of two glasses. Well, I guess if Canada did get a Target, they wouldn't be allowed to sell alcohol, but we would finally have access to goods that are both cheap and cool. C'mon Target, give Canada some love. read more
