And each were $1,000 or less. I've been burnt by $400.00 press board couches so I stepped it up to a grand and I definitely got my moneys worth. Our couch is really solid in its frame and even more comfy to sit on. Definitely the best couch we've ever bought. The service was great too. I found a couch I liked and ordered it online. They told me my couch would be delivered on Saturday between 3-5PM. They did not lie. Precisely at 3pm, their truck showed up with two friendly/professional gentleman and they loaded it up a flight of stairs and into my living room no problem. It was so quick and hassle free. Again, I'm no furniture critic but I am a very happy customer.

We were told one is no longer being made, one has a 6 week lead time, and the other a 12 week lead time. We were disappointed to have been shown the discontinued one as it fit my very tall husband best. We liked the 12 week one better, but went with the 6 week loveseat as family was to visit and we needed the seating. We paid for it in full. Called July 24 to get an update. Was told Lou wasn't in. The receptionist couldn't see the ETA page. Said she'd have Lou call us with an update. Looking at the receipt I did notice no ETA was given. Lou never called. Walked into Samuel's on August 14, 8 weeks after the order. Again was told Lou normally works but was out. Again the receptionist couldn't see any ETA information. However, it was stated that that particular company does have a 12 week lead time, so we were still in the delivery window. I said we were told 6 weeks and if we had been told the reality, we would have gone with the other loveseat that we liked better!! A copy of our receipt was taken. We were told Lou would call us with an update. Lou never called. August 25th we got a call from the office manager. We were informed that the imported parts needed for manufacturing the loveseat had been lost so there would be a delay. BUT also our order HAD NEVER BEEN PLACED so there would be a lead time of an additional 12 weeks!! We still needed the loveseat. I said my husband and I would discuss it and get back to them. We were offered a rebate for our inconvenience. August 26th husband decided enough. He went into Samuel's and requested the order be cancelled and a refund issued. He was told their accounting department would get back to him in a couple of days!! We're still waiting for them to call. When we ordered we paid for the item in full right then, but we have to wait on their leisure for a refund when the errors are theirs! They've given erroneous information, evaded communication, and took our funds but failed to place the order!! We've spoken to others, this appears to be Samuel's SOP. Do not recommend doing business with them unless the item you want is in stock, in their warehouse, ready for you to pick up right now!

As someone who frequently makes trips up over the border to head to Ikea, I was excited for a…read morelarge-scale furniture store closer to home. I headed there soon after they opened, and was both shocked and pleasantly surprised to see they had, quite literally, taken over the ENTIRETY of the former K-dog store in Sunset Square. In other words: THIS PLACE IS HUGE. I would describe At Home as a combination of Ikea, Costco and Big Lots with a little bit of Pier One thrown in for some character. It feels like they have everything you could possibly need to turn your house or apartment into a cute space. From outdoor furniture to indoor accessories to wall art this is basically a one stop shop that would have been a dream place back in the old days when I used to decorate model homes. But what At Home offers in selection (and decent prices) it lacks in character and inspiration. In other words, you pretty much need to bring your own creativity. Yeah, they have a few mini room displays tossed around the store for inspiration, but one of the things I love about other stores (think Ikea or, locally, The Greenhouse) is that they display entire rooms, or at least vignettes, that spark ideas and - presumably - result in consumers buying more products than they initially planned. I love the inspiration I get when I see not only a couch displayed, but an entire room. At Home definitely lacks this, even though they have MORE than enough space to accomplish it. The MOST frustrating part about the store was the absolutely abysmal setup of the checkout area. There are no lanes, just a small grouping of cash registers and one master line - which would be okay (it works in some places) if there was a way for cashiers to indicate they're free to serve you. But there's not. And the angle of the line is such that you can't SEE the cashiers. So they each have to basically jump out into the aisle to announce they're free. It's REALLY weird, and super bad planning. I felt bad for them! Also, the smell inside this place was overwhelming - worse in some aisles than others. I'm going to give them a pass on it, as they're new and I assume that "fresh plastic/paint/?" smell will disperse after a time. But if you're sensitive to smells, I'd give it a little time to air out before going.

I am replacing my initial review of five stars with this…read more I purchased a leather and steel love seat in Sept 2021. The price was $2100 which was a major purchase for me. The sales person was very kind and helpful during our interaction. We had some questions that he couldn't answer. He attempted to talk with the owner in another room and was given little and uninterested attention. Later as we were discussing the item and purchase, the owner happened to pass through the showroom and the sales person again attempted to ask him a question and he was given a flippant rather rude answer. It gave me the feeling of disrespect of the sales person as well as us, the customer. We purchased the item anyway, though we seriously considered walking. Now, 2+ years later, we have discovered a failure in the cushion hook and loop attachment system. The cushion is held in place by a strip of hook and loop (Velcro) along the front edge. The hook strip is sewn onto the couch. There is no loop strip. Instead hook strip grabs the fabric on the bottom side of the cushion. That fabric has kind of a fuzzy surface. When we remove the cushion, the hooks tear a little bit of the fabric away until I found that the fabric now has a hole in it. If it was a true hook and loop, the fabric would not have been subjected to this tearing. Of course this only happens when the cushions are removed for cleaning underneath. Admittedly, I haven't clean under the cushions more than six times in the last two years. That is not very many removals of the cushions that would warrant a "normal wear and tear" defense. The owner's earlier conduct was repeated when I called him about the failure. Disinterest and disregard. He answered "When we separate the cushion from the body of the chair, we place our hand right next to the Velcro and release it with a sliding motion, rather that just pulling up on the cushion. That lessans the tension on the connection point. I don't know what else to say. No one has every pointed this out." The couch didn't come with an Owner and Operation Manual. I didn't know that there was a procedure for removing the cushions. I am extremely disappointed in the owners attitude toward customer service and the quality of the company products. Although the over quality of the piece is good, I would not recommend doing business with this company.
